"A friend is someone who can see the truth and pain in you even when you are fooling everyone else." - Anonymous.

As soon as Hikari let out that scream, Dan pushed her away and slapped her across the face, knocking her down to the ground. He still had that smug look on his face. He laughed when he saw Hikari curled up into a ball, shaking uncontrollably and she cried loud for them to hear. Jotaro immediately tried to get to her, but Dan quickly block his way. "Hahaha! Geez, why is she making such a big deal of this, huh? I don't get it. Jotaro, you really need to teach this little bunny a few adult lessons. She can't be this innocent forever. If you want we could pet the bunny together." Dan laughed.

Jotaro was now shaking with anger and rage against him. He was seeing red. It was bad enough that he had to do Dan's bidding, but.... But now.... What he did went way too far!!! How dare he violate and taunt Hikari's innocence like that?! HOW DARE HE EVEN TOUCH HER LIKE THAT?!?! This sick bastard had touched his Hikari inappropriately! Right in front of him!! His sweet, innocent angel has been violated in such a scarring way. The only mercy he'd grant this son of a bitch was a quick death. The thought of it alone was enough to make Jotaro give out a laugh. "...Hehehehe," Oh, here it comes. The perfect opportunity to get his hands on him was now!

"Jotaro! What the hell are you laughing about? What's so damn funny!?" Dan snapped. Jotaro laughed again. Ooh, it was tingling. "Nothing. I'm just a bit excited. I was laughing because you're punishment is tripled and I've been waiting a while for this moment. It's just about time for payback! And I got to say it's really got me tingly!" Jotaro said with a smirk.

"Why you!" Dan punched Jotaro hard in the stomach and drives it in hard. "It would seem that we have something of a misunderstanding. I'm sorry to say, but your old man isn't long for this world. That's the reality you're facing." Dan tells him with confidence. But Jotaro gave a chuckle and said, "How sad, you don't know us very well, do you friend? And I see you don't know Kakyoin or Nemuru at all."

"Come again?!" Dan shouted.

Back with the others, Kakyoin gave a small chuckle of amusement while Nemuru held a smirk of pride. "It seems to me you're obsessed with the notion of knowing oneself. Yes, that makes sense I suppose I'm incline to agree." Kakyoin said with a smile. "But before you continue pontificating, think on this for a moment. There's another adage, "Know thy enemy." That's nothing to scoff at."

"Take a good look, buddy! You seriously haven't noticed what Shadow Mist and Hierophant Green had been doing all this time?!" Nemuru said. The Lovers looked down and was shocked to see that both lower halves of the black and green Stand had sprawled down into a massive web-like trap. They were wrapped around the ankle of each and every one of them. "My Hierophant has the power to stretch out its feelers and Shadow can manipulate her body in darkness!" Kakyoin said. "And we've been inspecting every single one of you!" Nemuru yelled out in glee.

They quickly found the real Lovers Stand with no trouble. Hierophant's tentacle was glowing brightly as a beacon and its own shadow wrapped itself around its body preventing him from moving. "GAH! How could I have not noticed something touching me?!" Lovers shouted as the two Stands gave away his position. "So you're the Stand! Emerald Splash!" "You're dead!!" The two high schoolers shouted out and their Stands made their attacks. Hierophant shot out Emerald Splash while Shadow Mist morphed her body into a snake. The emeralds hit their mark, shooting its forehead, and the black viper bit into its neck! "Success!!" Joseph and Polnareff cheered.

Without any warning, blood suddenly spurted out of Dan's forehead and two, small puncture wounds appeared on the side of his neck. Jotaro smirked as he adjusted his hat. "Well, well, what do we have here? Looks like Kakyoin and Nemuru got you pretty damn good. So I'm wondering...will I get my payback once they're done." Jotaro said. His smirked widen as he was enjoying the fearful look that appeared on Dan's face. Now that they had found the real Stand and had wounded it, Lovers panicked at began digging his way out of Joseph's head! Now with him leaving, there was nothing stopping Joseph from destroying the flesh bud in his head. He pressed his fingers on the sides of his head and transferred his Hamon over to his brain. It didn't touch the Stands, but it made quick work of the flesh bud, reducing it to dust!

