Violet arrived home and immediately went to her room. She demanded that Friday not let anyone inside and to keep her father from calling.

Getting out another canvas, she stared at it for a second. All the words she yelled at Peter, and everything he didn't say.

Everything she heard.

Kiss her.

Violet clenched her fist and punched the canvas. The easel toppled over and Violet threw the paint at the wall. The paint splattered in six different colors across the wall, mixing together to make some kind of odd mess.

Taking a deep breath, she walked over to the kitchen and pulled out some milk from the fridge. As she went to grab a glass, she heard knocking from the door.

Using her magic, she was able to create a tablet that looked directly outside.

Peter Parker. As soon as he got home from the bus, he begged May to let him go to Violet's apartment. May was hesitant, but once she saw the heartbroken look in his eyes, she realized he needed to see her.

"Violet, please let me in... I need to talk to you." Peter said softly as he looked at the door.

She almost stomped away, but he called out, "I can hear you. I know you're there and that you're listening."

Rolling her eyes, she stopped and turned to look at the door. She debated on what to do, and waited for him to talk.

Peter leaned his head on the door. "Look, Violet." He caught himself almost calling her that nickname. "I know I screwed up. I know that I wasn't the person you thought I was... I just wanted to prove myself ya know. Prove that I could be as amazing as Veritas or Tony Stark.

"The city knows me now, but it feels like... it feels like you left. Well, you did leave, but like... it's like your gonna leave. It's almost as if you've already moved away yet you're here... look what I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry for disappointing you. But I'm not sorry for how it turned out."

Violet found herself at the door, and rested her head on it. She bit her lip as he spoke, and with every word, she drew tempted to open the door. She wanted to let him in.

But she didn't.

"Please just... just open the door." Peter begged. He heard her right on the other side of the door and closed his eyes.

Violet sighed and pulled her hand away from the knob.

Stepping away, she crossed her arms and cried silently before heading to her room. Peter knew that she had left. But he sat with his back facing the apartment for another five minutes before going back to his room.

Peter Parker did not want to lose Violet. Not until he had to let her go officially. Yeah, he made a connected with Liz. But he made that connection as Spider-Man, not himself.

Peter realized then that he would always have feelings for Violet no matter how hard he tried to hide them with his crush on Liz. And Violet realized something as she sat in her room while staring at her journal that contained a drawing of Peter. She realized that she too had fallen for the Spider-boy.

And she had no idea how to handle it.

For years, Violet was shut off from the world. The only link she had was with Coulson. He helped the six of them see outside and have a feeling of what normal was. He convinced Fury to let them try online school where they got multiple degrees throughout the years.

He was the first person to get her a journal.

But none of them experienced what falling for someone was like. All they knew was friendship and family.

And Violet was terrified that losing Peter Parker was going to be a whole new feeling of hurt and despair.

Meanwhile, the Vulture ranted to his men down in his lab. Spider-Man and Veritas are officially on their tails all because of one screw up. Those two were going to mess everything up.

"I can finish the next order," The man who invented everything claimed. "But without any new materials from that truck..."

The Vulture groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Yeah damn it. We still have enough to do the Gargan deal though, right?"

"Yeah, but then that's it." The inventor's eyes lit up as he brought up an idea he had been working on. "Maybe it's time that I built the high-altitude seal."

"Would you shut up about that?" The Vulture said.

"It's only one job!" The inventor said.

"I told you, no!"

It was silent for a second as everyone turned to look at their boss. "Eight years... not a word from the feds, nothing from those Halloween costume wearing bozos up there in Stark Tower. And then all the sudden, this little bastard in red tights shows up with a rogue Infinite and thinks he can tear down everything I've built. Really? I'm gonna kill him. I can't kill the girl, so we'd have to get him by himself. So I'm gonna find him-"

"Found him." The man who wore the glove said while pointing at the news report that covered the decathlon being saved by Spider-Man and Veritas.

The news reporter announced, "Veritas kept everyone from harm's way as the Spider-Man swooped in, heroically saving an Academic Decathlon team from Queens. The identity of both masked heroes are still unknown."

At school the next day, everyone was buzzing about how Veritas and Spider-Man saved the team from death. Posters for both heroes littered the halls, and Flash was bragging about how he was in a selfie with Veritas. Even though he wasn't the only one in the picture.

