A/n: Chapter two! Let's go and thanks for all of the views! Much appreciated!
(Y/n) POV:
Natsu:"We're back!" He shouted and kicked open the doors like a mad man. We were all greeted with cheers or friendly gestures. Lucy looked around in awe, while I went to get my favorite dessert. Strawberry sundaes.
I walked over to the bar counter and sat down. Mirajane was still serving everyone, so I tapped pulled out my book and decided to pass some time.
???:"Still reading that book, huh?" I heard a familiar voice ask me. I lowered my book to see Mirajane smiling at me.
"Hey, Mira. How's it going?" I asked the white haired girl. She giggled and sat beside me.
Mirajane:"I'm fine. How was the trip with Natsu?" She asked curiously. I suddenly heard loud crashing noises and looked to see Natsu beating up his informant. Mirajane laughed and looked at me.
Mirajane:"No good, huh?" She questioned. I nodded and set my book down.
"Yeah. He actually destroyed the whole port of Haregon." I told the female wizard. She sighed and shook her head.
Mirajane:"Oh, Natsu. He will never change." She said tiredly, but I knew she still cared for the guy. Mirajane then grabbed something from behind the bar and handed it to me. It was a strawberry sundae.
"Thank you." I graciously reached for her offer. Mirajane then teasingly pulled it back.
Mirajane:"Only if you will go on a date with me." She said playfully. I sighed and nodded.
"Okay." I told her. She raised an eyebrow in skepticism.
Mirajane:"Are you agreeing because you don't care, or do you like me?" She asked with a pout. I looked at her in the eye.
"It's because I like your cooking." I told the guild's model and bartender. She tilted her head in thought before shrugging.
Mirajane:"Good enough." She replied and handed me my dessert. I began eating the delicious food and made the girl giggle.
Mirajane:"I'm expecting this date on a Saturday night." She told me, and I nodded. Mirajane pecked me on the cheek before heading off to serve more people. That was when I saw her bump into Lucy, and the two began to converse.
I ate my desert and watched the guild begin to engage into combat. Everything was flying around, and Cana was chugging barrels of liquor. I sighed and set down my empty glass of ice cream before walking over to the alcoholic.
"Cana. Have you been drinking again?" I asked the lady. Cana stopped chugging the alcohol and threw away the evidence before laughing nervously.
Cana:"I don't know what you're talking about, (Y/n)." She tried to play it off. I sat down beside her and held out a flask. Cana looked at me in disbelief, and I shook my head.
"This is a detox medicine for your liver and kidneys." I told the female alcoholic. She took the flask and looked at it before turning her attention to me.
Cana:"Why are you giving me this?" She asked curiously. I shrugged and pulled out my book.
"All that alcohol is going to kill you. This will let you drink and not damage your body." I explained to her. She quickly chugged the flask and handed it back to me.
Cana:"It tasted just like whiskey. How did you get this?" She questioned. I put away the flask and looked around. Natsu readied his fire magic, and Gray readied his ice magic.
"With a little magic, you can make a lot of things." I told the girl. However, she wasn't listening because she readied her own tarot magic against the guild. I quickly left before getting caught in the crossfire. Suddenly, I felt someone bump into me.
Lucy:"Sorry!" I heard her apologize before turning to look at me.
"Hey." I greeted. She looked up and down at me. There was confusion in her eyes.
Lucy:"How come you're not fighting?" She questioned. I shrugged and led her to a safe spot I always sat at.
"I don't like fighting." I answered calmly. She looked at me in surprise.
Lucy:"You might be the only sane person around here." She commented. I shrugged and pulled out my book.
"If you say so." I replied and began reading. Suddenly, the doors burst open, and stomping in was Master Makarov himself.
Makarov:"You clowns are driving me nuts!" He yelled out with fury. It terrified Lucy, but was a normal occurrence for us around here. I began to get lost in my book.
'So this requip mage is a redhead. Reminds me of someone.' I thought to myself and turned the page. Suddenly, I saw a fireball shoot right towards me. However, Natsu jumped and intercepted it before it hit.
Natsu:"Yum!" He stated and ate the fire. I looked to see Makarov glaring at me.
Makarov:"(Y/n)!" His voice boomed at me. Lucy yelped and froze. The short wizard waddled over to me and hopped onto the counter beside me.
"Yes, master?" I asked without care. Lucy then nudged me.
Lucy:"He looks pissed." She whispered with concern. I glanced at the two. Lucy was scared out of her wits, while Makarov was glaring at me. The two of us stared at each other, until he slapped my back and laughed.
Makarov:"This guy here is probably the only one that didn't have to do with any of these complaints! You should all follow his example!" He announced to everyone. Lucy looked dumbstruck.
Gray:"Aren't you always complaining about his laziness?" He reminded. Makarov scratched his chin in thought. Then he shrugged.
Makarov:"Better lazy than costing us so much money!" He corrected the ice wizard. Gray shrugged and began to strip himself.
