COLBY POV
i was on my phone scrolling through instagram. i noticed my likes went down by almost two thousand. and the comment section has been going crazy ever since i've been set up with y/n. she's a big nerd, and it's ruining my reputation.
i don't know if i want to stay with her any longer. she's so dorky it makes me look like i've downgraded on my taste in girls. y/n is cute sure but she isn't pretty or beautiful. i want a naturally beautiful girl, and y/n just isn't that.
i called brennen, i had to figure out what i have to do about this. i dialed his number, and he picked up after two rings. "wassup bro?" he asked, his normal cheery voice when i call him. "i need help dude." i said, and i could tell he was listening in.
"it's y/n. she's ruining my reputation, and my likes have gone down a ton. she's a huge fucking nerd! and she weirds people out. she's not even attractive, like she isn't beautiful or pretty at that. she has such a baby face it makes me feel like i'm dating just a cute little girl. i'm tired of this. what do i do?" i ranted, finally feeling free getting this off my chest.
i heard fast footsteps go up the stairs, and a door slam. "brennen hang on, i have to go see what's wrong with her this time." i hung up as i rolled my eyes. i walked up the stairs and knocked on her door, putting on my best fake smile and nice attitude.
YOUR POV
"she's not even attractive, like she isn't beautiful or pretty at that-" the tears fell down your face and you had heard enough. you ran upstairs and slammed the door to your bedroom. you soon heard footsteps outside the door, and light knock.
"babe let me in." he said. his voice made your cries become heard, and he just put his ear to the door. colby thought for a second, is she crying? and soon enough your sobs were racking your body. colby's heart hurt at the sound of you hurt, and he didn't understand why.
"y/n, open the door, what's wrong?" you finally opened it, keeping your glasses on so it would shield how much you were actually crying. "am i just reputation to you?" you asked him, upset clearly heard in your voice. his eyes widened, and his heart pounded, and he again didn't know why.
"y/n, whatever you heard, i'm sorr-" you cut him off before he could finish, not wanting to hear his poor excuse. "and apparently i'm not pretty enough for you, huh? too much of a baby face to actually be naturally attractive?" you asked, and colby shook his head frantically.
"no- no y/n. listen to me please." colby said as he gripped the back of your upper arms. you shoved him away, tears falling even more out of your eyes. "what is there to listen to?! i've heard enough out there! if you hate me so much, then leave me colby!" you screamed, and his tears fell out of his eyes.
his heart shattered, and he didn't understand what he was feeling. "no! no y/n i can't leave you!" colby said, trying to step closer to you. "why not?! you obviously made it sound like you can to whatever friend you were on the phone with out there!" you shouted, and pointed towards the living room by pointing at the door.
"i-i don't know why.. i don't understand what's happening. hearing you cry, and seeing you hurt in front of me... i-it hurt me. it hurt my heart. and i don't know why or what that means, but i know that i can't leave you. my heart won't let me." he confessed, and you could tell he meant that he was confused.
"colby... i know you don't want to hear this. but that is what love feels like." his eyes widened as he looked over at you abruptly. you sighed, "i know. you don't want to be in love with a big nerd. but your heart knows what it wants. and i'm sorry that i'm not the beautiful, model girl that is your ideal but at least i have a good personality right?" you took off your glasses for the first time in front of colby, wiping your eyes.
you looked at him in the eyes, and his sparkled as his face was filled with complete awe. "i know i'm not anybody like taylor alesia or somebody but i'm me... i guess.." you trailed off, feeling insecure about yourself. colby slowly shook his head and walked over to you.
"baby you certainly are no taylor alesia or somebody. you're the most perfect girl i've ever laid eyes on. obviously i've been too much of a hardass to notice how beautiful you naturally are. your complexion is stunning, your eyes are sparkly, your body is perfectly curved and fits perfectly against mine. your hair is soft and smells amazing. your little hands mold together with mine like they were meant to be there. god just, everything about you. even that fucking smile, it's so cute it makes me want to kiss you." colby's speech made you blush and look down.
"and i don't understand what's been stopping me this whole time." he lifted your chin, and placed his lips on yours. for the first time it wasn't forced, or lustful like he only wanted one when he was horny, it was full of love and passion. you kissed back, smiling into it and wrapping your arms around his neck.
it was a gentle, but rough kiss. it was like he had desired to kiss you like this for so long, and now he finally had the chance. colby gently pushed you against the wall, gripping your waist. the kiss started to get heated, and you shook your head as you shoved him away slightly with swiftness.
his eyes instantly filled with concern as he looked down at you, his hand moving to the small of your back; pushing you into his body more. "please... i-i don't wanna..." you shook your head, and colby nodded. he understood what you meant instantly, and used the hand on your back to shove you into his body.
the other arm immediately wrapped around you, making you feel warm. his hug was protective, almost like someone was trying to steal you from him. "whatever you're comfortable with, i'll do. but whatever you aren't comfortable with, i won't even try with." he whispered in your ear.
"i love you colby." you said, which made his heart flutter. he smiled as he responded, "i love you too princess." he paused for a second, and you could tell he was looking at you. "and i really like your earlobes.." he whispered, and gently put his lips on your right one.
you smiled and pulled him closer as he gently kissed it and lightly sucked a little to give you butterflies. he succeeded and you squeezed his shoulders, making him smile at his accomplishment. he pushed you onto the bed and detached his lips, and pulled you close to him.
colby turned on the tv and you started to watch. you felt sleepy and cuddled closer into his arms while tugging the covers up to your shoulders. he smiled and kissed your head, "you're my forever babygirl." you smiled as you eventually drifted off into the best sleep you've ever had.
