"Jenna I got you this necklace." He opened the box to reveal a beautiful necklace. I gasped.
"Nate...this is absolutely stunning, thank you." He smiled. He was about to say something before he was interrupted by Shawn tapping the mic on the stage.
"Hello everyone. My name is Shawn, and I'm gonna sing a song for the birthday girl. Happy birthday Jenna." I smiled as he rested his guitar on his leg.
"Going out tonight
Changes into something red
Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress
Everything she never had she's showing off
Driving too fast
Moon is breaking through her hair
She's heading for something that she won't forget
Having no regrets is all that she really wants
We're only getting older, baby
And I've been thinking about it lately
Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you've ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of
Even when the night changes
It will never change me and you
Chasing it tonight,
Doubts are running 'round her head
He's waiting, hides behind a cigarette
Heart is beating loud, and she doesn't want it to stop
Moving too fast
Moon is lighting up her skin
She's falling, doesn't even know it yet
Having no regrets is all that she really wants
We're only getting older, baby
And I've been thinking about it lately
Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you've ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of
Even when the night changes
It will never change me and you
Going out tonight
Changes into something red
Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress
Reminds her of the missing piece of innocence she lost
We're only getting older, baby
And I've been thinking about it lately
Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you've ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of
Even when the night changes
It will never change, baby
It will never change, baby
It will never change me and you
Everyone began clapping as I made my way over to the stage to give him a hug. Then my dad came up on the stage and grabbed the mic.
"Good evening everyone." He started before taking a breath.
"And I thought talking at her sweet 16 was worse." A few people laughed as he chuckled.
"But now your a grown up. And watching you grow up, and progress has me and your mother so proud. So this is just a glimpse of you growing up." By this time my mom made her way over to me. Dad walked off the stage as a video starting playing on the screen. It started with my mom holding me, laughing and crying in the hospital when I was first born. Then it switched to me first crawling, then to me walking.
Next was my first day of preschool with Nate. Then my first day of kindergarten. Then it was a picture of me and the Jacks in class "reading". It showed some clips of Nate, the Jacks, and me at home or out somewhere. Then us in elementary school with Sammy and so on. At the end of the clip a few tears had escaped my eyes. My parents were beside me bawling their eyes out. This is gonna be a long night.

After they sung happy birthday and we ate cake and opened presents, everyone who was going to the after party, left to go get ready or change. Me my family and friends went back to my house. Our parents were going out somewhere else, because they don't want to go to the party. Me and a lot of different girls were in my room, touching up their make up and stuff.
"Okay, time for you to change." Amber said handing me my dress that was covered. I playfully rolled my eyes and went into my bathroom. I unzipped the bag to reveal a beautiful long black dress. I happily put it on and walked out the bathroom. The girls started cheering and smiling. I smiled and looked down over my outfit once again, giving Amber the chance to snap a photo.
"My sister is all grown up now. I can't call you a baby anymore." Emma said. I laughed and shook my head.
"Come on girls, it's time to go." Amber said. We piled out my room and went out to the limo. The guys rented out this place for the after party. So that's where we headed. When we pulled up, it was already loud. We walked inside and split up. There was already so many people here. I spotted my friends at the dj stand with Dillion, and walked over.
"Hey guys, you did good with this place." They nodded.
"That's what we do." Sammy said. I laughed.
"Alright now that the birthday girl has arrived let's get this party started!" Dillion shouted through the mic. Everyone screamed and he changed the music around. The guys left to socialize leaving me with Nate.
"Damn Jenna. You look amazing." I nodded.
"I know." I smirked. He laughed and pulled me into a hug.
"Want something to drink?" He asked when he pulled away. I nodded and he walked off. He came back seconds later and handed me my cup. Before I drunk it, I could smell the liquor in the drink. I would of disappointed if there was no alcohol. I downed my cup and dragged Nate to dance with me. We danced any kind of way before the music slowed down.
I wrapped my arms around Nate's neck, and his went around my waist. I smiled looking around at all my friends, and it warmed my heart that they were all here.
"You deserve to be happy Jenna." Nate said, causing me to look up at him.
"I am happy. This moment makes me happy." He smiled at me.
"Jenna I-"
"Dude just kiss her already!" Sammy yelled. Nate and I chuckled. He cupped my face and kissed me passionately.
"I love you." He breathed after pulling away.
"I love you too Nate Maloley."
