The tour seemed to end as quickly as it had come about. Needless to say it had been a roller coaster of drama, including panic attacks, fainting, shouting, screaming, crying, spiked drinks and of course, getting trapped in a lift, all of which were caused by or involved me. I guess drama just tended to follow me around, whether I liked it or not. Not once had the boys complained though and I don't think I could have got on tour with a better band to be honest.
And the fact that Nathan was in that band, well, that just made the tour a hundred thousand million times better.
Well, after we'd made up that is.
But if I hadn't have come on the tour, then we might never have made up. I might never have even seen him ever again in my life and the prospect of us getting back together would have been virtually non-existent.
And if it wasn't for Max, I would never have had a chance of coming on the tour so I guess I have a lot to thank him for.
Before the boys went on stage on the last night, me, the Lawson lads and the TW boys all had a massive group hug in the corridor backstage. It was really sad because it was the last night but it was also nice to have one big hug because we'd become like one big family.
"Aw, Sophie's crying" Andy cooed as we pulled out of the hug and I tried to discretely brush the tears from my eyes.
"I'm not" I mumbled as Siva put his arm around me to comfort me.
"I don't know why you're crying" Tom smirked, "I'm sure Nathan will be dragging you round to the flat at every possible opportunity"
I didn't look at Nathan but I guessed that he either blushed or rolled his eyes at that comment.
"Yeah, you won't get rid of us" Max chuckled.
"Well, I'll miss you lot" I said to the Lawson boys. The four of them all aww'd dramatically and pulled me into a hug, "well apart from Andy and his really annoying Scouse accent" I teased, imitating Andy's Liverpool accent.
"Well, I won't miss you and Tom talking like this all t' time and missin' out' half o' words in a sen'ence" He shot back, imitating my northern accent quite well, though I woudln't admit that he did.
"That was shit" I muttered, making him chuckle.
"Well, I just wanna say a massive thank you to Lawson and Sophie" Jay began, "for being amazing support acts and putting up with us for this long"
Everyone aww'd at that too.
"And thanks to you lot for putting up with me" I added, "because I'm proper fucking annoying sometimes and I get really moody and I just attract drama"
The boys just chuckled at that.
"And I'm sorry for all the awkward tension between me and Nath at first" I smiled, making them laugh, "though I'm sure it was more awkward for me and Nath than it was for you lot"
"I kinda miss that awkwardness, I liked making it even more awkward" Tom smirked, "though don't worry, I'l still be taking the piss out of you all the time"
Great, I can't wait
"Guys, can I just say something?" Nathan said seriously, catching everyone's attention. I looked up to where he was stood next to me and waited for him to say something really heartfelt and emotional and deep about how he's gonna miss the tour and all the memories we've had, etc, etc.
He didn't. In fact, he didn't say anything at all. As I was busy waiting for him to say something that I didn't even have time to react when he turned to me and cupped my face with his hands. Before I could even realise what he was doing, his lips were on mine.
For one split second, my heart did a little flip before I realised what he'd done.
He'd won.
Sneaky. Little. Shit.
I pushed him away quickly whilst all the boys jeered, Nathan just smirking at me like he'd just been given a free Lamborghini.
"Eugh, you fucking dick!" I half exclaimed, half groaned, making his smirk even wider.
"Well done, mate" Max chuckled, patting Nathan's shoulder.
"And don't you dare say that that doesn't count" Nathan grinned at me, "because it does and there were plenty of witnesses"
"I can't believe you've done that" I grumbled, "You couldn't have just waited like, two hours for the tour to end?"
I'd done so well. At least once every day since I'd enforced the 'no kissing' rule, Nathan had tried to kiss me, and even though he'd got pretty close a few times, I'd managed to catch him out.
Until now.
"Well, I said I'd do it when you weren't expecting it, didn't I?" he grinned, slinging his arm around my neck and pulling me into a playful headlock .
"Get off" I muttered, attempting to shove him away from me, but failed as he kept a tight hold. He pressed a sweet kiss to my temple but I was determined to be in a mood with him now to get revenge for that kiss.
"Are you in a mood now?" Nathan questioned, with that devilish grin still plastered across his face. I didn't reply.
"Soph?" he asked again, chuckling to himself.
"Sorry, can you hear that?" I asked the rest of the boys, making them smile, "it's like a whiny little rodent just nagging at me in my ear"
"Love you too" Nathan laughed.
The Lawson guys and I were allowed to watch the lads set from backstage seeing as it was the last night. I must say, it was hard to stay mad at Nathan when he kept sending me sly winks every now and again. He acts so bloody innocent but when he gets on that stage he turns into a complete flirt, and then he wonders why thousands of fangirls are after him.