While they had succeeded in saving Joseph's life, their victory was a bit short lived as Joseph came to the realisation that because Lovers was leaving his body, that would mean that it was going straight back to his user! And that could mean that it target Jotaro next!! Dan tried to catch his breath as he started to back away from Jotaro, the look of fear in his eyes was obvious. "What's wrong? Why are you backing away from me?" Jotaro asked, feigning sympathy as he continued to smirk at him. "Aren't you going to tell me more about my grandfather's death? I really love to know."

Dan gasped and turned around, trying to run away but Jotaro was not going to let him go so easily! After all...he's a debt to pay him. Jotaro grabbed the back of his hair, pulling him back. "Hey, wait at minute. What's with the big hurry? We weren't done talking yet." Jotaro said. "No, it couldn't be... You're not actually trying to run away, are you? After all you've done? After what you did to her?!" Dan panicked in Jotaro's hand, trying to free himself from the vice-like grip. Dan kept pulling and managed to break free but lost a good chunk of hair in the process.

He ended up falling to the ground on all fours. "Please, Jotaro, sir, forgive me! I admit it, you win! I'll lie down and lick your boots!" Dan crawled over to Jotaro and gripped his leg. "I know I did a did thing and I want to change! You can pummel me as much as you'd like! Hit me! Kick me! But please, don't kill me! I'm begging you to spare my life!" Dan then started licking Jotaro's shoes, making the tall delinquent sigh. Talk about pathetic. Jotaro just gave him a hard stare. He planned to beat him into submission and break both of his arms and legs, and leave it at that.

Dan glared up at Jotaro as began thinking to himself, 'Soon! Very soon the Lovers will returned to me and this idiot, Jotaro, doesn't have a single clue! Just you wait, this time it'll enter your brain! Neither Kakyoin or Nemuru can't help you from hundreds of meters away! I'll make you suffer pain so horrible, you'll wish you were never born!' Dan suddenly looked up and was smirking at Jotaro. 'It's here! It's here, it's here, it's here, it's here!! Now, enter his ear!' The Lovers flew towards the tall delinquent and headed straight for his ear.

Then, Star Platinum was summoned and he easily caught the pesky little creature between his fingers. Jotaro glared daggers at Dan as he had Star Platinum squeeze Lovers between his fingers. Oh, but he didn't do it quickly. For what he had done, he made sure Star Platinum slowly, but surely, break his arm and leg. He made sure that Dan could feel it! Dan let out a painful scream as he felt his bones shatter beneath his skin. "I kind of figured you go and try something shitty like this. Don't you know my Stand, Star Platinum possesses excellent eyesight and precise reflexes? You're pathetic. Didn't you check up on us at all, even a little bit?" Jotaro said.

Dan started to scream out in pain as he fell back. He stared up at Jotaro with intense fear and tried to save himself from even more agony. "No, no, no, no!! Believe me, I wasn't planning anything!" Dan said as he continued to cry out in pain. "Not against your Stand's immense power-!"

The tall delinquent placed a hand close his ear and tilted his head a bit. "Did you just say 'Your Stand'? Only 'Your'?" Jotaro said. "Let me explain! Wh-what I meant to say is that your awesome and powerful Stand is far superior to any other! I knew it didn't stand a chance, so I had it come back! Just look at you've done! You've already shatter my arm and leg to pieces! I can't possibly fight anymore, I can't even move!!" Steely Dan said.

Star Platinum slowly crushed Lovers a bit more, just to make a point to Dan to never, in his life, come anywhere close to them ever again. As Dan screamed in pain, Jotaro looked down at him, saying, "In that case, I guess I'll take pity on you and accept your arm and leg as payment for all the low blows you took out against me and for the sick act you put Hikari through. But only if you swear that you'll never show your ugly mug in front of us again."

"I'll do whatever you say, I promise! I'll head for some deserted island or I'll go to the ends of the Earth and never return to bother you!" Steely Dan cried. "You better not lying. The next time I see that face, it'll get a thousand punches." Jotaro said. In all honestly, he was actually hoping that he would disobey him. He really wanted to break his body in half. But he also felt that this was more than enough. For Hikari's sake, he won't do anymore unless this bastard provokes him. "I'm not lying! I would never, ever lie to you!" Steely Dan wailed as he bowed to him. With that, Star Platinum released Lovers. "Get lost." Jotaro said.