As Peter walked through the halls, he smiled as the morning announcements did a piece on him and Violet. Well, Spider-Man and Veritas.

"This past weekend, Midtown's Academic Decathlon team defeated the country's best to win the national championship. Later that day, they also defeated death."

Abraham came on to describe what happened. "Explosion! Sally screaming, Flash screaming, everybody screaming!"

"There were purple lasers and smoke. It was --- crazy like a Bon Jovi concert," Another kid said. Yeah, he was definitely a New Yorker.

The teacher came up on the screen and said, "As you know, we made it out alive, and that's the important thing... I couldn't bear to lose a student on a school trip... not again."

"Thankfully no one was seriously injured thanks to the teamwork of Spider-Man and Veritas." The news anchor said.

Then both the anchors proceeded to thank the supers. Peter watched the television with happiness. He loved the feeling of helping people and saving others. It took his mind off what had happened with Violet.

Who didn't show up at school that day.

Peter shook her from his thoughts as Ned caught up to him. "Dude, dude, dude! What is it like being famous when nobody knows it's you?"

"Crazy dude." Peter said with a huge smile. "It's crazy."

"Should we tell everyone?" Ned asked.

Peter quickly shook his head. "No."

"Should I tell everyone?"

"No." Peter shook his head again.

"Should we get Violet to tell everyone?"

Peter scoffed and shook head. "No, dude. She isn't even talking to me right now."

"What why?"

Peter stammered, "Oh, uh, long story? Anyway, it's not a good idea."

"Okay," Ned relented and turned to walk down the hall. "Come on, we'll be late to class."

Peter called out to his friend. "I'm not going to class."

Ned groaned and turned to look at his friend who seemed to slowly be losing himself. "You're already in so much trouble for ditching the decathlon."

Peter shook his head. "Dude, listen. I figured it out. The wingsuit guy is stealing from Damage Control. What he takes from Damage Control... that's how he builds the weapons! So all I gotta do to get on Veritas' good side again and get Stark to trust me is to catch him!"

"Okay, first, what happened with Veritas?" Ned asked confused on why his friend was no longer talking to two of the closest girls in his life.

Peter shook his head. "Long story again."

"And second, we have a Spanish quiz!" Ned exclaimed trying to get his friend to see reason. Yeah, Tony Stark was Iron Man, but he was an inventor. He was a genius who went to school.

Peter didn't care about school. It was at the bottom of his priorities. "Ned, I'm probably never gonna come back here. Mr. Stark is moving the Avengers upstate, and Veritas goes with him... so when I bring this guy in..."

"Dude, you want to be a high school dropout?!" Ned asked in shock. Peter was the smartest guy in school. It would be a shock for everyone if he suddenly decided to stop. Plus, Ned knew May would never let the boy do it anyway.

Peter had a plan in mind. He was going to get his friend back. He didn't want to lose her, and wasn't ready to. "I am so far beyond high school right now."

The boy started to back up and head towards the exit, but the principal stopped him in his tracks. He had a glare on his face. Spider-Man may have saved the school, but nobody knew that Peter was him. All they knew was that Peter Parker snuck out to who knows where in the middle of the night.

"Parker, my office." He said as he lead the boy off to give him the punishment he deserved.

Meanwhile, back at Violet's apartment, her father finally got a hold of her. At the moment, she was being chewed out for violating the accords.

"I can not believe how irresponsible-"

"Tony-"

"Immature-"

"Tony-"

"And idiotic you were being!"

"Tony!" Violet yelled trying to get his holographic form to look at her. "Look, I know I messed up. But I couldn't just let those kids die."

"What I want to know is how the explosion happened anyway." Tony said while looking down at the girl.

Violet bit her lip and shrugged. "We don't know. We saw the explosion on the ground when we decided not to go up to the top. Then we quickly suited up in private before going to help."

"Yes, but Violet, you did it on national television. I had a two hour argument with Ross on what to do!" Tony exclaimed while pinching the bridge of his nose.

Violet muttered as she turned away. "I don't see you yelling at Peter."

"Parker didn't sign the accords!" Tony exclaimed. Violet took a step back in shock. Tony took in a deep breath before he said, "Look, Ross let you go with a warning because nobody died and because you're just a kid. But now, you have to come back with me Violet. At the end of the school year and there is no excuses."

