All at once we walked down the stairs. I saw everyone look at Caitlyn, then Sarah, then me. But I could only feel one person's look on my.

I looked at Axel as he looked me over. A smile spread across his lips as I found a smile also spread across my lips.

We all walked down the last of the stairs and stood next to our dates. Of course everyone's parents had to come for pictures and the 'they grow up so fast' speech. After our parents took our pictures, we left to go take our own pictures. All of the guys had rented a limo for us to use for the night. The limo driver opened the door and held it open for us.

"Ready?" Axel whispered to me.

"As I'll ever be." I sighed. I was happy, truly, but I'm not used to all of this stuff. I don't get dressed up and go out to parties, I'd much rather stay home and watch Full House. I don't know how to dance, good anyway. Of course I've danced in my room, but it was mainly just failing to whip and jumping around.

"Don't worry. I've got you. I'm not going to leave your side." Axel took my hand and laced our fingers together. I looked up at him and smiled. He turned to me and leaned down to place a kiss on my forehead.

One by one we all piled in. The man closed the limo door and walked around the car. We all waved to our parents as the waved to us.

When we arrived there, the driver parked in the front of the school. He came around and opened the door for us. Slowly everyone began to stop and turn to us.

All of the boys got out first, followed by us. I brushed off my dress, fixing any wrinkle that happened to appear.

Everyone stared at us as we walked inside. I even managed to see Harley make a little angry squeal and stomp away. A small grin appeared across my face.

We all walked in to the ballroom, also known as the gym. It has been decorated by the Prom committee of this year. Millions of blue, pink, and purple balloons clung onto the ceiling of the gym. A huge chandler hung over the tables and a disco ball over the dance floor. The bleachers have been put up to make more room for people to dance and socialize.

To the far left of the gym, set up next to the walls, tables full of food were displayed. To the far right was the main dancing area, the band playing their music while couples and singles danced.

"I'm gonna' grab some punch, do you want any?" Axel yelled over the music. I shook my head and watched him walk away.

"Hey, where's Axel going?" Sarah called from behind me. I turned to see Sarah, Caitlyn, Dominick, and Ryan behind me.

"He just went to grab some punch. But I need your guy's help. It's very important." I said seriously.

"What is it? Did something happen?" Caitlyn said nervously.

"No. I am doing something special for Axel, but I need help keeping him occupied while I get ready."

"Okay. Go, we've got this." Ryan said. Both of them left and I looked nervously at Sarah and Caitlyn.

"Should I be worried?" I asked them. Caitlyn said maybe a little, but that they got this.

I nodded and walked towards the stage. I had planned this with the Prom committee a day after Axel's Prom proposal. I got the idea from him and how he thinks I'm a good singer. So I decided to show him, even though I'm incredibly nervous, how much I truly love him.

Axel's POV

I walked over to the food table and waited behind two people for the punch bowl. The first one was nerdy guy who seemed nervous. It was probably because a 'big bad' jock stood behind him, watching his every move.

"Any time, dimwit." He hissed at the nerd.

"How about you shut up and let him finish." I threatened the jock. He turned around and stood dangerously close to me.

"Oh, so the big bad Axel is protecting the stupid nerd?"

"Actually, I-I know a lot. I k-know how to multiply the answer to get to the-" the nerd began, but the jock decided to step in again.

"Shut up!" He screamed at him, then he turned to me. "Are you seriously protecting that?" He questioned me with disbelief.

My fist clinched together and before anyone react, I had him pinned to the wall. I drew in a small crowd of people, but I didn't care. Now, the old Axel wouldn't give a crap about someone getting bullied, but I guess the new Axel feels differently.

"Don't you, ever, go near him again." I threatened.

He chuckled and laid his head on the wall, then he looked back at me. "Or what?" He challenged.

I was winding up my fist when I heard someone call my name out. I froze, but I kept my eyes on the jock. Out of the corner of my eye I saw two girls come and stand to my right, they looked nervous.

I felt to sets of arms rap around my under arms and pull me back, releasing the jock. He fell to the floor with a thump and stood up straight.

"Stop. The teachers are coming." A familiar voice spoke to me. Ryan placed a hand on my shoulder and gave it a squeeze.

We both stared at each is for a good minute or two. I thought of how Emily would feel if she saw me doing this. She would probably be proud. I smiled to myself and gave one last glare at him and walked away.

"Where is she?" I asked as soon as we were far away from there.

"She's busy." Was all that Dominick said before his mouth clamped shut. I walked up to him and stood dangerously close to him.

"Dominick. Where the hell is she." I said more of a command then a question.

