EMERY'S POV
January 1st
"Happy New Year!" I shouted, along with Hayes, Dell's, Nash, and a few of their friends. Well, Hayes' and Nash's friends.
I still haven't made that many new friends, but I got the job I was talking about! I'm kinda close wth Hayes' friends Tez and Alec. I also really really like Emma, his dance partner in Dancing With The Stars. Hayes thought we'd become good friends, and trust me, we have.
Hayes kissed me and then they opened wine bottles.
"You two are just the cutest!" Emma said, putting a hand on both of our shoulders.
"Happy New Years!" She said, drinking a shot, and handing us one.
Since its wine, I drank it, and so did Hayes.
Tonight has been crazy, and I've met a lot of new people. They call him Skate? And then there's Sammy. They're hilarious, I know we'll be great friends.
The whole night was amazing, and I can't even describe how much I love it here. California has already done so many things to my life for the better. I haven't even thought about my parents, they don't come across my mind anymore. I have Dell's, Hayes, and Nash. Those are the only people I need in my life. Without them I'm nothing. They've believed in me when no one else could, even myself, and I am forever grateful for that. I value our friendship more than anything. My friends, well, my sister (Dell's) my best friend (Nash) and my boyfriend (Hayes) are the best people anyone could ever know. How did I get so lucky with all THREE of them? I don't know, but it's surely a blessing.
In fact, I don't think I've ever thanked them. But they know how thankful I am for them.
Soon enough it ended up being four o'clock with no one, so we went straight to sleep.
-
morning
"We have a mess to clean," Hayes groaned, as we walked downstairs.
Empty cans, plates, and random things were everywhere.
We put on gloves not wanting to touch anything, and took garbage bags, throwing everything away. Every single time he picked something up, he complained. I don't ever think I've heard him complain so much.
When we finally got done, we decided we'd go to breakfast.
"I swear.."
"Hayes babe calm down," I said, squeezing his hand in mine.
We decided to walk to where we were going. It was really windy, making it even colder, and my face began to get red, well that's what Hayes said.
"Your little face is getting red too," I said, touching his nose.
We got to IHOP and sat down. Of course we ordered pancakes.
"So much better than yours," Hayes muttered, smirking.
"What was that?" I said, and he looked around and shrugged.
I put a little syrup on my hand and shoved it in his face, and I laughed. He looked at me and took his whipped cream, and shoved that in my face.
Soon enough, I was a sticky mess, and he had whipped cream everywhere.
"You two, out! And don't come back again!" A very short, chubby guy said, pointing to the door.
"Lay off the pancakes!" Hayes shouted as we were leaving, and I punched his arm.
"What?" He said shrugging.
"That was rude."
"He was rude."
"Babe we made a mess," I said laughing as he kissed my forehead.
When we got home we just watched Christmas movies. Everyone you could ever imagine.
We watched them from noon, to five o'clock. We stopped to go to the bathroom and make popcorn, that's it.
"Now what?" I said and he shrugged.
"What's Dell's and Nash doing," he said and I was the one shrugging.
"Let's prank them," Hayes said smiling, pointing to his camera.
"Okay. Let me get-"
"No you're not doing your makeup or hair or changing you look perfectly fine babe," he said, and it made me smile so I didn't care, he loves me like this and that.
"Hello everyone! It's Hayes and my beautiful girlfriend Emery. I know it's been a little while, but I'm back with a new prank, and it's on Dell's and Nash."
--
Hayes walked up quietly to their back door and wiggled their handle, and it unlocked. We quietly walked in and he went up to their bedroom, to see them crashed out on the bed.
We sat up a hidden camera in there, their kitchen, and living room. We called them to see if we could come over and luckily they answered, maybe it woke them up. We waited ten minutes then came in, then texted Sammy to come act like a robber.
It was fifteen minutes until he was there, and we heard the windows being opened.
"What was that?" Dell's said, standing up.
We were all in their bedroom, sitting on the bed.
When we heard footsteps we all began to freak out, well Hayes and I pretending to.
We took all our phones and put them under the bed so they wouldn't try to call the police.
There was banging on the door and the terror in their faces were hilarious, but I kind of felt bad, but kept it going. The door was kicked down and then Sammy was standing there, dressed as a robber.
"Put your hands behind your head, now!" Sammy said in a completely different voice.
Dell's and Nash did what he said immediately, and so did Hayes and I.
"Where's the damn money!?" He screamed.
"Sir, what money!?" Dell's said, trying her best not to cry.
"Shut the hell up! What's your name!?"
"Delilah, sir!"
"Listen here Delilah, I'd keep your mouth shut and quit talking! Where's the damn money!?"
"What money?" Nash said calmly.
"What's your name, kid?"
"Nash."
"Listen here Nash, when you speak to me, you call me sir! Got it?
"Yes, sir."
"Better, come with me!" He said after he tied their hands together with rope string.
"Before we go, I'm gonna ask you this one more time okay? Where's my money!?" He asked.
"Sir we don't have your money!" Dell's said, now full on crying.
"God dammit! You all are coming with me!"
He lead us downstairs into the basement where Tez was, and Tez laughed as Sammy took off his face mask thing.
"Gotchu good, did we not!?" Hayes asked, putting an arm around my shoulder.
"Tell the camera Hayes and I did good!" I laughed.
"Hayes and Em did good, Sammy you did great too. that didn't even sound like you!" Nash said.
"I got a thing that went over my mouth to make my voice different, ya'll were terrified," Sammy said laughing.
We spent almost the whole day watching the video of them, and laughed every single time, like it would not get old, and it most certainly didn't.
At eight o'clock, we decided we'd go get dinner at some restaurant, but it was only Hayes and I.
Sammie had a show to do and Nash and Dell's had plans, plus Hayes thought we needed to have a little us time, since his mom has been here and we stayed with Nash and Dell's for a while.