After the show, the boys insisted on celebrating the tour by going out and getting drunk. Everyone was going including all the crew and even the management team, as well as Tom and Siva's girlfriends, Nareesha and Kelsey, too because they'd been to see the show. I was quite tired but I didn't wanna miss out on the party. I knew that I would be made to go with them anyway and hopefully the alcohol would wake me up a bit.
Or that was what Jay said anyway.
When we arrived at the club, the lads bought everyone's drinks and we took over three booths because there was so many of us. I sat with Kelsey and Nareesha on one side of me, because they wanted another girl to talk to, and Nathan, because he had barely left my side since he'd come off stage. I was still trying to not be nice to him but I was caving. It wasn't my fault; he kept kissing the side of my head and dragging his fingertips up and down my arm and then his fingers would find the ends of my hair and start playing with them. It wasn't helping with my tiredness either because his actions were soothing and sending me to sleep.
Most of the lads wandered off at some point to go and chat up girls or get more drinks or whatever, which just left me, Nathan and Nareesha and Kelsey, who were engrossed in what I think was a conversation about shoes. Nathan's arm was resting on the back of the sofa thing we were sat on and his index finger was drawing circles on my upper arm. I realised that this was the first time we'd been out together properly in a public place and acted like old Nathan and Sophie since we'd made up. It felt weird because I wasn't really used to it but it reminded me of old times and it kinda felt ike nothing had changed, even though everything had changed.
"You know" Nathan said loudly in my ear so he could be heard over the music, "It's the end of the tour now"
"And?" I shrugged, though I knew what he was getting at
"And that means we can put a label on it" he smiled.
"I don't know if I wanna put a label on it now" I teased, "I mean, I might have done if you'd hadn't kissed me before"
He grinned and shook his head.
"You're just annoyed because I won"
"You didn't"
"I did" he smirked, "I got my kiss"
"You didn't because if you hadn't have kissed me then, I'd probably be kissing you right now" I argued, "and it would be really good kiss with like, tongues and lip-biting and stuff, but no. You couldn't wait so you got one shitty little kiss that lasted like, two seconds"
He just laughed, before brushing his nose along the underside of my jaw and pressing his lips against my neck.
"We could still have that really good kiss though" I could literally feel his smirk against my skin.
"The rule 'no label, no kisses' still applies" I retorted.
"We could put the label on now" he suggested, raising an eyebrow.
"We're not doing it now" I said, shaking my head, "I can hardly hear you, and I'm tired and I've had alcohol, I don't wanna agree to something I'll regret in the morning"
He just shook his head in a way that said 'you're just doing this to annoy me'.
Yeah Nathan, I am.
"We can talk about it tomorrow" he said, his lips brushing my ear, "but for now, we can dance"
He stood up and held his hand out for me. I rolled my eyes but took it anyway, letting him drag me onto the dancefloor. We stayed near the edge of the crowd so we were close to the booth and had more space. He grabbed my other hand and started to move me from side to side. I just stared at him blankly, making him roll his eyes. He lifted his arm up and twirled me around before takng both my wrists in his hands and moving them behind his neck, before his hands fell to my hips, gently pulling me against him.
"Come on Soph, you've gotta dance with me" he smiled, using his hands to sway my hips in time with the music. I just let him move me because I couldn't be bothered and I liked the way he tried to dance along with me. The DJ changed the song that was playing so that it seamlessly interlinked with another one; a remix of Can We Dance by The Vamps. I'm a bit of a The Vamps fangirl so I smiled at the song choice.
"I talk a lot of shit when I'm drinking, Sophie" Nathan sang to me in my ear, "I'm known to go a little too fast, don't mind all my friends I know they're all crazy, but they're the only friends that I have. I know that I know you" He sang instead of the real lyrics, making me smile, "But I'd like to skip the small talk and romance, that's all I have to say so Sophie, can we kiss?"
"No, we can't" I replied bluntly.
"It was worth a try" he shrugged. with a smile, nuzzling his face into my neck and kissing the spot below my ear. He mumbled something else and though I felt the small vibration against my skin, I didn't quite catch what he said.
"What?"
"I love you" he said into my ear, I bit my lip to suppress the smile pulling at my lips.
"I love you too" I replied, "but it's not getting you a kiss yet"
"Yet?" He smirked, raising one large eyebrow, "that sounds promising"
"Well, you'll have to keep on my good side, won't you?"
