Luke Evans
I was at my house, eating Cheetos and playing GTA 5 with Paxton.
"Your phones been blowing up, dude. Might wanna check it out," Paxton told me, glancing at me sideways.
I pause the game and lifted it up.
4 missed calls from: Zoe
5 unread text messages from: Zoe
I swallowed the lump on my throat and called her back.
"Zo-"
"Why didn't you answer! I've called you and texted you! Mom is bringing me to the hospital because I'm in labor. Get there!" Then she hung up on me. I was at my feet and grabbing my overnight bag I had packed and flying through the door.
"Where are you going?" Paxton yelled as he chased after me.
"Zoe's in labor. I gotta go." I got in my car and floored it to the hospital.

"Where is he?" I groaned in pain. As I gripped the handle on the bed. Mom was rubbing my back.
"He is on his way honey, I'm sure of it. He will be here, you just focus on you." I groaned as another contraction paralyzed me.
I took deep breaths and tried to regain strength to keep going. Soon my door burst open and Luke comes running in, chucking his black duffle bag into the chair. He grabbed my hand and sat in front of me. Rubbing the back of my hand gently with his thumb.
"I'm sorry I didn't answer, I didn't hear my phone go off. It was on silent-" I groaned and squeezed his hand.
"I don't care. Just, please, don't leave." I begged. My eyes were closed so tight I started seeing little white dots.
"Breathe Zoe, holding your breath will make it worse," mom told me, I started crying, I couldn't hold back anymore. I just wanted this to be over with.
"Calm down, Zoe. Please, just breathe through it," Luke said to me.
"I'd like to see you feel my pain and try to breathe through it!" I yelled at him. Mom just rubbed my back in little circles to calm me down.
Dr. Barnes walked in and smiled at me.
"Let's see how dilated you are Zoe," she tells me. I lay back and she checks me. "About eight centimeters, you're doing great Zoe. Keep up the good work." I nodded and squeezed Luke's hand again.
"I'm so scared," I whispered so lowly I'm sure only he could head it. He rested his head on mine and started rubbing my hair.
"I know baby, like the doctor said, your doing great. Remember I love you," he whispered to me. Kissing my head lightly.
"I love you too," I whispered back.
A little while later Dr. Barnes came in and told me I could start pushing. So I did.
"Push Zoe! Push!" The doctor told me. Mom had gone into the hall with Astrid before I started pushing and it was just Luke and I in the room.
"I can't, it hurts!" I cried.
"Zoe you have no other option right now. You have to push her out." I took and deep breath and tucked my chin into my chest and pushed. I repeated this a few times before I heard it.
The loudest little cry I've ever heard.
I let my legs drop and my head fall back against my pillow. Dr. Barnes lifted her up with on hand behind her neck and the other on her butt.
"It's a girl!" She cheered. I chuckled quietly and started crying. Luke hadn't taken his eyes off our daughter since she made her appearance.
When he finally looked down at me, his eyes were filled with unshed tears.
He bent down and kissed me.
"I love you Zoe, so much. Thank you." He kissed me again.
Our doctor handed me our little baby, that was wrapped up in a pink blanket with no hat hiding her head of dark hair.
She looked just like Luke, to say the least. Carrying my nose, but chubby cheeks of her own and a perfect little head.
"She's perfect," Luke said from beside me. I nodded in agreement.
"Hello Gracie, we've been waiting to meet you, you're so beautiful," I whisper to her, putting my pointer finger in her little hand.
"And we can't wait to watch you grow up,"
