"Jesus it's freezing," I said as I was blowing warm hair into my hands and rubbing it aggressively. Lisa closes the car door and looks over at me with a cute smile,
"Come here," She says. I mindlessly walk towards her and felt a blush coat my cheeks as she took my hand, intertwined our fingers and placed it inside her sweater pocket. She grins,
"That's what my pockets are for," She says with a playful wink. I chuckle and felt my heart skip a beat as she squeezes our hands in way that was so comforting.
"Goodness, can you guys get any cheesier?" Jisoo grumbles out as she walks past us to the library doors. Lisa and I stare at her in amusement as she begins unlocking the door while mumbling incoherent words under her breath.
"Why is she so grumpy?" Lisa asks. I chuckle while rolling my eyes,
"She and Rosé fought last night," I said. Lisa furrows her eyebrows behind her bangs and tilts her head slightly,
"Why?" Lisa asks. Jisoo huffs and slams the doors open,
"I don't even know! We were just hanging out and having fun at the park but then she suddenly gets all cold and irritated," Jisoo exclaims while flailing her arms around like a maniac. I chuckle and shake my head while following her inside the library.
I —sadly— removed my hand from Lisa's while smiling softly towards her since we were already inside. Lisa shyly averts her eyes away with a light blush on her cheeks while removing her coat.
"And all night I couldn't sleep because I didn't know what I did wrong!" She says while slamming her purse down onto our desk. I sigh and walk towards her,
"Do you remember when she suddenly became like that?" I asked while removing my coat as well and placing it on the back of a chair. Jisoo furrows eyebrows together while massaging her temples with her eyes closed,
"It happened right after I came back from buying her ice cream," she mutters out. I nod,
"Okay, did you talk to anyone previously?" I ask as I watched Lisa gracefully hop on the counter while tying her short hair in a cute ponytail.
"Oh yeah! I bumped into Jihyo on my way back to Rosie," She casually states. And with that, I had instantly face palmed my face. This idiot.
"Jihyo as in the girl that kept trying to pursue you back in high school?" I ask. I look up to see Jisoo looking at me in confusion,
"I guess," She says with a simple shrug. Lisa raises her hand up with an excited smile while kicking her feet back and forth,
"Oh! I know why she was mad at Jisoo!" She yells out. I giggle and motion for Lisa to continue,
"Go on, tell her," I said. Lisa puts down her hand and points at Jisoo who was drinking water.
"Rosé was jealous," She states causing Jisoo to choke on her water and cough aggressively. She wipes her mouth and pants before looking back at Lisa and I who were laughing hysterically.
"No she was not!" She says with narrowed eyes. Lisa rolls her eyes,
"Yes she was, I bet she saw you talking to this Yoyo girl—" I cut her off,
"Jihyo," I correct. Lisa nods,
"Bet she saw you talking to this Jihyo girl and immediately felt jealous by it since she's clearly in love with you," Lisa casually says while picking on her nails. Jisoo scoffs with blushing cheeks,
"No she doesn't!" She exclaims while averting her eyes away from us. She pauses then slowly looks at us with a slight glint in her eyes,
"R-right?" She timidly asks. I smile while walking towards her and placing my hands on her shoulders,
"I'm going to give you a day off today and you're going to go to her—" she cuts me off with widened eyes,
"I-I don't think that's ne—" I cut her off by placing my hand over her mouth and narrowing my eyes,
"You're going to go to her and finally tell her how you feel. You cant keep living your life with what ifs. Sometimes you just have to risk it all. And believe me Chu, she feels the same way," I said. I flicker my eyes towards Lisa for a moment to see her smiling widely at me and nodding her head. Little does she know....
