Kamala's eyes widened in shock. "Your daughter?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I had no idea... you have a daughter why-.."
Julia cut her off. Her tears still continued to fall. "Had. She passed away a few years ago." she continued to stare at the painting, it almost felt so surreal, it was like she was speaking to her through the painting. Kamala captured her eyes so well.
"She was so young Kamala. I- I don't understand— how did you get everything right?"
Kamala ran her hands over Julia's shoulder, bringing her into a warm embrace. "I told you, I had a dream about her."
Julia continued to cry. Trying to gather herself together.
"What was her name, and how did she pass— if you don't mind me asking?" Kamala asked.
Julia, wiped her tears. Still staring at the portrait. "Anastasia. And um— s-she died from a car accident, a really bad one. It was all my fault." She choked up again.
Julia's voice trembled as she continued, "Kamala, it's all my fault. The car accident... it's my fault. I keep replaying that day in my mind, and it breaks me every time."
Kamala held her hand tighter, her eyes filled with concern. "Julia, what happened?"
Julia took a shaky breath and began to recount the memory. "Anastasia was in the back seat, humming to her music and watching her favorite kid shows. Her father and I were arguing in the front seat, our voices getting louder and louder. I was so distracted, so caught up in the fight, that I didn't see the car coming towards us until it was too late."
Julia's voice cracked, and tears streamed down her face. "The impact was so sudden. I remember the car flipping, the sound of metal crunching, and then everything went dark. When I came to, Anastasia... she was unconscious. I couldn't reach her, Kamala. I couldn't save her."
Kamala's eyes welled up with tears as she listened. "Julia, it wasn't your fault. It was an accident."
Julia shook her head, her sobs growing louder. "I should have been paying attention. I should have kept my focus on the road. If I hadn't been arguing, maybe... maybe she'd still be here."
Kamala wrapped her arms around Julia, holding her tightly. "You can't blame yourself, Julia. Accidents happen, and it's not fair to carry this burden alone. Anastasia wouldn't want you to suffer like this."
Julia buried her face in Kamala's shoulder, her body shaking with grief. "I just miss her so much. Every-time I think about it, I can just see the images. I remember how scared she was when we were arguing, she was crying and screaming. Saying "daddy stop. Don't hurt mommy." She was so scared, trying to protect me. And he blamed me you know.. was yelling at me telling me it was all my fault, telling the police and ambulance that I had a plan to kill either him or her."
Julia, chuckled as she wiped away her tears. She was hurt, and angry. Thinking about that day. "He made it seem like it was my fault— and I let his words get to me. Blaming myself all these fucking years. I remember just seeing her little body, being pry out of the car. I remember just being in so much shock, watching her lifeless body being put onto the stretcher, seeing her blood everywhere. Her father, was yelling at me, pushing me around, hitting me— telling me it was all my fault. I- just wish it was me instead. She didn't deserve any of that. I put her through so much."
Kamala continued to hold Julia's body in hers as she continued to tell her story.
"I blame myself for it is because, I stayed in the relationship with her father. If I would've left, she would've still been here."
Kamala nodded, understanding the weight of Julia's words. "It's natural to think about the what-ifs, Julia. But you can't blame yourself for his actions. You did what you thought was best at the time."
Julia's eyes were filled with tears. "I was so scared, Kamala. Scared of what he might do if I left, scared of being alone. But now, I feel like I failed her. I should have been stronger for Anastasia."
Julia took a deep breath, trying to steady her emotions. "Kamala, I never brought Anastasia up in our conversations because the pain was just too overwhelming. Every time I thought about her, it felt like my heart was being ripped out all over again."
Kamala nodded, listening intently as Julia continued. "I tried to completely wipe her out of my memory, to bury the pain so deep that it wouldn't surface. I thought if I didn't talk about her, maybe the hurt would go away. But it never did."
Julia's voice trembled as she spoke. "The pain of losing her hit me so hard that I felt like I couldn't breathe. It was easier to pretend she never existed than to face the reality of her absence."
Kamala reached out and took Julia's hand.
"It's okay, Julia. You don't have to go through this alone. Talking about her, remembering her-it's all part of the process. And I'm here for you, every step of the way."
