"Come on little man, we have a vacation to go to." Jungkook put on Kookie's shoes for him while speaking in his cute papa voice.
"I know dad. Why do we have to leave so early?" Kookie whined quietly and usually Jungkook would get annoyed that he whined, but he couldn't because he was tired as well.
"Because grandpa and grandma want to see us as soon as possible." Jungkook our kookie's mask on before helping him off the counter. "Ready?"
"Yup!" Kookie put his backpack on before grabbing Jungkook's sweatpants and holding onto them as they walked.
"Okay little man, make sure I can always see you. The airport can be very dangerous and I don't want to loose you." Jungkook warned Kookie as they closed the door to their apartment.
"I know dad!" Jungkook walked slow so Kookie could keep up with him and soon they were at the airport while going through security.
"Would you two like to go through pre check? Your son is too small to go through regulated security and an adult is allowed to go with him."
"Yes please." I spoke quickly when I glanced at my phone and saw we had 15 minutes left.
We went through security with no problems and as I rushed to the airplane kookie whined behind me.
"Dad! Can you walk slower?! I'm so sleepy!" Jungkook remember that kookie was really tired and he quickly picked his son up.
"I'm so sorry baby. You can sleep on the plane." Jungkook whispered before kissing Kookie's head.
They boarded the plane quickly and once they were in the air Kookie was almost instantly asleep. Jungkook finally took a deep breath and glanced at kookie.
"I wish your mom was here." He whispered while petting his son's hair.
Kookie's mom, momo, wasn't Jungkook's lover, but his best friend. They got a little hot and bothered one night, but they knew they'd want to have a kid together so Jungkook didn't wear protection.
Momo didn't make it through her pregnancy and Jungkook was devastated. Jungkook always knew Kookie would ask about his mom one day, but he dreaded the day he'd have to tell his precious baby boy that his mom gave her life for him.
Once they landed Jungkook carried Kookie off the plane and met his parents at the gate.
"Ohhh! Our little boy has grown up so much!!!" Jungkook's parents awed as they rushed over.
"He's my baby boy." Jungkook pointes and his latent laughed.
"We meant you." Jungkook mom hugged Jungkook tightly while petting Kookie's hair. "You've gotten so tall, but you don't even look 25! You look 15 still!!"
"I'll always be 15 in your mind, mom." Jungkook smiled at his mom fondly before hugging his dad as well. "Should I wake him up?" Jungkook asked and his parents quickly shook their heads.
"No, he needs his rest." They denied and Jungkook smiled. They walked out of the airport and once they were settled in the car his parents asked where to eat.
"Is there anywhere I could meet some friends?" Jungkook asked shyly and his mom UWUed.
"Actually there is a restaurant near our house that my best friend's son works at." Jungkook dad spoke up from the drivers seat and his mom got excited.
"He's so tall and his shoulders are huge. I think you might like him." His mom winked and Jungkook blushed.
"Mom you know I'm not looking for anyone. My first priority is always Kookie. No one else." Jungkook kissed Kookie's head because the child was sitting in his lap.
"Daddy?" Kookie mumbled when the kiss woke him up. "Where are we?"
"We're in Grandma and Grandpa's car. We're gonna get some food before we go to their house." Kookie nodded before hugging Jungkook's neck.
Jungkook continued to catch up with his parents while Kookie fell asleep again. When they arrived at the restaurant Jungkook carried Kookie into the place and sat down with him in his lap.
"What would you like to drink?" The waitress asked and Jungkook ordered Sprite for himself and strawberry milk for Kookie.
After his parent ordered their drinks they asked to see a guy named Jin and Jungkook assumes it was the guy that owned the place.
"He'll be out with your drink in a minute."
After she walked away from the table Jungkook woke up kookie and had him sit facing his grandparents across the table.
"So kookie, do you have a ton of friends?" Jungkook's dad asked and kookie nodded excitedly.
"Dad's friends come over a lot and one bring his nephews over." Kookie was smiling while recalling his friends and Jungkook explained further.
After a minute a guy walked over to the table with their drinks and smiled at Jungkook's parents.
"Hello, Namjoon and Jisoo. It's nice to see you both again. Who's this?"
The guy, Jin faced Jungkook and kookie who waved.
"That's our son and grandson." Jisoo said proudly before Jin sat next to Jungkook.
"You seen too young to be a parent? How old are you?"
"I'm 25." Jungkook said politely before looking at kookie. "Introduce yourself baby." Jungkook whispered and Kookie smiled at Jin.
"My name is Kookie and I'm 5!" Kookie had his cute little bunny smile that he got from Jungkook. "Was I good dad?" He whispered to Jungkook who chuckled and nodded.
