John's P.O.V
Alexander and I decide to go to IHOP...at 1 in the morning.
"Do you think everyone else is awake?" He asks me while we're in the car. I put the key in but I don't turn it.
"Do you think everyone else wants to be awake? And if they were, would they want to leave the comfort of their room to go to IHOP?" Alexander shrugs his shoulders and I laugh, texting the group chat.

BurrSir: I am now...Theo is too. Thanks guys.
ThePlaceToBe: no problem! We're at IHOP. Y'all wanna join?
LookAroundEliza: oh hell yeah, we'll be there.
HercPants: yup
BurrSir: Theo is nodding her head.
"Great. They're all coming. I'm gonna invite Samuel and Charles." I quickly shoot them a text before I start the car and start driving. I feel my phone vibrate on my leg. "Can you check that for me?"
Alexander picks up my phone and unlocks it, reading the text messages.
"They said they'll be here. Charles sent a really funny picture of him next to a sleeping Samuel, then another one where Sam is waking up, and then another one where he is getting slapped." I laugh.
"I'll have to see those when we get to a red light or something." Alexander puts his hand on my lap and I give him a quick glance, smiling.
"Washington wants us to babysit again." Alexander says.
"You're kidding."
"Okay, maybe just a little. He said that John and Patsy really loved us and they asked for us again whenever they need another babysitter."
"What kind of hole did I fall in?" Alexander laughs.
"Kids love you! And you were worried about them not liking you, and you're a freaking natural." I roll my eyes and he scoffs. "It's true baby!"
"I just want to eat some pancakes."

We wait outside for everyone else to come, and they all start coming slowly. Aaron and Theo first, of course, while Samuel and Charles are last.
"What's up biiiiitches?" Charles says upon approaching. Samuel slaps him in the back of the head.
"Shut up. Just shut up." Samuel says.
"Umm...why are they here?" Eliza whispers to me.
"We're friends." I say, shrugging. They wave to us when they see us. Charles looks Eliza up and down and a small smile appears on his face.
"I don't think I've introduced myself. I'm Charles Lee, and this dipshit next to me is my roommate, Samuel Seabury. We're friends with Alexander and John, so I'm hoping you guys are okay with that."
"Fine by me. I don't care. I want some waffles." Lafayette says, waving him off and entering IHOP. Hercules, Peggy, Maria, Angelica, Aaron and Theo walk in also. Eliza starts to walk in, but Charles grabs her arm before she can enter.
"Sit next to me? I want to get to know you." I look at Charles and even though he still has that cocky attitude on him, he looks a little love struck. Eliza's cheeks start to redden as she just nods and they walk in together. Samuel looks at me, back at the door, then back at me.
"Did my roommate just find someone?" He says.
"Hopefully." Alexander says. "I'm already planning their wedding." He grabs my hand and we all walk in. Since we are the only people here, cause who in their right mind would come to IHOP at 1 in the morning, we're seated right away. We're also waited right away.
"Would it be dumb to have coffee at this time?" Lafayette asks and I give him a look.
"Are you not gonna go to sleep after this?" I ask. He shrugs.
We all order our drinks and meals and the waitress walks away. I chat to Maria while we wait for our food.
"Were you nervous when you told Alexander that you loved him?" I take a moment to think about this and I just shrug my shoulders.
"I didn't really have time to process it. I said it without really thinking, but it was still true. Why?" She shakes her head and I give her a glare.
"Peggy told me she loved me, and I didn't say it back. And I'm worried she doesn't think I love her."
"Well, do you?"
"Love her? Of course!"
"Then why don't you tell her?"
"Cause it's easier for me to reveal my feelings for her to other people, but not to her directly."
"That's understandable. Just...try to slow into it, don't rush into it. Just try to say it when she's asleep or something, and then say I like you a lot more often and then you eventually just say it." She nods her head and smiles.
"Thanks. I mean it." I nod my head and Charles comes up next to me.
"Hey...so is Eliza single or talking to anyone or interested in anyone or you know...looking for someone?" I turn around in my chair and I tilt my head towards him.
"Do you like Eliza, Charles? I didn't think you could be capable of feelings for anyone other than yourself." He rolls his eyes and slaps my shoulder.
"Seriously though. She's pretty cool and I wanna get to know her but I don't want to advance if she's interested in someone." He lowers his head a little and I aw. He slaps me again and I slap him in the stomach.
"She's not interested in anyone. Just...don't be a dick to her. She is amazing so don't fuck it up." Charles nods his head and goes back to his seat. I feel my phone vibrate and I read the text message.
Hammy❤️: come to the bathroom. need some help with...something
I stand up to go to the bathroom.
"Alexander?" I say upon entering. "Alex? Babe?" I'm suddenly pinned against a wall. Alexanders face beams in front of me.
"Hi." He says.
"H-hi. What did y-you need help with?" I say.
"Well, I was talking to Angelica and then suddenly, I was thinking about you, because well, I love you, and then one thought led to another and like..." I look down and I laugh.
"Well, what am I supposed to do with that, hmm?" I turn him around so he's pinned against the wall. His eyes widen and I smile. "You want me to do something now?" He nods his head and my smile grows. My hand slides slowly up his thigh and he throws his head back. "We're gonna have to make this quick."

"Wow, when you said quick, you really meant quick. I didn't even have time to think before it happened." I laugh as we walk out of the bathroom. I kiss Alexander's forehead before sitting back down. Our food has arrived and we all dig in. Maria taps my shoulder and I turn my attention to her.
"What happened in the bathroom?" I raise my eyebrow and she motions for me to wipe my mouth. I widen my eyes and quickly do it. She laughs.
"It wasn't that much, but next time, look in the mirror."