I look back over to Jisoo and remove my hand from her lips. She remains silent for moment before looking at me and nodding her head with determination in her eyes,
"I'm going to do it," she says before rushing towards her bag and coat. Lisa and smile in satisfaction as we see her running towards the door. She stops and looks over to us,
"Wish me luck," She says and instantly walks out. I sigh in relief and plop myself on the rolling chair,
"You're good at that you know?" Lisa says while hopping off the desk. She faces me from behind the desk and rests her forearms there. I smile and tilt my head,
"Good at what?" I ask. She grins,
"Good at helping without a second thought. That's what I like about you," She says while staring at me with her beautiful big eyes. I felt my heart beat increase and the back of my neck heating up towards the intensity of her gaze. She smiles,
"You have a good heart Jennie, and you deserve to be reminded of that everyday," She says before grabbing the cart of books and making her way to the shelves. I watch her leave until she disappeared into the shelves letting me let out a breath and place my hand over my heaving chest.
The things she makes me feel over the most simple words. It's making me fall harder for her and I'm not complaining.
Tonight, I will tell her how I feel. I've been planning it since I finally realized my feelings for her. And, I was excited.
I never thought I would fall for a woman, let a lone a siren but I honestly don't give a damn.

"Hey Lis, i'll be back. I'm just going to throw out the trash," I said. Lisa looks over at me and sends me a thumbs up before continue to doodle, well trying to doodle, my face on a blank piece of paper. I chuckle before walking outside the library.
I smile politely towards passing by customer as I made my way around the side of the building towards the garbage bin. After throwing the trash bag into the garbage bin I turned around and made my way back to the front of the Library. But turning the corner I found myself seeing a familiar man about to enter the building.
"Kai? What're you doing here?" I ask as I walked up the steps towards him but stopped to give a respectful amount space between us. He scratches his nape awkwardly,
"Hey," He says. I nod as a response. I didn't know what to say to this man. And, honestly, I had no need to even speak to him.
"I heard your mom visited a few days ago," he says, trying to start a conversation that didn't need to be started.
"She did," I plainly respond. He nods his head before sighing,
"Listen, can we talk?" He asks as he averts his eyes to the floor. I furrow my eyebrows and cross my arms,
"I don't really think there's anything to talk about to be honest," I firmly say. Before, if Lisa wasn't in my life, I wouldn't hesitate to speak to the man I once loved. But, standing in front of me, all I kept thinking about is what I'm going to cook for dinner that Lisa would like. He sighs,
"I just want to say how sorry I am for betraying you the way that I did—"
Maybe she's craving for pasta? She liked how I cooked it last time. Maybe this time I can add bacon bits.
"And you didn't deserve that." He says causing me to blink rapidly and remove myself from my thoughts. I clear my throat while nodding my head,
"Yeah, you're right. I didn't deserve that, but it happened and you can't change the past," I stated causing him to sigh and look back down. I let out a breath before stepping forward and placing my hand on his shoulder,
"Look, you were my best friend before all this. And I loved you, but now? I don't love you like that anymore. I've moved on Kai and I'm fine," he looks down at me with regret seeping through his eyes.
"I'm so sorry Jennie," he says. I smile softly and nod my head,
"I know you are. I wish nothing but the best for you Kai but I think it's best that we no longer be in speaking terms for now," I stated causing him to frown but nod his head in understanding.
"Okay, can we hug one last time?" He asks. I stiffen and felt discomfort but nodded,
"Okay," I whisper before slowly and awkwardly wrapping my arms around his waist. I felt uncomfortable when he wrapped his arms around me as well but I knew this was our goodbye. And I was okay with it. After a few more seconds, I pull away and took a step back from him while smiling sadly towards,
"Goodbye Kai," I said. He averts his guilty eyes away from me and sends a short wave,
"Goodbye Jennie," He says before completely turning around and heading towards the parking lot. I let out a breath and smiled as a feeling of freedom settled in me. However, an unnerving feeling stirred inside me as in the corner of my eye, I had thought I saw a figure with silver hair rush inside the building.
I look over to see the door closing and shrugged my shoulder,
Must be in my head.
I walk into the building and immediately tried to look for a certain silver hair girl. And when I did, my heart picked up but the moment she looked at me, I couldn't help but frown.
She had immediately averted her eyes and rushed into the shelves with a distant look in her eyes. I was about to make my way to her but a customer had quickly stopped me.
Maybe she's just tired?
