Disclaimer

This is the last chapter for this book! I could cry, honestly.

Grace: I just wanna know if Bellamy is okay
Me: keep them apart for three more chapters

Someone make that a meme with the Kermit the frog one, the one where his darker self is telling him to do bad shit when he doesn't have to. Send it to me!

Emerson gives Grace a hard tug, his grip on her bicep never loosening. Every single inch of her body felt like it was on fire. Isaac's blood felt like acid on her skin, just waiting to burn her alive. It covered her cheek, her hands, her arms and her tank top.

"Hurry up," Emerson states. She could hear the sound of the drill whirring from down the hall. Her heart tightens as it speeds up. She desperately wants to fight against this. She wants to find a way out. But her energy is gone, now. There's no way she'll get out of this.

Not that she would ever show how tired she really was.

The two took their time walking towards the dorm. Emerson, who had been ordered by Cage Wallace to wait until Isaac died before taking Grace to try and get more information from her in the dorm, only held a slightly disturbed look in his eyes for a couple of moments, but then it was asked with over confidence.

When they reach the room, Cage is already waiting for them inside. He smiles at her. He turns to the other doctor, Dr.Haven if Grace remembered correctly, and nods his head. "Prep her. We need information and she has it."

"Grace?"

Grace's head snaps up to stare at the girl in shocked. Monroe? What the hell was she doing here? She's alive? She looks around, her heart dropping when she caught sight of not just her friends, but people from The Ark. People from Alpha Station. "Oh my god."

Grace's stomach twists when she notices the girl laying down on the table in front of her. Raven. Her head snaps to Cage. She couldn't worry about that now. She just needs to get time for the others that are still hiding in the mountain. "I will never tell you where he is. There's not enough torture in this world that will make me betray him."

Cage smirks. "We'll see about that."

Three guards grab at Grace's limbs to keep her from fighting. Two other guards unstrap a barely conscious Raven Reyes, already placing her on the table across the room. Dr.Haven turns his attention to Grace, a small smirk on his face. She glares at him, unable to stop the animalistic growl that passes her lips.

The guard behind her presses an electric baton to her back which causes a cry to pass her lips. Her knees buckle but the two guards that grip her biceps tightly don't allow her to fall.

"Get her on the table," Haven orders. The guards waste no time in lifting her up and placing her on the table. Grace shouts, struggling in their grip. The same guard from before presses the baton into her side, smiling in accomplishment as he body slacked. They took this time to strap her in tightly.

"No!" Grace could vaguely hear Miller and a couple others yelling out for them to stop. She's stuck, unable to move. Panic flares in her chest at the restraints, her already beginning to struggled against them. She feels her pants being ripped apart from the side, followed by a cool substance being placed on the skin there.

The sound of the drill nearing her thigh sends her into a full blown panic. Cage raises a hand for Haven to stop, but he only leans forward and towards Grace. It wasn't until then that she saw the blood dripping from his ear. Curtesy of Raven or one of the others, she assumes.

"Ready to tell us anything?" Cage asks, smirking. Grace leans up slightly, Cage smirking in amusement at how fast it actually took her to break. Grace sucks in a breath.

And then she spits on his face. "Fuck you."

Cage wipes the spit from his face as he steps back. His face is hard and his eyes are firm. "Proceed with the drilling."

The drill connects with the flesh on Grace's thigh and at first she just feels a slight discomfort. Then, the second it hits bone, Grace can't help but cry out. It's intense and it feels worse than if she combined all of her past wounds together. A shrill scream escapes her mouth, one she's ninety percent sure is able to be heard from the grounders outside of the mountain.

Cage Wallace came back almost twenty minutes later. They'd already taken marrow from her thigh and her hip, which they'd taken their sweet time doing as well. It was a definite torture, that was for sure.

"Take that one off the table," Cage instructs. Confusion and relief swim through the redhead.

"Sir, she hasn't given any information yet," Haven informs. Cage sends him a glare.

"We already know where they are," Cage growls. "Take her off the table. Now."

Grace barely has time to register who else he was putting on as hands start unbuckling her limbs. Everything on her left side hurt immensely and she vaguely hoped her heart would just stop so it could be over, but then her eyes would snap open and she wouldn't give them the satisfaction of killing her.

Exhaustion pulls down on her limbs as some guards attach her to some spare cuffs on the wall. They're right beside Harper at the end of the room and Grace has to use whatever energy she has left to keep herself upright. She pushes away the exhaustion as she sees Abby being placed on the table in front of her. "No."

