H A R R Y 🔫

My heart was lodged up in my throat as I sprinted through the hallways of the warehouse. It was a madhouse in here. Bodies were dropping dead quickly, most of them were from Black Arrow, a few were from The Organization. I couldn't bring myself to help anyone at the moment, solely focused on getting to Scarlett. Scarlett. What the fuck was I thinking? Saying those things that made it seem like I doubted her love for me? I had just lost it at that moment, desperately using the airline tickets as my last resort to get her to snap. I wasn't sure if she did, but I couldn't care less right now. I needed to find her.

Gunshots were reverberating throughout the entire warehouse. There weren't many people who had ambushed us, just about ten or fifteen. That may have seemed a lot, but really it wasn't, compared to the amount of trained assassins we had here. It was stupid to even consider ambushing The Organization. I was supposed to be with Valkyrie, with Max and Vlad protecting God's Eye. But I seriously couldn't care less. Scarlett was the only thing on my mind right now.

A shriek echoed throughout the hallway I was currently running through, the familiarity of it causing me to lose focus. As I was nearing the source of the scream, I noticed a large burly man with his fingers on one hand, wrapped around a woman's neck, while the other one was sneaking down the front of her pants. The pale blue eyes of the woman met mine all of a sudden, the familiarity striking me once again. It was Vicky.

"Har-!" she screeched but was cut off when the man squeezed her throat again. I hid around the corner, making sure the man didn't see me when he snapped his head to the right.

The old me wouldn't have given a shit and left for Scarlett because she was more important. But the new me just couldn't leave Vicky like this. That would have been utterly wrong.

My hand dug into my pocket, finding my switchblade immediately. Silently and sneakily, I quickly crept up behind the man before pouncing on him and grabbing a fistful of his dark hair. He let out a surprised grunt, his arms flailing around, finally letting go of Vicky. Without a second thought, I brought the knife around his neck and dragged the blade across the skin of his throat swiftly. Blood spurted out of the laceration and onto an overwhelmed Vicky. Pulling back my knife, the man gurgled as he clutched his throat before collapsing to the floor with a thud.

My eyes darted up to meet Vicky's, noticing how uncharacteristically scared she looked. But there was another emotion lingering within her features. Gratefulness.

"Thank you," she breathed, her pale eyes wide. I simply nodded in acknowledgement before trying to sprint off but she spoke up again. "Where are you going?" she asked, before realizing that her question may have sounded stupid.

"I need to find Scarlett," I grunted impatiently.

"Oh," she blinked. "I'll help," she suggested, catching me off guard.

"Really?"

"Yeah of course. I'm not as nasty as you think I am," she rolled her eyes. "Are you heading to the apartments?" she questioned, and I nodded in answer. "Okay I'll check the mess hall and other places," she told me, running off in the direction I had just come in.

Shaking our encounter clear off my head, I kept moving. I was nearing the entrance this time, breathing out in relief when I realized I hadn't been attacked this whole time while I was on my search for Scarlett. She was still in the apartment; I had only left her twenty minutes after we had our fight. My heart clenched at the memory of it. Our fight. God I just wished things would go back to the way they were before.

Deciding to take the stairs, my lungs burned with every breath I took as I climbed two steps at a time. I burst through the exit door and into our apartment floor. My feet thudded quietly against the carpeted floor as I rushed down the empty hallway. My eyes landed on our apartment door in the distance, my heart pounding erratically in my chest as I hastened, increasing my speed.

"Scarlett!" I yelled.

My hands landed on the door with a loud bang, my hands clenching to form fists and my mouth let out noisy shouts. My fingers closed around the door handle, pushing it downwards, only to curse loudly when I found out it was locked. My hands thumped against the door repeatedly, panic and worry rising up in me. Suddenly I remembered the extra apartment key we kept under the doormat.

Once I located it and unlocked the door, I burst into the apartment, her name leaving my lips in a sharp cry. But no answer. The place was vacant. I quickly checked every room but there was no sign of her. I ran a hand through my hair, my teeth tugged at my cracking lower lip as I thought intensely. Where could she be? I had only left her just twenty minutes ago, she couldn't have gone far. A sudden thought struck me, making me hurriedly leave the apartment. Scarlett could have been with Dexter and Louis. I exited the apartment quickly, slamming the door shut as I started to dart down the hall again.