He gave him one last glare before walking away. He needed to check on Hikari and make sure she was alright. He needed her to know how sorry he was that she had to go through that. At the time, he felt his heart ache, knowing that Hikari had desperately needed him for help and he couldn't do anything to stop it. But at the very least, Jotaro broke his limbs for her. Dan glared daggers at Jotaro's back. He couldn't believe he had to resort to that pathetic display, it was so humiliating! Then out from a nearby alley, three little kids came out running. Laughing about a game they were going to play. Dan's eyes narrowed at the little girl of the group and got a plan in mind.

"Jotaro!?" Dan called out, laughing. He pulled out a switchblade and made the tall delinquent stop. "You're an utter fool! Just take a look at that girl!" Jotaro looked at a trio of kids playing nearby and his eyes landed a little girl with braided pigtails. "It might interest you to know that my Stand, The Lovers, just went into that girl's ear. Now he's heading for her brain." Jotaro growled under his breath and went to turn around to face Dan. "You better not move, Jotaro!" Dan let out an insane laugh as he stood back on his good leg. "Here's what's about to happen. I'm gonna stab you in the back with this knife and make sure that your never able to move again! Attack me with your Star Platinum and that girl's pathetic life ends right here and now! But you would never allow such an innocent child to die, would you?! Hehehehehehe!"

Jotaro let out annoyed sigh. "Oh, good grief. Go ahead and stab me then." Jotaro said, turning his body so he was directly facing him. "Huh!? Hey, did you not hear me?! I just told you not to-!" Dan's body suddenly froze up. "I told... you not...to move..." Jotaro grabbed Dan's wrist, the one holding the knife, and asked, "What's the matter? Didn't you say something about stabbing me? Like this, right?" Jotaro forced Dan's hand back making him stab himself in the cheek. Feeling his anger rising up again for what he did to his angel, Jotaro pushed the knife just a little further into his cheek. "Ahhhhh! M-my...my body won't move! Wh-why?!" Dan yelled.

Deep within the girl's head, The Lovers was a bit...tied up with things from completely its job. "What the-?! What is this thing wrapped around me?!" Lovers yelled out as it struggled to free itself from Hierophant. "I see you didn't notice. As your Stand was trying to make its escape, Kakyoin and Nemuru tied Hierophant's tentacle to its leg. And seeing as those tentacles stretched all the way back to your Stand like a string to a kite, you must've been so self-absorb you didn't even notice." Jotaro said. Hierophant Green yanked on the rope, pulling The Lovers out of the girl's ear, freeing her from Dan's control. The kids ran off, laughing. Unaware what could've happened. Jotaro took only one step towards him, and Dan quickly jumped back in fear and let out a cry. "Please, I'm begging you! Forgive me!"

"Ask for forgiveness from Enyaba, the woman you killed. Ask for forgiveness from the girl whose innocence you've stained. But as for me, I never had the slightest intention of forgiving you." Jotaro said, stepping forward. "D-Dio paid me to cause this madness.... You...you can have it all!" Dan said.

"Good grief. I know this is blatantly obvious, but you really are a piece of work. What you owe me...can never be payed back with money!" Jotaro shouted as Star Platinum came out and proceeded to beat Dan with extreme prejudice! "ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!"

As promised, Jotaro attacked Dan with a thousand punches, breaking more of his bones and poured all of his hatred and rage against into his attack. He needed to know that he should never had even thought of touching Hikari like that while he was there. His flurry on punches got faster and faster, shattering every bone and throwing his nerve system out of whack. With one final punch, Star Platinum sent Dan flying straight through, at least, four buildings until he crashed into the side of the fourth and final building. He was crashed through the brick wall and laid unmoving in the rubble.

Jotaro pulled out his booklet and wrote in it before ripping out a page. "Your receipt. You can keep the frigging change." And with that, Jotaro turned around and immediately ran to Hikari's side. He was slightly relief to see that she was sitting up, but he knew that she was still shaken up by the whole ordeal. He kneeled down beside her and said, "Hikari, it's alright now. Just relax." He tried to wrapped his arms around her but Hikari was in so much trauma over what Dan did that her eyes widened in fear when she saw his hands, thinking that it was Dan's, and screamed.