Julia forced a smile, leaning on her shoulder. "She stopped visiting me in my dreams, it's crazy how she came to yours. When did you dream about her?" Julia asked, her voice still in a soft whisper.
"I had a dream about her the day before I met you but, I didn't think much of it. I couldn't really see her face at the time. And then I had the same dream, the night we met. She was running in a flowery field, just laughing. I had seen more face more, and realized she looked a lot like you. And then I had another dream about her at work, when I took a nap on my break. She had ran up to me, hugging me and smiled.. then— I woke up."
Julia's eyes widened, a mix of surprise and longing in her gaze. "It's almost like she was trying to bring us together, to make sure I had someone to lean on," she whispered, her voice filled with wonder.
Kamala squeezed Julia's hand gently. "Maybe she was. It's like she knew you needed someone who could understand, even just a little bit. And I'm glad she did because I'm here for you, Julia."
Kamala smiled softly. "She's always with you, Julia. In your heart, in your memories, and maybe even in your dreams again someday. And until then, you've got me."
Julia cuffed Kamala's face, bringing her in for a kiss. It was short, and gentle.
Kamala, sensing the heaviness in the air, tried to change the subject slightly to bring some light into the conversation. "Julia, tell me more about Anastasia. What was she like?"
Julia's face softened a bit as she remembered. "Anastasia was such a bright light, Kamala. She had the most infectious laugh and a smile that could light up any room. She loved dancing and would twirl around the living room in her little tutu, making up her own routines."
Kamala smiled, picturing the scene. "She sounds like she was full of joy and creativity. What else did she enjoy?"
"She loved animals," Julia continued, her voice warming with the memories. "We used to visit the animal shelter on weekends, and she would spend hours playing with the kittens and puppies. She always said she wanted to be a veterinarian when she grew up."
Kamala's heart ached for Julia but also felt uplifted by the beautiful memories. "She sounds like she was an amazing little girl, Julia. It's clear she brought so much happiness into your life."
Julia nodded, a small smile forming on her lips. "She was also incredibly smart for her age. The girl was 4 years old but, oh my— I used to think she was smarter than me at times." Julia giggled. "and she was just so loving and caring. Always helping others, sticking up for her lil friends in day care. She used to love watching me dance, loved when I would teach her new routines. Dance had became her passion."
Kamala smiled. "She was following into your foot steps."
Julia's smile faded slightly as she continued, "That's one of the reasons I stopped doing ballet and teaching dance, Kamala. Ballet was one of Anastasia's favorite forms of dance, and I used to teach her. Every time I tried to go back to it, the memories were just too painful."
Kamala nodded understandingly. "That must have been incredibly hard for you."
Julia took a deep breath. "It was. That's when I decided to start pole dancing instead. It was something new, something that didn't have those same memories attached to it. It allowed me to find a different kind of strength and expression."
Kamala gave her a supportive look. "I'm glad you found something that helps you cope, Julia. It's important to find ways to heal, even if it's through something completely different."
Julia nodded, appreciating Kamala's understanding. "Thank you, Kamala. Pole dancing has given me a new sense of purpose and a way to channel my emotions. It's been a difficult journey, but I'm finding my way."
The room sent completely silent for a moment. Julia eyes went back towards the portrait of her daughter, She bit on her lips to keep herself from crying, still forcing a smile.
"I love you baby. Mommy misses you so much." She whispered.
Kamala watched Julia with a tender expression, feeling the weight of the moment. She reached out and placed a comforting hand on Julia's shoulder.
"She knows, Julia," Kamala said softly. "She knows how much you love her. And that love will always be a part of you, guiding you through the hardest times."
Julia took a deep breath, letting Kamala's words sink in. "I hope so," she murmured. "I want to believe that she's still with me in some way, watching over me."
Kamala nodded. "She is. And every time you think of her, every time you talk about her, you're keeping her memory alive. That's something beautiful, something that will never fade."
Julia nodded. "The first time you dreamed about her. That was September 10th right?" Julia asked Kamala.
"Yeah."
Julia looked down, still with tears in her eyes. "That was day she passed. The 4th year mark of her not being here."
Kamala's eyes widened a bit. "And then all of a sudden I met you. I guess she was trying to bring us together."