Cana:"Gray, your clothes." She reminded the stripper. He yelped from being startled before fumbling to get his clothes on. Makarov grabbed a drink and sat down beside me. The two of us watched Lucy choose a color for her guild mark. However, it looked like she couldn't decide.
Lucy:"What should I choose?" She asked herself with uncertainty. Then I saw her look over to me.
Lucy:"Hey, (Y/n). What color is your guild mark?" She asked curiously. I tapped my chin before responding.
"Hold on. Let me check." I told the blonde. She gave me a confused look.
Lucy:"Shouldn't you know what color you chose?" She questioned. Mirajane shook her head.
Mirajane:"(Y/n) has a special guild mark. See for yourself." She told the new member. I unzipped my vest, and Lucy began to blush.
Lucy:"Don't tell me you strip too!!!" She cried out. I shook my head and opened my vest to reveal my guild mark. It was currently red.
"Not all the time. The mark is red at the moment." I told the blonde. Lucy was about to speak, but it turned pink.
"Never mind. It's pink now." I corrected myself. Lucy reeled back in shock, and Mirajane giggled.
Mirajane:"His can change color. Something that no other person in the guild has." She told Lucy with a smile. Lucy recovered from the shock and looked at me before snapping her fingers.
Lucy:"You were thinking about me, right?" She directed her question towards me. I tapped my chin in thought before nodding.
"Yes." I answered briefly. Lucy then looked at Mirajane and decided her color. Pink. Mirajane stamped Lucy's hand, and she was now an official Fairy Tail member.
Mirajane:"Why did you choose pink?" She asked curiously. Lucy smiled and glanced over at me.
Lucy:"I view (Y/n) as a very insightful person, and if his mark changes colors based on thoughts and emotions, he associates the color pink with me." She explained her reasoning. Makarov chuckled softly, and I glanced at him.
Makarov:"You're already making an impact on the new member, (Y/n)." He stated in amusement. I shrugged.
"I don't see how. My tattoo only changed colors." I replied to the elder wizard. Makarov chuckled, while I watched Lucy go show off her new guild mark to Natsu. Of course, he messes up her name and doesn't care. He was more interested in the request board.
Lucy began to yell at Natsu, but he was ignoring her. Suddenly, the doors opened, and Macao's son appeared. He stormed over to Makarov and demanded a search party for his father. Makarov denied any act, and it resulted in him getting domed by the little kid. I sighed and walked over to the door. Macao's son began sobbing and ran past me. I watched him leave before turning to Natsu.
"Come on Natsu. Let's go." I told the dragon slayer mage. He slammed the request paper back onto the board violently before walking over to me.
Lucy:"Hey! Where are you guys going?" She cried out. Natsu walked past me and left the guild. I glanced back at the blonde before speaking.
"Going to retrieve Macao." I answered the question before following after Natsu.
(Lucy POV):
After (Y/n) answered my question, I flinched in shock. (Y/n) was actually doing something! Not to mention, Natsu was really upset all of a sudden. I looked back at Makarov and Mirajane.
"What was that about?" I asked curiously. Mirajane sighed and continued to clean the mugs.
Mirajane:"There are a lot of things that you don't know about Natsu or (Y/n)." She said in a saddened tone.
Mirjane proceeded to tell me about Natsu's past. How he was alone and was raised by a dragon. Then he showed up to Fairy Tail and has been here since. Then I wondered what was (Y/n)'s past.
"What about (Y/n)?" I asked Mirajane. She suddenly stiffened, and the entire guild went silent. I looked around to see everyone stop doing whatever and look down grimly. Suddenly, Mirajane dropped the mug she was cleaning.
"Are you okay?!" I asked with worry. She shook her answer and picked up the mug.
Mirajane:"I'm sorry. It's just that (Y/n)..." She trailed off. I looked into her eyes to see that there were tears welling up. Elfman walked over and hugged his sister.
Elfman:"It's okay big sister. You can cry unmanly tears." He stated with a sniffle. I grew concerned. It was like (Y/n)'s past suddenly put everyone down. Makarov sighed and began to speak.
Makarov:"Even though (Y/n) may appear care-free, he probably has one of the darkest past around here. It's something a person like him should never endure." He explained to me. I wanted to press further, but he held up his hand.
Makarov:"If you want to know more about (Y/n), then ask him yourself. This is something you should hear from him." He said sadly before hopping away. I looked at him in surprise before turning to Mirajane. She was actually in tears.
Mirajane:"It's so sad." She cried and hugged her brother even more. I looked at the doors to the guild. Determination filled my heart, and I decided to go help Natsu and (Y/n) find Macao.
Timeskip brought to you by chibi (Y/n) carrying chibi Lucy through the snow...
(Y/n) POV:
Lucy:"Ugh! So lame!" She complained that her minotaur was easily defeated by a perverted monkey. I began to analyze the situation.
Natsu was thrown off the side of the mountain. He would be okay, but it will take a bit for Happy to carry him back. Lucy was in imminent danger, and her celestial spirits will not help. The monkey for the most part, has been ignoring me. I too returned the gesture, but it looks like I'll have to step in.
