Sanemi regretted everything he did, trying to think of a plan to get Giyuu back. He knew he couldn't back down so easily.
Meanwhile, Giyuu didn't know where he was going, he just kept walking, hoping to end up anywhere away from Sanemi.
Why the fuck is he so... unreasonable?
Sanemi tried to think, but his mind was so occupied by the thoughts of Giyuu that he didn't know what to do at this point. He didn't lose hope, and he still tried to find out what he could do to make things right.
He tried his best to calm down and think clearly, the only thing that was on his mind being Giyuu.
"I... I can't sulk here like this... I need to get him back..."
He stood up, thinking of all the possible places Giyuu could be.
Where could he go...?
He wondered before his eyes widened.
He must be at Kocho's! He definitely is!
Sanemi cleared his throat, stepping out and making his way to the Butterfly Mansion.
He prepared himself and knocked at Shinobu's door, keeping his posture firm and his gaze determined.
Shinobu walked to the door, suprised to see Sanemi there.
"My... my! What brings you here this morning, Shinazugawa-San?"
Sanemi took a moment to think before speaking.
"I-I came here to talk to Giyuu... Is he here?"
"Eh...? Tomioka-San? He isn't here..." Shinobu paused abruptly.
Don't tell me Tomioka-San did something foolish again...
She thought.
"...Did something happen?"
She looked at Sanemi, concern in her eyes.
Sanemi sighed, showing his frustration.
"I-I have no idea where he is... He just left and stopped talking to me... Just what the hell is going on with him...?"
What in the world did you do this time, Tomioka-San?
Shinobu frowned, stepping aside to let Sanemi walk in.
"Tell me everything."
She closed the door.
Walking in, Sanemi began to explain the argument that he had with Giyuu, the words spilling out of him as if he was desperate to be heard.
"We got into a fight, and he is so fucking difficult to understand! At first, he said that he wanted to be away from me... And then, he snapped at me saying I didn't love him! I got so fucking angry I... snapped."
Shinobu's eyes widened.
Does Tomioka-San always have to ruin things for himself? Why is he so childish?
She sighed out, taking in the information.
"Look, we need to think about this... First of all, what's the main cause of this sudden fight?"
She questioned.
Sanemi ran a hand through his spiky white hair.
"I have no fucking clue! It felt like he said his feelings, and then I reacted to them, and then he... It didn't make any fucking sense! I mean, sure, I did break that 'promise' but... he shouldn't be acting this way!!!"
"Promise, you say..."
Shinobu paused for a while, tilting her head to the side slowly.
"What is this promise that you're talking about?"
"Well..."
Sanemi averted his gaze, and Shinobu could tell he was trying to hide something.
"...I told him I'd eat properly and well, take good care of myself... but I didn't... and according to him, I'm not considering him important... but it's just.... it's my habit. Sometimes, I just don't feel like eating... But whatever the fuck, he shouldn't be worrying this fucking much!"
Sanemi grunted with frustration.
Shinobu's eyes widened.
"A fight over such a trivial matter..."
She sighed, shaking her head.
"Whatever... The only thing that's important right now is your relationship."
"I don't know what to do right now! He's so annoying and..."
Sanemi sighed, unable to express his irritation.
Shinobu nodded understandingly.
"I understand... But, you can't stay away from each other like this... You need to do something!"
Sanemi rubbed the back of his neck with annoyance, his eyes flashing with anger.
"I know, I know... But what am I supposed to do? Apologize? He's the one who's being unreasonable!"
His expression softened slightly.
"But at the same time..."
He paused as he looked up, his pupils dilating slightly.
"But, at the same time... I don't want him to stay upset because of me."
He let out a deep sigh, running a hand through his hair.
"It's just... my fucked up head just overthinks things..."
Shinobu smiled softly, her hand reaching out to rest on Sanemi's shoulder.
"I know how it feels to have a childish partner... But hey, I'd be happy to help you out."
Sanemi looked at her hand on his shoulder, his expression softening.
"But how would you even help me?"
"Don't worry about that... just make sure you don't make him cry again... I'll look after the rest."
Shinobu winked.