"AAAGGGHHH!! NO, GET AWAY!! DON'T TOUCH ME!!" She screamed as she tried to run away from her "attacker". Jotaro quickly grabbed her arms and tried to calm her down. "Hikari! Hikari, look at me! Look at me, it's JoJo!" He shouted, trying to get through to her. He held onto her face to get her to look at him. However, Hikari was too far away to even listen or even recognise his voice. "LET ME GO!!" She screamed again as she continued her thrashing.

Then.... *SLAP!!*

Hikari jumped away from him and wrapped her arms around herself for protection. She slowly looked up to see who was trying to hurt her. Only to have her heart sink into her stomach to find Jotaro kneeling next to her, with a shocked expression as he held his stinging cheek. More tears fell from her eyes, more quietly this time, and Hikari felt herself shatter when she realised she had slapped the one person she had admired so much. "Hikari..." Jotaro tried to reach out for her, but Hikari shakes her head in fear and sadness, and runs off. Jotaro quickly getting up and going after her. He grit his teeth. Damn you, Dan...

"Hikari!" Jotaro called out. But the sapphire-eyed girl kept on running away from him as more and more tears fell from her face. Why did she do that?! How could she have done such a thing to JoJo?! But...! Dan had said...!! Dan said that he was planning to-!! Hikari ran as fast as she could to get away and kept on running till she saw the rest of the group running up to meet up with them. Hikari nearly stopped running as she looked at the others with fear in her eyes.

But when she saw Nemuru, Hikari sprinted towards her. The dark-purple haired girl smiled when she saw that Hikari was okay and said, "Hey there, love! I'm glad you-." Nemuru was cut off when Hikari practically dove into her arms, crying hysterically. Nemuru immediately got worried and wrapped her arms around her dear friend. "Hey, hey! What's wrong?! What happened?" Nemuru asked her. Gently rubbing her back to try and calm her down while Joseph, Kakyoin and Polnareff looked at her with concern. "Hikari, what has gotten you so upset?" Polnareff asked as he tried to wipe her tears away. He quickly jumped away as Hikari let out a scream when she saw him reach out to her. Nemuru held Hikari close as she moved her a few steps away. When Jotaro caught up to him, everyone wanted to know what in the hell happened?

"Jotaro, what the hell happened?!" "Why is Hikari crying like this?" "Did Dan had something to with is?" "Where is that f*** boy?!" Jotaro let out a heavy sigh and simply said, "I'll tell you everything. But we have to be somewhere a little bit private." Later on that night, the Joestar group found a hotel to rest up. When dividing up the rooms, they all thought it was best that Hikari share a room with Nemuru. Especially in the condition she was in. Nemuru placed a set of pyjamas on the edge of Hikari's bed and softly said, "There you go. Are you sure you don't want to eat something? It'll make you feel better."

Hikari sat on her bed, curled up into a ball with a large towel covering her. As soon they entered their room, Hikari quickly went to the shower and scrubbed every inch of her body. She washed and scrubbed everywhere...but she could still feel Dan's hands on her. As if he left his markings on her. Hikari wordlessly shook her head and tired to hide her crestfallen face in the towel. Nemuru felt her heartbreak just by looking at her. Whatever may have happened, she should've been there! She never should've left her side.

Nemuru let out a sigh and walk to the door. "Alright. I'll bring some food later on, okay. Don't open this door to anyone who isn't me." Hikari only gave another wordless nod. "I hope you eat something, Hikari. You're really making me worry." Nemuru said as she locked the door behind her. Her saying that made Hikari's head snapped up. Worry...? She was making her worry..? Oh no... If Nemuru was worried for her...then what about everyone else? JoJo... he must be so worried for her too! Seeing her cry. Seeing her scream at Polnareff and Jotaro, who were only trying to help. She even refused to go anywhere near them the whole here to the hotel. Why is she making this hard for everyone! Why is she suddenly becoming a burden on them!?