"I'll be on any side of you that you want me to be" he grinned. I stared at him blankly.
"That's not keeping you on my good side, Nath"
***************************************
The next morning when I woke up, we were already halfway home. I was sad about the tour ending but I would definitely be glad to sleep in my own bed again. I was also excited about the prospect of Nophie officially returning to my life.
After all their hard partying last night, needless to say that not one of the lads were up or awake when I was. I slid out of Nathan's bed as quietly as I could so no one was disturbed and made my way to the kitchen. There wasn't much food because no one thought there was any point in buying loads more food when the tour was ending anyway, but I managed to find some bread and half a tin of beans, so beans on toast it was.
Around half an hour later, I was scrolling through twitter when Max stumbled down the aisle into the living room.
"You look so fresh" I smirked as he rubbed his eyes tiredly. He made a grunt in response and flopped down on the sofa next to me. Then he groaned and lied down, his head in my lap.
"Are we nearly home?" he mumbled.
"Dunno" I shrugged, looking out the window and seeing nothing but road, "we're on a motorway if that helps"
"It doesn't"
Me and Max chatted for a while about nothing in particular. None of the other boys seemed to arise from their sleep, even when we reached my block of flats.
"We're here, Sophie" our driver shouted from the front.
"Home sweet home" I sighed, pushing Max off me. He stood up with me seeming more awake than before and I grabbed my bag and my guitar. Then Max came with me outside as Dave was pulling my suitcase from the luggage compartment at the side of the bus.
"Have you got everything?" he asked like a dad.
"I think so"
"If you have forgot anything, I'm sure Nath will bring it to you" Max smirked.
"Are they all still asleep?" Dave asked.
"Yeah" me and Max nodded.
"Typical" he muttered.
"We could wake them up to say bye but there's not much point" Max chuckled, "you'll be seeing us all the time anyway"
As Dave handed me my suitcase, a northern voice was heard from the steps of the tourbus.
"Why've we stopped?" Tom asked groggily. I looked up to see him stood in the steps of the tour bus, wearing only a pair of boxers and nothing else.
"Do you even own clothes?" I retorted.
"We're dropping Sophie off" Dave said, answering Tom's question.
"Were you going without even saying goodbye?" he asked.
"You were all asleep" I said flatly l as he pulled me into a hug, "and I don't really need to say bye"
"I know" he smirked, "I'm sure somebody will be having you over to our flat all of the time"
I blushed, though no one could actually see because my face was buried in his neck.
"It's been fun having another northerner on the tour" Tom said, squeezing me tight.
"Mate, I'm northern" Max argued.
"Yeah but I don't like you" Tom teased. I pulled away from him and Max smiled at me, pulling me into a tight hug too.
"Thank you so much, Max" I said quietly.
"For what?"
"For getting me on the tour"
"You got yourself on the tour" he shrugged.
"Yeah, but I wouldn't have if you hadn't given me the opportunity" I argued, "and no one would hear my music and me and Nath still wouldn't be speaking"
I pulled away and he just gave me a smile, before I grabbed my suitcase, my bag and my guitar.
"I'll see you later, guys" I said, waving a bye to Max, Tom and Dave. I'd already said bye to the crew and the Lawson guys before we'd left because I knew I wouldn't get another chance to.
The lads, on the other other hand, well, I definitely won't be hearing the last of them, Nathan especially, when he wakes up to find I'm already at home.
Oh well, he'll get over it.
I made my way into the building with all of my stuff, which proved a difficulty when I had to carry it all up three flights of stairs. Some random guy even barged past me and didn't even apologise, never mind offer to help me like a gentleman, so he pissed me off a bit. I was out of breath by the time I reached the flat and I didn't even have my key so I had to wait for somebody to answer, which took four minutes.
"Finally" I muttered as Chloe opened the door, "I've been stood here for-"
I was cut off as Chloe practically jumped on me, squeezing me so hard I couldn't barely breathe.
"Ohmigod ohmigod!" she squealed, "we've missed you so so much"
"I've missed you too" I replied, my voice muffled by her shoulder.
"Who is it?" I heard Gabby ask. Chloe pulled away to reveal Gabby stood behind her in what I recognised as one of Jack's hoodies. She grinned and pulled me into a massive hug too.
"We've missed you"
"I know" I chuckled, "I've been told"
"You need to tell us about everything that's happened on the tour" she said, pulling away and grabbing my suitcase for me, the three of us making our way into the flat I hadn't been in for what felt like years.
"And you need to tell us every single detail about you and Sykes" Chloe exclaimed.