"So I can't be Veritas anymore?!" Violet exclaimed and her eyes flashed.

"That's not.... That's not what I'm saying." Stark started to yell, but he calmed himself down. Him and Violet were both one thing when they first met: stubborn. Over the years, the two learned to compromise and let each other in. "You can go on patrol with the kid. But you can't be involved in anything major like that. I don't want either of you to be, but especially you. I can't... I can't lose you too."

Violet softened at his words and relaxed. Pepper had left Tony during the events of Civil War, and it broke his heart. So when all his friends except Rhodey turned on him, it took a toll. But Pepper saw what he did and forgave him.

He didn't want to lose his daughter either.

Violet sighed and looked around the room at the bare walls. This was only meant to be temporary, but a part of her longed to make everything better. "Well, if that's all you wanted to talk to me about, I understand. I better get cleaning."

"Actually..." Tony said, "Why don't you wait. I can come help you."

"Wait really? You're coming here?" Violet asked with a hint of a smile.

Tony nodded and smiled. "I'll see you in a bit."

The image faded out, and Violet smiled. She hadn't seen her adoptive father in person for a long time. He had always been so busy with work now that the Avengers were gone and everything. Violet missed them like crazy, not just the Infinites. She missed Clint especially. When she saw him shooting arrows for the first time, she practically begged the man to teach her.

It's why her weapon was a bow and arrow.

While she went to straighten up for her dad, Peter had gotten home from detention. Well, he skipped it actually.

After making sure that May wasn't home, Peter went to his bedroom and put on his Spider-Man mask.

"Hey Karen, what's up."

"Hey Peter," She said chipperly. "How was your Spanish quiz?"

He quickly dodged the question by going straight to the point. "I was wondering if you could help me. I'm trying to figure out who the guys under the bridge were that night, but I can only remember part of a license plate."

Karen said, "I can run facial recognition on the footage of that encounter."

"Footage?" Peter asked as he froze in his seat.

"Yes, Peter. I record everything you see."

"Everything?"

"Everything," Karen said and showed him the files. "It's called the Baby-Monitor Protocol."

Peter dropped the pen and sighed. "Yeah, of course it is. Um, yeah, just roll it back to last Friday."

"With pleasure."

The first video that Karen pulled up was from him testing out what he was going to say at the party in front of the mirror. He was extremely nervous that night and wanted to make sure he left an impression. "Hey everyone. Yeah, kick-ass party. Hey, what's up Liz? Peter's told me a lot about you."

"No, no, no!" Peter stopped the video and said, "This is just me messing around. Go later in the day, later in the day."

The next clip was of what he imagined would happen if Violet was ordinary and Peter saved her life. "No thanks is necessary, Violet. I'm always here to save the day, and I'll always be there to protect you. Well if you insist on thanking me, I wouldn't mind-"

Peter turned bright red, as he quickly said, "Nope! Later, little bit further."

The next one was just a prank he assumed. "It is I, Thor, son of Odin-"

"No, no, no, that's definitely-that's definitely not what we wanted to watch."

Karen laughed. "Your impressions are very funny."

Peter rolled his eyes and said, "Fast forward to the arms deal."

The video popped up and it sparked Peter's interest. "Okay. The two on the right. Who are they?"

Karen stopped the video and analyzed the faces as Peter got up and paced back and forth. "Searching law enforcement databases... no records found for the two of the individuals."

Peter froze in shock. "Nothing?"

The computer decided to run the buyer through the databases as well. "One individual identified. Aaron Davis, age 33. He has a criminal record, and an address here in Queens."

"Let's pay him a visit." Peter said as he took off the hood and started to suit up.

"Would you like me to activate the Enhanced Interrogation Protocol?"

Peter thought about it for a second before shrugging. "Um... yeah."

Peter was able to track him to a parking garage where he was heading to get something. Spiderman caught him as he was opening up the truck. He shot a web to catch his hand which made him stick to the trunk.

"Remember me?" Peter asked with the voice changer making it sound deeper.

"Hey-"

"I need information, and you're gonna give it to me now." Peter stalked over to meet the man.

"All right chill." The man held up his free hand.

