<Keira's POV>

I sit in the hotel room, two weeks after meeting Bobby Singer, utterly bored. Lucifer went with the guys to investigate these two deaths. One guys turned into liquid human and the other got a bunch of really bad boils. I saw the pictures-I'm not really missing out on anything. I couldn't go with them if I wanted to anyway, I don't have any fake ID's yet.

Even still, being stuck in the hotel room with nothing by porn channels on the TV is not at all fun. I can't use Sam's computer because he put a password on it (cuz that's not suspicious or anything) and really, I'm not willing to bother him when he may be elbow deep in body juices.

They've been gone for two hours and I already washed everyone's clothes. I've been playing with the assorted weapons that they own, but I stay away from the gun because if I accidently shoot myself in the foot, I just know that Dean is going to say 'saw that coming'.

Just as I'm about ready to start inflicting physical harm from boredom, Sam and Dean walk through the door.

"Hey guys!" I say, excited that I'm no longer alone and bored.

"Hey, head's up," Dean says and tosses a jar at my head.

Glaring at him, I catch the glass container.

"What's in-oh my god!" I drop the jar on the bed like it's on fire.

The damn thing has crickets in it. Crickets!

"Why, Dean?" I ask.

What I really want to say is 'why would you bring that in here and better yet, why would you throw it at me?' but I don't.

"Those, were crawling around inside some cops head."

I grimace and feel my stomach roll. I don't really have to see these things anymore, I can imagine it easily enough.

"That's...gross. So are we thinking it's a witch?" I ask.

"No, not quite. All this stuff adds up to plagues," Sam says.

I frown and join him behind his laptop.

"Plagues? But crickets aren't a plague."

"Not crickets, locusts. And then theres blood and boils. Think Egypt."

I look at him and think 'oh hell'.

"Like that story in the Bible? With Moses?" I ask and he nods.

"Yeah, but these guys ate their way out of a cops melon. I don't quite remember that in the King James."

I look at the locusts crawling up the sides of the jar and shiver.

"Okay, so what do we do then?" I ask.

"Call Kris?" Dean suggests.

Sam shakes his head, his hair bouncing around when he does. I have to force my hands to stay firmly on the back of a chair.

"Remember what happened last time?" Sam reminds.

"Cas then," Dean says and both Sam and I shrug.

I've never prayed to Castiel. It's clear that Sam and Dean haven't prayed to him in a while either.

"Wait, he does answer prayers, doesn't he?" I ask.

Dean shrugs in an uncommitted way.

"We always had Kris pray to him. He almost always answered her," Sam says.

I gesture for Dean to try. He sits down on the foot of one of the beds, closing his eyes and putting his hands on his knees. It's really not orthodox, but if it gets Cas or Kris down here then I can't really complain."

"Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray to Castiel to get his feathery ass down here."

I frown at him. Cas doesn't seem like the kind of...angel to appreciate that kind of thing. I wonder how many time Cas has actually lost his temper with these two. Knowing Cas, never.

"You're an idiot," Sam says.

"Stay positive," Dean commands and I restrain a smile.

"Oh, I'm positive," Sam replies with a mockingly cheerful smile.

I can't help but laugh a little. After a second, Dean opens one of his eyes. I shake my head and he opens both. Sam starts to make some remark, but he's interrupted by the arrival of Cas.

"Hey Cas," I greet sweetly.

I'm not as shy around him as before, thanks to the fact that his wife is my best friend-but there's still some awkwardness there.

"Hello," he says.

"Why is that you answer Dean, but not me? Do you like him better or something?" Sam demands.

I was wondering that too, but I don't comment.

"Dean and I do share a more profound bond. I wasn't going to mention it. Of course, between the three original hunters-no offense to you, Keira-my bond is obviously strongest to Kristy."

I glance at Sam, but he just looks vaguely insulted at Cas. Well...this just got awkward. I quickly put us back on track, explaining what's happening. Cas confesses that some of the weapons of heaven have been stolen and that this is the work of the staff of Moses.

"But I thought the staff was used to turn an entire river into blood-not just one guy," I point out.

"The weapons isn't being used at full capacity. I think we can rule out Moses as a suspect."

I don't even have an answer to that, because well...what am I supposed to say to that incredible logic?

Sam and Dean point out the name of a kid that got shot a few years ago. I guess the dad didn't think it was gang the police said it was, because he called for an investigation. It didn't pan out, obviously, but that gives us a good lead. Cas zaps us into the home of the father.

The confrontation is short. It turns out it wasn't the father avenging the death of his son, but the dead boys brother. The Moses staff was cut into pieces and the part given to the boy was sold by an angel in exchange for his soul.

Cas knocks the boy out and brings him and us back to the hotel room. With my head spinning from all these strange twists, I take a seat on one of the beds, watching as Cas dumps the unconscious boy on the other bed.

"I can find out which angel he sold his soul to. It will be agonizing for him though."

I feel my eyes widen. Sam doesn't say anything, which surprises me. But Dean immediately jumps in.

"No. No way. You're not torturing that kid."

"Dean, we need to know who is buying souls in exchange for weapons," Cas says.

Dean looks at me for help. I'm surprised. I didn't think Dean would ever look to me for support on anything.

"Cas, I'm sure there's some other way we can look at the kid's soul," I try.

"No, there isn't," he says.

Well, when he puts it that way...

"Castiel, you said yourself that it will painful for him. There isn't anything else you can do?" I insist.

"No," he says forcefully.

I frown at him and do the only thing I can think of.

"Kris! Kristena! Do you know what your husband plans on doing?"

She appears suddenly, sitting on the bed beside me.

"What the hell is going on?" she asks, making everyone stop arguing and look at her.

Dean, looking like a little kid tattling, points at Cas and says all in a rush, "Cas is planning on torturing a kid to figure out who's buying human souls in exchange for heaven's weapons."

Kris frowns and turns to Cas, her expression confused and questioning. He must tell her telepathically, because second later she rolls her eyes.

"You could have called me. The troops will be fine for a little while," she says and he looks away, clearly not having any response to this.

Rolling her eyes again, she addresses the rest of the room.

"I can make sure the kid doesn't feel any pain, so don't worry about the kid."

She sits on the other bed, her knee beside the boys head and plays both her hands on his head, so  that her thumbs touch his temples. Cas rolls the right sleeve of his jacket and suit up so that his arm is bare. He reaches inside the boy, where light begins to shine from the spot Cas's hand is in.

I want to say something, but it's clear that Cas is using all his concentration to read the boy's soul and Kristy's focus is completely on keeping him from feeling any pain. What a team those two make-even when Kris gives Cas a look like she's going to pluck the feathers from his wings.

"Balthazar," Cas says suddenly, pulling his hand from the boy.

Kristy releases the boys head and looks at Cas.

"You were right," he says, "he is alive."

She nods, but doesn't look necessarily happy about it.

"Who?" Sam asks, speaking for the first time.

"Balthazar."

A/N: Okay, so you're going to meet probably my favorite character soon. But I would like to know which celebrity or whoever you see playing Keira.
