"How did you get here?" I asked, wiping my eyes clean of tears and moving to sit on my bed. He chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his head.
"I never really left..." my head shot up and I'm sure the others head did too.
"What do you mean you never never left?" Keith asked.
"I was always hiding and taking refuge in abandoned hangars, but unfortunately, they found me. Although it did lead me to you guys." He said excitedly and his eyes were staring deep into mine and he had a cute smirk on his face.
Aha, hold on, I didn't mean cute. I meant the type of smile would be cute and I - never mind.
I took a mental deep breath and asked, "why are you so excited - I mean yeah, you found us. But what now? This place has been nothing but torture, at least for me." I mumbled the last part, Shiro looked at me, his face full of concern and confusion.
"What did you say?" He asked politely. I shook my head, telling him to drop it, which he respected.
"Pidge is right. We've been here for what feels months and now that you're here - inside a cell - means that you can't break us out. We're trapped." Hunk then began to go on about his family. "I'm never gonna see them again am I?!"
I could hear Lance and Hunk starting to worry. I didn't say much though, I understood them completely. After all, I don't have my family with me and haven't seen them in at least three years.
God I miss them.
We all stayed in complete silence for a while just taking in Shiro's presence and I guess it was visa-versa. But what I didn't expect, was for Shiro to walk over to me and wrap his arms around my tiny body.
I winced as his robotic arm touched my scars and wounds, but of course, he didn't notice. His arms grew tighter around my body as he pulled me closer, almost as if he'd never let me go. And I wish he wouldn't.
"Shiro, are you ok?" I asked, pushing the pain away as best I can.
"Yeah I just-" the cell door began to open
"Green one. Follow me." The silhouette spoke. Their voice brought chills to my body.
I started walking towards them, already knowing what lay ahead, and gave Shiro one last look before I left. He looked really worried, like he was about to attack but he held back.
I gave him a reassuring half-smile then turned out the door, following the Druid through the long winding halls.
Shiro POV
I was about to tell her how worried I was, I was going to let it all out. But we were interrupted, by a Druid opening the cell door and calling for Pidge.
She stood up and slowly made her way towards it. I wanted to fight it, to kill it, but for some reason I couldn't. Probably because I shouldn't.
I watched her walk out and as she got out the door I noticed the scars and wounds all over her. She'd been through this more than once, and I couldn't help but feel guilty.
She must have seen my worried look, she gave me a reassuring smile to which I returned. I didn't want the last thing she saw to be negative. She had to be ok.
I sat there for what seemed like a few hours in silence, worried about Pidge. The others still hadn't seemed to have noticed her disappearance.
I began to hear my cell door creak open to reveal the mask of yet another Druid, though it could still be the same one.
"This way."
"And why I should I follow you?" I argued, only to have two large Galra guards grab my arms and rag me down the long corridors.
"Get off of me!" I protested as they pulled me to a door. I watched as the Druid swiped its hand in the machine and the doors open.
I looked around the room and saw someone bloody, bruised and almost broken hung the wall. I could t even see if I recognized them, their head was so low down that their hair was in front of their face, preventing me from even seeing what species this person-thing- could be.
They dragged me along to the opposite wall and chained my wrists together. I didn't protest, I was too busy staring at the other figure in front of me. I wanted to know who they were, I needed to know who they were.
I just hoped that it wasn't Pidge, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if anything like that happened to her. I couldn't have stopped if. I could've fought them.
No I need to calm down. Get my act together, when I'm ready I make a break for it. I have to get out and find Pidge.