"Come on!" Peter yelled.

Aaron Davis scrunched his nose up in confusion. "What happened to your voice?"

"What do you mean?" Peter asked trying to hide it.

"I heard you by the bridge, I know what a girl sounds like."

"I'm not a girl!" Peter argued. "I'm a boy, I mean I'm a man!"

"I don't care what you are, a boy, a girl-"

"I'm not a girl!" Peter exclaimed. "I'm a man. Come on, man. Look who is selling these weapons? I need to know! Give me names or else!"

Aaron wasn't intimidated by Peter Parker. He was pretty sure the guy was just a kid. So to spook him a little, he slammed the trunk and glared at the mask. Like he assumed, Spider-Man jumped backwards in fear.

He smirked. "You ain't ever done this before, huh?"

Reluctantly, Peter muttered to Karen. "Deactivate interrogation mode."

Aaron chuckled and asked, "Where's your girl? She would be more qualified to do this shit."

"Just because we fight together sometimes doesn't mean we're a team."

Aaron's eyes widened and he chuckled. "Damn that's cold."

Peter shook his head and said, "Look man, these guys are selling weapons that are crazy dangerous. They can't be out on the streets. If one of them can cut Delmar's Bodega in half-"

"You know Delmar's?" Aaron asked, very disinterested in the conversation.

Peter, a little taken back by the random question, nodded. "Yeah, best sandwich in Queens."

"Sub Haven's pretty good."

"Eh, it's too much bread."

"I like bread."

Peter realized they were off topic, and brought it back. "Come on, man, please."

Aaron thought for a second. He saw the footage on the news of the two supers fighting crime and saving those kids. He also remembered that both supers took care of each other like a family. It reminded him of his family.

When he didn't say anything, Peter groaned and started to walk away. "Stupid Interrogation Mode. Karen, don't ever do that again."

Aaron decided to speak up and help the kid. "The other night... you told that dude if you shoot somebody, shoot me... that's pretty ballsy. I don't want those weapons in this neighborhood. I got a nephew who live here."

Peter approached the car again, and asked, "Who are these guys? What can you tell me about the guy with the wings?"

"Other than he's a psychopath dressed like a demon, nothing." Aaron admitted which made Peter groan and rest his back on the car. "I don't know who he is or where he is. But I know where he's gonna be."

Peter's eyes widened as he realized hope wasn't lost. "Really?"

"Yeah this crazy dude I used to work with... he's supposed to be doing a deal with him." Aaron explained trying not to divulge too much of his past.

Peter, overexcited, started to cheer. He was so happy that he totally forgot to ask one vital question. "Yes, yes! Thank-"

"Hey, hey, hey." Aaron stopped the boy from walking away. "I didn't tell you where. You don't have a location."

Peter shrugged it off and walked back to lean on the car. The white eyes widened, and Aaron couldn't help but be a little creeped out by them. He wouldn't say that out loud though. "Where is it?"

"Can I give you some advice?" Aaron asked while looking at the boy. "You need to get your girl to give you some lessons on this. You got to get better at this part of the job."

"I don't understand." Peter said while standing up straight. "I'm intimidating."

Aaron chuckled and wondered how Veritas, a girl known to be very intimidating, could deal with such a doofus. Then again, he didn't know the girl behind the mask.

"Staten Island Ferry, 11" Aaron said, not commenting on the last remark Peter had made.

Peter's eyes widened as he looked at the time. "Oh that's soon." He started to walk away and pointed at the webs covering the guy's hands. "That's gonna dissolve in two hours."

Aaron shook his head and pointed to the webbing. "No, no, no. Come fix this."

"Two hours, you deserve that!" Peter yelled as he walked towards the exit.

Aaron tried to argue saying, "I got ice cream in here."

"You deserve that, you're criminal. Bye Mr. Criminal!"

Once he left, Aaron smiled to himself before getting out a knife to cut the webbing. He may not be a huge fan of superheroes, but Spider-Man definitely ranked in his top favorites.

Peter barely just made the ferry. He only did so by jumping and using the wings to help him soar over there. He managed to stick to the side.

"Nice." He mumbled to himself before quietly climbing up towards the windows.

After searching for a bit, he managed to find the man who he was looking for. "Okay Karen, activate Enhanced Reconnaissance Mode."