Julia smiled, looking up at Kamala with teary eyes. She brought her into a warm embrace, keeping the position as she held her tightly. Kamala, had lifted her body so that she was now straddling her, still keeping the position. She wrapped her arms around her, bringing her in closer. They stayed like that for a good minute, enjoying the silence and the sound of their heartbeats.
Julia felt her eyes become heavy. "I think I could fall asleep like this," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Kamala chuckled softly. "Then just rest, Julia. I'm not going anywhere."
Julia closed her eyes, feeling the comfort of Kamala's embrace. "Thank you," she murmured, her voice fading as she drifted off to sleep.
Kamala continued to hold her, gently rocking back and forth. She whispered softly, "You're not alone, Julia. I've got you baby."
As Julia's breathing deepened, Kamala felt a sense of peace wash over her. She then decided to get up from the couch, not wanting to fall asleep in the art room again.
Kamala gently lifted Julia, careful not to disturb her too much. She carried her through the hallway, feeling Julia's sleepy weight against her. As they reached Kamala's room, she nudged the door open with her foot and softly laid Julia down on the bed.
Julia snuggled into the pillows, her eyes still half-closed. "Thanks, Kamala," she murmured, her voice filled with gratitude.
Kamala smiled, tucking a blanket around Julia. "Get some rest, Julia. I'll be right here if you need anything."
Julia nodded, her eyes already closing again. Kamala sat down beside her, watching over her as she drifted back into a peaceful sleep. She felt a deep sense of connection and purpose, knowing that they were both finding strength and comfort in each other.

Later that night
———-
"Mommy. Mommy.." Julia heard a soft voice call out to her. "Mom." She heard the voice call out to her again, feeling something shake her. Julia slowly crept open her eyes, her breath got caught in her throat. Her body became stiff to the bed, her heart beating out of her chest. Looking at her deceased daughter.
"Anastasia.. h-hi baby," Julia choked up.
She cried when Anastasia brung her in for a hug.
Julia's tears flowed freely as she wrapped her arms around Anastasia, feeling the warmth and reality of her daughter's embrace. "Is it really you?" she whispered, her voice shaking.
Anastasia pulled back slightly, her eyes filled with a gentle glow. "Yes, Mommy, it's me. I've missed you so much."
Julia's heart ached with a mixture of joy and sorrow. "I've missed you too, sweetheart. Every single day."
Anastasia smiled softly, her presence bringing an inexplicable sense of peace. "I know, Mom. But I'm always with you, watching over you."
Julia nodded, her tears still falling. "I love you, Anastasia. So much."
Anastasia smiled, pointing over towards the bed where Kamala was sleeping. "I like her. She's pretty and she's gonna keep you safe, okay? Daddy won't hurt you anymore." She smiled, showing off her dimples.
Julia's eyes widened, her heart swelling with a mix of relief and gratitude. "Yeah?"
Anastasia nodded, playing with her dress. "mhmm." She hummed, she sat up, playing with Julia's stomach. "Two, seven, twenty five. Two, seven, twenty five. Two. Seven. Twenty five." She repeated. Julia let out a soft giggled. "What are you doing?" She asked. Anastasia smiled. "Counting."
Anastasia's smiled faded. She had stopped playing with Julia's stomach, hopping out of bed. "I have to go now."
Julia's smile faded too, a pang of sadness hitting her heart. "Already?" she asked softly.
Anastasia nodded, her expression serious. "Just remember what I said. Kamala will keep you safe. And don't forget the numbers."
Julia watched as her daughter began to fade again, her tiny figure becoming more and more transparent. "I won't forget," she promised. "I love you, Anastasia."
"I love you too, Mommy," Anastasia's voice echoed faintly as she disappeared completely.
Julia lay back down, feeling the warmth of Kamala's presence beside her. She whispered the numbers to herself, "Two, seven, twenty-five," wondering what they could mean. But for now, she felt a sense of peace, knowing that Anastasia was watching over her and that Kamala was there to support her. She closed her eyes, the comfort of the moment lulling her into a restful sleep.
