POV Alexander.
After two days I finally healed completely. Dayanara managed to break three of my ribs with one push. I walked up the stairs towards my room. Nodding at one of my warriors but there was no sign of my mate.
'Gabriel, where is Dayanara?' I asked in the mind link.
'She hasn't left your room and there was a warrior placed outside the door.' He replied.
Gabriel and Mateo walked in. "She isn't here." I stated. We searched all around the house but there was no trace of her. Not in her room, not in my room. Not even underneath my desk like the last time.
~~~
After searching for her all day, we didn't find anything. I fell on my bed, clutching her favorite sweater and I sniffed it. I closed my eyes, ready to sleep but then I noticed another heartbeat.
I jumped up and focused my hearing, which led me to my closet. I walked towards the rack with my shirts and hoodies. I pulled them aside and there she was, curled up behind my clothes.
Her eyes snapped to mine and they teared up. "I'm sorry, Alexander. I'm so so sorry." She mumbled as I picked her up. I carried her to my bed and sat down, placing her on my lap.
"I'm okay." I assured, breathing in her scent. "How long have you been in there?"
"Since Gabriel left me alone in the room." She replied, not looking me in the eyes.
"You haven't eaten?!" I growled and she shook her head. I stood up and dragged her down the stairs. I got to the kitchen and started making her French toast.
"Here." I handed it to her. She mumbled a small thanks and started eating. "We're going shopping today."
"Why?" She asked.
"Because I want to and we also need groceries." I replied. "So go shower and get dressed."
She nodded and made her way upstairs. I wore blue jeans with a black shirt. Half an hour later, Dayanara was finished.
She was wearing a cropped white hoodie that you're supposed to lace up at the front and high waisted black jeans. With a pair of Adidas sneakers, that Mateo got for her birthday.
~~~
I drove us to the mall and we just walked around for a while. "I swear, it worked." I chuckled as we talked about the pickup lines that Gabriel used.
"I would feel slightly offended." She laughed. "What about you? Give me your best shot."
"Roses are red, violets are blue. I didn't know what perfect was until I met you." It was actually true, she is perfect.
"Are you a magician? Because when I look at you, everyone else disappears." She grinned.
"Are you a Pikachu because you're shockingly beautiful." I smiled.
"Mario is red, Sonic is blue. Press start to join and be my player two." She looked at me.
"You win." I nodded. "You definitely win and because of that, I'll buy you Subway."
"Yes!" She jumped up. "It's been three hours since I last ate."
"Is it already 2 PM?" I said confused. She just nodded and pulled me towards the Subway.
I ordered for both of us while my mate looked for a place to sit. We ate while making a small talk. But not much since we both prefer to eat than to talk.
"What?" I asked. Because she was staring at me. We had alrealy finished eating.
"Nothing." She shook her head.
"What are you staring at?" I asked, worried that I had something on my face.
"I'm just enjoying the view." She shrugged and I grinned widely.
I don't have to rely on the mate bond. "Have you found your mate?" She asked out of the blue. "Because Alphas can find their mate at age fourteen and you're already eighteen."
"Yeah, I have actually." I smiled.
"What is she like?" Dayanara asked. Even though she was asking it about herself but she just didn't know.
"She is very smart, gorgeous, a bit silly and the guys love her already." I grinned.
"She sounds wonderful." She smiled but to me, it seemed fake.
~Back at home~
POV Dayanara.
We got back home around 5 PM and Alexander went to his office to catch up on some paperwork. I rushed to my room and started throwing clothes into a duffle bag.
"What are you doing?" Mateo asked as he stood in the doorframe.
"I'm leaving." I mumbled.
"What why?!" He stepped in the room, closing the door quietly behind him.
"I can't stay here."
"Why not?" He stopped me from packing.
"Alexander found his mate already and when he told me, I realized that I like him." Tears blurred my vision. "I don't think I can watch him be happy with someone else."
Mateo looked like he was self inflicted before cautiously wrapping his arms around me. "Dayanara listen to me, Alexander cares for you more than anything in the world. No one, I mean literally no one, can take him away from you. And I'm sure if someone tried, Xander would have his head."
I didn't reply because I didn't believe it. No one puts their mate on the second place, your mate is your world. Loud footsteps were heard and my door swung open.
"Dayanara, let go of me." Mateo panicked.
"No." I refused.
"Dayanara, if you want me to live you gotta let go of me." He rushed. I reluctantly let him go and an angry Alexander came in my view. He stepped closer and Mateo darted out the door.
Alexander's gaze softened when he saw me but his eyes remained black. "What's wrong, tesoro?" He asked as he approached me.
"It's nothing. I'm fine now." I assured. "Mateo comforted me." And he growled.
"If something is wrong, come to me." He demanded. Alexander pulled my into his arms as I nodded. "Let's have a movie night. Just you, me and a shit load of blankets."
"Put this on." He took off his hoodie and handed it to me. I nodded, trying very hard not to stare at his abs. "I'll go change and build a fort, you can grab the snacks."
I did as I was ordered and wore leggings underneath the hoodie. Even though it reached the middle of my thighs. I carried the snacks up to Xander's room and gasped when I saw the fort.
"Tada!" He chirped. "Let's go." He grabbed his laptop and went inside. I followed his lead and got in as well. It took a lot of focus to not just stare at his abs since he didn't have a shirt on.
I insisted on watching Moana and halfway through the movie, I turned to check if Alexander was enjoying the movie. But he was already staring at me. Suddenly he started coming closer before planting his lips on mine.
I was shocked for a few seconds but then started moving too. But I didn't have a clue what I was doing while he seemed like a professional.
'Mate! Mine!' A voice howled inside me after we pulled away.
'Now you decide to show up? All it took was a little kiss?!" I said sarcastically to my wolf. 'Wait! You're back?!'
'No, hey Leah?' She pouted.
'Holy shit! I found my mate!' My eyes widened but then I noticed that Alexander wasn't in the fort anymore.
I quickly got out and found him pacing back and forth. "I'm so sorry! I couldn't resist it anymore and Angelo kept telling me I screwed up! But you looked so perfect and-" I silenced him by kissing him again.
It took him a second to respond but I felt his shoulders relax. "You're not rejecting me?" He asked.
"No." I shook my head.
"Great!" He sighed in relief. "But I do have a question for you."
"Shoot." I said as he wrapped his hands around my waist.
"Why do you love Disney movies so much?" He asked.
"When I was little, I wanted to be a princess and find my prince. But when I was around fourteen I hoped my prince would safe me." I explained. "So I could have my own fairytale and a love story like Eugene and Rapunzel. And now that I'm an adult I have found that love." I grinned at him.
"Tesoro, you are adorable." He smiled brightly.
"Wait! Did you know that I was your mate all this time?" I tilted her head to the side.
"Since the moment you fell on me." He nodded. "You mad?"
"Nah, I'm just curious." I shrugged. "But the girl you were talking about the Subway..."
"That was you." He grinned. I sighed in relief hugged him closer.
"I'm sorry for pushing you into the wall." I whispered into his bare shoulder. Tears pricked in my eyes as I thought of the image, Alexander with blood on his lips while panting.
"It's okay." He mumbled while kissing the top of my head. "Let's watch the rest of the movie."