"Lucy. Get behind me." I told the blonde mage. She looked at me and nodded before running behind me. I rubbed my hands together and looked at Lucy.
"I'm going to ask a big favor." I told Lucy. She looked at me with determination.
Lucy:"I'm willing to help with anything." She replied sternly. I nodded and removed my vest. Lucy looked at me in disbelief.
Lucy:"Why are you stripping at this moment?!?!" She asked in shock. I set down the vest and pointed at her feet.
"Take off your shoes and rub your feet on my vest." I told the girl. She looked at me like I was crazy. I sighed tiredly.
"This is to create static. Something I'll need." I told the girl. Lucy hesitantly removed her boots and began rubbing her feet on the jacket. I held my hand over her socks and concentrated. The energy began flowing into me.
Lucy:"Can you explain what you're going to do with this static?" She questioned with skepticism. Once I was charged up, I turned to the celebrating ape.
"Make some magic." I answered and rubbed my hands together. A giant white magic circle formed in front of me.
"Static Shockwave!" I yelled out and sent a massive wave of static energy towards the overgrown monkey. It began spasming before stiffening.
Lucy:"You paralyzed it!" She noted. I nodded and then formed another magic circle. This time it was way larger than the last one. It lit up the entire cave in brilliant yellow.
Lucy:"Amazing..." She commented in awe. This was going to become the finishing move. However, I was interrupted by Natsu.
Natsu:"Back off (Y/n)! This one's mine!" He yelled and slammed his fist together. I dissolved my magic circle and gestured to Natsu.
"He's all yours." I told the dragon slayer mage. He smirked before forming his magic circle.
Natsu:"Fire dragon iron fist!" He yelled and covered his fists in fire. Natsu then rushed at the monster before punching it into the wall. It resulted with blowing off the side of the mountain. Suddenly, the Vulcan glowed and transformed into Macao.
I walked over to the unconscious guy. Guess he ended up getting defeated by the last Vulcan. Natsu was trying to wake up Macao by yelling at him, but I knew it wouldn't work. I placed my hand over his head and channeled some magic energy into him. Lucy looked at me in shock.
Lucy:"What are you doing?" She asked curiously. I removed my hand, and Macao began to stir.
"I gave him a little magic energy, so he would wake up." I answered Lucy's question and stood up.
I decided to let Natsu and Macao have their heartfelt moment to themselves and walked away. Happy saw me and nodded. I returned the gesture before gathering all of our supplies. Natsu had the connection with Macao, I didn't. I was just the boy who showed up at Fairy Tail. The one that never really did anything. To think of it, I probably could count the number of missions I did on my two hands.
I looked back to see Macao and Natsu smiling, as the younger one helped the older wizard. Lucy was beaming happily too at the bond we had at Fairy Tail.
Natsu:"Come on. Let's get you back to your son." He told the older wizard. They joked and laughed, and we all began heading home.
Happy, Natsu, and Macao went on ahead, while I trailed behind to keep a lookout for them. Didn't want any more mountain creatures barging in. Lucy decided to join me at my side. For some reason, she was always staring at my face. Like she was trying to figure me out or something.
"Is there something you wanted to know?" I asked the rookie wizard. She blushed in embarrassment before rubbing the back of her head.
Lucy:"Sorry. It's just that I've been meaning to ask you about something." She explained herself.
"Ask away." I granted permission. She nodded and took a deep breath.
Lucy:"When I asked Mirajane about your past, everything just went cold. What happened?" She questioned. I stared ahead into space. She wanted to know about that. My eyes closed, and I sighed.
"Not so great stuff. Pretty tragic and cliche if you ask me." I answered her question. She tilted her head in curiosity. No doubt wanting to know more about the specifics. I stopped walking, and Lucy did the same.
"If you would like to know more, ask Master. Tell him that he has my permission. Don't ask Mirajane because she'll cry." I told Lucy before starting to walk again. Lucy remained frozen for a bit before catching up to me.
Lucy:"Sorry if I brought up bad memories." She apologized with a guilty tone. I shook my head.
"No need to be sorry. Almost everyone has a bad past." I assured to the worried blonde. Lucy reluctantly agreed and proceeded to walk with me in silence.
Eventually, we arrived back at Magnolia and returned Macao to his son. He thanked all of us for helping, and I saw Lucy beam with pride. It made me glad to see her like this. This was what Fairy Tail was all about. Friendship.
We all decided to split up and head to our respective homes. Mine being the guild itself. I hopped onto the roof of the guild and stared at the starry sky. It reminded me of my old home, so it comforted me.
Then Lucy's question came into my mind. Something that I always want to forget, but it never goes. I sighed tiredly and closed my eyes. However, I opened them again when I heard ruffling noises. This made me let out another sigh.
"Mystogan." I acknowledged the mysterious wizard. He walked over and sat down beside me. His scarf and hood covering up his face even though there was no one to see it besides me.
Mystogan:"I see you're still homeless." He pointed out. I shrugged and patted the rough roofing.