"Alright everybody! Are you ready to meet your 2016 Prom King and Queen?!" A female voice screamed on stage. I turned my head to the stage to see what was going on. A girl with long black hair and black eyes stood on the stage talking into the microphone. Everyone went crazy in response. "Alright, alright. Now before we continue, we have a special treat for ya'll! Please put your hands together for Emily!" She screamed one last time before running off stage.

Emily?

Just then the love of my life walked out on stage. She gave a small wave to the crowd. "Hi... My names Emily. Most of you know me and some of you don't have a clue why I'm up here. Well, I am going to sing a special song for a special. Axel Braxton, I love you more than anything in this world. This is for you."

She turned and nodded to the drummer. The drummer banged his sticks together and everyone started to play.

"I found myself dreaming, In silver and gold.
Like a scene from a movie. That every broken heart knows, we were walking on moonlight.
And you pulled me close. Split second and you disappeared and then I was all alone." She began to sing. I made my way to the front of the crowd. Everyone glancing at me as I walked up.

"I woke up in tears. With you by my side. A breath of relief, And I realized. No, we're not promised tomorrow."

"So I'm gonna love you,
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna hold you,
Like I'm saying goodbye, wherever we're standing.
I won't take you for granted 'cause we'll never know when.
When we'll run out of time so I'm gonna love you,
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you."

I walked up the stairs of the stage. Emily looked straight at me and smiled. She handed me her microphone and I took it.

"In the blink of an eye.
Just a whisper of smoke.
You could lose everything.
The truth is you never know." I sang as we both locked eyes.

"So I'll kiss you longer baby,
Any chance that I get.
I'll make the most of the minutes and love with no regrets."

"Let's take our time,
To say what we want.
Use what we got,
Before it's all gone.
'Cause no, we're not promised tomorrow."

Then we both sang together.
"So I'm gonna love you,
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna hold you,
Like I'm saying goodbye, wherever we're standing.
I won't take you for granted 'cause we'll never know when.
When we'll run out of time, so I'm gonna love you,
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you."

Emily said "Hey" at the same time as I said "Whoa" our grins grew bigger. Then the music slowed.

"I'm gonna love you,
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna hold you,
Like I'm saying goodbye, wherever we're standing.
I won't take you for granted 'cause we'll never know when.
When we'll run out of time so I'm gonna love you,
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you." We both draped out the word you as the song ended. We both kissed on stage and the crowd roared. We pulled away and laughed.

Emily POV

"Wasn't that something?!" The black haired girl, Mia, came out speaking into the microphone. "Okay. Now for the moment you've all been waiting for!"

"Your Prom King and Queen are... Harley and Axel!" My heart dropped. I looked up at Axel who had a harden expression. His grip on my hand was tight as he stared at the girls bringing up the crowns.

Harley acted like she didn't think she would win as she walked up the steps of the stage. Mia placed the tiara on her head with a smile and them motioned for Axel to come get his crown.

He let out a quiet groan. He walked I front of Mia and bent down, so she could put the crown on his head. I clapped quietly with a small smile on my face.

"And now it's time for the king and queen to have their dance!" Mia announced. I really hate Mia right now...

Harley tried to hold on to Axel hand, but he didn't like that I loosened from her grip. I smiled.

They headed to the center of the dance floor, that had been cleared for them. One light shines over them. I cross my arms over my chest, but not in a fussy way, more like trying to keep calm.

Harley smiled at him and placed her hands on his shoulders. Axel kept a stern face and kept his hands at his sides. Harley let go and moved his hands to her hips, making my cheeks turn a light shade of pink. She got closer to him and they were soon inches apart. Harley her eyes and began to lean in.

Without thinking, I stormed down the stairs, through the crowd, and out the front doors of the gym.

I know nothing happened, but I hate Harley so much. The way she touched him made my head hurt. I was jealous. But am I wrong to be jealous?

I walked around and soon found myself sitting on the sidewalk. I looked out into the parking lot and looked at the different types of cars.

"Hey." I looked up to see him.

"Hey." He sat next to me stared out at the cars as well. "I thought you were dancing with your queen?" I asked.

"She's not the one I wanted to dance with. She's not my queen." He said. Axel placed his Prom crown on my head. "You are."

I smiled and we both stood up. The crown fell over my eyes because it was so big. We both laughed as I moved it back on my head. I placed my hands on his shoulders and he placed his hands on my hips. I leaned into him and placed my head on his chest.

He began to hum the song we sang earlier that night. I smiled at the thought of us singing together.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too, Sweet Cheeks. Always will." He said.

I looked up and kissed him. We pulled away and placed our foreheads together.

Best Prom ever.