Sanemi let out a sigh, looking down at her hand before gently pushing it off his shoulder.
"Alright... Alright, I'll try... But if he keeps being so fucking stubborn, I don't know what I'll do..."
He stood up, looking out the window.
"Fucking hell..."
Shinobu chuckled softly.
"I wonder where he is right now..."
Sanemi turned around to face her, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Must be somewhere out in the forest, sulking. Like a fucking child."
He shook his head slightly, before turning back to gaze out the window again.
"God, I never thought I'd be dealing with this kind of shit..."
Shinobu smiled reassuringly.
"I'm pretty sure he'll be back by dark. He just tries to act tough... he might be pouting and acting angry, but I know he's crazy for you."
She chuckled again.
Sanemi turned to face her again, a small smile forming on the corner of his lips.
"Yeah, maybe you're right..."
He swallowed hard, Giyuu's image forming in his mind. His smile faded with guilt and regret.
"This whole thing... it really started because of me, didn't it?"
Shinobu scoffed playfully.
"Of course not! You were just being yourself. I don't understand why Tomioka-San acts like an annoying..."
She face-palmed, frustrated.
"He loves you, but acts so foolish!"
Sanemi couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, shaking his head slightly.
"I don't know why, but, I still find him so... cute..."
Shinobu smirked, stepping closer.
"That's because you're in love with him..." She said, her voice teasing.
Sanemi looked away, his cheeks turning a slight shade of pink.
"Shut up..."
He mumbled, walking over to the window again.
"Fucking hell... I really am in love with that idiot..."
He let out a frustrated sigh, staring out the window.
Shinobu chuckled softly, looking out of the window too. She thought about the situation for a while.
I'll have to talk to Tomioka-San...
She sighed out.
"For the time being, you should try to impress him, Shinazugawa-San. He really likes it when people pay attention to him..."
She suggested.
Sanemi turned back to face her, his eyes narrowing.
"Impress him? How? I can't just cook for him or something... not like he'd even eat it anyways..."
He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"Why do you say that? Of course he would!"
Shinobu said supportively.
Sanemi looked at her curiously.
"Well, the hell am I supposed to do? First of all, he'd barely look at me! Let alone eating the food I made!"
Shinobu sighed softly.
"Trust me, he's only acting tough! I know he still loves you!"
Sanemi still looked unsure, his gaze shifting to the floor.
"He really loves simmered salmon with radishes! It's his favourite!"
Shinobu added, her tone supportive.
Sanemi's eyes widened slightly at the mention of the dish.
"Simmered salmon with radishes, huh?"
He muttered to himself, his mind racing with the idea.
"Fuck, I can do that..."
He looked back at Shinobu, a determined look on his face.
"Yes, you can."
Shinobu smiled playfully.
"I'm pretty sure he would like gifts too..."
She added, her sound teasing.
Sanemi's face twisted with anger.
"Gifts? He's the one making me mad and, I, need to get him gifts!?"
She chuckled playfully.
"If you love him, you would."
Sanemi's eyes widened and he looked away, annoyed.
"Ugh! He's so annoying! But I guess I'll try..."
He muttered under his breath, gazing at the clouds.
"You could pick a few flowers for him... I'm pretty sure Kanroji-San would love to help you with that."
Shinobu suggested as she smiled a little, thinking of how happy Mitsuri would be with the idea.
Sanemi cringed at the mention of Mitsuri.
"Flowers? And, and fucking Kanroji!? She's the last person I want to ask!"
He looked back at Shinobu, his expression slightly softer.
"But, I guess I could use her help... only if she'd help me..."
Shinobu clapped her hands together, smiling sweetly.
"She would love to! Now that that's decided, should I ask her for you, or would you ask her yourself?"
Sanemi hesitated for a moment before deciding.
"I'll ask her myself..."
He stood up and headed towards the door, muttering to himself.
"Stupid flowers... Stupid Kanroji..."
He opened the door and stepped out, ready to walk to Mitsuri's Estate.
A small hope started to rebuild inside him, his smile back on his face.
His heart started beating fast, as if trying to tell him that he still had...
...A chance.
