jeno crouched down, placing a bouquet of flowers down on the ground, just beside a gravestone that has his bestfriend's name on it.
the boy smiled, ❝hey mark..❞
oh how much he wants to tell mark everything. everything that has happened. from graduating together with jaemin and renjun, enjoying summer with everyone by going to chenle's famous beach house and celebrating there after knowing the gender of the baby, to now starting his first day of work. before getting accepted, he actually had months of special classes to learn what the company about. luckily for him mark is his bestfriend, he may have learned a lot from mark. during those months, he witnessed how donghyuck's stomach grew bigger. from a small baby bump to a size that's bigger than a ball.
he didn't want to say it but he did fall even deeper than deep for donghyuck. the teasings from his friends are not helping, being with donghyuck 24/7 is also not helping. but he promised himself to just be a friend. a friend who'll be there for him at all times.
❝do i have to tell you everything?❞ jeno giggled, ❝i only have ten minutes and i don't want to be late. maybe next time?❞
he then sat down and wasted his five minutes on just staring at mark's name printed on the gravestone not even noticing the tear drops coming down from his eyes.
❝it could've been us wearing this suit and tie.❞ he bit his lower lip, ❝and going inside that big building looking like agents from the tv shows we watch.❞
it would have been a nice sight to see.
jeno looked up, blinking ❝are these tears?❞ he laughed while wiping the liquid coming down from his eyes called tears and then stood up. ❝i'll get going then.❞
he showed smile before going to his car that mark's father gave him. he was about to visit his father but his mother told him that they'll go together later after he is dismissed from his work. the company isn't located that far and just arrived after five minutes of driving.
after parking his car at the parking lot, his phone rang ad soon as he got out of the car. he quickly answered it after seeing donghyuck's picture and name on the screen.

"how's the job!? it must be so cool driving your own car there and going inside the company being the most youngest person who works there!"
jeno sighed, disappointed that it wasn't donghyuck on the phone ❝jaemin don't you have classes? where is donghyuck?❞
he heard a coo from the other side of the line, "acting like a husband i see." jaemin giggled, "there's no harm in skipping classes for the whole morning and donghyuck is cooking."
❝you just visited him to eat, am i right?❞
"that's not true— that's true." jeno smiled upon hearing the beautiful voice of the person that means so much to him.
❝hey there.❞
he couldn't see it but he could imagine donghyuck pushing jaemin aside and taking his phone away from jaemin, "hey there person who has a job and a car."
❝don't you think that's too long for a nickname?❞ jeno tapped his chin, ❝how about nono?❞
jeno smiled at the people he passed by to before going back to his phone call with donghyuck, "honey?"
that word made his heart beat fast, especially because he is the one who said it. ❝what?❞
donghyuck's giggle was heard, "jaemin suggested honey but i think nono is cuter. from now on you are nono!"
and he thinks donghyuck called him honey. of course he won't. he even knows that if mark would still be alive now, he would hear them call each other love and he's jealous of that.
"jaemin is not going to school and just want to eat everything i cook for him." judging by the tone of donghyuck's voice, he could guess that he's pouting.
❝don't cook him food then.❞ jeno said, standing in front of the elevator.
"but he would starve and.." there was a short pause before donghyuck spoke, "and.."
jeno got worried after hearing some groans on the other side, ❝hyuck? are you okay?❞
"im.." he heard him groaning again. "fine.."
and then a pause. three seconds turned to five and then ten. the silence was making jeno even more worried and decided to ask again, ❝is everything—❞
"hyuck?" now he could hear jaemin's voice "oh my god donghyuck!"
he took a step back away from the elevator when it opened. he didn't go inside and just stood there, watching everyone coming out from it and some coming inside. ❝jaemin what's wrong? what happened to donghyuck?❞
"jeno?" jeno couldn't clearly hear what jaemin is saying, "what should i do?"
he sound so scared, which also made jeno think a lot of things. what happened to donghyuck? did he slip or something? did something happen to the baby? did he faint? ❝what happened?❞
"his water broke.." jaemin whispered
jeno's jaw dropped ❝call the ambulance..❞ that came out as a silent whisper. he was surprised that he still managed to say something even though he was surprised.
cries was then heard along with groans, "jeno he looks hurt what should i do? i don't have a—"
jeno ran a hand through his hair, ❝call an ambulance!❞ and he was finally snapped out from his thoughts.
the call ended quickly and turned around only to bump someone. he looked up and saw mark's father together with his wife. because of that, he was reminded that it was his first day of work and should not miss it but fuck it, he said. donghyuck's much more important than his work.
donghyuck's having a baby and he shouldn't miss out on it.
