Honestly, Juliette should've guessed that the place that they were staying at in the city would be impressive, considering Emma's place in Franstend was impressive... But she just hadn't expected this because it was fucking New York City... She was expecting a hole in the wall, something humble, but this shit was ornate, and she couldn't stop herself from gawking...
This shit was way too fucking expensive for her to be around, how was this just in Emma's goddamn family and it was being treated like that wasn't insane?
"Jules." She was jolted from her thoughts and her adoration by Emma's voice, sleepy and almost stern in her ear as she looked down at him. He looked exhausted and frustrated and she could understand why - there had been a lot of pressure on them for this trip, they'd been in charge of the lodging and booking venues for The Broken Roses, mostly because she was the only one who possessed the needed connections to do so, but it still was clearly wearing on them. Part of Juliette wanted to ask the last time Emma had slept, but the other part of her valued not getting cussed out in Italian.
"What's up?" She asked, hoping that her tone didn't betray just how insane she thought it was that they were here, and just how many ways her brain was playing over that she could fuck up - like, she was sure that breaking something in here would take any money she had out of her college fund and put it right into the Walsh family's pocket.
Emma sighed, leaning his head against her shoulder with a yawn. She leaned over, resting against him.
What's up? Please. Tell me.
"You don't have to gawk, you know." She stiffened, feeling her heart drop. Fuck, is it that obvious? Really? Damn it. Emma let out a sleepy chuckle, clearly not seeing Juliette's panic. "Like, you can... But you don't have to." He said, and she cleared her throat, rubbing the back of her neck as her face burned with embarrassment - she knew that it hadn't been Emma's goal to humiliate her, but she still felt a bit humiliated because she really hadn't meant to gawk at anything, and she really didn't want it to be noticeable.
She wanted to take it back, or to carve her face off so that she never had to embarrass herself ever again, that sounded like a good plan.
"Sorry." She mumbled, and Emma lifted their head, their eyes widening as they placed a hand on her cheek. She didn't want to look down at them, but the way that they were staring sort of insisted upon it, so she did, seeing a soft, apologetic gaze fixed on her.
Okay, now I'm gonna cry, don't do that.
"Don't apologize... That was bitchy." It wasn't that it was bitchy, it was that Juliette was always scared that her friends were going to hate her for every little thing that she did, especially Emma... She'd never understood why Emma wanted to befriend her in the first place, they had enough cool shit in their life, why bother with someone as mundane as her? "I didn't mean for it to be bitchy, I just meant... You don't have to stare; you can make yourself at home." Oh. Juliette let out a breath and cleared her throat, gesturing around nervously.
She couldn't make herself at home in a place where there were probably priceless artifacts, how was she supposed to overlook that?
"I'm scared that if I touch anything I'll break it and then I'll owe your parents a fuckload of money." She said, and Emma waved her off as if that wasn't a worry that she should have, but she knew that the Walsh's had expensive taste, she'd been in their everyday house.
"Don't worry, most stuff in here is priceless anyway." Ah! So that was a terrifying statement. Juliette took a large step away from any furniture, right into the middle of the room as she rocked back on her heels, clapping her hands together.
Learn to be normal. Either one of us should.
"Okay, so that did not make me feel any better." Emma looked shocked, which... Okay, she understood not getting it, but come on...
How was that supposed to make her feel better? In what universe was that not gonna make her panic harder?
"It didn't?" She shook her head. "Fuck, it was supposed to, I'm sorry." Well, it was good to know that even the coolest, most well adjusted seeming people made stupid mistakes sometimes, that made her feel a lot less stupid than she had a few minutes prior.
"Telling me that I'll be ruining something one of a kind is not gonna make me feel better, Em." She said gently, not wanting Emma to take that too much to heart - it wasn't like they were trying to make her feel bad, it was actually the opposite.
She watched them chew on their lip, letting out a heavy sigh.
"That's a really good point, but I just meant... I honestly don't know what to say aside from if anything breaks, my parents won't be mad at you. They're very understanding people despite... You know..." She trailed off, making a vague hand gesture that sort of looked like a gun, puffing her cheeks out to mimic a shot going off. Juliette chuckled, nodding as she tucked her hands into her pockets, rocking back on her heels.
The crimes.
"The fact that they've killed people." She clarified, and Emma nodded, looking relieved that she'd caught onto their very poorly done game of charades, but why wouldn't she? They weren't that strange, the gun had pretty much told her everything that she needed to know.
