"Oh Eryc please, kiss me" I mumbled reaching out.
Face down, ass up.
I fell from the perfect dream I was having of Eryc Deven. The daring bad boy in school.
The alarm clock rung at 7:00am sharp. It had been ringing for the past 30 minutes.
"Shit...I'm late...I'm officially late" I said getting up from the cold floor I'd fallen into.
I've never been the average girl. Everyday is something new for me. Two or three slaps and punches a day...if I'm lucky enough. The woman who gave me birth. A crazy bitch I would say, left me with the other piece of shit downstairs, who's probably making breakfast for himself. One chilly night, I begged my mother to never leave me. I was a kid who needed love but she chose drugs instead. I didn't hear of her ever again.
"Catherin get your ass down stairs now!" my father yelled.
I was cinderella. Better yet cinder-beat-ella. I was responsible for everything in this house. I always got a beating if I missed a spot while cleaning the kitchen floor. The day I could escape my fathers grasp seems so far away from me. I engage myself in conversations that are over the top. My father once caught me talking into the mirror. Doctors claim it to be double personality. It's been happening ever since I was 7. They say it's trauma that developed from over the years.
"Yes dad?" I try to say innocently.
"Why the hell is there mustard on the floor?" he said with gritted teeth.
"I..I don't know, I-"
Before I could finish he grabbed me by my dark brown long hair and pushed me out the door. I winced at the pain but held my tears back. This happened almost everyday. He would spill something, call me down stairs, yell at me, and then chase me out of the house. Gladly I grabbed my school bag before heading downstairs. I never really understood why my father beat me. I guess he just hated the fact that he had to take care of me or maybe he never really liked me at all.
I'm a quiet person, unless my other half decides to speak. The only way anyone could ever find out is when my eyes shift colors and my attitude changes. I have green eyes but every time she decides to switch with me, my eyes turn into the weirdest color ever. Lavender. I always have to lie and tell people that they're contacts. Not that anyone even notices me anyways. I'm the perfect geek of the school. I'm always into my books. I get called names all the time. When I'm at the bus stop, all the seniors tease me and say I'm a pussy for not letting them "slide".
"Yo kitty cat" said Dylan.
Dylan is one of the jocks from school. Along with all his other little dumb fuck friends: Riyan, Ethan, Caleb, Blake...the list goes on. They're all obnoxious basketball players who believe they'll make it to the NBA.
"Heh" I chuckle at the thought.
"You've got something to say kitty cat?" Ethan said.
"My name is Catherin not kitty cat" I shot at them.
"Ohhhh" they all said in harmony.
This was every morning. It was a routine. A hobby. I couldn't wait to finish high school so I can get it all over with.
The bus arrived and all the seats were taken. Awesome. If it wasn't the jocks hogging up every seat in the bus, it was the popular girls putting they're feet up or they're designer purses in the way. I mean if they were so perfect why would they go on bus? Maybe they were dumb enough to not even know how to put the car in drive. I live in a society where if you don't fit in with "the look" you were invisible to anything and everyone. You could be dying on the floor and people would walk right over you, enjoying your pain. That's the life I lived as Catherin Sill.

I walk to my next class and all I hear in the hallways is either gossip about who had sex with who, what's going to happen this weekend, and saliva from couples practically eating each other out. Third period was such a hassle. Too much work, so little time.
"Next..." Mrs. Hunter said.
The room was in complete silence, but I was deep into my book. I didn't realize all eyes were on me.
"Catherin!" she shouted.
I jumped from my seat, stunned at the way she said my name. Everyone was bawling with laughter.
"Read" she said looking back at the book.
I sat there feeling like the biggest dumb ass alive right now.
"What page are we on?" I said trying to speak really low.
Once again the whole class was laughing at me.
"Alright c'mon let's get a move on, nobody has time for this, she's annoying." Andrea said.
Andrea was Dylans girlfriend. Blonde whore. Always walking around like she owns the place. I hated her with all my guts. I just wanted to punch her every time she opened that mouth of hers.
"Just let the girl read, damn!" said a girl from the back.
Sandra Suarez. She was very pretty, brown eyes, and her hair was brown reaching her shoulders. I didn't know who she was, but I always saw her talking to everyone and laughing loudly in the hallways. She was an outgoing person and right now I was feeling grateful towards her for defending me.

Walking out of my third period, I felt like the day would never end. I didn't want to go home, but I didn't want to be here either. In a matter of seconds I heard "Watch out, watch out!" You could say that in those seconds, I ate the floor.
"Eryc who did you knock out?" a tall guy said.
I couldn't tell who it was. I was too concentrated in the pain I was developing from what might become a bruise on top of another bruise later tonight. Two men. Two bruises. How much more pain can a girl take?
"Aye man you bumped into her pretty hard." another one said.
I opened my eyes to witness the prettiest pools of blues I had ever laid eyes on.
It was Eryc Deven.
Author's Note: Hi guys! I hope you liked the first chapter. It's rather very short. I wrote this story a year ago on Mibba.com and thought it was interesting enough to put it here on Wattpad.
