(Y/n) 's P. O. V
The heavy smell of rainwater mixed with nicotine hits my nose. Making my hand fly up to my face to cover it from the smell. I am in Ashley's apartment.
The Funtiure was light grey... Two couches and a small coffee table. A big black flat screen hung up on the wall.. Two plants on each side.
There was a lot of plants in her apartment, it looked like a nice little forest to me especially with the nice smell of rainwater, she had her living room window open while it's raining outside along with this thing that releases the nice smell of sweet peas. I think it's called an air freshener.. I don't care, it smells good.
The nicotine smell is coming from her room, so I start walking towards the door.. The smell is a lot stronger.
I knock twice.. Letting her know I am here.
“come in.. ” her voice sounded so fate but I heard it. I open the door, sucking in a deep breath when I see her.
There she was, in a big black shirt, white boy shorts, slumped over her balcony chair..
I walked in a bit more.. Studying the room. Beer bottles on the floor, a bong in the corner, clothes on the floor, and her bed was half made.
I finally walk out to the balcony. Her eyes meet mine. The first thing I felt was guilt. I did this to her... All week I was too stubborn to pick up her calls or text her.. And here she was... Broken. I broke her.
“Don't look so sad, (Y/n). ” she said, smiling weakly.
When she said my name all I wanted to do is break down and start crying. My name was like a stranger.. Like this is her first time meeting me.
I can feel a single tear roll down my cheek. I sob and fall to my knees.
“Oh, (Y/n)! Please stop crying. ” Ashley says, grabbing me.. Holding me.
The feeling of being safe broke me even more... I used to love that feeling... It now feels forbidden. I sob even more then before.
“I'm sorry.. ” I whispered.. That's all that came out my mouth, I couldn't say anymore.. I had nothing to say.
Ashley then hugs me tighter.. And starts to sing,
“I'm going back to 505, if it's a 7 hour flight or a 45 minute drive... In my imagination you're waiting lying on your side.. ”
She stops.. I choke a sob and whispered, “With your hands between your thighs.. ”
She smiles at me and sings the rest,
“stop and wait a sec, oh when you look at me like that my darling, what did you expect.. I'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck.. ”
I softly laugh at that part.. I'm such a dumb ass, it seems like the song is about me.. Always coming at her and arguing with her.
But, I'll always love her.
And
She'll always love me.
