Y/n's P.O.V
We were all in the T.E.A, driving to the next location of the third and final ring, to them at least.
After the whole amnesia thing, me, Pigsy, and Tang went to find the others when MK literally dropped out of the sky with the first ring
MK started to explain what happened and how Macaque split them up in a copy of the T.E.A.
MK was going on and on about it because he got his 72 transformation powers back, and the first ring was DBK's nose ring.
Of course, I already knew that, but MK and the others didn't need to know that I knew. Plus, MK likes explaining things, so I just let him do it.
We retrieved the second ring, which was on the moon in Chang'e's kitchen.
Pigsy went with MK and I to get the second ring, and he had a massive fan freak out being in Chang'e's kitchen.
He did steal Chang'e's cook book for a bit and put a recipe of his own in there. We got caught, but Chang'e let us keep the ring, In exchange for Pigsy giving her cook book back.
There was a heartfelt moment there, and Pigsy got to be on Chang'e's cooking show.
But now, we're on our way to the last ring we need.
MK hums to himself, drawing on a piece of paper.
"So, what are you doing, MK?" Mei asks him.
"Just doodling." MK answered, still drawing away.
"Looking good, bud." I picked up a drawing, and it was one of me and MK hugging each other.
"I'm just gonna keep this one." I slowly shoved the picture down my shirt.
"Oh. Did you do any drawings of me, MK?" Tang asks him.
"Yeah. They're over there. I didn't like how any of them turned out, though. It was hard to make you look, uh, cool. You know, you get it." MK gestured to a pile of crumpled up drawings of Tang.
One of them was even pinned to the wall with a pair of scissors.
"What? But I'm like the coolest guy you know." Tang said, feeling hurt.
"Hey, guys. Land ho!" Sandy shouts, making everyone gasp.
Once Sandy parked the T.E.A, we all got out, looking at the bustling village below us.
"Hasn't changed a bit." I smiled.

I immediately regretted those words as we got into a very crowded sky train.
"Okay, maybe it's changed a little." I grumbled while being squished in between a bunch of people.
Once we arrived in Lantern City, we exited the sky train, trying to figure out where the third ring was.
"All right. When the rings were forged, I threw it around here somewhere." I told everyone.
"I thought you hid it?" Mei looked at me.
"Me being me, I was too lazy and threw it into the crust of the Earth, and they seemed to have found it." I explained to Mei.
"Is there some kind of festival going on?" MK looks around at all the lanterns and festival decorations.
"Looks like it." Pigsy said.
A festival. I remember there being a festival just like day. It was the last time me and Macaque were ever on good terms.
Even to this day, I still think we can be happy together again.
We approached a vendor, hoping to get some answers.
"Hi. So what's up, is there some kind of festival going on?" MK asks the vendor.
"Of course. It's the Ring of Light Festival." The vendor told us.
MK started speaking. "Yeah, thay doesn't really explain how--."
"Legends say that Lantern City was once a desolate village, until Monkey Queen thrust the Ring of Light into the Earth, transforming the city into the prosperous metropolis it is today. Every year, we hold a festival celebrating Monkey Queen's gift of the great Ring on Light." The vendor explained.
"So much for the Rings being a secret." Pigsy said, making Tang nod.
I gave a sheepish laugh.
"So. You gonna buy something?" The vendor asked us.
The next thing we knew, MK slammed a bunch of money down and bought everyone some festival apparel.
My festive apparel just so happened to be a fancy red scarf around my neck, along with a silky kimono that was red and gold.
"So what? We're just going to wander around until we stumble upon the Ring, or--." Pigsy tried to speak, but Tang interrupted him.
"Of course not, Pigsy. I think I know exactly where the Ring is." Tang pushed up his glasses.
"It's in the giant lantern in the middle of the city." I stole Tang's thunder.
"How do you figure?" MK asks, somehow sitting in my shoulders.
"As I said, I didn't hide the ring very well, and the only place it can be is in the lantern in the middle of the city. It's two plus two, bud." I told him.
"And two plus two is three. The third ring." MK said excitedly, making the others groan.
"It's actually four, bud." I corrected him, resting my hands on his kegs so he doesn't fall off my shoulders.
I saw a poster and gave it to Sandy. "Here you go, you haven't said anything in a while."
"Can't read?" MK asks.
"I have really bad stage fright." I told him.
After handing the flyer to Sandy, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turned around to see an elderly woman.
"Excuse me, but I can't help but wonder if your son may be a bit big to be on your shoulders." The elderly lady said.
"Oh, he's not. I'm stronger than I look." I responded.
The elderly lady smiled softly. "Oh. Well, that's nice. It reminds me of when my husband would carry our children around on bis shoulder as we attended the festival. Be sure to enjoy every moment with the ones you love."
I smiled at the elderly lady. "Thank you."
The elderly lady nods her head, bidding farewell as she walks off.
"Wait, did she think I'm your son?" MK asks, resting his chin on my head, looking like an innocent child while doing so.
"Well, you are on my shoulders, sweetie." I gave him a smile.
"Hey guys, come on, there's a talent show where we can win the ring!" Mei shouted for us.

