"When's your birthday?"

"Archie, that is a stupid question."

"How?"

Nameless stared at Archie for a minute, giving him time to process what he just asked. After a while, Archie's face went red with realization.

"Oh. Wait, then how do you know how old you are?"

"Apparently I told the person driving the car my age before we crashed, so the doctors knew I was 12. When the new year comes I just consider myself one year older."

"Oh." Archie hummed. "That sucks."

"I guess it does." Nameless agreed. It was a Saturday afternoon, a whole week since little Jay's hazing fiasco, and the two were sitting in the living room as they waited for Jay to come downstairs. The trio were going to go go-kart racing but it wasn't Nameless' idea. He wanted to hang out with Archie and although he really did care for Jay, he was kind of upset that he was tagging along. Archie and Nameless hadn't gotten any alone time since last week because they'd both been so busy.

Archie was the one who suggested they take Jay out, considering the pictures from his hazing night got leaked throughout the school and he'd been having a tough time. Nameless appreciated his kindness but at the same time...

He really wanted some alone time.

"What are you going to do after high school?"

"I do not know. I have spent so long thinking about the past I have not really considered the future. It is too late for me to apply to colleges and I lack certain credentials to get into one. I do not think I can even apply for a job or a license since, legally, I still do not have a name," Nameless yawned. "What is with all the questions today?"

"No reason, I just realized that I don't really know much about you." Archie shrugged.

"You do. You know the important stuff."

"Like that you read books, love lucky charms, and hate Reggie?"

"I do not hate Reggie I just do not like him most of the time." Nameless shrugged.

"But I feel like I should know more about you since we're dating." Archie whined.

"You do not know less about me than I know about me. Everything I know, you know."

"Right," Archie sighed. "I keep forgetting. I know it sounds stupid that I keep forgetting about your amnesia but I do, like all the time. And it's not because I'm not listening, it's just because I don't see you in that way. I know my questions must be pretty insensitive."

"It is fine. It is not like you mean to upset me." Nameless waved off.

Archie smiled at that. Nameless always handled things the same way, calmly and nonchalantly.

"You know what upsets me though?"

"What?" Archie hummed.

"I will never get to hear you say my name. We are dating, but I will never get specifically addressed by you."

"I mean, there's always pet names?" Archie suggested.

"Pet names? That sounds demeaning."

"No," Archie laughed. "Pet names are like 'baby' or 'honey'."

"Oh, then in that case no. Those are so cliche."

"Okay, then I won't call you any of those. See, this is what I mean by knowing things about you." Archie pointed out.

"Well I want to know why Jay is taking so long. He is usually up pretty early." Nameless said before getting up off of the couch and swiftly making his way up the stairs.

Jay's room was the last room down the hallway. It was probably the smallest room out of all five bedrooms and it was the room Jay had gotten moved to when Carry was adopted. Nameless had never been in his room before, but then again no one really had accept for Jay. The door was open and Nameless took that as a invitation to enter despite his own strict rules regarding his bedroom.

Jay didn't even see him come in. He was sat on the bed with his laptop in his lap, his face sullen as his eyes flickered across the screen. The glow of the laptop illuminated his face, casting shadows and emphasizing the bags surrounded his dark brown eyes that almost looked black lately. He looked so different, and Nameless couldn't believe how someone could change so much in a week.

The boy took a step out of the room and knocked this time. Jay looked up and quickly slammed his laptop shut, offering a small smile. It was obviously fake.

"We are ready whenever you are," Nameless said softly as he walked in and sat next to him on the bed.

"Okay. I just have to brush my teeth and my shoes are downstairs." Jay said quickly, moving his laptop under his pillow and staring at Nameless expectantly.

"You seem tired. We do not have to go if you do not want to. We can stay here." Nameless suggested, snapping himself out of his selfishness. David was off somewhere with Carry, Sabrina was off on another airplane to who knows where, and Mike was at the basketball court with his friends although he sucked at the sport.

"I am tired actually," Jay admitted. "But you two should still go."

"What is the fun in that? We picked racing because you said you had never been."

"You remember me saying that?" Jay raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Why would I not?"

"I don't know. It was such a small detail."

"Well I also know that your birthday is in a few weeks."

"Yeah," he frowned. "I have my first basketball game that day. It's just a scrimmage but it's still gonna take hours."

"Why do you sound so upset about it?"

"I hate basketball." He mumbled.

"No you do not."

"Yes I do. I want to stay home I don't really feel like going out with you guys I'm sorry." Jay said abruptly, but regretted it when he could've sworn he saw hurt flash across his brother's face.

"Okay." Nameless said and left it at that. "Call me if you need me." He said as he got up and exited the room.

No Name's giggles filled Archie's bedroom as Archie placed kisses on him softly, coloring his cheeks and his nose pink. The redhead's arms were secured around his pretty boyfriend, filling the space around them with warmth only the two could create, and Nameless felt as if this was bliss. Every moment he spent with Archie was bliss.

"The more you giggle the more I'm going to keep going." Archie chuckled against his skin.

"I hate the word 'giggle' so much." He groaned, trying to bring his hand to his mouth as he always did, but Archie stopped him.

"Stop doing that. I like the sounds you make."

"Stop being cute."

"If you could go anywhere, where would it be?" Archie asked softly.

"Here we go with the questions again." Nameless rolled his eyes.

"C'mon, tell me." Archie whined.

"Despite living in Seattle, I have never been to the Space Needle, or the art museum, or the pop culture museum." He admitted. "I would like to go there."

"Alright then get up."

"What?"

"We're going." Archie deadpanned, unwrapping his arms from around the boy and getting up out of bed.

"Right now?"

"Yes, right now."

"But I was comfortable." He groaned, flipping his body around and laying down on the bed he's grown use to over the past couple of weeks.

"Get up. You'll love the Space Needle. It's something I could picture you enjoying." Archie said excitedly as he put on his shoes.

"Five more minutes." He mumbled.

"Get up." Archie laughed, playfully spanking him, earning a surprised squeak from Nameless.

"Did you just slap my ass?"

"Yes. I did. Get up."

"I cannot believe that you are taking me to the space needle." Nameless groaned as he sat up.

"It'll be fun." Archie assured.

"It better be."

It was.

After careful consideration, I think I may actually write smut for this book. Like I'm really scared to try it because I haven't written smut since I was like 14 which CRINGE because I thought I knew everything about sex back then. Ugh. Disgusted. Let's not talk about that.

Seeing how their relationship progresses, even more so in the future, it's made me reconsidered my no smut rule. Like?? In my other books it didn't feel right, but Nameless and Archie just deserve it to me.

In circumlocution, Jarchie had sex but I didn't write about it because it didn't seem necessary as writing smut scenes for no other reason than to just fill up space with filth is one of my pet peeves.

Aberration they didn't have sex for obvious reasons lmfao

Meadow of flowers, honestly everyone wants me to write smut for them but out of the Jarchie books I've written, that specific Archie and Jughead ship is my least favorite out of all of the ones I've written. And that's kind of saying a lot. It's probably why I haven't updated it in a while. I wanted to try doing something different from my usual writing and make a strictly humor/texting book but I see I lack humor lmfao and there's not a real plot in the story it's just dirty jokes but it's my second most popular book.

I guess what I'm saying is that I think these two deserve a first time that's written in words. And I can't promise I'll be any good at writing it but I'm gonna try.
