*Luke's POV*
It has been a rough couple of weeks, getting ready for the tour and all that. I can't believe this is happening! I'm constantly finding myself wondering if it isn't all a dream. Me and the guys don't have a lot of free time anymore so that means me and Anastasia don't see each other that much anymore. Of course I'm still not over my crush on Skye, it has actually grown stronger. She is great and we just have to much in common to ignore.
I can't carry on like this the guilt is starting to eat me up, I thought long and hard about it and it's just not fair towards Ana, and myself, to continue with this relationship that isn't going anywhere. I feel terrible about it but I tried to stop what I feel and it didn't work.
I pick up my phone to call Ana and ask her if we can meet someplace but just as I was about to dial her number, she phones me.
"Hey Luke. Do you want to come over I want to talk to you about something" she says before I can say anything. Well this doesn't sound good. "Yeah sure, I want to talk to you to about something too" I replied. "See you in a bit then" Ana said and hung up. I hope everything is okay she didn't sound very happy. That was when my mind went in overdrive, what if she found out about my crush on Skyler, the last thing i want to do is hurt her. Well I'm probably going to break her heart if I tell her, but still I don't want to make her sad.
I arrive at her house and she is waiting outside for me. I walked up to her to give her a hug but she steps back. Something is definitely up. "What's the matter Ana?" I asked concerned.
"Can we go for a walk?" Is all she says before she starts walking. I walk with her in silence for about 5 minutes before she starts talking.
"Luke I can't carry on like this" and I know exactly what she's taking about. "Me neither" I sadly reply. "I don't feel the same as I did in the beginning and I get the feeling you don't either" Ana said and I see a tear rolling down her cheek.
"I'm so sorry, I wish things didn't turn out like this" I said. "Me too but it doesn't make sense to continue being together when we don't feel that way about each other anymore, besides I always thought we were better friends than lovers" she surprises me with her words. I don't really know what to say, should I tell her that I'm in love with her friend or should I wait a while?
"Skye feels the same about you, you know" Ana says with half a smile. "What?" is all I can manage to say. I'm to shocked to even think properly.
How did Ana find out about my feelings? Was it that obvious that I like her? I was trying so hard to be normal around Skye and just treat her like I treat the rest of the group. Did she say Skye feels the same way about me? That is impossible. Why would such an amazing girl like me? Even if she does feel the same way about me, which I highly doubt, how didn't I catch on to that? Just the mere thought of Skye liking me makes me feel all tingly.
"Luke I can see the way you look at Skye. You never looked at me that way, not even on our first date and when you're in her company you are yourself, it's like you're home." she says but she doesn't look sad anymore, she looks nostalgic. There is no more tears in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry Ana I really tried to fight agains it, you have to believe me" "I know Luke and you don't have to apologize. You can't help what your heart feels, I understand" Anastasia said and I give her a hug.
My curiosity takes over and I ask why she said Skye feels the same way about me. This causes Ana to burst out laughing as if I said something extremely funny. "You truly are not very good at picking up on some stuff,are you" she says turning more serious now.
"I can see the way she looks at you and when you talk to her she gives you her full attention like the world can go up in flames and she wouldn't even notice. She is always smiling and laughing when you're with her and talking to her. The way she is always looking at you when she thinks no one is paying attention. It's obvious she likes you. Now the real question is, what are you going to do about it? I won't stand in your way, in fact it will make me happy to see you both happy. It's agonizing to see you guys fight the attraction between you" Ana says with a bright smile.
She is a good person and I hope she will find the right guy for her because I'm not him.
I feel sad but happy at the same time. Sad that me and Ana broke up but very happy that I might have a shot with Skye and have Ana's approval. Today was just so tiring I'm going to sleep like a log tonight.
