I am so sorry for not updating that much. Even though I love writing so much, school needs to be prioritized but I will update as much as I possibly can.

I wanted to show Maya everything. We went to my old school and she finally got to meet my friends. They loved her and even though it wouldn't matter if they didn't like her it made me happy. Maya and Riley had met mr Feeny before and every time they saw him under this trip they had to do the feeny-call. It was hilarious every time. My parents were proud of me and they adored her as much as I did. Farkle hadn't made a move on Riley yet but I think he is planning something.
The best thing with being back in Philly was still Maya's face. She lighted up when I showed her all the places that both Riley and I had told her so much about. When I asked how she could be so happy to just buy an ice-cream where my family always bought theirs, she told me it was because that she truly felt like a part of the Matthews then. She had always wanted to be a part of their family and now it was pretty close.
My niece was her happy old self like usually again too. The sight of them both so happy made both me and Farkle almost jumping of joy. We were totally lost to them and I am pretty sure that Maya knows it. The weeks flew by quickly. It was only a weekend left in Philly and we decided that we were going to drive to Hawk Mountain to go on a hike as a last stop before driving home. My mom had prepared for days with food and tents and everything you could possibly imagine having around. It was kind of cute how she even now when I lived on my own still felt the need to take care of me like I was seven years old.

Today we were going on a hike. It was only me, Riley, Farkle and Josh that would do it but it was exciting. I hadn't been on a real hike before and I was a bit nervous about it. With my usual luck I would probably get bitten by a snake or fall of a cliff. It wouldn't surprise me really. I have gotten used to the thought of bad things happening to me. The only difference is that now I see that people actually care about me, people that love me.
Riley and I packed the last things from into our backpacks and headed out the door to say goodbye to Alan and Amy. Amy had a hard time to let us go without a whole lot of lessons about everything that could go wrong and what we should do in that case. Riley noticed that I looked a bit worried while Amy brought up everything from snakes to serial killers and bears. She quickly made Amy quiet by giving her a big smile and a hug. After the hug was over, Riley took my hand and we got into the car where Josh and Farkle were already waiting for us.
"How much time do you two need to pack some clothes?" Farkle asked before taking Riley's backpack to stick it in the back of the car. Riley just made an annoyed face.
"First of all, you don't survive only on clothes. You need a lot of other stuff too. Second of all, we didn't take that much time. Third of all, if you are going to go hiking you can still look good and that means that we need a good variety of clothes." Riley snapped and pouted with her lips, making her face look like it belonged to a little child. Josh laughed at his niece while we were heading out to the highway that would take us to Hawk Mountain and our new adventure.
