James POV
RILEY-Can you come get me?
JAMES-Yeah I'll be there soon
I leave the hospital and drive to the police station. I get out of my car and start walking towards building just as Riley walks out. I grab her and pull her into my arms.
"I'm fine." She says softly.
"I know." We slowly pull apart and walk to the car.
"The second time today, third time in two days that I had to tell that same story." She says smiling weakly.
"Yeah, but it will be worth it when he's in jail for doing what he did." I tell her. She nods.
"Can you maybe drive me back to his apartment? I want to get my stuff. It's not much, just a bit of clothes and stuff like that. If you dont mind I mean. If you do, it's no big deal, I'll just get my parents to drive me there after." She rambled on. I laugh.
"Riley, it's no big deal." She smiles and nods.
We get there, she gets her stuff, puts it in the trunk, and drive back to her house.
"Need help with it?" I ask her.
"No, I got it." She responds. I walk her to her door.
"Thanks." She says, smiling brightly.
"Don't mention it." I say. I'm about to walk away but quickly whip back around and blurt out, "Riley, I'm still really sorry about what happened with Beth!" She stares at me, than smiles weakly and nods.
"I know." She says quietly and walks into her house.