"This place is home." I reminded the mage. He scoffed and set down his staff.
Mystogan:"Keep telling yourself that, and even you may believe that." He commented in amusement. The two of us silently stared at the stars after that comment he made. Then I decided to get to the point.
"What brings you here? I know that you didn't come for another mission?" I questioned. Mystogan turned to look at me.
Mystogan:"Since when did you start caring?" He replied with a question. I shrugged.
"Since never. I don't care anymore." I replied with the truth. The mage shook his head before standing up.
Mystogan:"I will never understand you. You possess great magical power, yet you are lazy to an appalling amount." He stated with confusion. I remained emotionless, as Mystogan began walking away.
Mystogan:"Say, (Y/n). Has Laxus tried to kill you yet?" He attempted at a joke. I nodded in response.
"He sure did. I was trying to eat some pizza when he attacked me." I explained to Mystogan. He went silent for a bit before speaking.
Mystogan:"Did you win?" He asked with a gruff voice. I shrugged.
"I dunno. I still finished the pizza. Mirajane made a really good one too." I replied. Mystogan nodded before walking away.
Mystogan:"She sure did." He stated before disappearing. He knew the answer.
Flashback...
Laxus:"Fight me, (Y/n)!" He roared and shot a beam of lightning at me. Even though he was the lightning dragon slayer, I still rivaled his strength. He was given the dragon slayer magic, but I trained with mine.
I sidestepped his attack. Before it could redirect itself and hurt surrounding people. I teleported in front of him and grabbed his throat. He looked at me in shock, as I began to drain him of his magical energy.
The electric power he had inside of him began to flow through me. Once I felt that it was enough, I dropped the defeated Laxus. He fell to his knees, and I walked past him.
Everyone in the guild was shocked by what just happened. Someone like me had easily defeated one of the top mages in Fairy Tail. I sat back down at my table and continued to eat my pizza. Natsu and Gray appeared beside me.
Natsu:"Forget Erza! I want to fight you!" He exclaimed with determination.
Gray:"Forget about that slanty eyed freak. Fight me!" He roared. This led to the two to forget about me and begin to butt heads. I nodded in satisfaction. The pizza was good.
Flashback end...
Aside from that memory, my eyes slightly narrowed in thought. Mystogan doesn't show up or speak unless he absolutely needs to. I then hummed to myself. I had figured it out.
'He probably was looking for Erza.' I thought to myself and nodded in satisfaction. The wizard never looked at anyone in the guild. Except for Makarov, me, Laxus, and Erza. His stare always lingered around Erza, and he thought no one noticed.
I shrugged off the conspiracy and sighed to myself. It was late, and my brain was working too hard. I decided to get some rest. Mainly because Erza was coming back in a few days.
Timeskip brought to you by chibi (Y/n) sleeping on the roof for days on end...
I opened my eyes to be met with sunlight bearing down on me. It annoyed me, so I pulled out my shades and put them on before going back to sleep. Unfortunately, the guild didn't permit that because Natsu decided to make his arrival known.
Natsu:"We're back!" He shouted the same lines as last time. I rubbed my head sleepily and let out a yawn. Today was going to be tiring. It felt like I barely got any rest on these hard tiles.
I hopped down onto the ground and began stretching. My joints cracked with each movement before I was completely flexible once again. I smacked my lips and let out another yawn.
???:"Hello, (Y/n). Did you finally decide to wake up?" A very familiar voice questioned. I turned to see Erza holding a massive horn that was decorated. I removed my shades and looked at the requip mage.
"Hello, Erza. I see you've defeated the beast easily." I greeted the redhead. She blushed and giggled a bit. A response that Erza doesn't give off to just anyone. Not even most of her guild.
Erza:"Stop exaggerating my power, (Y/n). We both know you're more powerful than I am." She replied. I shrugged and walked over to the redhead. She pulled me into a sudden embrace. Which involved my head slammed into her metal chest piece. It kind of hurt actually.
Erza:"It's so good to see you again." She told me genuinely. I knew that she meant it because almost no one ever spoke to her. Only Makarov, but that was just formal talk. Mirajane was her dormant rival. The other S-class mages were gone most of the time. That left me to talk to her. It allowed her to be human around me and not tough all of the time.
"Nice to see you too. Want me to carry that?" I asked the female knight and pointed to the massive trophy. She shook her head.
Erza:"No. I'm going to use this to straighten out the guild." She told me and began walking towards the guild. I sighed tiredly. She was going to chew out everyone, so I decided not to let people think she was playing favorites.
Timeskip brought to you by chibi (Y/n) being too aloof...
(Lucy POV):
'Oh my. She's scolding everyone her like a parent!' I thought to myself in fear. Erza had already chewed out the rest of the guild. She welcomed me with a painful hug. I could see why people fear her. Even Natsu and Gray began acting like Happy around Erza.
Erza:"I'm so glad you two have stopped fighting." She said with a hint if relief. Natsu and Gray hugged each other and nodded.
