I was utterly mesmerised and lost for words. There he stood in front of me, pouring his heart out after we danced through the night to the song that I loved so much, in the park where we spent our first date with nothing but the moon and the stars to light up the dark. While he was pouring his heart out, all I could see in his stormy gray eyes was love. It all felt too much like a dream to me, that somehow all of this was just a fantasy created inside my head, yet I felt the warmth of his hands on my body and it felt as real as it could be. I was still trying to believe the surreal scene that happened in front of my eyes and was snapped back to reality when Draco put a hand on my cheeks and asked me the question.
"Via, my love, will you do the honour of marrying me?"
I did not even realise when he reached for the ring, but there it was, a golden ring with laurel wreath-shaped band, where the start and end of the wreath was joined by a single peridot stone, held between his thumb and index fingers. Before I could even stop them, tears start streaming down my cheeks. I clasped my hands to my mouth, not trusting my own voice, and nodded in response.
He took my hands and slowly removed it from my own tight clasp, held my left hand with his right, and slid the ring into my finger where it contrasted beautifully against my fair complexion. I was still not trusting my own voice, so I did what I could do. I thrust myself to him with a little more force than I had intended to. He stumbled at the impact of the momentum and fell on his back to the grass with me on top of him. He kissed me passionately and it felt as if fireworks were exploding in the sky. When we broke the kiss, I noticed a few rain drops were dripping down his pale skin.
"Via, love, you haven't uttered a single word."
I tried to say something but my voice screeched a little, so I cleared my throat and tried again.
"Draco, I am honestly lost for words. This is all perfect. Thank you, Draco."
"Anything for you, Via."
He kissed me again as the sky started showering. We broke into laughter and I rolled to his side, embracing the rain drops as they hit my skin. We remained in our position as we laughed ourselves off, cherishing every second of the happiest moment of our lives so far. We laid on the grass, soaking wet, for Merlin knows how long before he finally stood up and offered a hand to help me.
"Come on, love, don't want you to get sick."
I took his hand and got off of the grass. He told me to hold my breath as he tightened his grip on my hand and disapparated us from the park to the door of Lou and I's flat. I opened the door and we entered the flat to find Lou was still awake, listening to the radio whilst drinking a cup of tea. He turned his head when he heard us shuffled in and plastered his trademark grin.
"You love birds are early. Merlin, what hap-"
He was cut short as I threw myself and wrapped my arms around his body. Pressed my head to his chest whilst laughing and sobbing at the same time. He laughed at me and ruffled my hair a little as he set his cup down.
"Was it a yes then?"
He directed his question to Draco and I heard Draco laughed as he set Lou's Walkman on the table.
"Lewis Mordred Black, I could've never thank you enough."
I managed to voice my gratitude in between my laughter and sobs with my arms still tight around his body. He chuckled softly and kissed the top of my head.
"Anything to make you happy, little sist. Now pull back a little so I could dry you up."
I did as he told me and all the remaining rain water that soaked my clothes evaporated into thin air with a flick of his wand. I let him go and turned to see that Draco had already did the same. The two guys sat on the dining table as I prepared two cup of teas for Draco and I. I returned to the table with two cups in hand. I gave one to Draco and planted a chaste kiss on his lips before I took my seat.
"Alright, first thing first. Now that you're about to marry Cassie, I could only remind you once more. Hurt her, and I swear to Merlin you'd wish you never left your mother's womb, savvy?"
"Wouldn't dream about it, mate."
"Excellent! Now, I know you're a sap, mate, so why don't you spill the tea since I know Cassie would only butcher the whole thing up."
"Hey!"
I smacked his hand playfully and we all burst into laughter. Draco then told Lou how everything went out as they had planned, except for the sudden pour. He then elaborated to me that he was already planning the whole thing for about a month now, but did not exactly planned to asked me so soon. As he had said to me before, he thought the sooner the better and so the two quickly arranged things back at the bar. Lou also added that he was so willing to lend his Walkman that he carried everywhere with him because he knew that Draco would not dare to break nor lose it if he wished for his blessing. We talked through the hours, not realising that dawn was breaking if it was not for the sun that crept upwards and the sky slowly turned from dark blue into a deep orange colour.
"Alright children, it's gonna be a long day, so why don't we take a nap? You can take my room, mate, I'll take the couch. I don't see the point of you going back and forth in such little time."
"What are you talking about, Lou?"
"Oh right. I told everyone to come for breakfast as you have an announcement to make."
"What? When did you tell them? And please justify everyone."
"Last night at the bar, after he told me he'd propose to you. And by everyone I mean Remus and his pack plus Andromeda, Narcissa, Harry whom also said he'd bring his wife and kid, Edmund, and Bill."
"How did you even know that I'll accept the proposal?"
"Cas, you've been my sister for a decade now. I know you better than you do."
He winked at me and I just shook my head in disbelief with a smile on my face. Hoe on Earth did I get these two unbelievable men in my life, I would never knew. I the got up and kissed both of the men's cheeks before I retreated to my room. I dropped myself onto my bed with a wide smile on my face. I held my left hand close to my face, eyeing the ring on my finger in disbelief whilst thanking all the stars in heaven.
