Lady bish was in her room with a bottle in her hand and her spirit right next to her purring against her leg. She tilt the bottle down to the side as a small droplet fell onto the dust of magic below her on the desk. She squinted as she mumbled a small "how peculiar" to herself

Suddenly, the cat hissed at the sound of Rhal's booming voice as he smashed through the door. The Royal began yelling out how amazing his battle was and how much blood he was exposed to. The female just smiled gracefully as she hummed a small "I bet it was" as her gaze was still fixated on the sheet of magic.

Rhal made his way to his wife side before kissing her cheek which caused a bit of blood to seep into Lady Bish's dress. The female gasped out that the royal gotten blood on her causing Rhal to explain how it met her cared for her. Lady bish grumbled under her breath as she averted her gaze from her husband as a faint blush crept her cheeks.

The female began rambled on how why he chooses to wear such dirty clothes using magic while the royal explains how it's a symbol of victory and how there was a magic crisis before he stopped while his eyebrows knotted together.

"That reminds me... Asch hasn't been around for months!" Rhal growled as he began complaining on how he was in such a great mood and how something so little has ruined it while shouted out "why me" over and over again.

Last Bish rolled her eyes as she mumbled a snarky comment about him whining some more to bring Asch back as she went back to her little experiment. Rhal knelt down and inched closer to see what his wife was doing as he mumbled out- "what are you doing?"

The female screeched as she overused the bottle of liquid before dust jumped on their face. Lady bish coughed as she wiped away the dust while Rhal stared perplexed before shaking his head. The Royal began to grumble at the scent of fire magic as it remind him of his brother who left his royal duties to him.

The female daemos growled before shouting at her husband to be quiet about the topic as he groaned. She then began grumbling on how she's working on something to help them causing Rhal to guess on what it might be but only for them to be all wrong.

"I'm working on locating where this magic went. The essence should be reacting if it's locatable which will allow me to possibly locate the magic." The female explained as she grumbled how she has gotten close so far so the magic was produce at the palace but ended up somewhere else which is impossible since the magic was used in the past recent months before her eyes went wide.

Rhal groaned how it was useless since it couldn't kill anything causing Lady Bish to give him a glance. The female then order her husband to find her some demon blood which he obviously expected before rushing off. But before he could leave he announce how since his wife was now royal she had access to the scarred library as he sung out a hoarse "I'll be back".

"Wait... I have access to the scarred library.."

It's been a few weeks after the daemos incident. The human and daemos kept their distance for a bit, well mostly cause of the daemos' being too scared to approach to human after her brother scolded them for hurting her.

Lyra respected their small action since she was still struggling on the fact they all wanted her hand in marriage and the thought of her actually marry one of them made her face turn beet red and her heart to flutter.

Though that wasn't all that took up her mind. She remembered hers and Isabella's conversation on her adopting her. It was a long anxious yet exciting waiting process. Yet she still despised the fact that she must visit the monster she once called her mother.

The thought of her sent shivers down her spine and her heart pound harshly against her ribcage. Even when she got her mind off the topic, it still lingered in the back of her mind and possible outcomes. As well as vivid flashbacks.

Sometimes in the night she'd be awoken with heavy breathing and sweat trickling down the back of her neck at a nightmare of her past. Once she was woken, she wouldn't go back to sleep and stayed up until the sun risen.

Which lead her at the place she's at now, sleeping in Pierce's lap as he runs his fingers through her hair which soothed her nerves. The others glared at the blue horned daemos as his were fixated on the human calm features.

"Why does Pierce get to go near the human." Leif growled as his minty eyes glared at the dark cyan colored ones, though Pierce paid no mind to his glare. Rhys shrugged as he explained how the human must feel a sense of comfort towards the knight causing Leif to snarl and Noi to whine.

Asch stood near the window as he watched the humans walk up and down the sidewalk. He frowned before he turned his body and glance at the sleeping beauty as he began to question himself. What's this feeling? It's like a sting to my chest.

The prince didn't like the fact that the princess felt a sense of comfort towards one of his fellow daemos' that wasn't him, a prince. He remembered how his grandmother would tell him stories how princes and princesses always ended up together one way or another no matter what, that's why he so determined to win Lyra's heart.

"Your majesty, you alright? You've been staring at the human for quite a while." Rhys pointed out causing a faint blush to caress the prince's face as he glanced away from the group as he grumbled out a small "I'm fine."

Brushing it off, Rhys also glanced at the human and admired her features. Have they always been this... beautiful? The daemos questioned himself as his lip slightly parted. Never once has he felt something fill his heart in an instant without even trying.

"Wait don't.." the group of daemos perked up at the sudden soft yet scared tone of the human which made their eyes fixated on her. Her body was tense and her brows were knitted together.

"What's going on!" Noi asked frantically as he watched as the princess shuffled around and her breath getting heavy within seconds. Rhys then came to the conclusion that Lyra was having a nightmare about something as he slowly walked to Pierce and sat next to him.

Pierce patted her head gently yet i didn't stop her from shuffling around and her tensed breathing. The knight glanced at the star pupil for guidance as Rhys squinted as he tried to come up with an idea.

"Maybe we should just wake her?" The star pupil while the knight nodded but before he can, the sound of buzzing came from the glass coffee table causing the human to wake up on their on.

Lyra huffed for air as she calmed herself down, her eyes fixated on what she been laying on which made her eyes widened and her face heated up. She sat up only to be greeted by Rhys calm smile that was close in her proximity.

"Morning, princess Lyra." The star pupil greeted while Lyra just chuckled nervously as she got off the couch and picked up her phone quickly only to see the contact of her newfound mother. Picking it up, the human placed the phone against her ear.

