"Yes mom. I know." I said as she went on and on with her list of warnings.

"I'm just making sure sweetie."

"I know mom and I appreciate it but I got to go or I'll miss my bus."

"Alright honey I love you."

"Love you too mom." I said ending the call.

"I think she misses you." Cody said turning to look at Tilley "don't you think Emmy's mom misses her."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"She a pig she can't understand you." I said. "Nor can she speak her opinion.

Right as I said it Tilley oinked and Cody smirked at me.

"You were saying."

"Alright fine I'm sorry I doubted you Tilley." I laughed petting her head.

"Now will you get out of that pen." I said looking down at my hopeless boyfriend.

"It is cooler down here." He said.

I rolled my eyes again laying down on the roof of Tilley's shed.

"Anyway, when do I get to meet your mom?" Cody said out of the blue.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean you've met my mom and dad, and my aunt and cousins. I've only meet your brother that is not enough."

"That is about all there is. Well beside my sister and her husband and there kids."

"See." He said.

"But if you met my mom and she figured out who you were then she would know I lied to her."

"True, but what about when we get more serious."

"I'll tell you what." I said turning to lay on my belly so I could look down at him.

"What." He smiled up at me.

"If you really, so badly. That your just die to meet my mom after these three months you can." I trailed off.

I guess I've never thought about what happens after three months.

"I can what? Meet your mom?"

"Yes?" I said more of a question.

He chuckled. Reaching up to kiss my lips.

"Promise."

"Sure." I forced laughed.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing." I said turning back around and flipping my sunglasses down on my face. "Everything is A-okay."

He climbed up next to me.

"I don't think so." He said.

I let out a sigh.

"Have you thought about what happens after three months?"

"You stay here." He said hopefully.

"You know I can't do that." I said.

"I know." He said quietly.

"Okay enough with this sad stuff what are we going to do today?" I asked sitting up.

"I have a few ideas." Cody said smiling.

"Oh really, ones that don't involve kissing?"

He frowned.

"Never mind I got none."

I laughed kissing his cheek.

"Why don't we go for a ride, cowboy."

"Alright." He said getting up and we walked hand in hand to the barn.

Cody and I talked none stop about everything and nothing while he saddled Misty and Scout. We followed the same path we had the first time I rode. Cody still held onto my reins too.

"Let's see how far we can get up this mountain." I said looking above me at the trees I had fallen in love with.

"If you really wanted to get to the top I think you'd have to camp a night or two."

"Really?" I asked.

"Well depends on how slow you walk and for you two or five nights."

I shoved his shoulder as he laughed.

"Your a jerk."

"A very cute jerk."

"Hm, I won't argue with that." I smiled at him he smiled right back at me.

In this moment it was perfect.

Everything about it.

Absolute perfect.

"Cody why won't you tell me where we are going?" I whined.

He squeezed my hand in responds.

He had seriously gotten Tate in on this and they kidnapped me. Well not really Tate put a blindfold over my eyes, threatened me with my life if I took it off and carried me out to the truck.

"I really don't like this."

"We are almost there." He said.

"Is it really that big of a deal that you needed to kidnap me!"

He laughed.

"We didn't kidnap you."

"You took me against my own will. What else would you call it?"

"You would have came with me if I asked you too kidnapped or not."

I was quiet that was very true. Sad. But true.

"Alright fine I'll shut up." I huffed.

He chuckled.

"Too late we are here you can take off the blind fold now."

"Really?" I said reaching up to the blindfold.

"Wait, no you can't." Cody said grabbing my hands and keeping me from taking it off. Before planting a big fat kiss on my lips.

"Cody Clarke you are such a jerk!" I smiled.

"A cute one remember."

I rolled my eyes as he untied the blindfold. We were parked outside a restaurant. But not any restaurant this one servers brought your food out too you.

"Aw this is cute." I declared as I unbuckled. I looked around and the few other cars parked.

"You think?" Cody asked handing me a menu.

I nodded flipping through the menu. Not long after a waitress came and took our order. Cody got a hamburger and fries and I got chicken strips and fires. The lady came back with our lemonades.

I took off my shoes and stretched my feet out along the seat of Cody's only love before me. His orange international truck. I leaned up against the door sipping on my drink.

Cody just smirked at me.

"Let's play 20 questions." I said.

"20 questions?"

"Yeah haven't you played it before?"

He nodded.

"It jut surprised me that's all."

I laughed.

"Alrighty I'll go first. What is your favorite color?"

Cody laughed at me.

"Are we seriously going with the lame questions?"

"Just answer it."

He pointed to his truck.

"How did you not know." He said.

"Black?" I smiled.

I know he was meaning orange I was just playing stupid. And he knew it too.

"Yes."

I smiled as I chewed on my straw.

"Your turn."

"Alright I'm not gonna ask a lame question." H paused. "If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go, and why?"

"Ah that's two questions." I said.

He rolled his eyes.

"Fine then where would you go?"

"You do realize I can and have gone pretty much everywhere."

"True how about your favorite place then? Where if you could you'd stay forever."

I thought for a moment.

"Here."

He smiled and without saying anything else like I thought he would he simply said. "Your turn." And moved on.

"Um, what is." I paused. "Actually lets play would you rather!" I said my eyes lighting up as the waitress brought our food.

"What would you rather? You can't just change games." Cody laughed putting ketchup on his hamburger.

"Yes you can and I did." I said eating a fry. "Now would you rather date a monkey or have your truck trashed."

His eyes shot up in horror.

"No!"

I smiled.

"Yes!"

"Your mean you know that."

"Eh you'll live." I laughed.

"I'd date a monkey."

"Wow I see where I stand!" I laughed.

"Well you never gave me you as an option." He defended.

"Alright fine, would you rather date me or have this truck."

He laughed.

"You."

"Your just saying that." I said.

"No I'm not I really would chose you over anything."

"Aw, your actually sweet."

"You know it." He smirked leaning over and kissing me.

I felt like a giddy high school student. When the boy you like kisses you and you get those butterflies and that knot in your stomach. A feeling everyone should experience because it is one of the bests. May was right. May was so right. Halsey was right too. Oh how right they are, because I think I'm falling head over boots for Cody Clarke. It is the most terrifying and most excited feeling ever. Knowing that someone likes you back just as much as you like them. Then he blew my mind again.

"I love you." He whispered.

I was brought out of my thoughts. He has said that three times now. He has had the courage to say it three times. I haven't returned it. I haven't found that courage. I opened my mouth wanting to saying something. Wanting to say those three words but I couldn't. I just couldn't force myself to say it when I wasn't complete sure what it was or if it was true. I couldn't and it killed me. It killed me to see the flash of disappointment run across his face so fast I almost didn't see it.

But it was there, I know it was and it killed me.

It killed me that I was too afraid too say those three words.

I love you.