"Sure thing." She said.

Soon Peter could hear what the two men were talking about. He couldn't see the face on the guy who sat behind them, but at least he could hear them.

"He's up front, main deck." The man said who was turned the other way.

The black man, the one from the bridge, muttered, "I hate this guy."

To double check, he asked Karen, "It's the guy from the bridge, right?" Once it was confirmed on his screen, he asked, "Who's that other guy?"

While the man from the bridge got up to leave, the other reminded him to keep him updated on what was happening.

Karen said, "I'm not sure. There's no record of him in my criminal database."

He turned his face to the side so Peter could see a little bit, but he couldn't focus as May started to call him.

"Incoming call from May Parker." Karen announced while pulling up her profile picture. "Should I reroute to your heads-up display?"

"I can't talk right now. I'll call her back," Peter said while declining her call.

The drone from his suit crawled on top of his head then started to fly. "Hey dronie, keep an eye on that guy. We can't let anybody get away this time."

While the drone stayed to keep an eye on the man, Peter crawled his way over to the main deck to watch from above. He stayed on top of the boat as he got a visual on three men probably waiting for the other guy from the bridge.

"Who's the guy on the left?" Peter asked.

Karen analyzed the data and said, "Mac Gargan. Extensive criminal record, including homicide. Would you like me to activate instant kill?"

"No, Karen, stop it with the instant kill already." Peter muttered as he tried to pay attention to the discussion.

The man walked up to Mac and said casually, "White pick up truck."

Mac gestured for one of his men to go look for the truck. Peter said, "Dronie, scan the ship for a white pick up truck."

The drone quickly abandoned it's previous mission to find the truck. It got to it before the one of Mac's men even arrived. The drone recorded another guy showing off the weapons so Peter could see.

It couldn't be more perfect.

"Oh this is too perfect. I got the weapons, the buyers, and the sellers all in one place."

Then everything went haywire as Tony Stark, on his way to his daughter's apartment, called. He wanted to talk to Peter about what Violet had to do, and wanted to congratulate him on his first rescue mission.

"Incoming call from Tony Stark." Karen said. Unfortunately for Peter, Stark made it that Karen had to answer it every time he called.

Peter's eyes widened as he said, "No, no, no, don't answer-"

Too late.

"Mr. Parker, got a second?" He asked while taking off his glasses.

"I'm actually at school." Peter claimed while trying to focus on the men below.

Karen cut in, "No you're not."

Thanks Karen, Peter thought sarcastically.

Tony continued to talk, "Nice work in DC."

"Okay." Peter said while looking at the men interact.

"My dad never really gave me a lot of support. And I'm trying to break the cycle of shame for you and Violet."

Peter tried to cut in to get him off the phone as he viewed the guy from the bridge reach into his pocket. "I'm actually in the middle of something right now-"

"Don't cut me off when I'm complimenting you. Now Violet may be in trouble, but great things are about to-"

An air horn cut off Tony causing him to lose focus.

"What is that?"

Peter stammered, "I'm, uh, at band practice."

Tony scrunched his nose in confusion. "That's odd... Violet and Happy told me you quit band six weeks ago. What's up?"

"I gotta go. End call!" Peter said as he eyes set sight on the keys.

"Hey!" Stark yelled as the phone call ended.

Just as it ended though, he reached the apartment complex. He practically jumped out of the car to head to Violet's room. He quickly opened the door, and found his daughter eating food. She jumped when she saw him.

"Hey, what's-"

Tony sighed in relief. "Thank God." Then he pulled up his wrist watch and told Friday to bring him his suit.

He ran over to the windows and opened them wide. Violet followed him and asked, "Wait, what the hell is going on?"

"Where's Peter?"

Violet's eyes widened as she shrugged. "Uh... at school."

"Wrong." Tony said as the suit pieces slowly began to attach to him. "He is somewhere very loud on a boat, and I don't have a good feeling about it."

"What do you mean?" Violet's eyes widened.

He looked down at his daughter, and begged her, "Violet, what has been really going on? I need to know."

Violet pursed her lips and decided to tell him some of what they had actually been doing. "We've been hunting the manufacturer of those weapons."

