The star above

My name is vega but everyone calls me Star instead even my stepmom Amy that's her name. I got black hair that's very long I always wanted to cut it but my mom always says it looks great long and begged me to keep it that way.My eyes are a bright purple and I'm really pale I'm told all the time. I live in Boston and umm oh right I'm a vampire big shocker there. I've been one for as long as I can remember
Which was when I was 8, alone by the road, scared and in the rain. I didn't remember anything about myself all I knew was my first name vega which is a star and that's why everyone calls me Star. I hate being what I am everyday I don't want to be what I am a monster that's what I tell myself anyway. It's just not right at all but I live with it but today is the day everything changes because I'm moving to Miami the place of sun and beaches. I don't burn up in the sun it just hurts a lot so I just stay inside all the time. My phone rings before I could think any more I look at the screen to see who it was knowing I only had one contact anyway it was mom. I picked it up "hey what's up" I asked her only to get a angry response "what do you think I want it's 1:45 in the morning and we're leaving for the airport soon" she yelled at me. Shit I forgot about the time "be there soon"
Soon as in one second thank you super speed. I walked into the front door to see her standing there with her arms across her chest my mom has her dark brown hair up in some way and was wearing a sweater and tights she has a light brown skin colour "hi mom" I said looking at her pissed of face " we're leaving soon and you go running around outside?!" She said trying to sound calm but only came out as a yelling "sorry mom" I hoping would forgive me. She Rolled her eyes " go change and when you come down grab the suitcase" going into the empty living room to get her bag. I ran upstairs to my now empty room with my suitcase in the middle of the floor and grabbed a pair of jeans and a random shirt from the case and put my old ones inside. I headed downstairs with my suitcase to see my mom from the window waiting in the car. I hopped into the passenger seat after throwing my suitcase in the back and settled in as I closed my eyes to rest. I woke up to my mom shaking me telling me that we were at the airport. We got inside the airport and I looked to see that the time was now 2:20am we went to the desk to hand are tickets. The lady looked at me and smiled " you'll get a lot of sun in Miami young lady" I know she was trying to be nice but I didn't see it that way but before I could yell at her my mom dragged me into the plane. I sat in my seat next to the window and my mom was right next to me still tied I restarted my head against the window and fell asleep. I woke up to see daylight out the window I looked at my mom only to find her sleeping still. I decided to watch something so I grabbed my phone and headphones and went into my library and decide on the movie IT. I love horror movies and action and IT was one of my favourites so I watched it on my small screen until it was over. I put my phone away and looked to see my mom reading some book she looked up at me "want breakfast?" I never realized how hungry I was "yes please," I said sounding excited. She called a flight attendant over and asked for something to eat the woman smiled at her and walked away. A few minutes later she came back with Cheerios and milk good enough for me I grabbed mine thanking the lady then started to eat my cereal. When I finished I took my phone out again to listen to some music and play a game. I listened to a band called breaking Benjamin my favourite and played some random game I had that wasn't all that good but amused me anyway. The pilot spoke on the speaker telling us that we have arrived at are destination Miami. Mom loaded up the suitcases in the taxi since are car was still getting here as we hopped in. I was quiet throughout the way to are new place. When we stepped into the home my mom let me look at the place before asking " do you like it?" sounded happy not really it was just a house " ya it's amazing!" getting a jump of joy by her. I headed to what was going to be my room but only had a bed in the corner oh this is gonna be fun. I was later called down for dinner as I was sitting on my bead drawing in my sketchbook I hopped of my bed and walked downstairs. Since we just got here she ended up buying pizza which was fine with me by all means. I sat down and grabbed a slice and halfway through the slice " you know you got your first day of school tomorrow?" I almost choked on the pizza " what!" I said back sounded surprised she rolled her eyes " just because we moved doesn't mean you're not going to school" " but isn't tomorrow to soon?" I asked her trying to make her change her mind in some way. I headed upstairs after an argument with my mom about school and there was no way I was getting out of going so I chilled in my room until it was time for me to sleep so I just turned the light and crawled into the bed. I woke up to my mom yelling at me saying I was going to be late for school I got up and again grabbed whatever clothes I could which ended up being ripped jeans and a plain black shirt. I ran downstairs to where my mom way waiting " here's money for a taxi there and back here's the location" she handed me 40 bucks and a piece of paper. I gave her a hug and ran out the door were there was a taxi waiting, I got to the school and walked in and down the halls like 40 times trying to find my class whatever it was. Finally I found it room 120 I opened the door to meet the whole class looking at me and the teacher walking over to me " why are you late?" She asked sounding mad " I'm new and didn't know my way so I got lost" I said to her she thought for a moment " your vega Alissa?" She looked at me " ya that's me but most people call me Star" most as in all. " ok then head to a seat" she motioned me to the seats which I went to the very back and put in my headphones to ignore the lesson. I did the same for the second class and the bell went off. Lunch finally as I went outside in the courtyard and sat on a bench and grabbed my sandwich from my bag and started to eat. Moments later I was called out by someone but they said hey pale girl like that was going to get her a black eye for sure. I walked over to where she was standing next to another girl with blue hair and bright green eyes. She was cute in a way she wore a purple dress that had white polka dots on it. The girl I wanted to punch walked away leaving me alone with the blue haired girl. I looked at her " so umm hi" I said to her but she quickly hung her head down and said hi in a small voice. She didn't look like the nervous type I'm I tried to say before she cut me of " I'm Luna nice to meet you!" She said very fast that I couldn't help but laugh which made her put her head back down. I looked at her " hi I'm Vega but you can call me Star" she looked up at me with a slight smile "you're named after a star?" I smiled " yep," I said to her which was weird because I usually don't talk to people at all but she was different in some way I just knew it.
