Alexander:
The morning after was awkward, well not overly, but a little and I was mostly worried about going forward with this because Desiree now smelt like me and I smelt like her. She also smelt a little Vampiric and unlike me she wouldn't be able to hide this fact or the big bite mark on her neck. Now what do we do? One moment of passion and now we are in deep trouble.
Desiree was still asleep on my chest and she looked so beautiful. She was my beautiful mate, but she was now in danger. We both were and our Kingdoms. We really needed to talk about this. I didn't want to wake her, but the sun was rising higher and higher and by now, I'd have got the horses tacked up and we'd be gone.
I shook Desiree lightly and she stired awake. She looked up at me and smiled. She winced a little and it's probably due to the fact her virginity is gone and her neck was bitten. I mean, mine was bitten and it hurt a little.
"Hi..." She whispered to me.
"Hey...um, we need to talk about what we're going to do now."
"What do you mean?" Desiree asked as she looked up at me.
"Well we're mated now Desiree, you smell like me, all of me and they are going to smell it."
"Okay, okay, yeah...um, okay we go to my mother's, it's just past the next pack and she'll understand. Then we'll get the army that's stationed there to protect mother and take my Kingdom." Desiree actually came up with a pretty good plan and I nodded in agreement.
"Okay, I'll pack up the camp and we'll head out soon." We shuffled around and got dressed. I kissed Desiree hard on the lips and let her change for the day while I put on a new shirt and got the horses ready. I gave them another load of food and tacked them up to the carriage again.
I looked at the map and circled Desiree's mum's castle. I would have to take a road to the left instead of the right and head to the castle rather than the Swan Lake Pack. The castle was known as Swan Lake because the Queen had a lake installed with some Swans when she first married Recce.
I hoped Desiree's plan worked because we were really on thin ice this time. We shouldn't have mated, but it is hard to say no to her and we've been together for so long now that she was driving me mad. I had to trust in her and the fact that she's been basically running this Kingdom anyway, but I still worried about her father.
"You ready to go to your mother's?" I asked Desiree as she stood in the carriage doorway. She nodded to me and sat down in the carriage. I then got the horses to start down the trail towards Desiree's mother's house.
Assassin:
"They're on the move again." I radioed back to the main hub.
"Where are they going?" The boss' voice came back over the radio.
"I think I heard something about Swan Lake Castle."
"Fantastic...let's move up the plan."
"Got it boss." I then called up one of the other assassins we had stationed further away as part of the plan. "Plans been moved up. Move him." I ordered down the phone and the other assassin understood before hanging up.
The plan had been moved up a few weeks and so we were going to have to rush, but hopefully this plan works because when you get on the wrong side of the boss you end up dead.
Alexander:
We had to stop one more time before we eventually made it to Desiree's mother's castle. It was a huge one with long grey coloured towers and red bricked roofs. The castle had a deep and wide moat around the castle, but instead of something scary in the water, there were just Swans. I was worried about how her mother was going to react to us and what the future held for us, but I had to have faith in Desiree.
Master:
I didn't like the fact that my plan was having to be pushed up by a few weeks, but then I just thought that at least this would be over with sooner rather than later. I would have liked more time to plan and think on what I needed to do. I need more time on to find out what these two were up to. Although, now would be the best time to strike because they have just mated and so now would be the best time to attack them. They won't leave each other now, which means that they will be easier to kill together.
"They are almost at Swam Lake Castle." One of my many minions said to me with a little pant as he came running into my office. I grinned maliciously and got up to put this plan into motion.
Alexander:
I drove the horses towards the large castle and stared around in worry as I looked upon the faces of all the palace guards. I was in serious hot water this time. This is not a place I should be, not if I wanted my Kingdom to survive, but here I was, trusting Desiree again. It did nothing to help the gut wrenching feeling I have in the pit of my stomach that something like this was a stupid idea.
I stared at the castle, with it white washed walls, tall pillars and towers with red bricked tops. There were tall bay looking windows, balconies dotted all over the place and the castle was weirdly round. It was surrounded by a deep, at least 9 foot deep, moat with a few swans slowly swimming their way around the circular moat. The huge arched moat bridge was up at the moment and massive chains holding it in place were still as they drove up to the two guards stationed outside.
One of the guards raised his hand as if to indicate for me to stop the carriage. I pulled up the reigns and slowed the horses to a stop. The other guard came forward, his lance held out straight, ready and poised to attack. I glared at the soldier.
"Name your business here." The Guard who had put his hand up towards me ordered.
"I bring the Princess Desiree!" I called back with a slight hint of anger in my voice at the other soldier holding his lance in an attack pose.
The soldier closest to the carriage straightened up his lance and his body language calmed down. He held his lance in one arm and walked towards the carriage door. Desiree opened the curtain and smiled at the guard. The guard turned towards the other and nodded.
"Open the gates for the Princess!" The guard closest to the moat called out in a very loud voice. The previously silent and still chains that held the bridge in its up place now clinked and moved down as the moat's bridge started to lower. It hit the small ledge helping to keep it up with a great thud.
"You may continue through." The guard nearest the bridge said. I flicked the reigns and the horses marched on. We went through the arch into the courtyard of the castle. There were servants walking around and I could see that a lot of them were actually coming in and out of the kitchen. A few of them even stopped and stared at the carriage as I drove it to the main door. I slipped down and went over to the door to the carriage, opening it to let Desiree out. Desiree took my hand and got out to stare up at the castle. Two servants came over and I helped them bring the luggage down to take into the castle.
Desiree pointed for me to follow her and I did, my senses on high alert and my heart rate through the roof. I was in serious danger by being here and I knew it. This was not somewhere I should be. I was about to start a war. Desiree seemed oblivious to my worries and didn't seem to be feeling the same way. Desiree walked up to the main steps in the foyer and then she went up them and I followed. I kept looking around at the guards posted around and tried to find a way out. I needed an exit plan.
Desiree glided over to two large, beige doors with golden trim and knocked quickly. A sweetly woman's voice came in through the door and Desiree opened both with a flourish. I watched as Desiree's smile dropped and was replaced with a shocked look. As I followed her in I could see why her smile dropped into shock. Her mother was standing in the office, but she was not alone. She was standing beside a man with a large golden crown on top of his head. This must be her father. Oh shit was all I could think.
"Father, what are you doing here?" Desiree asked, with only the smallest ting of worry trembling through her voice.
"Your mother called." He said; he seemed sort of subdued and like he was in some kind of trance. This didn't seem like the strong, werewolf king that his father used to talk about. This man looked like a push over.
The doors behind us closed and locked. There were now 6 people standing behind us, all dressed in black attire. Realization dawned on me about who these people were. I have seen one or two of them when I fought their colleagues. These were the assassins that I had seen or beaten up before. We were in deep trouble.
"Desiree..." I whispered to her and she too looked around. She stared from the assassins to her mother, who now stood in front of us with an evilly wicked grin on her face.
"Mother? What's going on?"
"Sweet, sweet revenge."
"The area is closed off, Master."
"You?! You've been trying to kill me."
"Of course, you stupid girl. Who else would want you dead as much as me?"
"But you're my mother!"
"You are no daughter of mine. Tie them to a chair." Two assassins took Desiree's arms and shoved her into a chair before tying her up in a soft, plush pink chair. It took four of them to do that to me and chains not rope. "Now, let the master explain to you, you dim witted little girl." Desiree's mother and the master started.
:O ahhh no one guessed that it was her mother. I'll do a shout out if anyone can guess her motive. Why does Desiree's mother want her own daughter dead??