"Hey dear, I've got the papers. I'm on my way to pick you up so get ready, alright?" Lyra let out a little, quiet squeal at the new information as she hummed in approval as she hung up the phone and rushed to her room to get ready.

The group of daemos quirked a brow at the human's switch of emotions as they waited for the human to walk out the room to question what made them so happy.

As Lyra got ready, her happiness slowly faded when she remembered she must visit her old home. Glancing at herself in her body mirror, she mentally prepared herself for what may happen once she arrived at her childhood home.

Taking a deep breath, she slipped on her messed up converse to complete her fit. Which was a long sleeve, dark red shirt and a flare jeans. Lyra grabbed her phone, checking it to see if Isabella texted her before stuffing it into her pocket as well as her keys that held both her apartment keys and home keys.

Walking out the room, the female felt the sudden wash of eyes glancing at her form. She looked up to see the daemos' staring at her, some stared with adoration while some stay static.

"C-Can I help you guys?" Lyra mumbled softly while closing her bedroom door, feeling small and vulnerable with all the eyes on her. Noi was the first to speak and asked where she was going causing her to say she was gonna meet up with someone.

"Who exactly?" Asch quirked a brow as his raven eyes glared into the hazel ones, admiring the spark in them. Lyra tensed up before scoff out a "it's none of your business".

The prince growled at the princess's sass while his hand balled up into fists. Sighing, she decided to explain who she was gonna meet up with.

"I'm meeting up with my mother... I need her to sign something." Lyra grumbled as she glanced at the floor saddened which Leif immediately noticed as he growled out if he needed to kill her which Lyra quickly denied though deep down she would've let Leif do it.

Rhys, Pierce and Noi asked if any of them can go causing the human to say it's something she needs to bare on her own terms causing Noi to whine and the other two to hum in understanding. Lyra felt something buzz in her pocket and knew who it was already without even looking.

"Well, I have to head out. Please don't destroy the place or do anything dumb. I'll see you guys in a bit." The human waved with a small smile before disappearing from the daemos' view.

"You ungrateful, piece of shit!" Lyra winced at the loud, booming voice of her drunken mother. It's only been a couple of minutes and she's already being screamed at.

Once her and Isabella got to the house, Lyra insisted that she break the news to her mother since she must face her poor excuse of a mother. And here she is, regretting it deeply.

"Look at me when I'm speaking to you!" Christine yelled as some of her words were slurred yet still understandable. Lyra hesitated but looked at her mother before earning a harsh slap to her cheek that made her tumble to the floor.

Lyra groaned as she placed a hand on her cheek while she tried to comprehend everything but stiffened when her mother raised her foot and kicked the girl's face. Blood trickled down the girl's nose and over her lip as she coughed.

"Have I not supported you all my damn life!" The mother yelled as she stared deadly at the girl. Lyra fear fueled into anger as she frowned.

"You? Oh please! All you fucking did was lay passed out on the couch or beating me with your fists!" Lyra growled out as she stumbled to get up. Her body leaned on the wall for support as she watched her mother eyes flare with flames of anger.

"You think so little of me, don't you? Hmph, you know I wouldn't be like this if you didn't exist?!" Christine growled as she stomped towards the girl, hands shaking from how hard she was clenching them. Lyra shook in fear but stood her ground.

"What do you want me to do! Why would I think so highly about you when all you did was make my childhood a living hell!" The fuming girl yelled out as pushed herself off the wall and took small steps towards her mother. The sound of laughter caused Lyra's heart to pound harshly against her chest as she gulped.

"All you do is whine, it gets quite annoying.." The mother smirked before raising her fist and striking at the girl causing a loud thump to echo in the home. Lyra cried out as the metallic taste of blood filled her mouth. Her eyes immediately flickered to the woman above her as she tried scurrying away.

Christine scoffed as her fingers found the way to the girl's hair, gripping it tightly and tossed her to the floor behind her. Lyra coughed and stiffened when she saw droplets of her blood painting the floor.

"I wish I never gave birth to you... you're such a disgrace." The mother slurred as her long hair swayed with her hips. Lyra huffed for air as it was getting harder to take in the oxygen. Her throat felt dry, her body felt weak, and pain flew throughout all her nerves.

The sound of a knife being flicked open caused Lyra body to tense quickly and her heart to stop beating. The girl slowly looked up to see the woman with a smirk with twirling the blade around her fingers.

"Good thing I can take you out of it.." Christine laughed before rushing to the girl and pouncing onto her. Lyra reflexes kicked in immediately as her hands wrapped around the woman's wrist and held them tightly.

"You crazy bitch!" Lyra yelled out hoarse as her eyes flickered between the blade at the woman as her breath began to quicken and become heavy. Christine smirked once more as she used her strength to push her right hand down further to the girl's face.

The girl watched as the blade inch closer and closer until it got too close in her proximity, she felt it sink into the top of her skin just above the eyebrow and feeling the blade slice through her skin. Lyra used the rest of her strength she gained to push the woman off her and against a small desk.

Lyra got up quickly and rushed to the front door at full speed. Blood rushed down her face as she ran while dark patches filled the corner of her eyes. As she inched closer to the door, it bursted open with the a group of police. The girl smiled as tears formed in her eyes.

The officer rushed over to the girl as she watched her collapsed into her arms while the others pinned down the woman.

"You're alright now... you're safe." The woman says softly as she stroked Lyra's back soothing. Lyra held back tears as she clung desperately against officer before blacking out.

I'm safe...