At the dinning area, Jotaro told them everything that had happened. Everything that Dan did to the gentle Stand user. Safe to say, they were all pissed off. Polnareff and Nemuru were probably a hell of a lot angrier out of all them. "That sick son of bitch! How dare he soil a pure maiden's innocence like that?! Let alone taunt her with such vulgarity!!" Polnareff growled under his breath. He wished he had the opportunity to rip that bastard a new one for touching his little sister figure! "I honestly wish you would've kept him around for me to put that bastard into a coma. But I am glad you broke his body." Nemuru said with hate laced in her words.

"That's horrible. To think that Hikari would go through something so traumatic... Without any of us there to save her..." Kakyoin said, mostly to himself. Hikari was a kind, gentle and innocent girl. One who would always give a smile and think about the positive things in life. After everything they went through up to this point, Hikari's smile and kindness never faltered. But this seemed different...he didn't think she could recover from this. Joseph grit his teeth in silent rage. He blamed himself for this. If he hadn't been so careless, then Hikari wouldn't be so broken. Joseph let out a sigh and said, "I think it would be best if we sent Chiara back home."

"What?!" Everyone but Jotaro exclaimed. "Listen! You all saw that look on her face, didn't you? She didn't deserve any of the shit Dan did to her. Chiara's a gentle soul, who shouldn't even be here in the first place. I'm afraid this experience will have her ceased to function properly...she'll become vulnerable and she'll won't recover from it so easily." Joseph tells them. "I'm saying this because I'm only thinking for Chiara's sake." He turned to Nemuru and said, "You said that she was alone with the door locked, right?"

"Uh, y-yeah." She said. "Then you should go to her and tell her I'll be buying her a plane ticket for her tomorrow morning. She'll be heading back home first thing." Joseph told her.

"But I don't want to leave." A familiar, sweet voice chimed in. Everyone nearly jumped out of their skins and turned to find Hikari standing a few steps away from them. Smiling brightly. She looked like her usual self. Hikari gave a small giggle as she said, "I don't want to leave. I made a promise to go along with you and stop Dio. I can't back out now." Polnareff got up from his seat and ran towards her. Hikari's sudden, yet small, flinch didn't miss Jotaro's eyes. He saw her take two steps back. "Hikari...are you sure you're alright? L-listen, dear, you don't have to worry about your promise. We'll understand wholeheartedly if you want to go home." Polnareff said. At first, he didn't think it was such a good idea for her to leave, but what Joseph said made a lot of sense.

Hikari gave firm nod and kept up her smile. "I'm sure. R-really, I'm doing just fine, see?" She stuttered. She let out a soft laugh as she spun around happily. "We've been through much worse things than this, I'm not gonna let this bring me down!" She said with a cheerful tone. Polnareff let out a sigh of relief and smiled. "Hikari, you're truly a strong kid." Polnareff motions to the table and Hikari went to sit between Nemuru and Jotaro. Joseph called in a waiter and had Hikari place in her order.

While everyone seemed to feel a little better now they were seeing Hikari smile again, Jotaro wasn't convinced in the slightest. He spend years being with her and knows nearly everything about her, and vice-versa. In the many years of seeing her smiling face everyday, Jotaro learned a few key points. Hikari has a gorgeous smile. One that is so innocent, sweet, and kind. But this smile was alien to him. It was forced, strained and filled with sorrow. Her laugh as forced too. Jotaro gazed down and saw that she was scooting her seat far from him. Forcing herself to be happy and distancing herself from him was NOT the type of things Hikari could do naturally.

When dinner ended, everyone turned in for the night and planned to get a good night sleep. Hikari wished everybody a good night sleep and walked into her room with Nemuru following behind. 11:00 pm. The group was already dead asleep now and off in dreamland at this time, except for one. Hikari opened her eye and looked up to see if Nemuru was in her deep sleep. Once she was confident that she was, Hikari, ever so quietly, got up from her bed and tiptoed to the door. Silently unlocking it and stepping outside. Hikari carefully closed the door behind her and quickly, but quietly, tiptoed down the hallway. A door opened up and its occupant watched silently as Hikari walked down the stairs.

