It was late into the night and Sophia was wrapped in Nicolas' arms. They were both awake and looking towards the glass doors that led to the balcony. The moon was full tonight. The scenery was exquisite. Nicolas ran his fingertips down her arm and back up again.
"It's beautiful, isn't it Cara?" He questioned, whispering into the dark.
"Yes. It is. Very beautiful, really." She whispered back turning in his arms to face him. She smiled when her eyes met his. Then she lent foreword and kissed him gently, and she was going to pull away until he placed his hand against the back of her head making her lips stay against his. She laughed at his actions and she felt him smile against her lips. He kissed her passionately, moving his upper body onto hers. He pulled away and whispered close to her ear, letting his breath cascade down her neck.
"If the children were not here amoré, (love) just know that I would make love to you now..." He whispered before he placed his lips against her neck. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath trying to steady her breathing.
"Nicolas." She whispered, trying to force herself to think that the pleasures he could give her then, were nothing. However, she knew too well in the back of her mind that they were anything but nothing.
"Hmm?" He mumbled on her skin, running his lips down to her chest.
"Nicolas, you should have thought about this before you invited the children over. I will not make love with you while we are in this house with them, it's wrong." She spoke finally bringing herself to her senses. He only smirked.
"You are a very sensual man, Nicolas." She spoke, her eyes closed.
"And you are a very tempting woman, Sophia." He whispered, letting his right hand caress the side of her body.
"And before I forget Cara, we will have time for ourselves while the children are here. You must accompany me to my cousins wedding, we will not be back until the following day, and that night we will be sharing only the most exquisite hotel room in the finest hotel." He spoke.
"And when is this?" She asked.
"Two days from today." He spoke. She just shook her head at him, he hadn't told her before.
*The day of the wedding*
Sophia was running around trying to get everything they needed for the wedding. She ran into the master bathroom, only to see Nicolas shaving. He was shirtless and her eyes began to wonder for a long time, until they were torn from his perfect torso when he let out a laugh. Her eyes snapped to his through the mirror.
"Like what you see, cara?" He laughed, dragging his razor down the underside of his jaw. He was a god, he must have been. She just shook her head in reply, ignoring him. Then she realized something.
"Darling, are you wearing your dress pants while you are shaving?" She asked.
"Yes, I am." He spoke.
"And what if you drip shaving cream on them?" She asked.
"Then I change." He stated simply. She rolled her eyes. He laughed.
"Don't roll your eyes at me." He joked putting down his razor and coming close to her. She stood lent in the doorway. He wrapped his arms around her.
"Oh don't you dare kiss me! You have shaving cream all over! Go finish shaving so we can leave!" She laughed pushing him away by his strong muscular chest. She then watched as a drop of shaving cream fell from his face and landed on the crotch of his trousers. She bit her lip.
"Oops. Won't you get that for me darling?" He asked with a smirk, going back to shaving.
"Oh no! No. No. No." She spoke shaking her head.
"Ah come on, cara. I'm shaving so we can leave shortly, and now I have to change my pants. The least you can do is get that off, before it drops on my floor." He said trying to persuade her.
"Well, If it does that then I will clean it from the floor, but not from... There..." She said pointing. He gave her a strange look.
"Oh you are such a bambina. (Child)" he spoke.
"Why? Because I won't touch you there? Not yet anyway..." She trailed off with a smirk.
"Oh you wait until later my temptress. You wait." He smirked, shaking his head and returning to the mirror. She walked behind him, wrapping her arms around him. The entire time as he watched him through the mirror. She ran her finger tips up his finely sculpted torso. She could see goosebumps on his arms begin to arise. She laughed as she turned and walked out of the bathroom.
She had already gotten her hair and makeup done, and was waiting until last to put on her dress.
She quickly slipped on her red dress.
"I guess red is the lucky color tonight then..." She laughed to herself as she looked into the mirror. The red dress was mid thigh, and opened on either side, however her sides were not bare, for there was black lace covering the sides, the heart shaped neckline showed only a small bit of cleavage, and the material tied behind her neck. However it was not tied just yet.
