Chapter 17
Jade's POV
Nothing helped last night. I would sleep for about an hour or so before waking up from a nightmare. It's killing me knowing that Josh could be anywhere right now. It's now 12 in the afternoon and we are headed back to the hospital. Tomorrow Niall gets to come back home, we are all happy and hoping something like this doesn't happen again, to not only him but to all of us. The cops arrived about eight this morning questioning the boys and me about Josh. They wanted to know about my past with him and what he looked like as well as his friends so they could send people out to look for them. I really hope they find them; I can't put any of us in any more danger.
The car ride was pretty silent. I am the only one who has seen Niall and the boys are terrified on what they might walk in on. I didn't tell them imuch last night about his condition. All I could do was cry and question everything. I had so much to think about it completely slipped past my mind. Last time I saw him, he was covered in bruises. He had a small brace on his wrist to protect it making sure it didn't fully break. He had IV's in him and was hooked up to heart monitors and everything. I hope he looks somewhat better today than he did yesterday.
We arrive at the hospital about ten minutes later and get out of the car. There were paps everywhere surrounding the hospital. I'm guessing someone had told them where we were and what happened. We haven't had many paparazzi problems since I've been with the boys so this scared me. We all tried to push through the paps and into the double doors that led us into the emergency room. Once we finally got through we headed straight to the elevators and I pressed the button that led to the third floor.
Finally after so much silence going on, Zayn decided to speak up as we waited for the elevator doors to open. "How is he?" He asked nervously. The doors opened allowing us to get off the elevator. I had told him and the others about the condition I last saw Niall in and showed them the way to his room. Zayn patted my back telling everything would be okay but for some reason I felt like it would only get worse before anything got okay. I looked at all the numbers carefully before seeing room 342, Niall's room. We all walked in slowly and quietly in case he was sleeping. To my surprise he was sitting up eating and watching the small TV the hung from the wall in front of him. The loud noise the door made when it closed caused Niall to slightly jump and look at us. His face lit up once he saw everyone.
"How are you mate?" Harry asked while sitting on a chair beside Niall's bed.
"Still in pain but I'm doing better. Hospital food is terrible though." He sat the plate down on the stand beside him and went to lie down. He whimpered in pain and instantly sat up again holding his side. I rushed over to his side to make sure he was okay.
"Yeah, I can tell you feel better." I state sarcastically. I helped him lie down finally after about five minutes of him crying in pain pretty much. Poor boy, I feel so bad. This is all my fault. He patted the space next to him and I carefully crawled in, lying down beside him.
"Well I must be doing better. They changed my release date to today." I look at him surprised before I smiled widely at him. "My condition is better, I still have bruises but those will take quite a while to disappear, my head is feeling better, it still hurts when I move around too much but that's expected."
"Ni, that great news." He wrapped his free arm around me and pulled me closer to him.
"What about the brace? When can you get that off?" Liam looked just as shocked as me about the news that Niall just gave us. He gets out a day earlier? He still looks in a lot of pain. Can't say I can complain though. I couldn't sleep for nothing last night without him. I've missed my little leprechaun.
"I don't have to have it on at all times. Since it's only a small sprain, I keep it on whenever I use my hand and wrist too much. So I have to have it on during sports, concert events, meet and greets while doing autographs...things like that. I use it for about two weeks to a month before it is completely healed. When I am just at home doing nothing I can keep it off." Before anyone else can respond, a nurse walks in. She looks at her clipboard and writes a few things down before walking over to the monitors.
"Mr. Horan, you are free to go once you have gotten changed. Remember to take two of these pills a day for a week. It will help cause the pain in your abdomen to go away and it will also help your migraines. Try to lie at home and relax for the first few days so you will heal properly. Come back in two weeks for a checkup to see how you are doing. Have a good day sir." She took the IV out of Niall and handed him a bag before walking out. Niall handed me his medication before Louis, Liam, and I all helped him up and to the bathroom so he could change. Zayn and Harry walked out so they could start the car and pull it up to the front door of the hospital.
After ten minutes or so another nurse came in with a wheelchair just as Niall walked out of the bathroom. Niall sat down in the wheelchair, Liam on one side, Louis and I on the other as the nurse wheeled him out and to the elevator. Everyone had their own conversation going while I stood there just thinking. Of course I was glad Niall gets to come home today instead of tomorrow. I missed him last night. What if Josh comes back and tries to attack one of us again though? All I can seem to think about is Josh. I have a bad feeling something bad is going to happen again but I just wish he would go away and leave us alone. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I pulled it out to read a text.
