Okay, as you may have gathered from my book, I am an extremely obsessive Genesis fan. Obviously I love the main five members of this band (Tony, Mike, Steve and Phil, and if you hadn't guessed, Peter is my favorite.) However, I am a little sad like no one besides hard core Genesis fans have ever heard of Ant Phillips. He is such a great guitarist, songwriter, and I personally really like his voice too.
(Btw, he is also a smol cupcake.)
Anyways, when he was in Genesis he made big contributions on the album Trespass, especially on this 'ere song:
Dusk
Also, this song here that he pretty much wrote, even though it never appeared on an album, it is so great. He duets vocals with Peter.
Let us Now Make Love
When he left, like the other guys in the band didn't even know if they could continue. Fortunately, they did, and that led to bigger and better things. However, Ant Phillips also did great stuff solo. Here are some of my personal favorites.
Collections
God if I Saw Her Now (Vocals by Phil Collins around the end)
Which Way the Wind Blows (Vocals by Phil)
So yeah, if you dig Genesis or progressive rock you should totally listen to this. Or if you don't you should too, but you should also totally listen to Genesis. They're like, so amazing.
