"Now there are three divisions in the council: Head boy/girl, Prefects and ex Prefects. These three divisions are further sub-divided into four houses. First the Head boy and girl of Hufflepuff along with the prefects and ex prefects please proceed." Professor McGonagall said.
"Headboy and Headgirl Hufflepuff shall monitor the basement corridor to the Hufflepuff Dorms and floor number 5 for the Ravenclaw Dorms, at night. If you are threatened, you're allowed to use the Killing Curse. Same goes for the rest of you. But be mindful, the killing curse used without any visible threat will lead to dire consequences.
If the bell goes off, students guarding the dorm corridors shall evacuate house dorms immediately. The Hufflepuff prefects, shall be monitoring the third floor corridor, as it is more likely for someone to use that as it is easy gaining entrance on a deserted corridor. The ex Prefects will guard the main entrance to corridor number five and the basement corridor, respectively."
The students nodded their heads in agreement as the selected students proceeded to the platform next to Professor McGonagall.
"The Headboy and Headgirl Ravenclaw will guard the Gryffindor Towers, leading to the Gryffindor Dorms. The prefects will guard the towers' main entrance, and the ex prefects, will guard the Library entrance on floor number one."
The students again proceeded to the platform.
"Headboy and Headgirl of Slytherin shall guard the entrance to the dungeons, where the Slytherin dorms are located. The prefects will guard the 2nd floor corridor main entrance. The ex prefects,, I'm afraid have to work alone. Mrs. Parkinson will guard the 1st floor's main entrance, and Draco Malfoy will guard the 7th floor area where the tapestry of Barnables the Barmy is situated."
Draco gulped. The tapestry was just across the Room of Requirement. Damn it! The Slytherin council members proceeded on platform.
"Now comes the Gryffindor Council Members. The Headboy will guard the Prefects bathroom on floor number five, because we might not want to leave any place unattended. The Headgirl will guard the entrance to the Kitchen on the basement, and as Hufflepuff Common Room can also be accessed by that corridor, we need precaution. The ex Prefect isn't available. There is only one duty left: the most important of all, and yes it goes to Hermione Granger. You, miss Granger have to guard the Room Of Requirement."
Hermione's heart was in her mouth. Destiny had chosen her and Draco's duties together.
As she walked with the crowd to the platform, her heart sank. The doubts, the prediction Professor Tuffets' concern, and Ron's words about Draco swam in her head. No! He's innocent! Her heart said, but her brain refused to believe that.
Heya people! This chapter took me two and a half hours to write, because I was researching some stuff about Hogwarts. And yes, all of the places on the specific floors mentioned are factual, the way JK Rowling chose them to be, so I'm not writing without having my facts.
Don't believe me? Google it.