Natsu/Gray:"Aye!" They shouted in unison. I looked at them dumbfounded by what was going on. Finally, she turned to (Y/n) who appeared out of nowhere.
Erza:"(Y/n)!" She yelled. Everyone went silent. I began to fear for that man's life. He was the laziest in the entire guild. No denying that. (Y/n) looked up at Erza and waved.
(Y/n):"Hey, Erza. Want some cake?" He offered and pulled out a plate of strawberry shortcake. Everyone's jaw dropped. Including mine. Was he insane.
"H-He's going to get killed." I stuttered in terror. Mirajane then started to giggle and walked over beside me.
Mirajane:"No. He and Erza are very close. Watch." She assured me. Erza walked over to (Y/n) and scooped up a piece of cake before eating it. I fell over in disbelief.
"WHAT?!?!?" I asked in shock and nearly fainted. Natsu walked over and nodded.
Natsu:"Yeah. He's one of the few people here who isn't afraid of Erza." Natsu whispered to me. I sat up and saw that Erza was enjoying the desert with (Y/n), who was currently reading casually. I swear there was a tint of red om her cheeks.
"How?" I asked curiously. Before Natsu could answer, Erza began demanding for Makarov. However, he wasn't around at the moment.
Mirajane told her that he was gone on an important wizard leaders meeting. Erza then revealed that she had overheard of something going down. It correlated to what Natsu, Gray, Happy, and I heard. Lullaby.
It was a dangerous mission, and even Erza acknowledged that. She then did the unexpected and turned to Gray and Natsu.
Erza:"I'm going to need your help." She told the two rivals. We all looked at her in shock, besides (Y/n) of course. Natsu and Gray were hesitant, but they agreed because this was a dangerous mission, and they don't turn their backs on friends. Then Erza looked at (Y/n).
Erza:"Would you like to come?" She asked politely. Natsu and Gray fell over dumbstruck.
Natsu:"She didn't even ask us." He commented in defeat.
Gray:"Yeah. We just got ordered into this." He agreed. I shook my head at the two. (Y/n) looked up from his book and stared at us blankly.
(Y/n):"Recap. This mission could lead to life or death of many people. We're facing against an entire dark guild as a possibility. Not to mention, we have three of the most destructive wizards in all of Fairy Tail. Now you want to add me on top of that?" He summarized everything. Erza nodded.
Erza:"Yes." She replied sternly. (Y/n) shrugged and closed his book.
(Y/n):"Sure. I've been meaning to refill my sock." He agreed. I looked at him in confusion.
Erza:"We're not getting paid." She told the aloof wizard. He blinked a few times before shrugging.
(Y/n):"I'm sure I could use a walk." He came up with another reason.
Erza:"We're using the train." She added. Natsu began to get sick already. (Y/n) scratched his head in thought.
(Y/n):"You're really making this hard for me to join your quest." He replied. Erza stared at him sternly.
Erza:"Then do it for the potential innocent that could die." She said with great conviction. (Y/n) tapped his chin in thought before shrugging.
(Y/n):"Okay then. I kind of don't want kids to die today." He agreed before walking to the exit. Erza cracked a small smile, and I could only watch in shock. Mirajane then gasped.
Mirajane:"This is it! The most powerful team in all of Fairy Tail!" She exclaimed excitedly. I looked at her in confusion. I get Natsu, Gray, and Erza, but (Y/n)?
"Are you sure? Especially with (Y/n)." I questioned the bartender's logic. She smiled softly and looked down.
Mirajane:"Even though (Y/n) may not look the part, he really is powerful. He's actually a S-class mage." She explained to me. I choked and looked at her in disbelief. (Y/n) was a S-class mage?!?!?
Timeskip brought to you by chibi (Y/n) sleeping on the job...
(Y/n) POV:
Lucy:"You what?!" She essentially screamed. I shrugged in response.
Erza had just gone through the details to the ordeal. Turns out there is this cursed flute that kills you if you hear it. Apparently, this was all the work of Eisenwald, a dark guild. Their leader, Erigor, decided to pursue this plan. For what reason, I believed that it was a power statement. However, I did find it odd that people wanted to kill others to emphasize their power. If you did that, there wouldn't be anyone to see that belief.
Besides all of that, the discussion moved onto where I was the last few days. Natsu and Lucy had undertaken a mission for several days. It turns out that I slept through all of that. This made everyone shocked.
Gray:"How can you sleep that long? It's like you're an animal hibernating." He commented, but I didn't care. Sleep is sleep. Didn't miss much, so I wasn't bothered.
I glanced over at Erza to see her with her fist slammed down on the unconscious Natsu. She had her teeth grit in anger about Erigor's plan. I placed my hand over hers, and she flinched.
"It will be alright. We've always stopped evil, and we'll do it again." I assured the redhead. She looked at me in surprise.
"After all, you are the Great Erza." I threw in for good measure. She then smiled softly, and I saw her face tint a little. Then Erza nodded confidently.
Erza:"With you all at my side, Eisenwald stands no chance." She stated confidently. I nodded and went to remove my hand because she was all better now.