"Yeah, that normally blows my whole 'they're understanding people' story right out of the water, but it's true." Juliette knew that. Francesca had never seen unreasonable, neither had Phil from the very little bit that she'd seen him, that wasn't the problem.
The problem was that if she broke something, the little demon in her brain was never going to let her live it down and she was going to have to wrap a chain around her feet and sink herself into the bottom of the Hudson river so that sh could never fuck anything up ever again.
"No, I know. Your parents are nice, I just hate fucking things up." She explained, and Emma sighed, shaking their head as they squeezed her hand softly.
"Amore Mio, don't worry about that." Well, that didn't actually do much to quell her worry, but she knew that if there was something to be scared of, not even Emma was worried about it, so maybe that would help eventually. "I've burnt buildings down, suffice to say that there is a very high bar with what is considered fucking up." Huh? She knew about the one building...
Was there more than one? One was a stretch... More than one was terrifying.
"So... Buildings is a little wild." Juliette said, and Emma chuckled nervously, rubbing at the back of their neck as they glanced away from her like they had something to hide. Was there more to the backstory? God, she really wasn't sure how much more lore she could manage to hold onto at this point, she was pretty sure that there was just way too much going on.
"You knew about that." He said weakly and Juliette shook her head - see, that was almost true but she wasn't going to sit here and pretend that 'buildings' was the same thing as a singular building - she could almost excuse one person accidentally burning down a building at twelve years old... Well, accidentally on purpose, but if it got much past that she was going to be more than a little bit concerned as to what the hell was going on with Emma.
"No no." Clearly that was not what Emma was wanting to hear, he was hoping they'd gloss right over that, but that wasn't really the way that she did things, and she was not going to start that blase attitude on a goddamn fire. "I knew about the building, not the buildings... What buildings?" She asked, emphasizing the s. Emma hung her head and sighed, shaking it back and forth before they looked at her apologetically.
"... The fire was not well contained." They mumbled, and Juliette sighed, letting her head fall into her hands... She was friends with a goddamn arsonist, like a bonafide motherfucking arsonist, how the hell was she supposed to deal with that properly without freaking out?
Like yeah, Emma was sweet and kind and more than had her reasons for doing what they did, but God, what the hell?
"You should be in jail." She said flatly and Emma grimaced, nodding as she tucked her hands into her back pockets.
"Trust me, I know." She shrugged, smiling nervously like she was worried that Juliette was going to arrest her herself, but that would be ridiculous. For one, she hated cops, and for two she did not have the authority to do that. "And yet here I am. Free as a bird." Mmm... Yeah. As much as she loved that she was lucky enough to get to be friends with Emma, she really was a little terrified that they were just walking the streets with the rap sheet they had.
"You terrify me."
"I know, but you love me so it's like... Not that bad, huh?" Emma asked, and Juliette frowned... Yeah, she wasn't really sure if that was what that meant, actually.
"..."
"I'm gonna go finish unpacking, you should do the same." Emma said hurriedly, clearly wanting the conversation to end or change just as much as she did. She nodded, rocking back on her heels... That would be great, but she actually had no earthly idea where the hell she was gonna be going.
"Right... I mean..." Emma seemed to catch on then, pointing her in the right direction.
"Down the hall, third door on your left that's where you and Esme are staying." Emma said, and Juliette nodded gratefully. She was sure that that information was given to both of them when they entered, but Juliette hadn't really been listening, she'd been too distracted by the building to actually listen.
"Thanks." Emma nodded, giving her a kind smile before they reached over to rub her arm softly.
"No problem." Emma turned then, wandering off into an opposite hallway before she disappeared into the room that Juliette was assuming that she was occupying with whoever was sleeping next to her, if anyone. It was completely feasible that they wouldn't be sharing a room, there seemed to be more than enough for everyone.
She walked to her room opening the door slowly.
"Hello!" She jumped, placing her hand over her racing heart as she looked into the room to see Penny and Shelby sitting next to Esme on the bed. Mmmm... Yeah, no she didn't really like that, that wasn't something she was condoning.
They needed to go.
"Why are you two in here?" She asked, keeping her voice deadpan as she turned to set her bag down next to Esme's. Shelby gasped, doing her best to sound like she was actually offended even though she failed miserably doing so.
