Gulf was on his way to the university when Kao called him. Smiling, Gulf answered the call while heading towards his motorcycle.
"Hello?" Gulf pulled out his keys.
"Are you sure you don’t want me to pick you up?" Kao asked, pouting. He was ready to drive to Gulf's apartment, but the younger man had stopped him.
"We can meet at the university," Gulf said, getting on his motorcycle.
"But I miss you now," Kao said, dismissing his driver to drive himself.
"That's okay. It makes life more interesting, doesn’t it?" Gulf said, leaning on his motorcycle.
"No. If you were beside me all the time, it would be interesting. I wish I could hug you now," Kao said, leaning into the driver’s seat and playing with the steering wheel.
"Such sweet words in the morning," Gulf smiled. Deep down, he missed Kao too but had to act less spoiled.
"Of course. I’ve loved you for so long that now I can express every word I meant to say before," Kao confessed, making the younger man blush.
"You..." Gulf wanted to scold Kao but was too busy blushing.
"I know you’re blushing right now. If I were there, I’d kiss you all over," Kao’s words grew bolder, making Gulf threaten to hang up.
"Fine, fine. I’ll stop. But when I see you at the university, you better be ready for my love attack, dear" Kao teased, making Gulf hang up.

The scene from that morning replayed in Kao’s mind as he held his head in the car, trying not to lose control.
"We will be there soon, Sir," Kao’s bodyguard informed him. After the call from his assistant, Kao couldn’t control his tears, making his bodyguard worry.
They decided to drive Kao there, fearing he wouldn’t be able to drive himself. Kao tried to calm down, but Gulf’s face kept replaying in his mind, making it impossible to stay calm.
When they arrived, Kao immediately got out of the car and went to his assistant. His assistant guided him to an operating room and explained that Gulf had been in there for an hour and the doctors hadn’t come out yet.
"How could this happen?!" Kao pulled his assistant by the collar, making the man scared.
"I told you to keep an eye on him, didn’t I?! How could you let this happen?!" Kao shouted, making his assistant tremble. He calmly held Kao’s hand and explained.
"There was traffic in front, and my car couldn’t get through, but Mr. Gulf’s motorcycle managed to avoid it. I lost him for 20 minutes. After I reached the university, I noticed he wasn’t there yet, so I went back to find him. When I turned a corner, I saw a commotion, and Mr. Gulf was under a car. I’m sorry, Sir. I’m incompetent; it’s my fault," the assistant explained clearly. He was terrified when he saw Gulf’s condition on the road.
If Gulf didn’t survive, his boss will die too.
Kao tried to read lies in his assistant’s eyes but knew he wouldn’t lie. Kao was dizzy from stress, so he sat down. His hands were trembling as he waited for the doctors.
"Find out who did this and if it was really an accident. If you can’t, be ready to pack your things," Kao ordered his other employees. They bowed and quickly went to investigate.
"Please, God... Don’t let anything happen to Gulf, or I’ll die too. I can’t live without him, God... Please..." Kao repeated, terrified for his dear life.
An hour passed, and the doctors came, making Kao stand up hastily.
"Doctor, how is my boyfriend? Please tell me he’s okay," Kao’s voice was hoarse from crying.
"Mr. Gulf was wounded badly. The glass from the car pierced him severely. However, we were able to tend to those wounds. But..." The doctor paused, making Kao nervous.
"But what, doctor? Tell me!" Kao raised his voice in panic.
"The glass from his helmet went into his eyes and... there’s a significant possibility Mr. Gulf will lose his vision," the doctor’s words shocked Kao, making him fall, but he was caught by his assistant.
"He... He will be blind?" Kao said, tears streaming down his cheeks. The boy he cherished, the boy he promised to take care of, might be blind for the rest of his life?
"It’s still a possibility, but we need to see the healing progress in the next few days. We will transfer him to a private room as requested. You can visit him after that," the doctor said and then left.
Kao sat there silently, his tears falling. He had so much to show Gulf, but how could he do that now? No! Kao shook his head, determined that Gulf would get better.
"I shouldn’t be this sad when the most important thing is that Gulf is fine. I don’t care if he is blind or disabled because I love him for his heart," Kao wiped his tears and stood up, gaining mental strength.
Kao saw they were transferring Gulf from the surgery room to his private room and followed the nurses. He saw how Gulf was bandaged from head to toe and his eyes were covered. When the nurses left, it was just Kao and Gulf.
Kao walked slowly to Gulf and held his hand, the only part that wasn’t covered. He kissed Gulf’s hand and placed it on his cheek, closing his eyes.
"I was scared, dear... But now you’re here, and I will never let you go alone. Even if you reject me, I won’t listen. Stay by my side, please..." Kao sobbed.
After a few hours, someone knocked on the room door, and Kao’s assistant entered. He bowed and told Kao that they had found the owner of the car. The name that came out of his assistant’s mouth made Kao fall into a chair.
"It’s Mr. Ja’s car."
