"Hey, I have an idea," Caitlin said. "Shoot," Barry replied. "You should move in with me. Officially I mean. You practically live there anyway so why not make it more permanent," she explained. "I'd love to, baby," he replied leaning in to kiss her neck. "Get a room!" Cisco groaned. "Okay, let's go home," Caitlin replied smugly grabbing her coat, bag and Barry's hand before walking straight out the door taking her boyfriend with her.
They got back to their apartment and watched a movie, cuddled up on the sofa. "Be mine, Dr. Snow," Barry asked. "Sweetie, I already am yours, and you're mine," Caitlin replied kissing his nose playfully. "We can go get the rest of your stuff tomorrow. Most of it is already here but we should do it as soon as possible," Caitlin trailed off. "Okay, tomorrow afternoon because I have to go do something tomorrow," he replied. "Doing what? Barry Allen, you better not be seeing some other woman," Caitlin exclaimed. "Never you're the only girl for me, I have an errand to run. It won't take long, promise," he explained trying not to ruin the surprise.
The next day Barry went to the mall and into a jewellery shop. He knew they hadn't been dating for long but everything felt right. And he wanted to be more than Caitlin's boyfriend. He loved her more than anything in this world and even though he was buying her an engagement ring he still missed her. And she loved him so why would she say no.
Barry picked out the one that he thought that Caitlin would like best and paid for it. It was a silver band with a big diamond in the middle with two smaller diamonds to the left and right of it. As he was about to leave the store the cashier called out "Good luck!" which somehow gave him the confidence to ask her.