"Oh my God, yes" Gabby agreed, "I've been dying to know what's happened ever since you sent us that selfie of you in bed"
"Well..." I began, "I'm really fucking tired and can't be arsed talking about it now"
"No, we want to hear everything"
"Chloe, I've had like five hours sleep and I feel like I'm gonna drop" I sighed, "just let me sleep for a bit and I'll tell you later on"
They both huffed but didn't argue with me, letting me drag my stuff into my room. I placed my guitar on its stand and chucked my bag on the floor, before flopping down on my bed.
"Ah, I've missed you, bed" I mumbled into my pillow, hugging it.
"Weirdo" Gabby muttered, placing my suitcase down next to my bag.
"So are you and Nathan together again?" Chloe asked, clearly gagging to know the answer.
"Chloe, I said I'll tell you later" I yawned, clearly indicating I was tired.
"But are you together? Yes or no?" she asked impatiently.
"No" I replied seeing her face drop, "I mean, not yet, we decided to wait until after the tour, we're probably gonna sort it out soon"
She breathed a sigh of relief.
"And have you like, done it yet?" Gabby questioned, raising her eyebrows auggestively
"For gods sake, I'll tell you later"
"Is that a yes?"
"It's a 'no, we haven't'"
"Have you kissed though?" Chloe asked.
"... Maybe" I mumbled, making her grin, "now let me sleep"
"Eeeep! Nophie kisses" Chloe sang excitedly as she skipped out of my room, Gabby following her.
And yes, Chloe did just say 'eeeep'
I pulled my leggings and sweatshirt off, before replacing them with a large baggy t-shirt and placing my glasses on the small table next to my bed. Then, I climbed into my comfy bed, threw my duvet over my body and drifted off within minutes.
It must have been around two hours, or so my clock said, later when I was woken up by the sound of muffled voices coming from somewhere else in the flat. I scrunched up my face in annoyance, turned my body over and snuggled into duvet in an attempt to fall back asleep again.
That was quickly ruined by the sound of someone opening my bedroom door. I grunted as a way of letting them know to piss off.
They didn't.
"Did you think it was alright to leave without saying goodbye to me?" Nathan asked. I opened one lazily to see him smirking down at me.
"Well, it's not like I was never gonna see you again" I mumbled, "and I knew you'd come and start whinging at me anyway, you clearly can't leave me alone"
I felt him climb over me before lying down on the bed next to me, his arm falling over my duvet covered torso.
"Go away, I want to sleep" I muttered, closing my eyes
"Well, I want to talk" he replied, nuzzling his face into my neck.
"About what?" I asked innocently.
"You know what" he said, "because you've been putting it off since last night, which means that you've either changed your mind about it... or you're just doing it to wind me up"
A smirk tugged at my mouth at that.
"Did it work?"
He hesitated for a moment, "...No"
My smirk got bigger.
He tightened his arm around me, rolling me over so I was lied on my back looking up at his slightly blurred face. I squinted my eyes before reaching over to grab my glasses from my bedside table. I slid them on, his features becoming sharper and more defined.
Beautiful.
"So?" he asked, arching an eyebrow.
"So..."
"Well" he began, "it's the end of the tour... and I said that after the tour, we could put a label on it"
"Right, well, put a label on it then"
"I think you should ask me" he smiled.
"I'm not asking you anything" I scoffed.
"Yeah, but I asked you last time" he argued, "and I said I loved you first last time and you said it first this time, so it makes sense for you to ask me"
"I'm not asking you anything" I repeated.
"Well, I'm not gonna ask" he smirked.
"Well, neither am I" I shrugged stubbornly.
We fell into a silence as no one dared to back down and make the first move. My eyes flickered to Nathan's smirking face before I looked away again.
"Come on, Soph-" he sighed, pulling the duvet off me, a grin forming when he saw I had only a pair of knickers covering my bottom half, "Ay up, no pants on" he slid his arms around my torso and pulled me up, rolling us over so I was lied face down on top of him, "why don't you not be stubborn for once in your life?"
This is why I don't ask people out. Because I'm so stubborn and awkward and get embarrassed and feel stupid.
"Please Soph" he pouted, "do it for me"
Oh god, he's pulling that really cute sad face.
Dick.
I sighed, giving in, "Nath?"
"Yeah?"
Though I was looking anywhere but at Nathan, the smirk was clearly evident in his voice.
"...Would you like..." I sighed again, trying to mentally motivate myself to do it, "... to be my boyfriend?... Again"
There, I've said it.
"You've got to look me in the eyes when you say it" he chuckled. I groaned and looked at him.