"Awe, look at that. Niall gets out of the hospital early. Guess the boys should've done more damage. On the other hand though...I'd love for him to be there for the finale(; -Josh xxx"
Niall's POV
So I found out earlier this morning that I would be released a day early. I was happy to be going home early, I missed everyone. Of course I was scared that Josh would come back once he found out I am out of the hospital but right now I could care less. I was happy to be gone today and be back with the lads and Jade. That's all that mattered to me right now. I am currently in a wheelchair, in an elevator and waiting to go home. I look to my right and see Liam standing there. He seems more relaxed when he first came in but seems like there is still something bothering him. I turn to my left to see Louis smiling down at me. Jade is next to him and her face looks pale and blank like she had just seen a ghost. I go to ask if she is okay but the elevator makes a dinging noise signaling that we had just reached the bottom floor and can get off now. The doors slowly open and we all walk out. Well all of us except jade that is. I turn back to look at her, she seems frozen like she can't move or nothing. What could be wrong with her?
"Jade, babe, are you okay?" She shakes her head and walks out of the elevator and rushes out of the hospital. Liam, Louis, and I all look at each other confused before Liam chases after her.
Once we passed the paps and got to the car, the nurse and Louis both helped me off of the wheelchair and into the car. Harry sat on the passenger's side up front, Liam and Zayn sat in far back whispering about something and Jade was sitting by herself in the middle. She was curled up in a ball looking out of the window. I got in and sat beside her while Louis walked over to the driver's side and got in.
The whole car ride to the cabin was awkward and quiet. Occasionally you would hear soft sobs escaping Jade or hear people whispering. Every time I would try and comfort Jade, she only pushed me away and to be honest it hurt. I felt like I did something wrong. I kept thinking over what I might have done to her but the only thing I could think of was the fact that I met up with Josh. She seemed okay last night. What else could've happened?
We pulled up to the cabin and all hopped out of the car or van, whatever you would prefer to call it. I wobbled my way halfway to the house before Jade rushed to my side. My stomach was still killing me whenever I try to walk. She put my arm over her shoulder and helped me inside and down to our room. Once we got downstairs and into the room she laid me on the bed and pulled the covers up over me. She walked to the dresser and pulled out a pair of black shorts and a tank top for herself and got me out a pair of sweatpants and a white tank top as well.
"Are you okay with this or want something cooler?" She asked while holding up the sweatpants and shirt.
"That's fine." I mumbled. I went to get up so I could change but she protested.
"No, you're hurt. Stay." I groaned and lied back down. Jade stripped down and put on the shorts and tank top she got out for herself. I stared at her intently as she took off her jeans she had on and replaced them with her shorts. She took her shirt off and only had a sports bra on. I licked my lips hungrily before she put her tank top on. Okay so the two of us getting dressed and undressed in front of each other was a usual. We have gotten used to it but for some reason now I can't take my eyes off of her. I groan and pull a pillow from beside me and lay it over my face. She giggled softly before coming and sitting next to me. "Problems Horan?" I take the pillow off for a quick second to look at her, roll my eyes, and throw the pillow back on my face. She removes the pillow and helps me sit up.
"Why must you tease me?" She smiles softly before helping me take my shirt off. She ran her fingers over the bruises on my stomach. I tensed up and she removed her hand. The bruises still hurt, not as much as yesterday, but they still hurt. She brushed over them one last time before giving me my tank top to put on.
"Aw is someone getting excited? I'm sorry baby, didn't know I had that effect on you." She winked at me before handing me my sweatpants.
"Of course you have that effect on me. Have you seen yourself?" She started blushing like mad before getting up. I grabbed her hand and pulled her back down. "How am I supposed to put these on? My stomach hurts and I have this brace on my wrist. Help me?" I gave her my puppy dog eyes which always seemed to work. She shook her head disapprovingly before taking the covers off of me.
"You know, your arm is not broke, only sprained. I'm sure you could manage." She smiled shyly before unbuttoning my jeans. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have on my clothes from yesterday that had blood and dirt all over them. She slid my jeans off before I handed her my sweatpants.
"My stomach still hurts though besides, you know you like what you see." I shot her a wink before lying back down. She slid the sweatpants up my legs; I lifted my hips a little allowing her to slide them up the rest of the way before groaning in pain. Jade laid down on me carefully kissing up my stomach and to my neck; soon she found my soft spot and started sucking. I let out a soft moan before she pulled away.