Hikari walked down the stair, through the lobby and right outside the hotel. She looked around and saw a bench near the entrance. She went over to it and sat down, looking up to the countless of stars hovering above her. A cold breeze flew in and Hikari wrapped her arms around herself and tried to say warm. 'You're doing great... Everyone's happy now. You didn't cry and you helped get over worrying about you. You can do this...'

"Then once you know what it feels like, Jotaro here or any other man can do whatever they please with you after, but right now...I'm calling dibs. Got that?" Hikari let out a gasp when Dan's voice echoed through her head. 'No! Don't cry, don't cry! You have to be strong!' All at once, she felt his body heat, his hands running up and down her body, his voice taunting her of deflowering and having other men do what they want with her. Hikari held on to herself even tighter. She felt her eyes starting to sting. It was pointless, Hikari let out one small whimper and began crying again. Her cry echoed throughout the night but she prayed that no one could hear her. She couldn't let anyone see her this way.

*Play music*

"Hikari." A voice said. The owner of the name snapped her up in the direction of where it came from. Her eyes widened in shock to find Jotaro standing right next to her, looming over her. He didn't have his school jacket or his hat on. Hikari gasps and stood up. Quickly drying her tears and giving a bright smile. "O-oh! Hi JoJo. What are you doing out here so late?" She asked. "I could ask you the same thing." He said. Taking a step closer. She stepped back. "I...I, uh, had trouble sleeping. So I thought looking at the night sky could help me fall asleep." Hikari told him. Jotaro narrowed his eyes. Her smile was still forced. "Then why were you crying?" Jotaro asked. "Oh no, I wasn't crying. Uh...s-some dust flew into my eyes! That's right...and...I...I was only trying to clear my eyes."

"You're a horrible liar." Jotaro said, taking another step closer to her. Hikari took another step back. "Hikari, stop it. You can fool any other person in this world, but you sure as hell can't fool me! Especially...me!" Jotaro told her. This time, walked towards her. Hikari kept backing away from him as she said, " Please...don't come any closer." Jotaro stopped walking and just stared at her. He waited for her to let out a breath and relax herself, before reaching out and pulling her into his arms, embracing her.

Hikari panicked and began crying out. Begging him to let her go. She hit his back, thrashed around and punched his chest a few times, but no matter what she did, Jotaro kept holding her. Eventually, Hikari stopped all together. She couldn't win against him and began to cry again. Letting out all of her emotions she held inside. "I'm sorry, JoJo!! I'm sorry for hurting you like that! I'm so sorry..! For being so weak!! I'm sorry!" She cried as she clung onto him. Jotaro said nothing as he held her even closer to him.

As she cried, Hikari's mind started to replay some of her old memories growing up with Jotaro. In all those memories, she realised that he had always been with her. Not once did he ever leave her. Even when things got tough, Jotaro was always there to hold her hand and give her the strength to keep on going. Jotaro was the reason for her to smile. That's right... JoJo was her hero. Her best friend. Her inspiration to be stronger. Nothing could ever change that. As long as it's him...as long as he's with her...Hikari can handle anything.

Shortly after, Hikari fell asleep from crying so much and Jotaro picked her up in his arms as he began to carry her back inside. He saw that she was gripping his shirt tightly. Yeah, he didn't think she was going to let go anytime soon. He got back to his room and gentle placed her on his bed and pulled the covers over. She seemed to be a lot better now, he figured. Jotaro was about to go and sleep on the floor when the light from the full moon shined through his window and onto Hikari. Jotaro's eyes widened slightly. Her pale skin and golden hair appeared to be glowing under the moonlight. She looked like a genuine angel...all that was missing were the enormous wings. So...beautiful.

Jotaro pressed his hands on the mattress and hovered over her. He gently brushed the bangs from her face and found himself entranced by her. A fragile beauty. Pure as the driven snow. She's not only gentle but brave. Hikari was a lot stronger than most people give her credit for. Even herself. She looked so fragile, like a beautiful China Doll. But she wasn't fragile, not completely. She was alone in her room. She could've easily quit and left the trip as soon as she got the chance without them knowing. But she didn't. Instead, she worked up the courage and came to them. She held up a smile and tried to remain happy for their sakes. She was more concerned for them and how they were feeling than about herself. She didn't want them to worry about her. Hikari was strong. She just didn't know it.