"Nicolas! I need your help!" She called for him. He came into the room wearing a black button up shirt and red tie matching her dress. He had changed his trousers and she had to say that the ones he wore now fitted him much better. He was buttoning the buttons on his shirt cuffs, he glanced up to her. Then, his eyes broke away completely from what he was doing, and his deep blue eyes trailed her.
"Can you tie this for me please?" She asked with an innocent look, however he swore she was tempting him. Tempting him to throw her down onto his bed and make sweet, passionate love to her. He moved closer to her, taking the ties from her and tying them into the perfect bow behind her neck. Once he let go of the ties his hands slowly swept down her back, then back up to her bare shoulders and running his hands down her arms, as he slowly made his way to the front of her and rubbed soothing circles in her hips. He lent close to her ear.
"Are you nervous?" He whispered. The tips of his fingers brushing her belly.
"For what?" She asked trembling.
"Tonight.." He whispered in a husky voice, not daring move his hands from that spot.
"No." She sighed as she closed her eyes. She could smell his sweet aroma. He smelled of the same cinnamon, spicy smell he had always smelt like, and she loved it. He just reminded her of love. Nothing but love, lust, and just plain sensual desires. Everything about him screamed it. He nuzzled his face into her neck, breathing her in. She smelt of flowers, always flowers, even when she didn't wear perfume. It was her natural scent. He loved it. He loved her.
"You know you haven't kissed me in a while..." She whispered. He smiled against her neck.
"Well, I guess I have to change that don't I?" He breathed as he spun her around in his arms and pressed his lips to hers.
"Ah my dear cousin! Lilly, are you well?" Spoke Nicolas when they had entered the wedding reception.
"Yes darling, I am well. Kenneth has been very kind to me. I love him so. Oh won't you look at this rock! Isn't it just gorgeous?!" Lilly spoke. Nicolas took her hand and examined the ring upon her finger.
"Yes, it is very beautiful. I wish you a lifetime of happiness." He spoke to her with a smile. As they parted they kissed each others cheeks, and she ran off to her new husband. Nicolas gently grabbed Sophia's hand, as he was well aware of the looks she was getting from other men. She looked up to him and smiled.
"What do you want to drink, my darling Sophia?" Nicolas asked as they approached the bar.
"Oh I'll just have wine if that's alright." She spoke.
"That is quite alright, my dear." He spoke. As Nicolas was speaking to someone Sophia seemed to daze off, staring at the happy couple. 'Someday I hope that will be Nicolas and I.' She thought. She truly loved him. She truly believed she did. However, she thought she had been only living in a dream. Certainly a man like him didn't fall for a woman like her. Nicolas then placed a glass in her hand, snapping her out of the daze. Nicolas followed her attention to the couple.
"They look happy, don't they?" He asked.
"Yes." She whispered. "Very much so..."
Later that night, Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight" began to play and Nicolas grabbed Sophia's hand and led her to the dance floor. He swayed her softly to the music, pulling her close to him whispering the lyrics softly in her ear, sending chills down her spine. He spun her around as she smiled. Then, he pulled her back quickly, with the strong lingering of lust in his eyes. He pulled her against him and kissed the side of her neck softly.
"You are truly wonderful, cara." He whispered. "Truly no woman can capture a mans attention like you, make a man crazy for you. Make a man need you like I do." He whispered.
"Nicolas, I want you..." She trailed off in his ear. His body suddenly reacted to the words.
"Well darling, you will wait. Love waits." He whispered nuzzling his nose into the side of her neck while swaying her. She didn't understand, he could be so sensual one second, as if in need to bed a woman, and then so soft the next minute, as if in need to wait.
"Oh, how you confuse me." She sighed. He lifted his head to look her in the eyes and smiled
"How so, Amore? (Love)"
"You seem to not be able to wait to get me in bed with you, then when the time comes and I want you too, you say to wait. Don't misunderstand me, I will wait. I am not impatient for such a thing, I am just having trouble understanding. That's all."
"Well cara, I just want to enjoy you as you are now. In that dazzling dress, in the beauty that is you. We will have plenty of time to make love, but my dear, this moment, this night, won't last forever, you know. It will fade as all the nights and days do." He whispered. She sighed and rested her head upon his shoulder.
"You're wonderful." She sighed. He chuckled.
"Am I?" He laughed.
"Very much so." She whispered.