"Are you sure you're okay?" She looked at me worryingly.
"I promise." Jade rolled off of me and stood up. She walked over to the TV stand looking for a movie and put something into the DVD player before walking back to the bed and laying down beside me. I scooted closer and wrapped my arm around her. She wants to tease me? Two can play that game. I saw she put in 'The Titanic'. After the first half hour of the movie or so she started looking tired. I lean my head down and give her a kiss on the cheek. She looks up and smiles.
I leaned down again my face hovering over hers only inches apart. I leaned in more and crashed my lips on hers. I move my left hand to cup her cheek while she moves and wraps he arms around my neck pulling me closer. Her fingers start tugging on my hair and I moaned in the back of my throat. I lick her bottom lip asking for an entrance which she gladly accepted. Both of our tongues fought for dominance before we both pulled away gasping for air. I moved down to her neck and quickly found her soft spot; I started sucking hoping to leave a mark. I heard her let out a soft moan as she pulled at my hair more. I pulled away and smiled at the hickey I left trying to hold back the moan threatening to escape when I heard someone clear their throat. I groaned and we both sat up.
"Yes Li?" Jade asked sweetly.
"I came to ask if either of you were hungry but as I see, you are both already too busy eating each other's faces off." I let out a chuckle and saw from the corner of my eye that Jade looked like a tomato from blushing.
"I'd love some food, whatcha making" I laid back down resting my head on Jade's lap while she talked to Liam.
"Spaghetti with some toast." At the sound of food my stomach made a grumbling noise. Jade smiled down at me and began playing with my hair.
"Sounds great, can you bring me mine? My stomach is killing me and every time a stand up for too long I get dizzy." I heard Liam walk towards us and pulled the covers off of me and Jade. "Hey I'm cold!" I yelled and pulled the covers back up over me.
"Oh thank god, I thought you were trying to mess with Jade while I was in here. You naughty, naughty kids." I couldn't help but to start laughing I grabbed my stomach because it hurt and continued laughing. After about ten minutes of laughing my ass off I finally calmed down.
"You know he can't do anything for a couple of weeks. He's hurt Li." Jade stated sympathetically and started messing with my hair again. She looked down at me and gave me a shy smile and a wink. Now it was my turn to blush.
"Hurt or not, I better not catch my little cousin having sex anytime soon." He stated more sternly. I bit the inside of my cheek to stop me from laughing once again. "I'll be back down with your food in a few." Liam left the room and I sat up, instantly regretting it. I got really dizzy and grabbed my head. I had a really bad migraine right now. I finally lay back down on my own pillow and looked up into Jade's eyes as she stared down at me.
"Want to take your medicine now or later?" I mumbled now and she got up to get my medicine and a glass of water. About five minutes later she came back with my stuff and sat me up again. I took one of the pills and handed the glass back to Jade. She sat it down on the nightstand and looked at me. I saw a mix of emotion in her eyes, worry, concern, embarrassment and...love? Was I seeing that right or was my mind just playing tricks on me? Did Jade love me? Now that I think about it, I question if I love her too. I would do anything for Jade no matter what the consequence was. I would sacrifice my life for her. She is beautiful, amazing, funny, when she blushes it's just so damn cute, how she gets embarrassed easily, how she's so honest and blunt about things, her smile, her eyes, her everything. She's just...Perfect! Maybe I am beginning to fall in love with Jade. I thought it would be too soon for that but I'd do anything for her. It all clicked together.

Liam soon came in with our food and we both ate like it was the first meal we've had in years. Once we were done eating I grabbed her plate and sat both of them on the nightstand. The movie was still playing. Jade rested her head on my chest before soon drifting off to sleep. I looked down and smiled at her before watching the rest of the movie.
An hour later the movie was over and I felt my phone vibrate. I picked it up and read the text.
"I'd hold onto her tight tonight if you don't want her going anywhere!
P.S. I may, or may not have had something to do with your early release -Josh"

WTF is wrong with Josh?! Can't he just leave them be???
So I wrote this chapter on no sleep. I couldn't sleep for the life of me so I stayed up all night writing this. I hope it turned out at least somewhat decent. The next chapter will be better(:
Omh so what's going to happen to Jade? How will Niall feel about all of this? I'll tell you what I think...They crazy!
Anyway, I'm hungry, I shall try and start the next chapter later today until then, enjoy your day :D