However, my hand wouldn't move. I looked down to see that Erza was still holding it. I guess she must still be worried and needed a little comfort. I decided to move my leg a bit to hide the fact that she was holding my hand. Erza gave me a silent thankful look. I merely leaned back and waited for the train ride to be over.
After a few minutes, we arrived at the next train station. However, Erza accidentally left Natsu behind on the train. She ordered Happy to stop the train, and he pulled the emergency brake. After that, we all piled into a magic powered car. Erza began to strap on the magic cord to her arm, while everyone else hopped into the back. I walked to the front and looked at the knight.
"Are you sure you should be using your energy?" I questioned. She turned to face me and nodded sternly.
Erza:"I should do this because I have the most magic energy out of all of us, aside from you. If anything goes wrong, I'll need you at full strength." She explained to me. I nodded, but patted her hand.
"Just don't overdo yourself." I warned her before hopping on top of the passenger cabin. Erza nodded, and we began speeding after Natsu.
Eventually we caught up to the train, but it was still moving. Natsu then flew out, and crashed into Gray. Erza stopped the car, and I watched her storm over to the already hurt wizards.
Erza:"I am sorry for leaving you behind. Please hit me." She told Natsu and slammed his head against her metal chest piece. We all winced at the sight. That is until Natsu said that he saw the Lullaby flute on the train. Erza slapped him with her full might.
Lucy:"Well that turned around quickly..." She muttered, and I nodded in agreement. We all piled in and began chasing after the train. Erza was going faster now, and I knew that it was going to drain her energy very quickly. I reached over and placed my hand onto her shoulder.
Erza:"(Y/n). What are you doing?" She questioned. I began channeling my magic into her, and saw her eyes widen with the rush of power.
"Just helping out. Don't want you to pass out in front of everyone." I explained calmly. She looked at me with surprise before nodding in thanks.
Erza:"Thank you, (Y/n)." She whispered. I fed her energy, as we continued to chase down the train. However, we arrived fo find robbed passengers. It looks like they were headed for Oshibana station.
I transferred enough energy to Erza so she could get to the station with no problem before checking on my other companions. Gray had stripped down of his clothes again. Natsu was suffering from his motion sickness. Lucy was trying her best not to snap from the two silly men.
Lucy:"You guys are so lame..." She muttered and then saw me poking my head through the window. I waved at her, and she immediately turned red.
Lucy:"I-I didn't mean it towards you!" She said with a sudden fear. I looked at her with slight confusion. Lucy suddenly was afraid of me.
"Are you alright? You seem on edge with me?" I asked the blonde girl. She shook her head and hands frantically.
Lucy:"No! No! No! I'm definitely not on edge!" She said a little too quickly. However, I didn't have the desire to pursue the situation any further. So in the end, I merely shrugged.
"Okay then." I agreed and laid back down on the roof of the vehicle. I noticed that Erza was glancing at me.
Erza:"So. What do you think of he new girl?" She began the small talk. I shrugged.
"She seems and looks nice." I answered. Erza stiffened and gained a tick mark.
Erza:"Really? Please do emphasize." She said in a random strained tone. I tapped my chin in thought.
"Well. She has her quirks, but I do see potential in her. She does possess many zodiac keys for her level." I explained further. Erza seemed to relax a bit.
Erza:"How about the nice part?" She questioned further.
"I can tell that she's kind hearted. Not to mention, Makarov does love her body." I replied.
Erza:"H0w do you feel about her body?" She asked in a hesitant tone. I shrugged.
"A woman's look doesn't necessarily concern me. It's about what's in here." I answered and tapped where my heart was. Erza looked at me in surprise. That's why I chose to put my guild mark there. Love, magic, and friendship are the most powerful of all, and it comes from the heart. It was something I figured out a long time ago. Something I had wished happened sooner. Erza then cracked a small smile.
Erza:"Interesting." She commented on my answer with a pleased tone. I nodded and then snapped my fingers. I had just remembered something.
"Erza. Do you know what girls like?" I asked the redhead knight. The car suddenly rocked violently for a second. I heard Natsu groan from the sickness. Gray and Lucy were shouting for him to point out of the window. Erza turned around and looked at me with a blushing face.
Erza:"What?! W-Why do you ask?" She questioned in a stutter. I turned my body to face her.
"I'm taking Mirajane on a date tomorrow. However, I don't know what girls like." I answered Erza's question. She didn't answer. Instead, I saw her eye twitch, and a dark aura surrounded her. Before I could ask again, we arrived at the Oshibana station.
Erza:"We're here." She said in a serious tone. It looked like she ignored my question, but I didn't care. I could ask Lucy later.
Everyone hopped out and ran up to the train station. The local military tried to stop the Eisenwald guild, but I knew they were no match.
Erza:"Come on everyone! We need to hurry!" She urged us on. I followed after the group into the station. We passed the dead soldiers that had been sent in, and I closed my eyes. Images of innocent people dead all around me began flashing inside my head. I slowed down and calmed down my fast beating heart.
