The Lows of Life

She wore the smile perfectly.
She went along with the rules.
She was the perfect girl.
But she had a side to her.
It only came out at night.
Her smile turned sharp,
The rules changed to suit her;
She had tricked us all.
We all waited for her to choose the right boy, the right life.
Who knew she had already decided on something else?
How could we have guessed?
We should've had precautions.
We should've done things differently.
We should've hidden the sheep,
Because she was the wolf.