"Grace," Harper whimpers. Grace turns her head slightly, her eyes brimming with tears at the sight of the heartbroken girl.

"Just hanging around," Grace grunts, pulling against the cuffs holding her against the wall to keep her body weight up. Harper sends her an incredulous look. "What? I joke around when I'm in pain. It's how I deal."

Harper doesn't say anything else. Instead, she returns her attention to Abby Griffin. Grace can't focus on anything that's being said behind her. Everything's a blur and she can feel the blood beginning to slide down her wrists. They were beginning to burn, already slicing open the wrists that just finished healing.

If she survived, she'd really have to get those fixed.

Grace tenses at the sounds of Abby's shrill screaming. Her right leg felt like it was on fire, especially when she had to place some of her weight onto it. She was just happy she got a break, even though it was selfish to be relieved that Abby was put on.

"We got another one," Grace could hear Lee's voice from behind her but she didn't have the energy to twist her head to see who it was. Lee was on their side, Isaac was sure of it, so whatever was happening had to be a plan of some sort. Or, at least she hoped that was the case.

Jasper moves into the spot next to her, Grace's heart stopping. "Damn it, Jordan. Where's Maya?"

Jasper doesn't answer her verbally, but with a small nod of his head she knows the girl is okay. At least one of them is, anyways. "Isaac?"

Grace shakes her head as Jasper places his hands above his head to block his restraints, but never putting them on. Grace can barely make the outline of a knife in his hands and a flare of hope sparks in her chest. She wasn't sure why. That little knife would do nothing.

Jasper moves from his spot a couple of minutes later, Cage noticing and yelling for someone to restrain him. Guards step towards him with gun but he merely holds out his knife. The sound of the alarm blaring is what stops everyone in their tracks.

The skin on the guards around them begins to burn, screams erupting from them. Grace let's out a shaky breath, keeping her vision on the wall in front of her. She can hear them slump to the floor, followed by Harper screaming out for Jasper to come back. Grace didn't bother. She knows how he feels and she knows he just wants to be there when Maya takes her last breath, just like Grace wanted with Isaac. She understood.

The doors to the dorm fly open and Octavia runs in. She's extremely different from the last time Grace saw her but she can't find herself caring because her best friend is alive and in front of her.

"Get the keys from the guards," Kane orders. Octavia does as she's told, quickly unlocking Kane.

"Octavia," Harper calls. "Grace can barely stand, you have to unlock her."

"I'm fine," Grace lets out, but she can feel Octavia already starting to unlock her cuffs. Grace turns and pulls the girl into a bone crushing hug, sighing in relief. She pulls away to allow Octavia to unlock Harper. Harper throws her arms around the three girls, pulling them both into tight holds. When she pulls away, Grace slowly turns around to see her people.

The redhead allows Octavia to leave her and start unlocking the others. Grace finds herself searching the crowd for Fox, her chest visibly deflating when she caught no sight of her. She didn't make it.

"Mom."

Grace's head snaps as she finds her blonde best friend a few feet away, pulling her mother into a tight embrace. Grace turns towards the door where she finally sees Bellamy, his eyes already focused on her. She limps towards him, him already advancing towards her in quick strides.

She let's out a small sob as he wraps his arms around her tightly, as if if he let her go she would disappear forever. His strong arms hold her close to him, his hot breath fanning her ear. She tugs him even closer if that was possible, ignoring the way she could barely breath because of it. "Oh, God. You're alive. You're here."

"I'm here," he mumbles into the skin on her neck. He pulls away, the relief on his face morphing into a sad and worried one. "I saw you on the table. You need to sit down."

"Just shut up and kiss me," Grace mutters, the hand currently playing with the curls on the back of his neck pushing him down. She pauses just before their lips touch, allowing him to make the move to actually kiss her. Just in case he didn't want to.

Bellamy presses his lips firmly against hers, moving slowly. Their noses nudge at each other awkwardly but neither of them can find themselves caring. Bellamy pulls away after a couple more seconds, his eyes flittering around to the other people around them. "Sorry, I just—"

"It's okay," Grace says quietly. She steps away from him, her gaze moving down to the blood still covering her hands and shirt. She swallows thickly. She had forgot about Isaac, just for a moment.

"Are you hurt?" Bellamy mumbles, his hands moving to her tank top. She shoves them away quickly and tries to ignore the flicker of pain that flicker through his big eyes.

"It's not mine," she whispers, her eyes filling with tears. "It's not mine."