"Doyouwannabemyboyfriend?" I mumbled quickly as I looked him in the eye.
"Say it properly" he smiled.
"I just did!"
"No, you didn't"
"For fuck's sake, do you wanna go out with me or not?" I grumbled, pulling my face.
"Oh, I thought you'd never ask" he grinned.
"I've just asked you three times" I deadpanned.
"Well, if you're so desperate to have me" he teased, ignoring my comment, "then I suppose I could be your boyfriend... again"
Finally.
I managed to suppress the smile that was threatening to appear on my face because I didn't I want to give him the satisfaction after he'd just made me ask him out.
"You don't even look happy about it" he chuckled, making the smile just start to pull at the corners of my mouth.
"I'm not" I joked, "you've just made me ask you out because you're too scared to do it yourself"
He smiled at me, his deliciously green eyes piercing into mine.
"So boyfriend" he said, pointing to himself, "girlfriend" he pointed to me, "that's a label, right?"
I didn't reply, just cupped his face in my hands and crushed his lips against mine because, though I'd been the one to impose the kissing ban, I was absolutely dying to kiss him. I felt him smile into the kiss, causing me to mirror his actions, before his hands slid from my waist, over my hips and down to the backs of my thighs, though I didn't miss the small squeeze he gave to my bum on the way. I didn't care. I hadn't had a kiss like this for two and a half years and I could feel my sexual frustrations bubbling up within the first few moments of the kiss. All cares had gone out of the window so I licked his bottom lip. His mouth parted to let me in and as my tongue met his, a small groan escaped his throat and was caught in my mouth.
Shit, I'd forgotten how sexy that groan was.
My fingers slid from his cheeks and threaded into his hair, tugging gently at the locks whilst he gripped tighter around my thighs. I caught his bottom lip between my teeth, dragging it out for a moment before he quickly crushed his lips against mine again.
"Soph, do you-" Gabby was halfway through flinging my door open before she cut herself off short, "oh lord, that was fast"
I pulled away from my boyfriend (sorry, I had to say that) and looked up to my doorway to see Gabby still stood there.
"Do you want a sandwich or anything?" she asked casually, reminding me of Regina George's mum in Mean Girls. Do you guys want anything? Some snacks? A condom? Let me know...
"Gabs, go away" I muttered.
"I'll have a sandwich if you're offering" Nathan replied, just as casually as Gabby. I pulled my face at him as if to say 'don't encourage her' but he didn't take any notice.
"What do you want? Me and Chloe are gonna nip to the shop so.."
"Er, just get me something with ham or chicken on it" Nathan shrugged, whilst I let out a breath and propped myself up with my elbows resting on Nathan's chest "or if they've got tuna I'll have that"
"Christ, will you make your bloody mind up?" I muttered, before turning to Gabby, "and don't get him tuna, his breath will smell"
They both rolled their eyes.
"Do you want the usual, Soph?"
"Yeah"
My usual is basically just anything that tastes good; I'm not fussy.
At that moment, Chloe's head peered round the door next to Gabby. She pulled an 'awww' kind of face when she saw me and Nathan, scrunching her nose up.
"Now, we'll be gone for ten minutes so I want you to behave yourselves" Gabby said playfully, pointing her finger at us, "no sexytime in any places you shouldn't be"
"We know what you two are like" Chloe grinned.
"And seeing as you're awake and Nath's here, you can tell us everything when we get back" Gabby added.
I gave her a sarcastic smile as she left the room, hearing Chloe excitedly ask 'were they kissing?' before the door shut completely.
"God, they're so annoying" I muttered.
"Try living with Tom Parker" he chuckled.
"I have done for the past two months" I retorted, "never again thank you"
He smiled before moving his hands from their place on my thighs to slid tightly around my torso. My head fell on his chest and I let my eyelids drop, the sound of his heartbeat sending me back to sleep.
"Soph?" Nathan asked quietly, bringing me straight back to consciousness just before I fell out of it.
"Mm?" I hummed.
"Look at me" his voice was soft.
I lifted my head up and opened my eyes to find his sparkling green orbs staring right back at me.
"If we're gonna be in a relationship again" he began, his face serious, "you have to promise me that you won't ever keep things from me, especially things like... Like what happened"
I nodded, never breaking eye contact with him, "I promise"
"And I promise that I will never let anything like that happen to you ever again" he replied, "I'm gonna treat you like a princess for the rest of your life, Sophie, because you don't deserve anything less"
I swear tears actually rose in my eyes but I refused to let them fall.
