Jass walked over to the coach. She angrily threw her math book across the room. She yelled out about how much she hated math. She muttered about wanting to kill herself rather than do math homework. She mulled over a few different ways to kill herself. She wrote a note: "Math made me do it." And then she laughed at herself and erased the note, she spent another hour doing the math that she hated so much.
The next day, she had youth group. They started a conversation about math. She said something about killing herself instead of doing math.
One of the youth leaders contacted the authorities.
So Jass was taken away to rehab. They had found the note and everything. Or at least the erased remains of it. She spends a couple years in therapy, mostly because she won't admit she has a problem, because she doesn't. She just hates math.
So, when she comes back, she is known as the girl who tried to commit suicide. But that term doesn't describe her. She never tried anything like that. She has trouble making friends. She doesn't fit in any more. At least it is her senior year.
But when she faces math again. . .
She isn't sure she can do it.
This isn't the end though.
She isn't going to go back to therapy.
So she gets a math tutor, who is coincidentally the boy she had a crush on at the beginning of freshman year. The year she became known as the girl who tried to commit suicide.
Take it from here!