It was just a casual date, which was good. I wore a very light orangish sweater, along with black leggings and my black Uggs.

For my hair, I curled it just a little bit so it would make waves. For my makeup, I did a natural look, like always. I'm not really a big fan of the whole makeup thing. It looks good on others, I've just never really liked it on me.
"You look so adorable," he said, kissing my forehead.
"Well thank you babe, you do yourself," I said, leaning up to kiss him on the lips.
"You ready?"
"Of course," I said, and we left our house.
THIRD PERSON'S POV.
As they were walking to the pizza place, they didn't really talk, but they sure did have big smiles on their faces.
It was cold, and Hayes realized Mery was cold and gave her his jacket. Of course Mery refused to wear it, but in the end, she ended up wearing it.
Hayes didn't mind. He had on long sleeves anyways. Even if he was cold, he'd make her wear it for two reasons. One; she looked adorable it it. Two; he knew she was cold.
Once they got in the pizza shop, they were sat in a both and went across from each other. The whole time they were laughing at stupid things, silly things. About things they've done in the past they were embarrassed about, or little secrets that were funny that no one knew.
As they were laughing, things were also running through their heads. Like how their everything's are sitting right in front of them, watching each other laugh and at the moment, be happy.
Mery and Hayes always only wanted the other to be happy, and they thrived for it. They really didn't care about their own happiness. They cared about each other's.
But they were both very happy, just because they didn't care about their happiness didn't mean they weren't. Hayes made Mery happy, and it was also the other way around. Without each other, they'd be lost.
EMERY'S POV
"Thanks for coming, have a nice evening," the lovely waitress said as we were leaving.
She was very nice, her name was Mary. She had brown hair and she had it styled like all the other older women, which she was herself.
I feel a little bit bad for her, though. We weren't acting as mature as we should've. Hayes spilt his drink all over the floor and we laughed obnoxiously the whole time.
The only thing she did was smile or laugh a little bit when we did, and we gave her a 20 dollar tip for putting up with us.
There needs to be more people like that; people that are loose and not so uptight. Being uptight isn't fun, it seems like such a strict world, and I will never live in it. Being a kid and having fun is what life is all about. Even if your older, you can still act like a kid and have fun. Fun has no certain age limit, a lot of people forget that.
We climbed a huge mountain, going to the top and sitting down. It was one of the prettiest sights I've ever seen. All of the lights from building and from the street lights. It was one of them breathtaking moments where you can just stare and look forever.
As I got up from my spot to take a picture, I heard a click going off to. I turned around and saw Hayes taking a picture, and his phone was angled at me.
"You took a picture of your world. I took one of mine," he said, showing me the photo.
It was me taking a photo of the scenery in front of me.
"You are the cutest thing ever," I said, cupping his face with my hands.
"But your alive?" He said, removing my hands from his face, putting them in his, and leaning his forehead against mine.
"Smooth," I said.
"As always," he replied.
We spent a good while up here. It's now midnight and we're both not tired one bit, we're going on a mini road trip, the two of us, and our first destination is the gas station.
We bought plenty of Red Bulls and bunch of little smacks. When we got in the car, we had no idea where we were going to go. But that was the fun of it.
He took one road and it ended up being a highway, and we kept making turn after turn. We had a full tank a gas, each other, and nothing but open roads to take. This is something Hayes and I haven't done before, but I'm super excited. Hayes rolled the Windows down and turned the radio on to have Confident by Demi Lovato play.
It's time for me to take it
I'm the boss right now
Not gonna fake it
Not when you go down
Cause this is my game
And you better come to play
I sang the song loudly but not that loud.
I used to hold my freak back
Now I'm letting go
I make my own choice
Yeah I run this show
So leave the lights on
No, you can't make me behave
This time, I got a little more into it.
So you say I'm complicated
That I must be outta my mind
But you've had me underrated
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being confident
By the time the chorus came on, I was using my phone as a microphone and screaming the words. On the songs Hayes knew, he also ended up joining me, using his phone. The night was full of songs and getting out of breath from singing so long. Where we are at this moment, I have no idea and Hayes doesn't know either, but also at this moment, I'm too happy to care. This has been such an amazing night and nothing can ruin it. Every time I'm with Hayes no one can ruin it.
It's now four am and we're going to head back now. Hayes went to the maps app and clicked the arrow to see where we are. We have about a five hour drive back home, so we decided to just get a hotel and drive back tomorrow.
After we checked in, I put my phone on charge and when it turned on, I had plenty of missed messages.

Sammy😊:
why is Nash texting me if I'm with you
Oh my goodness.. I texted everyone back saying that Hayes and I went on a little road trip and that my phone is dead.
"Did you get a bunch of texts from Dell's and Nash?" Hayes asked.
"Yes I did. I'm seeing it as you did, also?"
"Yeah. Tons of them," he said, laughing.
Now it's five and I'm heading to take a shower. In the back of the car, we luckily had a little bit of extra clothes, like we always keep. It was just an old baggy sweatshirt and sweatpants, but I was only going to sleep in it. As I was putting in shampoo, I heard the bathroom door open.
"Babe?" I said, waiting for his response.
"Let me shower with you," he said.
"Hayes you are crazy."
"We've never showered before."
"I don't want to."
"Why not?"
"Not comfortable or confident in the way my body looks."
"Listen to me. We don't have to. But no matter what your body looks like, I love you unconditionally. Mery?"
"Yes Hayes?"
"I love you."
"I love you. More than anything in this world," I said.
And it's true. I love Hayes more than anything. How I am so blessed to have him in my life is beyond me. Sometimes, life does beautiful things. Hayes being in my life is my beautiful thing. Now, go on. Go find yours. :)