"That was horribly cheesy" I mumbled quietly to try and disguise the fact that his words had made me really emotional.
"Well, you know me" he chuckled, before rolling over so the roles were reversed and he was lied on top of me, "anyway, we've got ten minutes before they get back"
"And?"
"There's a lot we could do in ten minutes" he smirked, brushing his nose along the underside of my jaw.
"There's a lot you could do in ten minutes" I corrected playfully, "some of us can last longer than ten minutes"
"Oh, how I've missed your charming sense of humour" he muttered sarcastically against the skin of my neck.
"It wasn't a joke" I grinned with a teasing tone to my voice.
"Stop killing the mood" he sighed, between pressing sweet kisses up my neck. I didn't reply, mainly because the feel of his lips had sent my heartbeat skyrocketing and my head almost felt dizzy, "when I said that there's lots we could do, I meant catch up on all of the kissing that I've missed out on over the past few days because someone" he stopped as his lips reached the spot below my ear and lifted head up so his face was in line with mine, "...had to be stubborn and denied me of it"
"I didn't think you were that bothered about kissing me" I shrugged playfully, my fingers wandering to the baby hairs at the nape of his neck, "but you're only a boy, I don't suppose I blame you"
"I think you'll find I'm a man now" he smirked.
"Okay then" I replied, sarcastically and slowly.
"You're so much nicer when you don't talk" he said, his voice full of amusement.
"Let's not talk then" I mumbled, pulling his face down to mine, his lips finding mine again.
I won't bore you with the details but our make-out session indeed lasted the whole ten minutes that my flatmates were gone.
Well, I presumed that was how long they'd gone; I was way too distracted to keep a track of the time.
It was only the sound of the front door closing that caused Nathan to remove his lips from mine, much to my disappointment.
"They're back" he sang with a smile.
"Woo" I said flatly, making him smile.
"Nophie!" Chloe called, "can you please leave your love cave and get your sandwiches?"
Did she really just refer to us as 'Nophie'?
And my bedroom is not a love cave, thank you very much.
Nathan pulled the two of us off the bed and walked us backwards over to the door, constantly pressing short, sweet kisses to my lips with each step. When he reached the door, he turned around, lacing my fingers between his and pulling me through the flat to the kitchen.
"Right, chicken and bacon for Sophie" Gabby said, pulling my sandwich from the carrier bag she'd placed on the counter and tossing it to me, "Nice to see you've covered up" she muttered sarcastically as I looked down at my bare legs to see I was still only wearing the oversized t-shirt over my underwear, "and a ham salad for Nathan" she threw him his sandwich too, which he caught.
"Thanks Gabs, I'll pay you back" Nathan smiled.
"No need" she shrugged, "now you two go sit down on the sofa and then me and Chloe can interrogate you" she bossed, gently pushing us backwards. I rolled my eyes but complied anyway, knowing that I might as well get it over with now. I grabbed Nathan's hand again and dragged him over to the sofa. He sat down on it first, before pulling me down so that I was sat next to him with my legs set across his lap.
"Your butty looks nice" he mumbled as he opened his, his eyes flitting between my sandwich and his.
"It looks nicer than yours" I snorted as he picked a limp piece of lettuce from it and dropped it in the carton. I shook my head at his pouting face and took one half of his sandwich, swapping it with half of mine. He smiled and pressed a short, sweet kiss to my lips, before tucking into his sandwich. Gabby and Chloe walked in at that moment and placed themselves on the floor with their sandwiches.
"Right" Gabby began, "when I spoke to you when we came on the tour, you were literally crying on me because you loved him and thought he hated you-"
"Thanks for saying that in front of Nath" I breathed sarcastically, hiding my face in my hands whilst Nathan put his arm around me and rubbed my arm comfortingly. Gabby just ignored me and carried on.
"And the morning after, I received a selfie of the two of you in a bed"
"It was my bed" Nathan added.
"In Nathan's bed" Gabby corrected, "what happened?"
"Well, I told him what happened" I shrugged.
"You've spent the past two and a half years purposely not telling him what happened so what changed?"
"Well, we got stuck in the lift"
"I bet that was awkward" Chloe snorted, making me and Nathan smile.
"It was thanks, Chloe" Nathan chuckled.
"And I don't know, we just ended up having a fat ass argument" I told her, "and then I sorta... snapped and shouted it at him"
"And she threw her phone at my head" Nathan added, making Chloe snort with laughter.
"I didn't throw it at your head"
"Yeah, you did!"
