It had been a peaceful week considering what the weather had been like, snow continued to fall with no end in sight. However this meant less people in the cafe and more time for me to read. Without tearing my eyes away from my book, I picked up my lattè and took a small sip. As I flipped the page a thud interrupted my concentration, causing me to jump. I looked up to see a familiar face.
"Taehyung? What are you doing here?" I questioned while giving him a confused look.
He merely smiled. "You've forgotten about our deal I see."
"What deal..." My voice trailed off as I recalled our conversation earlier this week. "Oh."
"I read it!" He shouted proudly, waving my book around like a trophy. "Now you have to give me your number!"
"Not so fast," I said quickly. "You still have to prove you read it."
I crossed my arms with a smug look on my face. Taehyung procceded to give me a summary of the book. Which I had already predicted would happen.
"Anyone could have looked that up Taehyung." I reply. "How did Jean Louises' brother Jem die?"
Taehyung stared wide eyed at me. "He.. that... that doesn't prove anything."
"It proves you didn't read the book." I said coyly.
"That's unfair y/n and you know it." Taehyung challeged.
"Fine. If you answer this right I'll give you my number." I huffed. "What did Calpurnia’s grandson do?"
"Um... he... he hit someone with his car!" Taehyung shouted triumphly.
Although a part of me was rather happy he won my little game I still didn't want to hand over my number. But a deals a deal, and I keep my promises.
I grumble as I scribbled my number onto a napkin and handed it over. "Here," I said and thrusted the paper to his chest. "Have a good evening Taehyung."
I quickly walk out of the cafe, eager to escape his pressence. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I unlocked it to read my latest text:
Can I get dinner with you tomorrow?

I slowly type my reply.
No
- y/n
I put my phone away but it vibrated once more. I contemplated ignoring him but for some reason I felt like he would know and track me down.
Pleeeeaase?
- T
Fine. But this is a ONE time thing.

I knew you'd come around ;)

I let out an sigh and shoved my phone into my pocket. Oh how I'm going to regret this later.
