We arrived back home and I felt that the pressure in my chest has disappeared considerably. Something was still there, not fully recovered. However, after today's session I feel like the wall was demolished. Now there were ruins in between us and it was in our hands to put them aside.
Violet walked around the living room and had a little conversation with Robert. He smiled as he hears the positive news about our session. He was the one who forced us to go into therapy. He didn't want us to give up like he and his ex-wife did. He wanted us to fight and I will never thank him enough for everything he did for us.
"I think I am going to the art room for a while." Violet announced.
Robert and I smiled at her before she left to the room. This is the first time since the baby loss that she wanted to go into her room. The pain took her over in a way she could not even allow herself to do what she loved. Neither had she gone to the hospital to volunteer like she used to. I guess that will take her sometime after all kids and hospitals must give her sorrow.
After she was gone, I went into my office and worked for a while. Robert came minutes later and helped me out. He has begun to help me with work, kind of as a counsellor. I never thought I needed one but it was nice to have someone who could give you their honest opinion while also knowing what they are talking about.
"I am happy Violet seems to start to go back to her old self." He tells me after we are done.
"I am happy too." I say.
"How is your relationship right now?" He asks.
"Much better. Things haven't changed much but I think I am ready to go on a date with her and see how things go." I say.
"Then go and ask her. She will love to." He encourages me.
"You think so?" I ask.
"Yes, of course!" He says excited.
"Yes, you probably right." I say. "Thanks Robert."
He gives me a nod before I make my way to Violet's art room. I knock and I heard her voice telling me to come in.
"Hey!" I say as I close the door behind me.
"Hey!" She says back with a smile, a genuine smile on her face.
"I wanted to ask you something." I start.
"Tell me." She says.
"Will you consider going on a date with me?" I ask while I touch the back of my neck.
Why I am even nervous? She is the girl I am in love with. She is the girl who still wears the engagement ring that holds a promise I never thought I will consider. She is the girl who turned my whole world around.
"I will love to." She says.
"Good. Be ready by 7!" I say.
"Where are you taking me?" She asks.
"Truth is I got no idea because I just came up with the idea. But even if I did it will be a surprise so you aren't getting a clue." I say with a smirk.
"You're a meany!" She grins.
"That I am!" I joke making her laugh.
"Come give me a hug." She begs me.
I smile at her before I approach her. I grab my arms around her while she grabs her around me. It feels good to be this close again. I am hoping that tonight's date goes well because I really want to make things better between us.
"You know I love you right?" I ask.
"I do. I love you too." She says looking into my eyes.
"No matter how many rocks they throw our way, I will never give up on us." I say.
"If you fall I will pick you up and I know that if I fall you will pick me up. I know neither will ever give up." She says.
I smile and lean down to kiss her. Her lips mold with mine to perfection. Not much pressure but still powerful and very meaningful. This kiss meant a new start, a promise that we will try to safe this, that we will fight together instead that against each other.
"I have been working on something." She says as soon as we pull away. "Don't get mad."
"I will not. Show me." I say with a comprehensive smile.
She pulls a draw out of the hiding place on her desk. In it there is a big hand holding and small hand. Every detail was perfectly drawn and it made me feel something on my chest.
"The big hand represents us and the small hand the baby. I am not trying to hold onto the pain. Drawing it is my way on letting it go." She tells me. "I will always hurt but I feel like I can move on now."
"I am glad to hear that. I want you to do whatever makes you feel better." I tell her.
"I am glad that I know that whenever you go after you die, the baby will be fine. It will be with my mom." She says with a soft smile on her face.
"It will be." I confirmed.
"Now I have two guardian angels." She says.

Thank you all so much for your birthday messages. I tried to answer everyone but sometimes wattpad was being anoying and it won't let me :(
Anyways, on my birthday day I had a suprise party! Two of my friends made me go out of the house to help them pick up clothes and knowing how much I love shopping, they knew I will not say no haha so after that they came back home with me for cake and when I arrived home everyone else was there! It was so surprising, I had no idea they were planning something! It was great because my closest friends were there and it was all very chill. Best Birthday Ever! :)