"Well, I didn't aim for your head, I aimed for the wall and it just happened to hit the wall next to your head"
"Shut up!" Chloe exclaimed, leaning forward and resting her chin on her hands, "what happened next? Did you have lift sex?"
"No" Me and Nathan answered, shaking our heads at her, "it was very emotional and... stuff" I mumbled, not really wanting to get into the details of me breaking down and crying on Nathan.
"Then what?" Chloe asked excitedly, sounding very intrigued.
"Then the lift started working again and we got out"
"Then what?"
Jesus Christ.
"Then we saw Scott in the corridor" Nathan sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration as he recalled the memory, "and I got really pissed off-"
"Wait, what?!" Gabby exclaimed in shock, "what do you mean Scott was there?"
"He was working on the tour" Nathan told her, whilst I curled up further into his side, cringing. I hadn't exactly got round to mentioning that to Gabby yet.
"That prick was working on the tour?!" Gabby spat.
"I didn't wanna worry you" I mumbled, finding sudden interest in my fingers as they found Nathan's, playing with them, "and there wasn't really anything you could have done about it anyway"
"I could have found him and killed him!" she cried dramatically, "what if he'd tried-"
"But he didn't" I argued.
"But he could have done"
"But he didn't"
She huffed and flared her nostrils but didn't say anything else, whilst Chloe put down her sandwich and crawled over to the sofa.
"Poor Sophie" she mumbled, pulling me into a hug, "love you Soph"
"Love you too"
She pulled away whilst Nathan resumed his hold on my hand.
"We got him fired anyway, Gabs" Nathan said to try and make Gabby feel better, "I spoke to our tour manager about it and Max backed me up"
"Good" Gabby mumbled, "I just can't believe you didn't tell us, Soph... well, I can actually"
"I can't believe he was working on the tour" Chloe said, "that's like, an unbelievably cruel twist of fate"
So dramatic.
"But you getting on the tour with Nathan's band was like fate too, wasn't it?" she continued, sighing dreamily, "if you hadn't you would never have got back together, it's like you were meant to be because you're so perfect for each other"
I swear life is just one big fairytale to Chloe.
Though deep down, I like to think she's right.
"This ham salad sandwich is really grim, by the way" I told Gabby, completely changing the subject and making everyone chuckle.
"Yeah, this lettuce is going brown" Nathan added, holding up a piece of lettuce that was in fact, turning brown at the edges, only emphasising my point.
"Bloody hell, I won't bother getting you anything next time" Gabby muttered, whilst Chloe pouted to herself, clearly in a world of her own.
"This means I'm the only single one again" she announced randomly, probably not even listening to our conversation about sandwiches, "I hate that, I need someone to love me"
"Well, McGuiness is still available" I smirked.
"Oh shut up, he'd never go out with me" she sighed.
"Course he would, he thinks you're a beaut"
"What?" she asked, her eyebrows raising in surprise.
"He said to me that he thinks you are 'a beaut' and then he asked me for your twitter, which is why he followed you"
"Oh my God, he didn't, I can't even" she groaned dramatically, letting herself fall face first on the carpet, "I can't cope, I think I love him and his wonderous set of curls" she sat up, looking flustered, "did he really say that?"
I nodded, "And when him and the lads came round to the flat like ages ago, he was looking at that picture over there" I pointed to the picture of us three girls and Jack that was taken at some random nightclub a few moths back, "and when I told him that you didn't have a boyfriend, he said, and I quote, 'How? She's gorgeous'"
"Oh my God, he thinks I'm gorgeous" she breathed, rolling on her back and covering her face with her hand as it flushed bright pink.
"You are gorgeous" I told her.
"I think I'm actually in love with him"
"Did you even speak to him when we went to the tour?" Gabby asked.
"Well, he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek" Chloe grinned, "and then he said sorry when he accidentally walked into me"
God, that boy is clumsy.
"So that's a no then" Gabby tittered, rolling her eyes.
"Why don't you just DM him?" Nathan suggested, "you're both following each other on twitter"
"I can't DM him out of the blue for no apparent reason"
"Nath, he's your bandmate" I scoffed, "why don't you just introduce them?"
"Er, I can if you want Chloe" he shrugged.
"Yes! No! I don't know, I think I'd probably faint or cry or something if I saw him now knowing that he called me 'gorgeous', oh my God, I don't know what to do with my life, I need time to sort myself out and sort my life out and ugh, why is he such a beautiful man?" she rambled and collapsed dramatically flat out on the floor, her crazy fangirl side definitely coming out in full force. Gabby just rolled her eyes whilst I threw a piece of limp lettuce at Chloe, where it landed in her hair. In all her despair for Jay McGuiness, I don't think she even noticed.