Lucy:"Are you okay, (Y/n)?" I heard Lucy ask with concern. I opened my eyes and looked at her. The others had ran ahead, and it was just Lucy and me. I nodded and walked over to me.
"I'm fine. Let's keep moving." I assured the celestial mage, and the two of us kept moving. She looked at me with worry, but it would have to wait until later.
We arrived to the center of the station. There appeared to be no one, but I knew they were here. I cracked my knuckles and looked over at Erza.
"He's here." I notified her in a grim tone. She nodded and pulled out her sword. That was when Erigor and his guild revealed themselves.
Erigor:"Well well well. Looks like we have some Fairy Tail scum that showed up." He sneered. Natsu grit his teeth in anger and pointed at the dark wizard.
Natsu:"Oh yeah? I'm looking at the scumbag that can't even be in a real guild!" Natsu insulted. This ticked off the evil wizard for a second, but Erigor grew amused.
Erigor:"Well see if you still have that spirit after what's going down." He replied with an evil smirk. Erza then readied her sword and listed her demands.
Erza:"Surrender at once, Erigor! We won't allow you to use the Lullaby spell!" She demanded. Erigor scoffed and waved for his men to ready for an attack.
Erigor:"Right, you and what army?" He retorted. It was Erza's turn to smirk.
Erza:"I don't need an army when I have the most powerful mages in all of Fiore. Now Natsu and Gray!" She replied and ordered the two powerful wizards. Natsu and Gray slammed their hands together and formed magic circles. One red. One blue.
Natsu:"Fire dragon roar!" He yelled and blew out fire at Erigor.
Gray:"Ice make lance!" He yelled out and summoned hundreds of ice lances that soared towards Erigor. However, the dark wizard merely dodged the attacks with ease.
Erigor:"Tch." He grunted in annoyance before floating away. Erza looked at Natsu and Gray.
Erza:"You two! Go and stop him!" She ordered. Natsu and Gray began to question it at first, but Erza growled at them.
Natsu/Gray:"Aye!" They agreed in unison before running off. The rest of Erigor turned their attention onto Erza, Lucy, Happy, and me. I went to form my magic circle, but Erza stopped me.
Erza:"No. Save your magic in case." She ordered, and I nodded. Erza and Lucy then began to deal with the dark guild.
Erza requipped and captivated the men with her body. Lucy summoned Cancer, and that crab spirit gave everyone a haircut of doom. Erza then finished everyone off with her Heavenly armor. It did the trick against those low level wizards, but I knew it took a toll on her. Especially after using that magic powered car.
Erza:"Heaven's wheel!" She shouted with fury and sent out hundreds of swords. They all slashed up the enemy. Then my eyes widened. She was out of magic. Erza requipped back to her default outfit and fell from the air.
Lucy:"Erza!" She cried out in terror. I jumped into the air and caught the redhead girl. My feet landed softly on the ground, and I set Erza down. She opened her eyes and looked at me tiredly.
Erza:"Guess I overdid myself." She said in a tired voice. I nodded.
"I told you." I reminded her. She cracked a smile and tried to get up. Exhaustion overwhelmed her. I stopped her from moving and set Erza down.
Erza:"(Y/n). I must fight. I must stop Erigor." She told me desperately. I shook my head.
"You've done enough for now, Erza. Just rest." I told her kindly. She eventually nodded before closing her eyes to rest. I turned to see Lucy watching nervously.
Lucy:"Is she going to be okay?" She asked nervously. I nodded and walked over to the rookie wizard. She looked into my eyes, and I stared at hers sternly.
"Watch over Erza and tie up those Eisenwald wizards. Happy will help." I told the blonde what to do and began to walk away.
Lucy:"Wait! What will you do?" She questioned. I stopped walking and glanced back over my shoulder. Images of dead innocents began flashing in the setting around me. Even though they weren't real, it doesn't mean that it won't become a reality. I turned back around and spoke.
"I'm going to save lives by taking one." I responded in a cold tone before going to look for Erigor. Gray and Natsu were already searching inside the station, so I decided to look outside.
I stepped out to the top balcony and saw a large crowd formed in front of the station. This was bad because Erigor could play the flute and kill these people instantly. However, my gut suggested that he wasn't going after that measly goal.
Erigor:"Looks like Erza finally sent her boyfriend." I heard the wizard's voice come from behind me. I turned around to see Erigor floating in the air. Wind magic.
"Erigor. Let's just talk this out. I don't feel like fighting." I offered the deranged wizard. He began to cackle evilly. No doubt amused by my offer.
Erigor:"Right. What if I feel like fighting?" He questioned with a smirk. I shrugged and pulled out my book. He fell to the ground in shock.
"I don't know. Read?" I said with uncertainty. He popped back up and aimed his scythe at me.
Erigor:"Stop toying with me you brat!" He shouted in anger. I saw his hand glow with a magic circle. This made me sigh.
"Fine. You asked for it." I replied and closed my book. Erigor then aimed his hand at me.
