The moon reappeared and she was gone.
Wow that was both very dramatic and nerve racking.
Feeling bothered by what happened I closed the curtains to my window. I left my room and entered the living room.
"Uncle Raymond! Long time no see!" I said a little nervous if he heard the news yet.
"No need to act innocent Jade. Your mother will not like this if she found out. You can't keep on dodging the officers that want to question you. It will draw unnecessary suspicion to you and thus family." He said getting right to the point.
"Wow! No hi or hello? Or how was your day Jade? That is quiet rude Uncle Ray." I said wagging ny finger in his face like he was a child.
He just glared at me playfully.
"Anyways if they really want to question me they can track me down. I mean they already traced my calls." I said a little annoyed at how noisy the government is.
"What, you thought you would get privacy?" He asked me a little amused.
"Well, yeah, I kinda was!"
"Ha! Not in this country. Anyways since you missed dinner I left you some leftovers it's in the fridge." He said waving me off.
I warmed up my food and joined him on the couch. We watched some random old movie called Finding Dory.
"Uh Ray, aren't you a little old to be watching cartoons?" I asked.
"This! Is not a cartoon! That was my childhood you imbecile!" He said offended.
I just laughed at him and his childhood. Old people. "Hey by the way I'm taking Dree to a self defense class thus weekend."
He gave me a questioning look.
"Because weird things have been happening and I just want her to be prepared for the worst." I said refusing to look at him in the eyes. I knew full and well that his eyes could read souls which is why he is such a great lawyer.
I never really told Uncle Ray that I had a special gift, allowing me to see how other people's lives ended and when. Though I'm pretty sure he knew that I could see more, than I was supposed too.
One thing I appreciated about him is that he never pushes a subject. No matter how much he wants to know he would distract himself with a new topic of conversation.
"Okay, I respect that. You want me to take you guys or do you want to drive there yourself with my car?" He asked.
"I'll just drive us there. And Ray why don't you just give me on of your cars? I mean why have 3 cars?"
"Because I have different moods and my 3 babies represent them. I'll consider about giving one to you. I guess." He said rolling his eyes at me.
I gave him a cheeky smile. He replied with a "Whatever."
Man I love my Uncle.

Gabe's P.O.V.
Man. Mom isn't taking the news so well.
I had just ended the call with Jade when my mom had 69 News on.
"Meanwhile in California two freak accidents happen in the same day. An old man that doesn't seem to have any family was killed when a tree landed on his body. The accident killed him instantly. Watching the accident was the man who sawed down the tree on the man, who than dropped the running chainsaw he was using on his foot. The bleeding man managed to turn off the chainsaw but bled out in the ambulance car and unfortunately died. The last person both these men saw was an unidentified teenager that attended Southern Wilderness high School. Last time this teenager was spotted was at the end of the school day picking up a child. She was wearing a blue hoodie and grey joggers and a pair of black converse. Officials are tracking her down and will soon question her. Back to you Ted!"
"I swear if that's Jade I will personally kill her." Mom threatened.
"Um, well let's not jump to conclusions mother." I said a little nervously rubbing her tense shoulders and giving her a tight smile.
"Well I'm pretty sure it's her, that's the type of clothes my daughter wears!" She protested.
"Mom a lot of people have that type of style. It could be anyone. Now stop worrying about her she's doing fine I just called her." I hate lying to my mom but I hate seeing Jade getting in trouble even more.
Ug she owes me for this one. Maybe I should plan a surprise visit? Just to see what she's up too. If she's okay. I guess you could I miss her. I guess.
I left her on the couch making sure to switch the channel to Cartoon Network. Because sometimes it's the simple things that make her happy.
I made my way to my room and left the door open.
When Jade had called me I was supposed to be in school but I decided to skip and study for the tests that were today. I would just make them up another day.
In school rumors have been going around about Jade. That she dropped out because she was pregnant and didn't want her stomach to show. Oh this is my favorite she ran off with her boyfriend from a different school district.
One, she doesn't have a boyfriend and she's not allowed to have one after I found out about the first three she had. Even then I didn't like her dating.
Two, she would never run off with her boyfriend she has to much heart to leave her family.
And three, I would kill her if she even tried.
I mostly ignored the rumors and no one really tried to confront me about them. They were to intimidated by me, the only people around me were my group of friends. In school girl would call me the bad boy, but I could care less what they thought of me and if they didn't talk to me because of it. I'm just trying to pass high school and interact with the other students as less as possible.
I mean don't get me wrong I have done some things thats were worth the thrill. Like running from the cops when my friends and I got caught drinking and driving.
We got away with it too. Good times. I even got in a couple of fights too. I won of course. I guess the students at my school found out and labeled me as the bad boy. Which made the girls all over me. Weird how the world works.
A knock ripped me away from my thoughts. I quickly left my room and went to the front door, to find my mom beat me to it.
Two officals stood in all black in front of our door. One was a pale sweaty woman and the other was a tall man that looked like he ment business.
The spelled out trouble and I would know I won the 3rd grade spelling bee back in the day.
I silently crept back to my room and stayed completely silent and listened closely. Good thing the Walla where paper thing. But I guess that could also be a bad thing. But anyways I focused on every weird they were saying.
"Hello ma'am, are you the mother of Jade Elizabeth Hemmingway?" A masculine voice asked. I was guessing that was the man.
"Who wants to know?" My mother sassed.
"Obviously we do if we're asking the questions." The woman challenged.
"Who do you work for?" Mom replied.
"The government." They replied simultaneously.
Damn it Jade. What did you do now?