❝jeno are you okay?❞ mark's mother worriedly asked
he had no reason to lie so he shook his head, ❝i need to go, i'm sorry.❞
the man frowned, ❝but it's your first day today.❞
he sighed, ❝and donghyuck's having a baby.❞
the mother gasped at what he said, ❝it'll take you guys an hour for him to arrive at the hospital.❞
❝i got this.❞ mark's father took out his phone and called someone.
he watched the man finishing his conversation on the phone and grabbed his wife's hand. he followed them to the parking lot and got inside his car as they also inside inside theirs. mark's father shouted the name of the hospital they'll be at before leaving.
jeno couldn't help but smile, ❝it's happening.❞ he started the engine and followed their car from behind. ❝mark it's happening.❞
he couldn't contain his happiness and screamed inside the car, almost crashing into another as he raised his fist up high. he just laughed it off and continued on celebrating. he was happy for mark, he was happy for donghyuck, and he was proud of himself for taking care of donghyuck for mark.
❝the baby boy is coming!❞

jeno was the last person to enter the room. jaemin was there, and mark's parents was standing at the side. he went inside the room and saw donghyuck looking so worn out but still having a smile on his face.
that smile got even wider after seeing jeno. ❝hyung!❞
jeno ran towards donghyuck and gave him a tight hug. it must've been hard for him, it must've hurt a lot, and jeno was thankful that he managed to go through it. ❝im so proud of you for being so strong.❞
donghyuck giggled, ❝of course! i'm lee donghyuck.❞
everyone inside the room laughed at what the boy said. they watched jeno pull away from the hug and just look at donghyuck in the eye. they just realize how cute they look together. anyone could mistake them as a couple, a married couple if they would see them together with the baby.
speaking of the baby, the door opened showing a nurse that was holding the baby that looked very fragile. they all stepped back but not jeno. donghyuck held jeno's hand, preventing him to move away. donghyuck smiled at him before carrying the baby.
at that moment, he felt like crying. the baby looked so beautiful and donghyuck tried to stop his tears from coming out of his eyes, well at least hr tried. ❝baby, it's your papa.❞ donghyuck stared at the baby will admiration.
jeno smiled and crouched down, ❝and it's your uncle nono.❞
the nurse widened her eyes upon hearing jeno addressing himself as an uncle. she actually thought he was the father of the child.
donghyuck giggled at the nickname and nudged jeno, ❝i think jeno is fine.❞
jeno pouted, ❝but you said nono is cute.❞
❝i change my mind.❞
the male placed a hand on his chest looking so betrayed, ❝no. i think nono is cute and i will let him call me uncle nono.❞
jeno looked like a mad baby and donghyuck was enjoying the sight. ❝baby do you want to call him uncle nono?❞
jeno was about to say something but was cut off by the nurse beside jaemin who suddenly spoke. ❝sorry to disturb your cute moment but may i ask the name of the baby boy?❞
jaemin was there, mind very active and fast in making names. he then raised his hand as if he was in class, ❝donghan?❞
the man that was on the otherside of the room shook his head, ❝i think marco fits the baby well.❞
the mother laughed at the two, ❝that's all you guys can make?❞ she cracked her knuckles and then bent her neck side to side before giving them a proud smile, ❝leonardo.❞
her husband snorted, ❝w-what?❞
jaemin turned around, holding back his laugh as it was rude to laugh at an elder.
❝i know, let's name him jeffrey.❞
the woman just hit her husband's arm, ❝where did you get that?❞
❝from taeyong's boyfriend..❞ he smiled sheepishly.
he hissed at the pain and just gave his wife pout while rubbing the spot where she hit. donghyuck and jeno was laughing at the sight of everyone looking for a name meanwhile they already have thought of one.
the nurse just forced smile, honestly not liking the names which they have picked. ❝how about we hear it from the fathers?❞
jeno widened his eyes, ❝huh?❞ he stood up properly and waved his hands as if he was saying no, ❝i'm not the father, i'm just...❞
he was stopped by donghyuck holding his wrist while carrying the sleeping baby with his other arm. donghyuck gave jeno a smile, ❝let's say his name together.❞
can donghyuck not make him feel butterflies inside his stomach for once? jeno sighed and just nodded his head.
they gave each one of them a look before finally looking at the nurse and saying the infant's name together, ❝haechan.❞
after that, the nurse excused herself as she is going to fill the baby's information sheet and may come back later for more questions. mark's parents just stayed there, looking at the baby that was peacefully sleeping on donghyuck's arms. later on, renjun arrived which made jaemim jump from his seat and hug renjun tight. donghyuck and jeno was doing the same as what mark's parents did, staring at the baby with full adoration.
jeno was sitting on the hospital bed, facing donghyuck who's carrying the baby. ❝haechan.. hey there little haechan.❞
donghyuck looked up and saw jeno speaking to the baby with his baby voice. he didn't even notice his hand going up and caressing jeno's cheeks. even though he now noticed it, he had no plans of putting it down and just continued on caressing the older's cheeks.
❝donghyuck?❞ jeno placed his hand on top of donghyuck's ❝is there anything wrong?❞
❝i'm just happy.❞ he said, ❝very happy.❞
jeno's lips curved into a smile, ❝me too.❞ and then his attention quickly went to the baby, ❝uncle nono will teach you many things as you grow older.❞
donghyuck's eyes seemed to be glued at jeno, ❝you're going to be the best uncle.❞
jeno looked up, ❝the best of the best.❞
but right now, he looked more of a father than an uncle.