My gaze momentarily flickered to the carpeted floor, noticing two pieces of paper before I halted in my footsteps. My pupils were blown wide when I recognized the writing on the paper. They were the airline tickets. My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach as my world started spinning all of a sudden. What could this have meant? Did she have them in hand while leaving and just randomly dropped them? My mind couldn't form any more thoughts as I picked the tickets up, clutching them in my hand as I advanced forwards.

~-~

Scarlett was still nowhere to be seen. Every single person I had asked hadn't seen her. Someone even suggested to me that she might've been dead for all I know. I almost strangled that person. Fear was like a constant hammer banging my head. I was scared. I never got scared, fear used to be unknown to me. But now, fear was all I felt, along with worry and panic. Where the fuck was she?

"Louis!" I yelled out when I saw his familiar copper tousled hair. He spun around, the sight of his face catching me off-guard. I would say it looked similar to mine, but with actual tears in his eyes.

"Harry," he croaked, his face falling significantly as soon as he saw me.

"Where's Scarlett?" I grabbed his shoulders desperately, my eyes wide and alert with some sort of hope in them.

"You don't know?" he questioned miserably, his eyebrows raising slightly when I frowned in confusion.

"Don't know what?" I demanded, tightening my grip. Dexter spotted us, rushing over to make me let go of Louis.

"Harry, Scarlett was abducted by them," Dexter broke the news for me. His words caused my heart to shatter.

All the blood drained from my face as I felt my mind starting to fail. I couldn't formulate a thought. Scarlett was abducted, by Andrei. Andrei. The man who murdered her father. The man who appeared in her nightmares every single time, raped her and tortured her in them as well. My mind finally began to work again, but only to form thoughts of what Andrei would do to Scarlett now that he had his hands on her. Oh fuck.

"Harry?" A voice echoed; sounding blocked out as if I were underwater and someone was calling me for me from the outside.

I snapped out of my daze, my eyes darting to the person who was now gripping my shoulder worriedly. It was Spencer. His face was contorted with worry and fear, probably just the same as mine. His expression was just more confirmation that my baby was in the hands of some monster.

"We need to find her," I finally spoke, my voice firm and determined now. "Where's Niall?" I snapped, my eyes darting across the mess hall sharply, trying to spot out the blonde boy. Niall needed to operate God's Eye so I could fucking find her immediately.

"Harry," Spencer called out, grabbing onto my arm when I tried to move away to locate Niall.

"What?" I said brusquely, anger taking over. Anger because I was mad at myself for not being there to protect her, now she was going to suffer and it was all because of me not sticking with her.

"Niall was abducted too," Spencer said softly, making my eyes widen. "But they couldn't find God's Eye. I think they're going to strike the deal again," he told me, but my mind didn't comprehend what he was saying. All I cared about was finding Scarlett.

I turned away, forcing down the fear that was trying to take over me as I tried to locate the members of Valkyrie. I found Jade and Max, telling them to meet me in the conference room for an urgent meeting. We needed to decide what to do now. I knew for sure Andrei was most probably on their way to another state or country after the incident with the textile factory. I needed to think rationally, instead of getting on my bike and driving around madly searching for the love of my life, as much as I wanted to do that.

~-~

"Nothing?" I questioned sharply, frustration leaking from my tone. It was 2 in the morning and we were still tracking them down, Andrei had ambushed us at around 10 or 10:30 and it had only lasted for half an hour. We were in the conference room; Jade, Seth and Max were on a laptop trying to track them down while I paced around, with fear gnawing at my heart slowly and painfully.

"Nothing," Jade shook her head sadly, her fingers still moving quickly over the keyboard.

"Why is it so goddam hard to track them?" I flared up, bringing my fist down on the table with a loud bang.

But all of a sudden, the table lit up, the cobalt light illuminating our faces as numerous icons floated around the touch screen table. The whole of Valkyrie stared in silence when we spotted the message icon, the one we used normally to communicate with Ford or the other organization in England. This time there was a message, but I had a feeling it wasn't from Ford.

My hand stretched out, fingers tapping the icon slowly. We all flinched when the message came up as a video, the sight of the person causing all of us to tense. Andrei. I swallowed thickly as I pressed play.