"God damnit!" He exclaimed and looked around. "He disabled his tracking device, I don't know-"

"I do." Violet groaned as she went over to get bag to grab her wristlets. She tapped a button and the direct location of Peter showed up. She decided about a month ago it would be helpful to know where he was. "He's on a ferry."

Stark's suit finally finished. "Alright. You stay here, and when I get back-"

"I'm going with you." Violet said as she tapped the button on her suit that started to grow. Once it surrounded her and she put on her mask, she crossed her arms. "You need me. If there's an explosion, you'll need me to put the ship back together again."

"I can't have Ross-"

"I won't be on the scene then!" Violet claimed. "I'll do it subtly so he won't notice it. Tony, come on!"

Stark thought for a second before groaning. "Come on."

Violet smirked before growing her wings. Then together, both father and daughter flew to go find Spider-Man.

Meanwhile, Peter seemed to be doing just fine on his own.

"I'll take those!" He shouted as he grabbed the keys with his webs.

The men looked up at the web slinger in shock. He flipped down to the deck to meet the men as he teased them with the keys. "Hey guys! The illegal weapons-deal ferry was at 10:30. You missed it!"

Two of the guys attempted to get out their guns, but Spider-Man used his webs to grab both of them and knock them to the ground behind him. Then he flipped forwards and kicked Mac in the chest almost knocking him overboard. Then Peter used his webs to bring himself and Mac back. While Peter landed on the deck, Mac hit the edge of the ferry hard and had to hold on.

The man with the metal arm that tried to hit him at the bridge went to punch him from behind. Peter ducked though, and the man fell into the metal crate. It electrocuted the fence, and he wasn't able to get back up.

Meanwhile, the man by the white truck warned his boss. "Spider guy is here. Without Veritas."

The two men Peter knocked down before attempted to get up, but Spider-Man saw them and grabbed a motorcycle to knock them back down. "Woah, woah, not so fast." The men fell and were stuck under the bike. "Are you guys okay? My bad. That was a little hard.

"I gotta say," Peter said to the man who attempted to shock him with the glove, "the other guy was way better with that thing. I'm honestly... I'm shocked."

The man who alerted his boss before attempted to charge Spider-Man who just set off a web grenade without having to even turn around.

He did turn around though when he heard screams of pain and two bangs. At the end of the hall, the man he saw in the passenger deck stood. He grinned at Peter, happy to see him alone and without backup.

Maybe Peter would have won that day if the FBI hadn't shown up.

They appeared though and pointed their guns towards Peter, ordering him to freeze as he attempted to run towards the man.

"Freeze, FBI!"

"What do you mean FBI?" Peter asked as he looked around in shock.

Karen responded, "The Federal Bureau of Investigation-"

"I know but what are they doing here?" Peter asked as he held up his hands. He needed to figure out a way to get to the man before-

A loud bang cut off his thoughts. Peter's eyes widened, and the FBI turned around to face the new threat.

The Vulture emerged from the truck. He tried to stabilize himself in the air while holding one of his weapons. Once he was in the air, he flew at full speed towards Spider-Man. He didn't seem to care if innocent lives were in his way. All he wanted was Spider-Man at the bottom of the ocean.

Peter yelled towards the cops. "Get out of the way! Get out of the way!"

The agents refused to move until a purple beam was shot their way. It didn't stop some of them though. Vulture picked up a car and attempted to throw it at an agent, but Peter was faster.

He grabbed the agent and pushed him out of harm's way. Peter was hit towards the side, but wasn't severely injured. The man they were selling to though, Mac, he was hit in the head with the car and dropped into the ocean.

The man with the wings didn't seem to care as he turned to look at Peter.

He aimed his weapon to fire a warning shot. Once the agents scrambled away, it left Spider-Man, the man with the glove, and Vulture.

The boss yelled down, "Get to the top deck! We're getting out of here."

The man started to run to the stairs, but Peter shot out a web trying to stop him. Only, the Vulture shot a beam and cut the web in half. Peter turned his sights onto the Vulture and shot a web at the man's leg, stopping him from flying away.