"Rude, you could've said hi back." Juliette chuckled, rolling her eyes as she turned around with a wide, fake grin on her face.
"Hi, why are you in our room?" She asked again, making sure to keep her tone more level because apparently the jokingly annoyed tone hadn't read... Even though she was a bit nervous at the group that had assembled.
"We're hanging out." She narrowed her eyes... But why?
"Okay... I don't trust that."
"You don't trust us?" Penny asked, and Juliette shook her head. Nope.
"Never." They all looked hurt for a long moment, long enough that Juliette almost apologized and clarified her joke, but Shelby spoke before she could.
"That's... Honestly, really fair, actually." Shelby said, and Juliette nodded, relieved. Obviously she trusted her friends, but when they were all together like this, how could it possibly be something that didn't make her want to crawl out of her skin?
"I know."
"So, Juliette." She looked up from her bag, raising an eyebrow as she looked over to see Shelby, Penny, and Esme lounging on the bed, all looking at her with wolfish grins that she did not appreciate because she could not read them.
"What?" She asked, and Penny straightened up, giving her a wide smile that she was very worried about
"I heard through the grapevine-." Esme raised their hand with a proud smile.
"Me. I'm the grapevine." Penny elbowed them, making their smile drop as they glared over at them and Juliette fought the urge to laugh... Sometimes it was hilarious to watch their interactions. "Ow." Penny gave them a warning look.
"Don't ruin my bit." Oh. A bit? Hate this already.
"Okay, damn. She heard it through the grapevine, I guess-." We are not doing this.
"What did you hear through the grapevine?" She asked, wanting to rush this along as quickly as she possibly could.
"That you and Esme were late getting to Emma's last night because of a certain skirt." Shelby said, and Penny leaned forward, nodding as her smile widened. Oh, I really don't like a single thing that's going on here.
"You know, I heard that too, Shelby." She gestured between the two of them. "Same grapevine." Mmmm... Kill me.
"Well, did you also hear that she brought them with her?" Shelby asked, and Penny nodded, tapping her chin like she was thinking about it. Juliette grimaced, looking away... God, this was painful, they might as well just as her to strip, like she wouldn't do it, but it'd be less painful.
"You know, I think the grapevine may have mentioned that-." She cut her off, clearing her throat as she looked at them both expectantly. if they were going to ask her about something, she wanted them to just bite the bullet and ask.
"Whatever this bit is, I hate it. But you're not lying... What are you getting at?"
"Show us the skirt." She shook her head.
Why? The only reasons she could come up with her unfathomably gay, and currently she was feeling close to her homophobic roots.
"Perverts." She said, and they all gasped like she hadn't said something that was completely and utterly accurate.
"Us? Perverts? We aren't perverts, we're curious for scientific reasons." Shelby said, and Juliette rolled her eyes, opening her mouth to speak, but Penny beat her to it. I had words I was going for, but okay.
"Gay scientific reasons." Right, so she had no idea how that was meant to convince her of anything aside from the fact that she wanted to crawl right outta her own skin, but either way she had to let them know how badly they were failing.
"Yeah, that actually isn't doing anything to convince me, if you were curious." She said in a deadpan tone and Shelby sighed, shaking her head as she gave her a pleading look, one that would've worked when they were younger, but had less of an effect on her now - she was more okay with letting Shelby down now.
"Damn..." "Come on, just show us. We're being so well behaved." She chuckled, shaking her head... Behaving wasn't really what she wanted to call this, it was more like... They were waiting for her have her guard down.
"You're all giving me a grin that makes me feel like a prey about to get eaten." She said, and Penny raised an eyebrow, leaning a little closer.
"Mmm... I mean, if you insist-." She cleared her throat, giving her a look... She didn't need to think about that right now, to imagine how Penny's tongue might feel if they were too... Well, if she let her...
No. Enough.
"Stop that." Penny put her hands up in surrender, clearly not apologetic at all.
"Damn, it was a joke, lighten up." Never. "Just let us see the skirt... We'll behave, I promise." Good. You'd fucking better.
"Okay. Close your eyes." She said, and they all started to protest, but she shook her head - if they wanted to see her, they could close their eyes.
"What?! Even me?" Esme asked, and Juliette nodded, crossing her arms across her chest - honestly, she was considering making them leave the room entirely for talking about this enough that they were wanting to see the skirt.