Jin stayed and talk to the Jeon family until he had to bring out their food and get back to work.
Jungkook was glad they went to the restaurant because he hadn't had good kimchi in forever. Before they left his parents had to use the bathroom and Jin approached him again.
"I never caught your name." Jin said with a sly grin on his face.
"I never threw it." Jungkook looked at Jin, obviously unimpressed. "I'm Jungkook." He told his name anyway.
"Is that where kookie comes from?" Jin pet the little boy's hair.
"Well it used to be my nickname, but it was also his mother's last word so I knew it was the perfect name for him." Jungkook was glad his baby was sleeping so he could explain without getting into deep shit.
"Oh, I'm so sorry."
"You don't have to pity me. It happen a long-"
"Oh no I wasn't pitying you. I thought you were gay. I was gonna ask you out for coffee sometime, but I understand if you aren't sexually attracted to men." Jin blushed slightly.
"I'd love to out sometime. I am gay by the way. Just one night I didn't really care about my sexual orientation." Jungkook smiled at his son before looking back at Jin.
"Can I have your number?" Jin asked and Jungkook nodded before they swapped phones. "When are you free next?"
"Well I'm only in town for a week so whenever you are this week."
"Tomorrow morning. Meet here and it's up to you if you bring this little man." Jin ruffled Kookie's hair gently and the kid smiled softly on his sleep.
"Tomorrow than." Jungkook whispered before kissing Jin's cheek and walking out of the restaurant.
The next morning Jungkook's parents had wanted to take Kookie to an aquarium so Jungkook had enough time to be on his date.
"You came!" Jin seemed surprised. "Is the little man with your parents?"
"Yeah, they want me to find someone to be with so they took him off my hands for the day." Jungkook wasn't smiling like other busy parents might've. He was terrified that Kookie would get sick or hurt.
He had never been away from Kookie for more than 5 hours.
"Are you okay?" Jin noticed Jungkook's worried face and raked his fingers through the bottom of Jungkook's hair.
"I don't really know." Jungkook whispered with the nasally tone he got before crying.
"Follow me." Jin held Jungkook's hand before leading him to his office where they sat on bean bags. "Tell me what's wrong."
Jungkook almost spoke but Jin stopped him by pulling the younger into his lap.
"I-... I just really miss his mom and I wonder what he would've been like if his mom was here." Jungkook cried into Jin's shoulder.
"You must really love her." Jin rubbed Jungkook's back and he shook his head.
"No she was my best friend. We wanted to have a symbol of our friendship that wouldn't possibly get lost or stolen. Kookie is the symbol."
Jungkook cried until Jin kissed his forehead.
"Is it selfish to say I want to be your best friend? Maybe something more." Jin tucked a piece of Jungkook's long hair behind his ear.
"Like, boyfriends?" Jungkook looked at Jin with a shocked look on his face. "No body had ever asked me to be their boyfriend this way."
"Listen Jungkook, I know we just met yesterday but as soon as I laid my eyes on you I couldn't get you out of my head. When you used the bathroom yesterday I asked Kookie what he thought about his dad getting a boyfriend and he said he wants you to have someone to take care of you."
Jungkook started getting teary eyed at the fact his son wants him to be happy. Jin hugged him tightly and rubbed his back.
"Think about it. I work here everyday and you have my number." Jin was about to get up when Jungkook grabbed his arm.
"You're not wearing your uniform today. Are you working?"
"I was gonna take you out on that date, but you probably need some thinking time."
"No I want to be with you." Jungkook pushes Jin down on his bean bag and straddled him. "How would it work though? We wouldn't see each other at all."
"Well my restaurant has a second location in Seoul. Your mom said you lived there."
"Really where?"
"6969 on 420st." Jin rubbed Jungkook's sides and the younger gasped.
"I live on 420st." Jungkook smiled widely before grabbing Jin's face and pulling him in for a big kiss. "I'll be your boyfriend."
Jin smiled even bigger before rolling so Jungkook was under him.
"Can I live with you?"
"You'd have to pay half of the rent."
"Done."
The two cuddled and kissed a lot while learning more and more about each other. By the end of the day they both knew each other like they've been together for a year.
"Want me to take you home?" Jin asked and Jungkook nodded slowly.
"You wanna stay with me and kookie tonight?" Jungkook smirked slightly while nuzzling his nose against Jin's.
"Are you sure your parents will be okay with that?" Jin rested his forehead on Jungkook's and the younger scoffed.
"They're the ones who told me to come here today. They'll be fine with it."
"Then let's go."