Morning
————-
As the morning light began to filter through the curtains, Julia stirred from her sleep. She felt a breeze, a sense of coldness. She looked over to the side of the bed, that was empty. She couldn't help herself but smile, thinking about how Anastasia came to visit her in her dreams last night, even though it all felt so real, as if she was actually there.
Julia heard the shower, and can see the fog come out of the bathroom. She smiled, removing her clothes so that she can join Kamala in the shower.
Julia quietly opened the bathroom door, letting the warm steam envelop her. She could see Kamala's silhouette through the frosted glass, and the sound of running water was soothing.
"Mind if I join you?" Julia called out softly.
Kamala jumped, startled from her presence. She smiled, wiping the soap from her eyes. "Come in."
Julia stepped into the shower, feeling the warm water cascade over her. Kamala reached out, pulling her into a gentle embrace. They stood there for a moment, letting the water wash away the remnants of sleep and the weight of their grief.
"Thank you for being here," Julia whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the water.
Kamala kissed her forehead. "Always. I got you, honey."
Julia looked at Kamala, admiring her. Her eyes ogling her body, traveling back up towards her face. She stared at her lips, soon bringing her in for a passionate kiss. she felt her heart flutter, felt love and just felt so safe in her arms.
Kamala wrapped her arms around her body, bringing her in closer.
Julia felt a surge of emotions as Kamala's arms enveloped her, the warmth of the water mingling with the warmth of their embrace. The kiss deepened, a tender yet powerful exchange that spoke volumes about their bond and the solace they found in each other.
As they pulled back slightly, Julia rested her forehead against Kamala's, their breaths mingling. "I'm so glad you came into my life."
Kamala smiled softly, brushing a strand of wet hair from Julia's face. "Same here" Kamala brought her in for another kiss, her hands traveling down her naked body.
Julia's breath hitched as Kamala's hands moved gently across her back, the touch sending shivers down her spine. She leaned in closer, their bodies now pressed together, feeling every curve and contour. The water continued to flow, adding to the sensuality of the moment.
Kamala's lips found Julia's neck, trailing soft kisses that made Julia's heart race. She let out a soft moan, her hands exploring Kamala's body with increasing urgency. The connection between them deepened, each touch and kiss a testament to the love and trust they shared.
Julia's fingers tangled in Kamala's hair as she pulled her in for another kiss, this one even more passionate. Their bodies moved in perfect harmony, the intimacy of the moment enveloping them completely. They lost themselves in each other.
Their kisses grew more fervent, each one a declaration of the deep bond they shared. Kamala's hands roamed over Julia's body, exploring every inch with a tenderness that spoke of their connection. Julia responded in kind, her touch becoming more confident as she traced the lines of Kamala's form.
The steam from the shower wrapped around them, creating an intimate cocoon. Julia's heart pounded in her chest, each beat echoing the intensity of their shared moment. She pulled Kamala closer, their bodies perfectly aligned, and whispered, "I need you."
Kamala's eyes locked onto Julia's, filled with a mixture of desire and love. She, cupped Julia's face, placing a soft and gently kiss onto her lips. Julia returned the kiss, adding tongue. Her kiss soon traveled down towards Kamala jawline, making its way towards her neck.
"I can't get enough of you." She whispered into her ear, leaving her marks on her neck. She continued to kiss down her body, her tongue and warm lips making its way down towards her stomach, going further and further to her sharp V line.
Julia was now on her knees, not breaking her eye contact from Kamala. She grabbed her dick, stroking it in her hands. Kamala, watched her, her breathing was heavy. She slightly through her head back, letting out a soft moan once she felt Julia's lips against her, kissing her tip, sliding her tongue gently against it.
"Let me take of you Kamala. It's my turn."
The water fell over her head. Her amber eyes. Twinkling from the soft light that lingered in the bathroom from the windows.
Julia took more of her into her mouth, swirling her tongue around her dick causing Kamala's leg to bend slightly, bucking. She quickly placed her hand on the glass for support.
"Oh my god." She whispered. Julia took her further into her mouth, gagging as it hit the back of her throat. Her eyes watered, her cheeks becoming sore from the length and fullness. She bobbed her head faster, her arms locked around Kamala's thighs, bringing her closer. Kamala moaned out loudly, letting them linger around the bathroom.