Erigor:"Wind slicer!" He yelled out and sent jets of air at me that could rip my skin to shreds. However, I dodged them with ease, but the air circled around and attacked me at different angles. Instead of dodging them again, I caught the air slicers.
Erigor:"What?!" He cried out in disbelief. I dissipated the air and clenched my fist together.
"You're going to need to do better than that if you want to beat me." I taunted the evil wizard. Erigor's eye twitched in anger before he flew away from the station and laughed.
Erigor:"If that won't cut you up, then this will! Wind wall!" He formed the giant spell. A tornado surrounded the building, as the onlookers all ran away in panic. If someone were to try and go through this, it would rip them to shreds.
"Erigor. Why are you doing this?" I questioned. Erigor laughed before explaining.
Erigor:"It's to make those people who think they can strip us of our power pay." He sneered and began to fly away. I was about to chase after him, but remembered about my friends. If they were to attempt to break out, it would kill them. I began heading downstairs to warn the group.
Timeskip brought to you by chibi (Y/n) eating cake with chibi Erza...
(Erza POV):
"Damn it!" I yelled in frustration and gripped my injured arm. It was the result from an earlier attempt to break out of this wind barrier. Not even Natsu or Gray could beat their way through it with their magic.
I looked over at Lucy who was attending to the injured Kageyama. He was the only one who could reverse this spell. I hope. The fate of our master depended on it. Suddenly, (Y/n) appeared.
"(Y/n)!" I cried out with relief and ran over to him. He was about to say something, but I pulled him into an embrace.
(Y/n):"What's going on?" He question in a confused tone. I buried my face in his chest to hide my worried expression.
Lucy:"We looked everywhere for you, but couldn't find you." She answered the question for me. I finally let go and looked up at (Y/n). He scratched his head.
(Y/n):"Sorry about that. I was figuring a way out of this wind wall." He explained himself. I looked at him with hope. If anyone here besides Kageyama could do it, it was (Y/n).
"Did you?" I asked with hope. He nodded.
(Y/n):"Yeah, but there is one problem." He answered, and I began to worry.
Natsu:"What's that problem?" The dragon slayer mage asked curiously. (Y/n) sighed before looking at all of us grimly.
(Y/n):"I can get past this barrier without a problem. However, bringing someone else is another story. I can control the wind element, but I've only mastered it for me. Bringing another person is very risky." He explained himself. The air grew tense. I wanted to not allow anyone to fight Erigor alone, but it might have to happen.
"Then do it." I told (Y/n) sternly. Everyone looked at me in shock. Only (Y/n) remained calm. I looked at the (s/c) mage with confidence.
"Go and stop Erigor." I told him with complete faith in his abilities. He nodded and walked over to the wind wall. However, his friends stopped him.
Natsu:"Wait." Natsu was the first to stop (Y/n). (Y/n) turned to look at his friend.
Natsu:"Don't let him hurt our master or anyone else." He said to his friend with a grin. (Y/n) nodded. Then Gray spoke.
Gray:"I know we may not always see eye to eye, but you got this." He supported his rival. (Y/n) then turned to Lucy. She ran over and hugged him.
Lucy:"Please come back safe." She said in a shaky tone. (Y/n) returned the gesture and rubbed her back.
(Y/n):"Don't worry, Lucy. I'll be back to read your novel." He assured he young girl before letting her go. Lucy sniffled and nodded. Natsu and Gray gave him a thumbs up before (Y/n) continued to the wind wall. He stood in front of it, but looked back.
(Y/n):"I'm going to protect master. No one hurts Fairy Tail." He stated with rare determination before stepping through the barrier. I saw his silhouette behind the wall before it faded away. I turned away from my friends and held my chest with worry.
'Please be safe, (Y/n).' I thought to myself and began to formulate a plan to aid him.
(Y/n) POV:
I immediately began dashing after Erigor at high speeds. I utilized the wind magic I gathered while passing through that wind wall. The air around me was manipulated and amplified my speeds. I followed the railroad to that led to the town where Makarov was.
Even though I didn't have the keen sense of smell that Natsu had, I was a good tracker when it came to dark magic. Erigor was oozing with it.
I located the man flying through the sky at high speeds. The last of my air supply was about to run out, so I manipulated the air around me and flew up to the oblivious wizard. I pulled back my fist and swung at his face.
Erigor:"What the-" He was cut off with my knuckles slamming into his face. The dark wizard spiraled through the air violently before recovering. His eyes widened in shock when he saw me.
Erigor:"H-How did you get through?" He asked with a fearful tone. I cracked my knuckles and stared at him dead in the eye.
"I figured you would already know. Especially when it came to my reputation." I answered nonchalantly. His eyes widened with fear.
Erigor:"D-Don't tell me y-you're..." He trailed off as the sky began to darken. Thunder rumbled and the wind began to pick up. The water far below us flew into the air. Embers began to form all around me.
"I am (Y/n) (L/n). Also known as the Elemental Demon Slayer." I stated. Lightning flashed all around us, and loud thunderclaps filled the air. The elements began to bend to my will. Erigor was dead.