"Especially you, grapevine." She said, putting quotes around the word as she cringed. God, this whole thing was just... Embarrassing.
"Damn..." "But-." Esme tried, and Juliette leaned down, kissing Esme gently before she gestured for them to close their eyes, which they did... She hoped that the rest would follow suit, and she didn't really have a reason to believe that they wouldn't, they were all fairly respectful of her boundaries.
"No buts." She said, hearing sighs of discontent behind her, which she should've expected - of course the perverts were going to want to see her naked, that was something that she should've expected.
"Demanding." Yeah, that's me. "Kinda sexy." Penny murmured and Juliette rolled her eyes, taking the skirt out with a sigh... God, this conversation was interesting, and she couldn't wait for it to be over and for life to be normal again, she liked when her life was normal.
"I know, right?" Esme asked, and Juliette chuckled, shaking her head as she cleared her throat, wanting to lay down another ground rule, one that she wasn't sure was always needed, but was always a fair one to put out with a group like this one.
"Oi. Knock it off." She paused, looking back at them again. She had to say one more thing. "And if any of you chooses to touch my ass, just know that I will take that as the go ahead to kill each and every one of you, are we clear?" She asked, and they all started to protest to her, which was insane.
She knew they were kidding but damn.
"Well, now that doesn't seem very fair-." No no.
"You would all die for your friends, right?" Juliette asked, and they all nodded.
"Right." Amazing, that meant that she got to test that theory because if they did that, they would be dying for their friends.
"Well, touch my ass and you will." She said firmly, which was clearly what none of them were expecting out of her, but it was what was needed. Firmness. "Easy as that." She said, tuning away from them as Esme let out a sigh.
"The lady makes a point." She smiled to herself, her heart feeling warm at the fact that her partner had so easily taken her side.
"Pussy." Hey!
"Yeah. I get a lot of it from her." Juliette's eyes widened as she turned back around.
That was not what she needed Esme to say, especially not with that shit eating grin on their damn face. I am singlehandedly in control of how often you get fucked, do you really wanna piss me off that badly?
"Esmeralda Valentina Panchek." She snapped, seeing both Penny and Shelby's eyebrows shoot up in surprise as Esme frowned.
"Damn!" Shelby sighed, placing a hand over her chest. "Shit, that scared me." She breathed, and Esme nodded.
Yeah. Be scared. Watch your mouth, dude.
"I'm sorry, baby." Good girl. "I should've thought before I spoke." Juliette nodded, fiddling with the skirt in her hands.
Thank God.
"Like, you didn't lie but behave." She insisted, and Esme nodded, looking apologetic even without their eyes, which she didn't realize was possible... They were just so soulful; it seemed like it was needed.
"Yes ma'am." Her eyes widened as she heard Shelby snort and saw Penny lean forward a bit.
Fuck.
"Ma'am, huh?" Penny asked, sounding all too pleased with herself now that she'd learned that knowledge. Juliette wanted to fall through the floor as she tripped, doing her best to get into the skirt before she stood up a bit, not wanting to sound flustered by the fact that that had been said.
"What about it?" She asked, proud of how smooth her voice had come out. Penny chuckled, crossing one leg over the other as she bit back a large grin... God, even though she wasn't looking at her, Juliette still could practically feel Penny's gaze, non-existent as it was.
"Getting quite a glimpse into your personal life, and I'm really not hating the image that's being created for me." Ugh.
Like... Was that a little hot to hear? Yes.
But still. C'mon.
"Again. Perverts." She groaned, making sure that the skirt was zipped properly before she looked in the mirror... Did her stomach always stick out over it like that? Had it been like that the night before? She couldn't even remember.
"We're just making casual conversation!" Shelby said, sounding almost defensive as Juliette sighed, turning around... Part of her wanted to pull it down a bit further, to make it less short than it really was, but she knew that that wouldn't be fair to what it really looked like.
She cleared her throat.
"Open your eyes." They all did, and she cleared her throat, stepping back. "What do you think?" The room was silent as they cleared their throats, nodding and looking amongst themselves. She noted that even though Esme had seen it before, they still blushed just as hard as the first time.
Cute. Just them.
"Damn." Shelby breathed, and Penny folded her hands in front of her mouth for a moment before letting them slide down to her lap, nodding appreciatively, her gaze never leaving her body. She felt almost naked in front of her, her face burning as she took a step back from the group.