Julia withdrew her from her mouth, getting a moment to catch her breath. She stroked her in her hands, her saliva dripping from her lips. Kamala, had gripped her chin, running her finger against her lips. Her eyes darkening, as she continued to watch. Julia smiled, bringing her back into her mouth.
Kamala gripped Julia's wet hair, tugging on it. She pushed her head down further, hearing the loud slurping noises and gags coming from Julia.
"Just like that." Kamala moaned out. Pushing down her head further. Julia had tears in her eyes, as Kamala slowly fucked her throat. Her head was soon pushed back down, Kamala's length was in her mouth. She kept gagging, but took all of the pressure.
"Oh fuck!" Kamala moaned, feeling her cum fill Julia's mouth. She looked down at Julia with low hooded eyes, gripping her neck. She brought her up, crashing her lips onto hers. She reached over, turning the handle so the water would stop running. She lifted Julia into her arms, slowly getting out of the shower. Julia's legs were tightly, wrapped around her waist, soon feeling her back hit the plush covers.
Kamala, placed more kisses against her wet skin. She lifted Julia's leg, so that they rest over her shoulders. She continued to place kisses against her lower stomach, getting closer towards her opening. Loving the feeling of Julia's fingers, tangling her hair. she had spread her legs more, soon attacking her core. Her tongue swirled around her lips, sucking on her clit.
Julia's back arched from the bed, as she pulled more onto Kamala's wet hair. Her legs started to tighten more around Kamala's neck, feeling herself about to come to her high. Kamala's hands travelled up Julia's body, her hands cuffing her breast, massaging her nipples as she continued to devour her.
Julia squirmed, letting her moans fill the room. Her legs soon started to shake, feeling that burning sensation in her stomach. She gripped onto Kamala's, shoulders, her body collapsing deep into the bed. She moaned Kamala's name loudly, locking her legs.
Kamala had licked her lips, releasing Julia's legs from her shoulders. Their faces made contact with each other again, Kamala had stopped all of her movements, gazing into Julia's eyes. There was something so fragile and vulnerable in them.
She had pressed her forehead against Julia's, locking their hands together. The tension, the atmosphere in the room felt so unreal.
The sudden feeling of Kamala being inside of Julia, made her gasp, letting out a soft moan, knocking the air out of her. Kamala, connected their lips again, slowly thrusting herself in and out of Julia. Their hands were still intertwined, locked together tightly.
"You're so big." Julia mewled, biting down on her lip. She moved her hips, edging Kamala further inside. Julia moaned into Kamala's lips.
"Baby." She moaned quietly, her nails leaving crescent shapes on Kamala's chest. Kamala urged herself deeper, thrusting a little faster but not to fast. She wanted the moment to last longer. They weren't fucking like animals this time, it was slow, sweet, and gentle. They were making love.
"Oh my god.." Julia breathed, her back arching into the heat of Kamala. The length of her dick was rubbing a delicate spot inside of her. She squeezed her eyes shut, clawing at her back. Her toes curled, and her stomach started to heave up and down rapidly.
"Baby." She moaned out again. Kamala pressed more of her weight against her, her lips brushing against the side of her face. She left kisses against her neck.
"I love your pussy." She groaned into her hear, picking up the pace of her thrust. She interlocked their hands once agains, staring deep into her gaze.
Julia connected their lips again, bringing her body closer, clinging into her body as she came. She let out a hight pitched moan, still shaking and trembling from her orgasm.
Kamala collapsed on top of her, breathing heavy. She heard Julia's light sobs, hearing her heart beat out of her chest. She removed the wet strands of hair from Julia's face, she wiped away her tears. Their gaze never leaving each others, they just stared at each other with tears in their eyes.
Kamala gently cupped Julia's face, her thumb brushing away the remaining tears. "I'm here," she whispered softly, her voice filled with love and reassurance. Julia nodded, her own hand coming up to rest on Kamala's cheek, feeling the warmth and comfort of her touch.
They stayed like that for a while, finding solace in each other's presence. The intensity of the moment began to soften, replaced by a deep sense of peace and connection. Kamala leaned down and kissed Julia gently, a promise of their unwavering support.
