Logan and I are standing at our lockers talking when the principal starts making an announcement over the PA system.
"Southside high school is shut down. Students will be transferred to other schools in the district, including this one."
I look over at Logan as the announcement stops, "I hope Quinn and the others end up here, it would be nice to have someone else to sit and talk to every once in a while."
"Gee, I love you too sis." Logan says
I roll my eyes, "You know that's not what I meant. I love hanging with you at lunch and all but if I have to listen to another one of your friends burping the ABC's I'm gonna throw myself down the stairs."
"I see your point." He says

It was the next day and Logan and I were waiting inside by the front doors for Sweet pea and Quinn to show up. I had texted them last night to ask if they were being transferred here and was delighted to know that they were.
"Here they come." Logan says excitedly, as the doors swing open and a group of southside students walk through the door.
I wave Excitedly at Sweet pea and Quinn and proceed to walk over to them, Logan trailing closely behind.
"Welcome to the ever so illustrious Northside high." I say, spreading my arms out and gesturing to the school.
Sweet pea chuckles and guides me over to the others, who were at the welcoming table listening to Veronica talk.
"We encourage each and every one of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair Riverdale." Veronica finshes.
I look towards the stairs as Cheryl voice rings throughout the hallway, "Stand down Eva Peron." Cheryl and Reggie walk down the stairs with the vixens and bulldogs In tow.
"This'll be fun." I mutter sarcastically, at the same time Jughead says, "There's the school spirit I so fondly remember."
I sigh and move closer to Sweet pea.
"Cheryl. No one invited fascist Barbie to the party." Veronica says.
Cheryl and Reggie come to a stop in front of Veronica and Archie. "Wrong, Veronica. No one invited Southside scum to our school." Cheryl looks at the South siders, "Listen up ragamuffins, I will not allow Riverdale highs above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms that are overcrowded with, under achievers. So please, do us all a favour and find some other school to deface with your hard scrap a ways."
They're not even here 5 minutes and someone's already causing trouble.
Toni walks a few steps forward, "Why don't you come over here and say that to my face."
"Happily queen of the buskers." Cheryl says, taking a few steps forward as well.
Archie intervenes, "Okay guys, everyone, can we just out our Northside-Southside differences appart and start over? A new slate."
"You don't speak for the bulldogs Andrews, need I remind you these greaser snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your ass." Reggie interrupts.
I move out of the way when Sweet pea moves to get to Reggie, "Happy to finish what we started."
Jughead and Fangs grab his shoulder to hold him back, while I grab his hand and drag him back beside me.
Veronica starts talking again, "I am so over the toxic masculinity in this hallway right now."
"Alright, everyone lets get to class. Now." The principal interrupts the arguing.
Sweet pea takes his hand out of mine and instead put his arm around my shoulders as we all walk away.

About an hour later I walk into the lounge area where everyone is introducing themselves.
Thirty seconds later Principal Weatherby walks into the room, "You guys! Yes you, come with me." He says angrily
We all get up and follow him out in to the hallway where a smug looking Reggie stands. My attention goes to the ground where a poorly painted snake has been drawn on the schools logo.
"Which of you defaced our school seal with this, graffiti?" Weatherby asks.
Reggie pipes up, "This is what they do Principal Weatherby, they tag their turf."
"You're so full of shit Mantle, I'm surprised your ass isn't any bigger." I say
I hear someone snort beside me.
"Who even are you?" He replies
Watherby interrupts, "Effective Immediately, no gang behavior of any kind will be tolerated at my school. So as of this moment, no more serpent jackets."
We all start protesting.
"No more serpent jackets! All tattoos will be covered."
I stopped listening after that. I take Sweet pea outside to talk.
I sit on the steps, "This is a bunch of bull, I mean he didn't even try and ask if it was you guys. He just took Reggie's word for it." I shake my head, "This isn't fair. There's gotta be something we can do."
"There isn't." Sweet pea drags his hands down his face, "So you look at Mantles ass often?" He says, smirking.
My face just turns a crimson red.

It's a couple of days later and I walk into the lounge room only to see Quinn, Sweet pea and the other serpents in some type of prep uniform. Not including Jughead because he got suspended for wearing his jacket and refusing to take it off. Who knows when he'll be back.
A few minutes go by and Jughead walks into the room. I guess that answers that question.
"What the hell?" Jughead asks.
We walk towards him, "Weatherby gave them to us, said he understands that not every southside student had the means to purchase Riverdale high acceptable clothes, he thinks this will help us fit in." Toni says
"Where's Fogarty?" Jughead asks.
"He wouldn't wear the uniform, so they got rid of him. Suspended him." Sweet pea says.
"So our choices are conform, or be cast out." Jughead says
"I am so sick of the people in this damn school thinking they're better then everyone else, you shouldn't have to throw away everything that makes you the person that you are. I mean the jackets were one thing but not letting you wear your own clothes? That's not right, they shouldn't force you to do something you don't want to do and then get rid of you the moment you disagree." I say angrily
I feel a hand on the small on my back and look back to see it's Sweet pea. "Come on, let's go cool you off before class starts."
We walk out of the lounge and stop in front on my locker.
I look up at Sweet pea, "I'm sorry for losing it back there."
"Don't be. You're adorable when you're trying to be mad. Like a little bunny who didn't get it's carrot." Sweet pea teases
"I'll take that as a compliment." I say, sticking my tongue out at him.
He puts his arm around me and we walk to class together.
Despite being upset earlier, the rest of the day was pretty good. All thanks to a certain tall serpent.