This was a lot.
"Holy shit, Jules." She looked over at Esme, clearing her throat as she placed a hand on their thigh, looking at them seriously. "Esme... You're braver than me, we would not have made it over last night at all." She said, and Juliette felt like her knees were going to give out... She wanted them to, maybe the ground could open up and swallow her whole.
They were no better than men, were they?
"Right? I held back so much." Esme sounded so proud of themself, as if they hadn't made them run four hours behind.
Shelby let out a low whistle, gesturing to her thighs.
"Not on her thighs, damn dude..." She said and Juliette looked down, eyes widening... She hadn't realized that the marks that had been left behind were visible. She bent down, trying to cover them with her hands, but there were just too many of them.
"Shelby." She hissed, but that did nothing to deter her, not that she had really thought that it would.
"What did I say? Nothing that wasn't true and completely obvious, they must've been hungry." Juliette sighed, covering her face with her hands as she willed God to take her already. That smiting is so late, please do it now.
"Starving, actually." You are not helping. "Always." They breathed, and Juliette bit back a whimper at the sound of their voice which was... Humiliating, but she really didn't expect anything else out of herself, that was sort of normal.
"You're so fucking real for that." Penny's voice was low, sending a shiver down her spine as she glared at her, trying to look unaffected. Shelby smirked over at her, and then at Juliette, her thoughts clear. Please stop remembering my sexual fantasy so openly. It makes me want to eat glass and die.
She looked back over at Penny, who's eyes were very clearly settled on her thighs... Like she was trying to stare between them as she chewed on the tip of her thumb distractedly.
Jesus Christ, woman.
"Penny." She raised an eyebrow, but didn't bother looking away, like the thought of it was just nowhere near her mind.
"Hm?" Hello? You know what I am saying!
"My eyes are up here." She tried, but all Penny did was nod and give her a thumbs up.
"Oh, I know... I'm not looking at your eyes right now, baby." Baby... "Maybe later." Shit.
"Jesus fucking Christ." She knew her face was burning and there was nothing she could do to stop it... Penny's gaze was heavy, so was Esme's, so was Shelby's and even though she knew that they weren't being serious right now, she couldn't help but feel her heart race. Why are my friends hot? Should've gone ugly. "You three are the worst." She groaned, letting her hands slip from her face as she Shelby shrugged, leaning forward with a grin.
"We're queer! We can't help it!" Shelby said, as if that excused it entirely, but by that argument, every single person they'd come with aside from Micheal would have every right to be as horny as they were for her.
Which like... She was hot but was she really that hot?
"Everyone in this house is queer." She argued, and Shelby shook her head, giving her a look. Micheal. I know. I know about Micheal, I feel like it's a given at this point.
"That's not true, Micheal's straight." She said, and Juliette rolled her eyes... She wasn't sure if she had the energy to defend herself on why she hadn't said Micheal, plus she could tell that she wasn't really offended by the smirk on her face.
Bitchass.
"Right. I knew that, I just sorta... In my head I'd like added the caveat of 'except for Micheal.'" She said, putting quotes around the words as she did. Shelby nodded, leaning back on her palms.
"It's a given, you're right." Okay so why make me explain myself, you bastard?
"Now, back to that skirt..." Penny started, and Juliette sighed, shaking her head.
She wanted out of the skirt.
"Or." She clapped her hands together, gesturing towards the door. Get out. Welcome overstayed. "You could all leave so I can change out of it." She said, wanting her sweatpants back on so that she could be comfortable.
"Oh, what Esme gets a private show?" Penny asked, and Juliette nodded. When did Esme not get a private show? Wasn't that part of them dating and practically living together? Everything they did was a private show. "Rude." Is it?
"They always get a private show." Juliette pointed out, and Shelby sighed, pushing herself off the bed as she gave Juliette a look that she knew was joking, but was almost convincing enough that an apology threatened to fall out of her lips... And then she remembered that Shelby was being a little freak and the apology disappeared.
Freaks don't get apologies.
"Fine, we're leaving." Shelby sighed, and Juliette nodded. That was exactly what she thought was going to happen, and if it was going to be anything else she was fully and completely ready to shove them out the door and close it in the most comical way possible.
"Good." Before she could shut the door, Penny turned back, her expression gone from joking to worried in a single second, like she was scared that she'd done something wrong - she hadn't, Jules just wanted some time to change.