Bellamy's eyes soften at this. He opens his mouth to say something when Kane makes his way over to them, clasping a hand down on Bellamy's shoulder. "You did good. Now let's get these people home."

"Yes, sir," Bellamy nods his head, already pushing Grace back and towards a table. "Not you. You stay here and keep pressure off of that leg."

"Bell—" Grace starts, but she's cut off when Octavia marches over.

"Where's Cage?"

A burning hatred fills Grace up at the mention of her torturer. "Dead, hopefully."

Hopefully.

Grace wasn't allowed to walk back to the camp. Camp Jaha, Bellamy had told her, was what they had named it. Or, well, before the man turned out to be alive.

Instead, she was placed on a stretcher so she wouldn't apply pressure to her leg. The stretcher was currently being held up by the Blake siblings.

"Put her down here," Bellamy nods at Octavia. Grace's brows furrow but she immediately gets up, having wanted to do so since the start of the trek back. Octavia doesn't seem as surprised by this, instead she merely smirks at her best friend.

"What's going on?" She asks the two siblings. Octavia sends her a wink before picking up her stretcher and disappearing into the camp with Lincoln, who Grace had pulled into a tight hug upon seeing. She didn't even realize she had missed him until she saw him again. Grace squeezes Raven's hand as she stalks past in a boy named Wick's arms, smiling softly at the girl.

"Grace!"

"No way," Grace whispers in astonishment, sending Bellamy a look of pure and utter shock. He smirks at her. Grace whips around just in time to see the girl bounding toward her in excitement. The little redhead pulls her sister into her arms, her face nuzzling into the white button down Bellamy had given her to change into. It was all he could do to get the blood off of her. "Avalon."

Avalon pulls away from her sister, her head turning to stare at Bellamy where he was leaning against the gate. She moves past Grace to throw her arms around his waist tightly. Grace's eyes widen in surprise as Bellamy merely ruffles her sisters fiery hair with a soft smile. "Thank you for saving her."

"I promised I would, didn't I?" Bellamy sends her a small grin. He looks back up at Grace with a soft smile. "Alright, kiddo. Think you can wait here for your sister and I to talk to Clarke?"

Avalon's nose crinkles in distaste at being called a kid but she nods her head. Grace squeezes the girls hand before Bellamy wraps an arm around Grace, his strength and height helping her keep her weight off of her leg. The two stop in front of Clarke.

"I think we all deserve a drink," Bellamy muses. Grace nods in agreement, nudging Clarke slightly when she doesn't respond.

"Have some for me," she replies. Grace's heart sinks. What was that supposed to mean?

"Hey, if we can get through this—" Bellamy starts.

"I'm not going in," Clarke whispers. Grace can't even turn to look at her without crying. She was leaving her again? After they finally found each other? She doesn't understand.

Bellamy turns to her. "Look, if you need forgiveness, I'll give that to you. You're forgiven," the three of them already know she's made up her mind but Grace has to try.

"Please come inside," Grace whispers, her eyes brimming with tears. This wouldn't be the first time she lost a friend, but it would be the hardest. Clarke had chosen to leave, the others hadn't. The redhead actually wasn't sure which hurt more.

"Take care of them for me," Clarke turns to the two. Grace feels as though her heart has been ripped up and shoved back inside of her. She couldn't believe she was really leaving them. Again.

"Clarke—" Bellamy starts.

"No." Clarke's voice is firm. Grace knows there's no changing her mind. "Seeing their faces everyday is just gonna remind me of what I did to get them here."

"What we did," Bellamy buts in. Grace takes a step back, feeling like this was a private conversation for the two of them to have. "You don't have to do this alone."

Clarke turns her attention to Clarke and then Camp Jaha. "I bear it so they don't have to."

Grace watches as Bellamy's face crumples. "Where are you gonna go?"

"I don't know," Clarke admits softly. Clarke turns and pulls Grace into a tight hug, kissing her non-bloodied cheek sweetly. Grace chokes back a sob as Clarke pulls away from her and does the same to Bellamy. "May we meet again."

"May we meet again, Clarkey," Grace mutters as she watches her best friend walk away from them both. Bellamy turns on his heel, his arm back behind Grace and helping her limp back towards he sister. They both send the eleven year old tight lipped smiles. Avalon connects her hand with her sisters and nods at Bellamy.

You're a Saviour, Grace Parker, she tries her best to remind herself of this as they all walk inside. Don't ever let yourself forget that.