As Peter struggled to hold the Vulture, the agents came back and started to shoot at the man. In retaliation, the Vulture fired the weapon twice, scattering the agents. Peter then used his webs to connect the already attached one to a car. He was stuck to the car now, but that didn't stop him from aiming at Spider-Man. Peter attached another web which stuck to the Vulture's wings. As the Vulture attempted to hit him, Peter was swinging back and forth over the water. He almost plummeted into the water, but quickly shot a couple webs to help him land back on the barge.

Spider-Man looked up at the Vulture who was cutting off all the webs attached to him. He went to aim his weapon again, but Peter shot a web towards the weapon. The two tugged back and forth on it for a while until Peter got an idea.

"Activate taser webs!" Peter demanded as he hit a column and used it to keep a hold on the weapon.

Well his idea worked. It got him to drop the weapon onto the deck. But at the same time, it just created a bigger mess. As it landed on the deck, it started to fire randomly. Peter didn't really know what to do so he tried to web it up to stop it from firing.

Once it seemed to have stopped, he turned to look at the Vulture. He yelled out a warning to the hero.

"You're messing with things you don't understand!"

The Vulture flew away. Right as Peter was going to follow him, the webbing broke on the weapon. The gun shot out rays all over the boat. The passengers ran to either side of the boat, trying to avoid the middle.

Then the blast stopped, and boat ripped in half.

Peter's eyes widened as his planned failed. "Oh my God! What do I do?! Karen, uh, give me an x-ray of the boat and target all the strongest points!"

Karen pulled up an x-ray and highlighted the strongest points in red. Immediately, Peter flew into action. He shot webs onto all the strongest points and attached them to others. He rushed across the boat, throwing webs at anything highlighted in red.

As Peter was trying to keep the boat together, Iron Man and Veritas saw the boat from afar.

Veritas covered her mouth in shock. "Oh my God!"

She was about to fly forward to see if Peter was alright, but Stark stopped her. "Let me go! I have to see if-"

"No, stay here. You can't be seen, Violet. You promised." Stark said through his helmet.

"I'm not just going to stand by and watch him sink to the ocean!"

Tony shook his head. "He won't. I got him. When I tell you to, I want you to repair the bottom floor of the ship. They won't notice it."

Violet bit her lip, but nodded. Stark then flew away, and Violet went to sit down on the dock and waited. She watched it from afar, and hoped that he would be okay.

Peter got to the other side of the ship as he thought he had webbed everything up. He paused and tried to catch his breath as he looked up to see the boat.

He stood up, and Karen stated, "Great job Peter. You were 98% successful."

"98?" Peter asked as he tried to find the one spot he missed. The one spot that would make the difference.

One man stood up and screamed, "Yeah Spider-Man!"

Then the webs broke.

All around him, everything fell apart. Peter tried to find some way to keep it together. In vain, he leaped forward to grab the last two webs to pull. He used all of his strength to keep the boat together. It felt like it was ripping him in half as he struggled to hold on.

Then it got easier. One side of the boat seemed to shift towards the other.

"What the hell?" Peter muttered as he easily lowered to the ground which was again connected.

Then his eyes widened in shock and despair as Iron Man appeared in the window. "Hi Spider-Man. Band practice was it?"

Under his breath, Tony muttered. "Now."

Veritas closed her eyes and suddenly a red light appeared on her hands as red traveled through her veins. She closed her fists tightly which immediately connected the two pieces. A glowing red line appeared and Peter immediately knew Veritas was here. His throat closed up though, as Tony Stark called on his drones. They immediately pushed the boat together to make it seem like Veritas had no part in it.

Once the ship was stabilized, the same man who had started to cheer on Spidery, started to cheer again. "Yeah, Iron Man!"

Peter quickly ran after the superhero and swung underneath where the cars were once kept. He crawled on the ceiling as Stark used his fire to melt the metal in place.

As he flew outside the boat, ignoring the Spider, he tried to keep the boat together. Peter kept trying to gain the angry man's attention.

"Mr. Stark!" Peter called out as he climbed to the highest point. "Hey, Mr. Stark, could I do anything? What do you want me to do?"

In anger, he shot a wire near the kid's head causing him to stop. "I think you've done enough."

With that, Tony Stark flew away to fix the mess Peter had created. The boy hung from the top of the boat and looked around him, taking in the mess. His heart lurched when he realized he was the cause of this.

Veritas stood off in the distance, watching the scene unfold.

Neither of them knew what to expect next.