"Jules." Oh. Yeah, she thought she was in trouble.
Fuck.
"What's up, Pen?" She asked, wanting to put her at ease. Penny cleared her throat, rocking on her heels as she tucked her hands behind her back... It was odd to see her so sheepish.
"I'm sorry if anything we said made you feel uncomfortable-." Juliette cut her off, reaching out to place a hand on her arm as she shook her head. That wasn't why she was kicking them out, she just wanted the skirt off and for the jokes to stop because they were making her blush.
"Pen, chill out. You're fine, I wasn't upset." She insisted, and Penny let out a sigh of relief, looking over at her nervously, like she didn't quite believe her.
It's okay.
"Promise?" She asked, and Juliette chuckled, nodding as she patted her arm softly. Everything was okay. She was okay, and they were okay.
"I promise, now go hang out with everyone, we'll be out in a second." She insisted, and Shelby cleared her throat, raising her hand.
Oh, I hate you.
"She's still got the skirt on; it could be an hour." Shelby mumbled, and Juliette rolled her eyes, sighing as she shook her head.
"I'll cuff them if I have to." Her eyes widened as she realized the error of her ways... She should've thought of a different thing to say, now they'd stay longer. Penny smirked, leaning around Shelby as she did.
Oh God.
"Oh? That's something I would love to see." Penny said, and Shelby nodded, putting her foot in the door as Juliette went to close it, making her curse under her breath... That had not been her intended purpose of that sentence, she just hadn't thought about what she was saying until it had already left her mouth.
"Me too actually, maybe we should stay-." Juliette shook her head, gesturing for them to walk down the hallway away from her as her face burned. Obviously, she understood the visual appeal that might trick them into staying, but they wouldn't actually get to see anything that she'd said.
"Out." She said firmly and Penny groaned, hanging her head back.
"Oh, come on." Juliette rolled her eyes sighing as she shook her head, resisting the urge to say that Penny had probably already seen that multiple times before she finally closed the door on both of them, turning back to Esme with an accusatory point.
"You." Their eyebrows shot up as they pointed at themself, crossing one leg over the other.
"Me?" They asked, and she pushed their legs back down flat next to each other so that she could settle on their lap. Esme grasped her waist, looking down at her chest before looking back up at her, hands slipping down to her thighs.
Cute.
"Are trouble." Esme smirked, hands wandering more as they leaned in, pressing a kiss to her lips.
Hi love.
"You knew that when we got together, my love... Everyone told you that, actually." Esme murmured, their hand slipping around to her ass as they grinned up at her. She sighed, pushing their hand away even though she loved the feeling of their fingers... It was like going against nature to not let them touch her, it was painful.
"You're not gonna get to touch me right now." She said and Esme gasped, placing a hand over their heart like that was the most devastating news they had ever received and not something that they had expected from the start. She knew they knew that, this had to be some kind of joke.
"Why not?" They asked, pouting in a way that made her chuckle as she gripped their chin, bringing them in for a soft kiss.
"Because they're all waiting for us." She murmured, and Esme's hands slid to her low back, pulling them closer together as she gripped around them with her thighs, fighting to keep her gasp at bay... That would only egg them on.
"Can't they wait a little longer?" They asked, their hands tracing over her spine as she arched into them, chewing on her lip... They really did make sticking to her guns into something that was quite difficult sometimes, which would be admirable if it wasn't so annoying to what she was trying to do in general.
"No." She traced gently over their lips, leaning down to press a kiss to their cheek. "But... I'm all yours tonight." She murmured, hearing their breath catch as she pulled away, a look on their face that told her exactly what they were thinking.
"Oh yeah?" They asked, seeming to love the sound of that if the smile on their face was anything to go off of. She pulled herself off their lap, dragging them to their feet as she rested her head against their shoulder.
"Mhm..." She turned away from them, gesturing towards the large mirror in the corner of the room... She was more than sure that this was not what Emma's family had in mind for a mirror that was probably worth more than she'd ever see in her life, but... Yeah. "I think we'd look really good in that mirror over there." She said, and Esme groaned behind her, soft and sweet.
"Fuck me too..." They pressed a kiss to her cheek, wrapping their arms around her waist as they stared at her in the mirror, seeming to imagine each and every movement. "Good thing I packed the strap, huh?" Esme asked, and Juliette raised an eyebrow, looking back at them before she turned around in their arms.
