Sunghoon & Nari
The night was perfect. Sunghoon had planned every single detail down to the last rose petal, wanting to make Nari's birthday even more memorable. He knew this was the moment—everything in their lives had led to this night. It was finally time to ask her the question he'd been carrying in his heart.
After their passionate morning and afternoon spent together, Sunghoon told Nari that they'd be going out for dinner to celebrate her birthday a little more. He refused to give her any details, only urging her to dress up in her favorite elegant dress.
Nari, curious but excited, wore a stunning satin emerald-green dress that hugged her figure perfectly. As she slipped on her heels, Sunghoon couldn't tear his eyes away from her. "You look absolutely breathtaking, Nari."
She smirked, stepping closer to fix his tie. "You clean up pretty well yourself, Mr. Park." Her fingers brushed against his chest, feeling the strong heartbeat beneath the fabric of his suit.
They exchanged a loving look before Sunghoon took her hand, leading her out of the apartment to where a sleek black car awaited them. The drive was filled with anticipation and sweet conversation, but Nari couldn't shake the curiosity gnawing at her.
"Are you seriously not going to tell me where we're going?" she teased, trying to pry some information from him.
Sunghoon grinned, shaking his head. "Nope. You'll see soon enough. Just trust me."
"I always trust you," she replied softly, squeezing his hand.
The car finally pulled up to a beautiful, secluded restaurant lit up by dozens of fairy lights twinkling in the night. Nari's jaw dropped slightly as she took in the sight. "Wait... is this whole place...?"
"All ours for the night," Sunghoon finished with a proud grin. "Happy birthday, Nari."
She was stunned. "Sunghoon... You rented the whole restaurant for me?"
"Only the best for you," he said with a wink, helping her out of the car.
As they walked into the restaurant, Nari couldn't help but notice how every detail had been perfectly thought out. The tables were adorned with fresh roses, the soft glow of candles flickered gently, and there was a breathtaking view of the city skyline from the windows. A small string quartet played her favorite classical pieces in the background, setting the perfect ambiance.
"You did all this... for me?" Nari whispered, still in disbelief as Sunghoon led her to their table.
"I did. You deserve everything, Nari. You've made my life more beautiful than I ever thought it could be, and I wanted tonight to be just as special for you."
Tears of happiness welled up in her eyes, but she quickly blinked them away, not wanting to ruin her makeup. "You're really something else, you know that?"
Sunghoon chuckled, pulling out her chair for her before taking his seat across from her. "Well, you bring out the best in me."
Dinner was a luxurious affair—perfectly cooked steak, lobster, and a variety of side dishes, all served with a bottle of fine wine. As they ate, they laughed and reminisced about all the incredible moments they'd shared, each memory strengthening the bond between them.
"So," Nari said between bites, "is this how you plan on spoiling me every year on my birthday? Because I could get used to it."
Sunghoon chuckled. "Oh, you haven't seen anything yet. The night's not over, beautiful."
She tilted her head, curiosity piqued. "What do you mean?"
He simply gave her a mysterious smile and nodded toward the window. "Just enjoy the night."
The conversation flowed effortlessly, full of playful banter, heartfelt compliments, and flirtatious remarks. They shared stories from their past, their first awkward dates, and all the times they fell deeper in love. Nari's heart swelled with happiness; she never felt more loved than she did in this moment.
As they finished their meal, Sunghoon took her hand, his thumb gently caressing her knuckles. "You've made me the happiest man alive, Nari. I've never felt this kind of peace and joy until you walked into my life."
Nari smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "You've made me just as happy, Sunghoon. I never knew I could love someone as much as I love you."
He looked deep into her eyes, and she could see the sincerity in his gaze. "I'm glad to hear that because there's something I need to ask you."
Her heart skipped a beat as Sunghoon stood up from his chair, still holding her hand. The string quartet softly shifted to play their song, the one that had always held a special place in their hearts.
"Sunghoon... what are you doing?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Sunghoon took a deep breath, his heart racing as he knelt down on one knee, pulling a small velvet box from his pocket. The world seemed to stand still for a moment as he opened the box, revealing a stunning diamond ring that sparkled in the candlelight.
"Nari," he began, his voice full of emotion, "from the moment I met you, I knew there was something special about you. You turned my world upside down in the best way possible. Every day with you feels like a dream I never want to wake up from. You're my best friend, my love, my everything."
Tears welled up in Nari's eyes as she stared at the man she loved more than anything, the man who was now asking her to spend forever with him.
"Will you marry me, Nari? Will you be mine for the rest of our lives?"
Nari couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She nodded fervently, her voice choked with emotion as she managed to say, "Yes! Yes, Sunghoon, of course, I'll marry you!"
Sunghoon's face lit up with the most genuine, joyful smile she'd ever seen as he slid the ring onto her finger. He stood up, pulling her into his arms, and they shared a kiss that was filled with all the love, passion, and promise they held for each other.
The kiss deepened, both of them lost in the warmth of the moment, their hearts beating as one. When they finally pulled away, they were both breathless and grinning from ear to ear.
"I can't believe this is real," Nari whispered, looking at the ring sparkling on her finger. "I'm going to be your wife."
"And I'm going to be your husband," Sunghoon replied, resting his forehead against hers. "We're going to have the most amazing life together."
They held each other close, swaying gently to the music as the string quartet played on. It felt like they were in their own world, wrapped in the love they had cultivated over the years.
As they danced, Sunghoon couldn't help but tease her a little. "So, Mrs. Park, how does it feel knowing you're stuck with me forever?"
Nari laughed through her tears. "If being stuck with you means getting moments like this every day, I think I'm the luckiest girl in the world."
Sunghoon leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a playful whisper. "You are. And don't worry, I've got a lifetime of surprises planned for us."
Nari raised an eyebrow, smirking. "You better keep things interesting, Mr. Park."
"Oh, I plan on it," he flirted back, planting a quick kiss on her lips. "I'm never going to let you get bored."
They continued to dance, enjoying every second of their private evening. The night was magical, and as they held each other close, they knew they were ready to face whatever life had in store—together.
Later, as they walked back to the car, hand in hand, Nari leaned against Sunghoon's shoulder, sighing contentedly. "This has been the best birthday ever."
"It's only the beginning," Sunghoon replied, kissing the top of her head. "I promise to make every day with you just as special."
Nari smiled, closing her eyes and letting the happiness of the night wash over her. She couldn't wait for their future, knowing it would be filled with love, laughter, and endless memories.
