Clint continued to try and press Katherine's buttons before standing up along side Katherine once they both noticed their target was getting up and leaving. They both looked at each other but decided to say nothing.
"Well it's been fun but I've got to go." Katherine smirked. "It's time for the adults to go to work."
Clint just rolled his eyes before following her, much to her dismay. Katherine tried her best to loose him but Clint just kept following her around everywhere she went. Finally Katherine had enough of it and turned around, pulling him into an alley way and shoving him up against the wall.
"If you wanted to go out, all you had to do was ask." Clint laughed while Katherine rolled her eyes.
"Look, I have a job to do so stay out of my way or i'll rip your throat out with my teeth." Katherine threatened while stepped away. "I've become an expert at separating flesh from bone so unless you'd like me to do a demonstration on you, i'd stay out of my way."
Clint just laughed slightly to himself as Katherine looked at him confused. "You're not as intimidating as you think you are."
Katherine rolled her eyes while she started walking out of the alley and making her way back to her target. Clint still followed close behind her until she tripped him and quickly disappeared into the crowds. Clint cursed to himself before trying to push his way through the crowds, trying to find Katherine.
He looked everywhere for her but he had lost her. He cursed to himself before getting a heads up that his target was going to be at some nightclub later. Clint quickly hung up before still looking around for Katherine, who he couldn't find.
'if she wants a game of cat and mouse, she'll get one in deed.' Clint thought to himself before making his way back to his motel where he was staying. The whole walk back, Clint couldn't help but wonder... how come he was so invested in this one girl. Katherine was nothing to him other than a face right...?
After all... he hardly knew anything about Katherine other than it looked like she was a hired assassin and the fact that she was not messing around when it came to 'her jobs'. She did after all almost have him run down by a train just for 'getting in her way'. Clint sighed before letting his mind wonder to think about Katherine, a girl whom he didn't even know if she even meant anything. He had no clue. All he knew was that ever since he laid eyes on her, he couldn't get her out of his mind.
There was just something about her that Clint couldn't stop thinking about. She had gotten into his bloodstream completely reliving him of any plausible thinking....
As much as Clint wanted to follow his instructions, he couldn't just leave, not without having another word with Katherine. There was something about her that Clint just wanted to protect, he wanted to make sure she was safe. And without thinking, Clint told his commander that he wasn't quite ready to leave the mission yet, even though he had gathered way more information on his target than he needed.
He was going to stay behind for Katherine.. not because he was ordered to, not because he thought it was the best for his mission
but because he wanted to....

Katherine's Point of View:
Katherine's Apartment, New York
April 31st, 2012
"You're crazy." I tried keeping a brave face on because right now, honestly I was kind of thrown off by this freak in my apartment telling me about powers and shit. I mean, I'm an assassin, I was never trained for anything magic related.
I thought magic was just some myth that came from a Harry Potter film. I never imagined it would ever be real... or standing in front of me telling me that I had it as well.
"I can give you answers, guidance. I can help you open your eyes to the true power that runs through your veins." Loki smirked at me.
I felt my heart start picking up pace but I took a deep breath before counting backwards in my head. What if he was right...? What if he was telling the truth and he knew of some way to help me...with whatever the hell was happening to me. If it is magical... then surely he would be able to help.. But no, I couldn't. Accepting help from this nut job would be the first step in my downfall...but then again...i really just don't want to go through this anymore...
The pain that came with whenever an incident happened...it was too much to bare...But before i could even say anything out loud, Loki started answering like he read my mind. "You're scared because you don't know what's happening to you...That's why there's that little voice inside your head telling you to listen to me because you seek comfort in knowing that you're not alone in what you're going through.."
I snapped out of my thoughts and decided against accepting his help. It sounded nice and all, but there was no way that I was going to get involved in this. I couldn't let some freak of nature dressed in tacky clothing taint my mind. "nice try but i think i'll manage. I've managed by pretty good for my whole life so far-." Before I could even finish talking, Loki was already talking over me.
"or so you claim...We both know that you're terrified and want someone to help you...If you let me show you...I can give you what you really want."
"and what's that exactly since you seem to know so much about me?" I crossed my arms in front of my chest.
"Retribution. If you side with me, you'll finally get the one thing you've been wanting for ages. Vengeance against S.H.I.E.L.D. , the people who took everything from you and left you with nothing and no one. Side with me and S.H.I.E.L.D. , along with the rest of the world will finally get what they deserve!"
Just hearing about S.H.I.E.L.D. made me want to loose it. I tried keeping myself under control, trying to do as Bruce advised me to do and find an anchor.
"No.." I mumbled as I tried to block him out.
"They took everything from you!" Loki yelled at me.
"Shut up.." I mumbled while trying my best to ignore him.
"They took your family!
"Shut up..get out of my head.." I tried blocking him out as I grabbed my head. There it was, the pain was back.
"They left you all alone in the world!"
"Shut up.." It was like the more Loki talked, the more I felt like my brain was going to explode. I felt like i'm having a meltdown. I tried my best to keep myself under control but there was no use. I couldn't hold it in anymore.
"They took Barton away from you, they've taken away everything from you!"
And with that, that was my limit.
"I said shut up!" I screamed and once I screamed, finally letting out my anger, something happened again. I felt something inside of me...fighting to take over. As I screamed, I felt the anger inside of me building as I let go of my head, feeling the headache go away. I opened my eyes and turned around to noticed that everything in my apartment was completely destroyed. It looked like a wrecking ball came to this place.
Everything was completely broken.
I did this....?
I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. Except for the few tears forming in my eyes. Once I finally turned to face Loki, he lowered what I can only assume was a force field to protect himself from whatever the fuck I just did.
"There you see that....that is truly amazing, but you're to scared to tap into your full potential..." He told me while he slowly extended his hand to me, offering me a small smirk. "Side with me and I can help expand your mind."