"By the time you get this message, we'd probably on a plane to someplace else that isn't this shithole," Andrei started off cheerfully, holding up his camera close enough so his face was the only thing visible. There were some undistinguishable noises in the background but I didn't linger on them any longer as Andrei started speaking again.

"Now, as you probably know already, we've got Scarlett and Niall as our captives. Say hi Scarlett," he grinned nastily, moving out of the camera to reveal the room he was in.

My jaw dropped open at the sight of Scarlett and Niall, wrists captured by shackles that were attached to the top of the room, preventing them from forming any sort of escape. My bottom lip quivered at the sight of Scarlett, noticing the fresh bruises that littered her dull skin, one particularly dark and nasty one plastered on her jaw. Her gaze rose up from the floor, locking with mine as she stared into the camera, causing my heart to jump to my throat at the sight of the pain written in her eyes. Her lips parted to speak but all of a sudden a large baseball back was slammed into her stomach.

"Fuck!" I screeched, my jaw clenching and nostrils flaring at the man who had just hurt her.

Andrei's sinister chuckles rang across the intensely quiet room. My eyes flickered back to Scarlett, pain stabbing my gut like a knife, twisting when I watched her cough up blood, her face contorting in agony. There was nothing worse than watching your loved one be tortured when you're not able to do anything to help.

Luckily, he continued speaking and stopped hurting Scarlett.

"Now, I'm pretty sure you're familiar with how this works. I've got Scarlett; you've got God's Eye? You see where this is going? Niall is out of the question; he's needed to operate God's Eye so he stays with me," Andrei said firmly.

"But there's something I want to emphasize on, you have five days. On the 15th of March, you will meet me at an address, which I will give you later on, and you will hand me God's Eye. In exchange you will get Scarlett. This will happen only on the 15th of March, not any earlier not any later."

I furrowed my brows in slight confusion. Obviously we were gonna talk this through on how to trick Andrei and getting what we need, leaving him with nothing. But, that would only take a few days and I do not want to leave Scarlett with that bastard for a total of five days. My jaw clenched at the numerous ideas of what he could do to her during that space of time that popped into my head. No. We had to get her back soon, not after five fucking days.

"The reason I want to wait for five days is because there's a little something I've got to do with Scarlett," he smirked vindictively, his eyes narrowing before he glanced back at Scarlett who visibly gulped.

My blood froze at the sound of his words, tears pricking my eyes at the sight of my love tied up with bruises and bashes scarring her soft skin.

"I'd suggest you make your decision after five days. We're watching you now, I'd know if you're going to plan to ambush us, and if you fucking do. Scarlett won't live to see your pretty face again, lover boy," Andrei addressed me, his words impaling my heart sharply. "Till the 15th of March, make sure to check your inbox every now and then. There might be a few videos of my up-coming fun times with Scarlett," he concluded with a wink, a devilish smile curving into his lips before the video ended.

I was speechless by the end of it, my face blank with my lips parted, a hundred thoughts running through my mind. I fell back into my seat, ideas of Andrei's intentions pounding at my head like a jackhammer. Before I knew it, I had tears rolling down my cheeks, my fingers sliding into my hair before gripping the strands painfully and tugging in frustration. I couldn't care less about the fact that I was crying in front of my team; I just couldn't help it.

I was scared. Scared for Scarlett. Deep down I knew that she was tough and she could survive this, but a part of me was doubtful. She couldn't survive her nightmares of Andrei doing malevolent things to her, how was she supposed to survive with him actually doing them to her in reality?

✖️✖️✖️

-just to clear things up, I wrote this chapter in March, hence the reason why I wrote the date of 'the deal' will be on the 15th of March lol. also, yes Andrei has abducted Scarlett and Niall, and they have flown to a secret location. So they're not in Las Vegas at the moment.

-ALSO! I HAVE FINISHED WRITING KILL & RUN.

Yeah basically I finished writing this book on word and all I have to do is update he chapters. But it will take time as I am busy. Plus I don't want to finish this book too quickly and then post the sequel because I haven't planned the sequel out properly, yet.

So be patient my lovelies and get ready for a load of emotional chapters. We've got five chapters left, with the exception of the last one splitting up into two different parts.

So until we meet again...