"I hate boys so much but I love them, do you see my problem?" Chloe cried.
"Chloe, you need to stop going on tumblr" Gabby sighed.
"You've not even talked to him yet, Chlo" I smiled.
"Exactly! My feels are all over the place and I'm a mess! How am I going to cope if I actually talk to him in the flesh?"
Definitely too much tumblr.
After Chloe had calmed down a little and got over her emotional breakdown over Jay McGuiness, the four of us chatted for a bit which was nice because it felt like old times. After a short while, Nathan received a text from Tom asking him to go back to the flat. As I walked with him to the door, his arms wound around my waist from behind and his feet walked on the outside of mine until we reached the door, when he span me around in his arms to face him.
"You can come with me back to the flat if you like" he suggested, sliding his arms tighter around my waist.
"What? With no pants on?" I grinned, referring to my basically half naked attire as I slid my own arms around his neck.
"Well, I won't be complaining" he smirked, "and I'm sure the lads won't mind"
"Er, I think I'll have to refuse" I told him, "I'm gonna catch up with Gabs and Chloe tonight because I haven't seen them for so long"
"Okay" he nodded in understanding.
"And I've only just managed to get rid of those lads, I need a break" I half-joked, making him smile.
"Well, I can't say I blame you" he replied, "you should feel sorry for me"
"You should feel sorry for me" I argued, "Chloe's gonna be banging on about how hot she thinks Jay is all night"
"Oi!" I heard her call, making me and Nathan laugh.
"I'll text you later, okay?" Nathan said, pressing a brief kiss to my lips. I nodded and kissed him again, just because I couldn't resist.
"Can we hang out tomorrow?" I asked, needing something to make up for the fact that that night would be the first night that I'd slept alone since the two of us had become friends again.
"Course we can" he said with a small smile, "maybe I could take you on a proper date now that we're together, I'll have a think about where I can take you, somewhere nice... and don't worry, I'll make sure that we get some decent food" he smiled.
I grinned, "good"
He leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine once more, though the kiss was longer this time. He smiled against my lips and I felt my stomach tingle with butterflies.
However, the kiss was unfortunately interrupted when the front door opened next to us. We both pulled away and turned our heads to see it was Jack looking at us with raised eyebrows. Then he shook his head and muttered, "don't even know why I'm surprised" before walking past us to get to the living room.
"Does he always just walk into your flat?" Nathan chuckled.
"Yes, he does, despite the fact he doesn't fucking live here" I emphasised, making sure Jack heard the last part.
"I have a key thanks, McKinnon" he called back.
"Well, if it was up to me, you wouldn't" I replied.
"Well, it's not up to you, is it?" he shot back.
"I don't really miss him, you know" Nathan joked.
"I heard that" Jack called, making us grin.
"Like I said, I'll text you" Nathan told me, giving me one last kiss before he pulled away.
"See you later guys" he called to the other three in the living room.
"See ya" they called back, before Jack added, "I'll text you, mate"
Nathan agreed, before opening the door and stepping outside into the corridor.
"See you later" I smiled, giving him a wave as he walked down the corridor.
"Bye love" he replied, turning his head to flash me one last smile before he left. I shut the door quietly and turned to see Chloe grinning at me from the other end of the hall.
"Oh my God" she squealed excitedly, "I'm so so so happy for you"
She ran over to me and pulled me into a tight hug, whilst jumping up and down in her excitement. Normally, I would be rolling my eyes at her but because I was so happy, and hugged her back and joined in with her happy dancing.
"You're so cute and you're so perfect for each other" she cooed, "I love Nophie!"
I think she was more happy about me and Nathan getting back together than I was.
"Me too" I smiled.
"Nophie's back together!" she sang loudly, skipping back into the living room. I followed behind her, though not quite as energetically.
"Oh my God, yay!" Jack sang camply, acting exactly like Chloe. He stood up and started jumping along with her, clapping his hands like she was. Gabby and I just watched them in amusement and tried not to laugh.
"I love Nophie" Chloe smiled, starting to calm down slightly.
"Well, I love Nophie more" Jack argued, still putting on that incredibly camp voice.
"No, I love them more" Chloe argued, going along with his joke.
"No, I love them more"
"Jack, stop being a dickhead" I muttered, giving him a small shove.
"I just love Nophie soooooo much!" he grinned, pulling me into a headlock, "been shipping you guys forevs, totes my OTP"
"That was what I was gonna say" Chloe pouted.
Why do I not doubt that?