We all arrived at the place where the talent show will be, standing backstage.
"So if we win, we get the ring." Pigsy spoke up.
"But none of us have any talents. There's no way we can win." MK lowered his head.
"Actually, Pigsy--." Sandy tried to say, but Pigsy shushed him.
"Sandy! Would you just--." Pigsy tries to keep Sandy quiet.
"Pigsy. Do you have some kind of secret talent that you're not telling us about that might help us win the thing, maybe?" MK peered over at Pigsy.
Pigsy rubs the back of his head. "Uh--."
"Pigsy is an amazing singer, I'm sorry, Pigsy, I had to tell him. His voice is like a choir of angels." Sandy rapidly said.
"Awesome. That's good enough for me. Pigsy will sing, I'll play the bang bangs, Sandy is on the bass, obviously." MK started giving everyone instruments.
"I mean, obviously." Sandy smiles innocently.
MK gave Mei an instrument. "Mei, you get this thing with way too many strings, and Monkey Queen--."
I pulled MK to the side. "Hey, kid, can I talk to you for a moment? Remember when I said I have really bad stage fright?"
"Wasn't a joke?" MK said.
I nodded. "Not even a little bit."
"Y/n, self-proclaimed Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, is scared to perform in front of a crowd?" MK gave me a look.
"I know, I know. It doesn't make any sense." I said nervously.
"Okay." MK nods.
"Thanks for understanding, sweetie." I pat him on the back.
"I can work with this." MK suddenly said.
"Wait, what?" I rapidly looked at him.
"And Monkey Queen can sing to." MK gave me a microphone.
"What did I just say?" I gave him 'the look'.
"Ah don't worry, you'll be fine, you get to sing after us, that way we have a higher chance at winning." MK waved my look off.
My eyebrow twitched. "When we defeat the Lady Bone Demon, I ain't training you for a week."
"Fair." MK shrugs, walking over to Tang.
"And what about me?" Tang asks excitedly.
"Oh, Mr. Tang. For you, I've saved the most important role of all. There isn't a band on Earth that can have any hope to win the Ring of Light without the band manager." MK gave Tang a clipboard.
"Wait, what? You're benching me?" Tang looks hurt.
"Pretty much. All right team. Let's go win ourselves that last Ring of Samadhi." MK said, walking off.

"The Samadhi Fire, huh? So that's how you're going to beat the Lady Bone Demon." I smirked, hiding in the shadows.
I shuttered, remembering LBD's words about erasing the very memory of me.
"We'll see about that." I clenched my fists.
"MK, I'm the mentor, you're the student, you're not supposed to be telling me what to do." I see Y/n talking to MK.
"Come on, Monkey Queen, this will up our chances, please." MK gave her a pleading look.
"Fine." Y/n sighs, giving in. "But if you make me do something like this again, I won't be training you for two weeks."
"Deal." MK perks up.
Y/n shakes her head, chuckling. "That kid."
"Looks like Peaches is going to sing a little song, this should be interesting." I smirked before sinking into the shadows.

I stood backstage, watching as the other preform, waiting for my turn.
I'm still incredibly nervous about singing in front of a crowd.
I've always hated crowds, in this life and my past life.
Listening to them pkay was amazing.
They were on key with every note until Pigsy came up.
Pigsy started singing, and Sandy was right, it was just like a choir of angels.
"So beautiful." I shed a tear.
Once they were done, the crowd clapped for them.
Announcer-"Next up, we have the MQ."
"Good luck, Monkey Queen." MK whispers shouts.
I chuckled nervously at him before approaching the microphone.
I took a deep breath, hearing the music play.
Y/n-"Tell me once again, I could have been anyone, anyone else. Before you made the choice for me."
Listening to the soft beat, I swayed to the sound of the music.
Y/n-"My feet knew the path. We walked in the dark, in the dark, i never gave a dingle thought to where it might lead."
Y/n-"All those empty rooms. We could have been anywhere, anywhere else. Instead I made a bed with apathy."
I felt my heart clench as I sun the lyrics, memories of the past coming back to the surface.
Y/n-"My heart knew the weight. Ten years worth of dust and neglect. We made our peace with weariness and let it be."
Macaque flashed in my mind as I kept singing.
Y/n-"The moon will sing a song for me, I loved you like the sun. Bore the shadows that you made. With no light of my own. I shine only with the light you gave me. I shine only with the light you gave me."
I begin to think what my life would be like now if Char was alive amd here now.
Maybe things would be different.
Y/n-"Name your courage now. We could have had anything, anything else. Instead, you hoarded all that's left of me."
I remember when I accidentally killed him, how I felt a piece of me had been ripped away.
Y/n-"Swallowin' your doubt, like the swords to the pit of belly. I want to feel the fire that you kept for me."
Y/n-"The moon will sing a song for me, I loved you like the sun. Bore the shadows that you made. With no light of my own. I shine only with the light you gave me. I shine only with the light you gave me."
Y/n-"I shine only with the light you gave each me. (I could have been anyone, anyone) I shine only with the light you gave me. (I could have been anyone, anyone)."
Once the song came to an end, MK and the others came on stage, surrounding me.
"Okay. If neither of our performances didn't win, I dint know what will." MK said.
All of a sudden, Tang fell from the sky, landing in Pigsy's arms with the ring in tow.
"The ring!"
"Nice work."
"Go Tangy."
"Way to go, bench warmer." Pigsy smirks at Tang.
Tang laughs nervously. "Guys, Macaque is here. He's after the Rings."

We all ran back the the sky train, getting away as fast as possible.
MK looks over at me. "If Macaque knows about the rings--."
"He'll stop at nothing to get his hands on them." I looked out the window of the sky train, not knowing that Macaque's determination to get to me was growing stronger than before.
A/n-Chapter is done. I do not own the song The Moon Will Sing by The Cranewives.
Have a good day or night.
Next Up: The Queen, The Prince, And The Shadow.
