Filming

1K 65 42
By izzietaylorily

Stiles got up out of bed and stretched, hearing his ankles crack as he sighs in relief. Today is the first day of proper filming. Until today they had only filmed the scenes needed for the trailer.

He got dressed into a white t-shirt and black jeans, quickly slipping on his white converse and grabbing a pair of sunglasses to shield his eyes from the blaring sun. He quickly jumps into his black Porsche and starts the engine. It roared into life as he set off to Set A where they would be filming the season.

When he got out of the car he lifted his sunglasses so they were sitting on top of his head. He walked in through the doors and onto set. Already orders were being made and props were being carried around. He could see some of the actors going over their lines together. Some weren't there so he assumed they would be getting ready.

He was quickly whisked away by one of the makeup artists, Shane. He sat down and waited for him to be done. His hair was gelled so it wasn't a complete mess and the bags under his eyes were lightened so they wouldn't be so noticeable.

Not long after, he was being thrown clothes to put on. His character, Zach, was the lead. He was the cool, popular guy who everyone liked. He was handed a long white shirt that clung to his muscles and a pair of ripped jeans, along with some black vans.

Derek came rushing through. "Are we ready?" His voice boomed towards Stiles, belittling him and making him feel inferior. He didn't like that feeling.

"All ready." Stiles was led to sit behind the cameras and watch Lydia filming the first scene.

(Will be using normal names, but remember they're acting.)

Lydia sat in her room listening to music, it was blaring as the actor who played her mom (Liz Forbes) came in and pulled her earphone out.

"Go to bed, it's the first day of school tomorrow." She told her sternly.

"Geez lady, learn to knock." Lydia rolled her eyes and put her earphone back in. Liz pulled it back out. They were doing their lines perfectly.

"You can't talk to me like that, I already told you once. Go to bed." She points to the bed on stage and Lydia reluctantly gets into it. Liz turns out the light and shuts the door as Lydia rolls over to find a more comfortable position.

"That was great!" Derek smiles from behind camera as he sits in his chair. "Let's try a few more times to get the best version, we need to see a mother-daughter connection but also a certain iciness towards each other." Lydia and Liz both nod and get into positions.

After they had filmed it a good 8 more times and a couple more scenes including Isaac, Jackson and Malia it was time for Stiles' scene with Lydia. Derek's voice raises above everyone else's chatter.

"Alright Stiles! This is the scene where we meet the main character, this is his story. He just shares it with the others. We need to really make an impression."

Stiles nods in return and gets into his position, leaning against the locker at the high school scene with his black backpack over one shoulder.

Lydia runs up to him and wraps her arms around him.

"Hey Bri." Stiles says and hugs her back, smiling from ear to ear. He couldn't help but make the hug linger for a moment. She smelled like cinnamon, not an overwhelming smell, but it was a nice scent; one that he wanted more of. He could feel her slow, calming heartbeat against his lower chest while she tightly clung onto him.

To his slight disappointment, she let go. The knot in his stomach was gone and so was the heat that they shared. He didn't like her. He couldn't. He didn't even know her. It was just a feeling he got from hugging her.

"I'm sorry for having been gone so long." He said to her, looking deep into her shining green eyes.

"Zach, it's okay. I know you had to leave for a reason." Stiles turned his head away from hers and shut his locker then rolled his sleeves up.

"Seattle was dull." He looked back at her as the corners of her mouth tilted upwards.

"Oh? Seattle was just dull? Are you sure it wasn't because I wasn't there with you?" She chuckles and tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"I guess I missed getting into trouble like we used to." Stiles smirks at her as they start to make their way down the crowded corridor. Whilst they walk, the crowd parts in the middle to let them through as they all rush to their 'classes'. The camera follows them the whole way down.

"It was all you Mr. Troublemaker." She playfully pokes his chest and giggles, her voice raising in the middle of her giggles to make it seem more genuine and real.

"What about that time with Miss. Pattinson?" He cocks his eyebrow at her as he looks at her from the corner of his eye.

She throws her hands up in defeat.

"Okay... you win."

Stiles takes out his phone and looks at his timetable.

"I've got math. Great." Lydia looks behind her.

"My class was actually back there, the chemistry labs got changed around from the history rooms." He nods and as she walks away calls out,

"I'll see you at lunch!" She looks behind and smiles in return.

"Yes!" Peter says. "You can really see the chemistry between you two." He looks at the crew, takes a breath then bellows, "alright everyone take a break! We'll resume at 11:30."

They had half an hour. Stiles decided to go talk to Isaac since he was sitting in the living room- sort area on the set. He flopped down next to him.

"Filming was rough?" Isaac asked politely.

"I just didn't get a lot of sleep last night." Stiles wipes his eyes with his sleeve and shakes his head.

"Oh yeah I saw your interview." Isaac nodded. "That girl in the back seemed thrilled to see you." Stiles chuckled at this. That little girl practically threw herself onto him.

"I'm going to go get a drink." He told Isaac before getting up and walking over to the table with jugs of water set out on it. He poured himself a glass and sipped it quietly over at the table while watching everyone else rehearsing their lines. Lydia came over and poured herself some water.

"You were good in that interview last night." She said to him, not make eye contact.

"Thank you." He replied back to her then taking a gulp of his water.

"But I also have seen how rude you can be." She looks at him, judging him for his actions before. He gently sets his water down on the table.

"Oh yeah?" Stiles questions her. Lydia eyes him up and down before setting her water down as well and crossing her arms.

"Yeah. I saw the way you spoke to the crew yesterday." He shrugged at her.

"I don't really care what you think of me, love." She scoffs and unfolds her arms.

"I want this part more than I've ever wanted anything else, I won't let you ruin it." Lydia edges closer. "Stay out of my way Stilinski."

After socialising and getting a drink, everyone went back to filming. Everyone was watching the main scene of the series being filmed.

"Where's the bathroom?" Stiles asks the teacher. She steps outside and points down the corridor. "Ah, thank you." He utters.

He quickly walks down the corridor. He starts muttering to himself after walking for over 2 minutes. "I think I walked a little too far..." He swiftly turns the corner, immediately regretting it.

Before him stands someone with their face covered, no skin showing, battering a boy no older than him to death. Stiles knew for it to be more realistic he had to make Zach look like he wanted to scream but couldn't. He slightly opened his mouth then shut it, retreating a little into the wall. The boy falls to the ground and the attacker rushes out the window. Stiles runs to the stranger's side and checks his pulse. He sets his character into anxiety mode, remembering all those panic attacks he's had before so incorporating it into his scene.

He scrambles to his feet and runs out of the dark, dusty room. Quickly looking behind him, he sees the limp body lying near the window on the brown tiled floor. The light shines in through the window behind him as his hand lies under one of the benches at the side.