Was that... Did she say they were gonna do anything on the trip? She thought it would be more assumed that they wouldn't be.
"Wishful thinking?" Juliette asked, and Esme chuckled, shaking their head in a way that made her bite back a moan... There was just something about them being so fucking cocky that was sexy as hell.
And if their friends weren't waiting, she'd literally give it all up to let them have her right now.
"More like... I know how we are." Esme sighed, kissing softly up the side of her neck as she sighed, leaning into their touch, placing her hands over theirs... If she didn't stop them now, then Shelby's prediction would come true and she could not have that.
She would never hear the end of it. She turned away from them then, shucking the skirt off. She felt their hands on her bare skin before she slid her sweatpants on, smiling to herself. So touchy.
"Mmm... Good point." Esme kissed her softly and she sighed, leaning into it before she pulled back, patting their cheek lightly. Do not let yourself get distracted right now. "Now c'mon, let's go join our family." Juliette said, pressing one last sweet, slow kiss to Esme's lips before she linked their hand with hers, leading them towards the door and out of it, down the winding hallway and into the room where everyone was sitting in - she wasn't sure if she could call it a living room or if there was some fancy uppercrust word for it...
Eh.
They were living in it, right? That made it a living room. If they were corpses... Maybe not so much.
Morbid. Knock it off.
Everyone looked up as they entered the room, and she saw Esme, Shelby and Penny exchange surprised looks.
What's so shocking about this? You knew we were coming.
"That was quick." Shelby said, and Juliette nodded. Why wouldn't they have been quick? Even if she'd wanted to do anything with Esme - she obviously did, she always did - she couldn't do that knowing that they were all sitting out here, probably timing them, probably making jokes.
She had to stop them.
"Mhm." She raised an eyebrow, looking down at Shelby. "Didn't expect that?" She asked, and Shelby shook her head.
I'm gonna lick your kidneys. I don't know how, but I will find a way to lick your damn kidneys while they're still in your skin.
"Why not?" Carly asked, leaning around Becky to look at Shelby, who leaned closer to her, putting a hand over the side of her mouth, like that actually did a single damn thing to silence what she was saying.
You suck so bad.
"Because Jules was trying on her mini skirt and let me tell you-." Becky held up a hand to silence Shelby, and for a moment she was going to thank her, but then she noticed the smirk on Becky's face as she looked at her.
Oh no. Not you too...
"I cheered with her for years; you don't have to tell me a single thing." Juliette gasped, crossing her arms across her chest. Bitch! What the fuck?!
"Becky!" That earned her an apologetic look, but that wasn't enough. How was she ever gonna recover from this? "You said you didn't look!" Becky shook her head but that was what she'd said a few months ago when Juliette asked her that exact question - she'd said that she never looked at her...
Right?
"Uh uh. I said I never tried to look. There is a difference." Becky said, and Juliette sighed, resting her head in her hands. She really hated that because technically, Becky wasn't lying or anything, but she really hated that knowledge, nonetheless.
"You're just like the perverts." Juliette sighed, crossing her arms across her chest as she gestured to the last four unsullied people in the room... If they said anything, she was really considering seeing how far the drop was from the damn penthouse... It had to be life threatening, right? That was the goal. "Currently Emma, Tegan, Micheal and Carly are the only people I trust in here." Carly chuckled, shaking her head as she crossed one leg over the other, leaning into Becky.
No! Traitor! Gay traitor!
"Oh, count me outta that." Carly said, and Juliette sighed, hanging her head as she shook it, feeling more anguished than she honestly thought that she would considering the fact that part of her had already known that this betrayal would be occurring.
Still stung.
"Goddamnit." She heard someone clear their throat.
No.
"You can trust me." Micheal said, and Juliette nodded, letting out a sigh of relief.. Her whole world would feel like it was upside down if Micheal was suddenly like 'oh! Me too! Me too!' She'd probably have to kill herself... Wouldn't take much right now.
"I know." He leaned forward, giving her an earnest look.
"I'm not ever gonna be attracted to you." Juliette chuckled, nodding as she reached over to squeeze his hand.
Her perfect boy.
"I know, Micheal." She smiled, nodding before she leaned back in her seat, letting go of his hand. "Thank you." He beamed at her, nodding as well.
"Anytime." Her one truly platonic friendship.
Well... And Tegan.
Tegan was in there too.
