After a few days you and Hiccup grew really close. You both were inseparable and had many things in common. You were his best friend and he was yours.
Valka watched the two of you grow close and she hasn't seen Hiccup this happy since his father's passing. She was very thankful that they both met you.
Even though Valka just met you she looked at you like a daughter. Right now you guys were at the old sanctuary that Valka used to live.
"Wow this is amazing. You lived here for twenty years?" you asked amazed while looking at all kinds of different dragons flying around.
"Yes dear, it was fun being with the dragons. This is where I saved most of them from danger."
"If you defeated Drago that means there's no more danger, but why are they still here?"
"Well most of the dragons came back with us to Berk, but some stayed here because they lived here for so long that they didn't want to move to another place."
"Well that makes sense."
"C'mon I'll show you the rest," Valka said going through a tunnel.
It was small and long but you managed. Hiccup needed a little help since it was hard for him to get over the rocks, but you and Toothless helped him.
After going through the tunnel you entered a large opening that sorta reminded you of a cave.
"This is where I usually stayed, are you guys hungrey?"
You, Hiccup, and the dragons nod.
"I can help you, I know how to make soup," you offered.
"Yes that will be great. What do you need?"
You than looked around seeing bowels on boulders that you assumed that she left behind.
"Well I have most of the ingredients in my bag. All I need is carrots."
"I got them, c'mon bud let's go," Hiccup said walking back into the tunnel.
After preparing your ingredients you and Valka started chopping vegtables, and putting them in a large pot. After a minute Valka spoke up.
"Do you like Hiccup?"
"Of course he's my best friend."
"That's not what I meant. Do you like him more as a friend," she said smiling.
"I...uh...h-how did you know?"
Your cheeks were bright red from embarrassment.
"I can see it in your eyes dear, no need to be embarrassed," she chuckled.
"You make him very happy since his father's death he hasn't been as happy as before. When we met you he's been more happier. I haven't seen him like this in awhile."
"How long ago was the passing?"
"Three months."
You stayed silent until you spoke up.
"Please dont tell Hiccup about this."
"Dont worry dear I wont," she said laughing.
"Hey I got the carrots," Hiccup said.
He came up to you and placed them in your hands. When his finger tips brushed your hand you felt the heat rise up in your cheeks so you moved towards the pot trying to hide your face.
Valka just smiled and walked back into the tunnel with the dragons.
Once you were done chopping the carrots you threw them in the pot and turned to look at Hiccup.
"What do you wanna do?" he asked.
"How about a duel?" you asked with a mischievous smirk.
