|Falcon Claw University|
Kawaii-Chan's POV:
This is the 2nd project that Zane and I have been partnered up on and I have no idea how it's going to go because Zane still absolutely hates me...so nothing's changed from high school.
We just moved to university.
But maybe just maybe Zane and I could become friends...I mean we also work together at the cafe and it'd be nice to be friends with him so when we're on shift together and it's not busy, we could talk.
Instead of him just ignoring me and going on his phone after finishing up all his work while I just stand there trying to start a conversation with him that he ends up shutting down.
When we got partnered together, I was grateful to still have his number from high school and was even more relieved to see that he still had the same number.
Now I'm heading to his dorm.
The sky is almost black and I'm pretty sure that there's going to be a huge thunderstorm soon but I didn't see anything about it before leaving for Zane's dorm.
It was almost instant...the moment I stepped into the dorm building it started pouring out and a loud clap of thunder startled everyone in the building.
I opted for the stairs and ran up them, smiling at the people passing by as I reached the top floor and walked down to the end of the hallway where I realized that Zane has a private dorm.
Lucky.
My roommate locks me out of the dorm so her boyfriend and her can hangout without anyone around...all she has to do is ask me to leave the dorm and I'll do it no problem.
Instead she locks me out and I end up crashing at Aphmau, Katelyn or Garroth's dorm for the night because she usually keeps me locked out for days on end.
It's even gotten to the point where leave clothes at their dorms so that I don't have to worry about not having any clothes to change into or anything like that.
It sucks.
Slipping my phone into my bag, I knocked on the door and waited for a moment before the door swung open and a very unamused Zane stood there.
He really doesn't like me.
Zane's dressed in a black hoodie and a pair of dark blue jeans with his usual mask and eyeliner that looks really good on him actually...I wonder if he knows that?
"Hi Zane-Kun!" I chirped happily, he scowled but stepped aside to let me into the dorm, I looked around at the dorm painted dark grey with the entire colour scheme being black and dark grey.
"Sit wherever" He grumbled and walked past me after shutting the door, I looked around some more and decided to take a seat on the little couch in front of a t.v.
"Are you ready for the project Zane-Kun?" I asked, unzipping my bag to pull out my laptop and get everything all set up, at least Garroth's in the same dorm so I have the wifi already.
"I guess" Zane muttered.
"Alright–" Zane looked over at me with a bored expression. "We have to create a company and design a logo, a social media account, an entire website with working sections, a product the company produces, a business report with all the departments of the company, and find one 'investor' for the company" I said and looked over at him.
"Let's just split the work" I nodded my head.
"What if Kawaii-Chan works on the logo, the social media account, and the website while Zane-Kun works on the report, product, and finding an investor for the company?" I suggested.
"Sure" He said.
"We just have to figure out a name for the company" I responded and started thinking about any sort've names for the company but I've never been good at that part.
"Connect Sync Wave" He said...you know what that works and I nodded my head, he seemed content with that and rolled back over to his computer set up to start working on it.
Well that's that.
"Does Zane-Kun want any food? Kawaii-Chan is going to order something" I tried to see if I could get a conversation from him, he looked over at me and nodded his head.
I smiled in success and pulled my phone out...I remembered that Garroth mentioned Zane likes this one diner nearby so I went there and picked chicken burger with some fries and a chocolate shake.
Once I was done, I held out my phone to Zane who put his order in and without me knowing he already put the order through, he tossed my phone back to me.
"Thanks" He said and I nodded my head...that's something at least and that's all that matters, maybe buying him food will help with us talking some more.
I looked down, making sure it went through the right debit card...then I found a completely different card in my account and clicked on it, my eyes widened.
Oh my irene.
Well that explains why Zane just put the order in right away...because he put his card on it to pay for our food instead.
-3 Hours Later-
Sipping on my milkshake, I stopped when the lights suddenly shut off and then my laptop died at the same time...after all the work I've been doing on it.
I looked over at Zane and seen him staring out the window that he had opened the curtains to see out of...oh my irene there's a storm so bad you can't even see out the window.
The power was out and everything...my laptop was dead and so was Zane's and without the internet it's not like he could play on his set up or anything.
Okay then.
"Well Kawaii-Chan is sort've stuck here until the storm let's up Zane-Kun" I said and moved to sit up on the couch again, he nodded his head and I pulled my phone out to text someone.
It's dead.
I looked over and seen that Zane was on his phone that was probably at a 100% right now and would last him for a while before he really had to have a conversation with me.
I let out a huff and leaned my chin on the back of the couch as I thought of ways I could convince Zane to have a conversation with me until the storm lets up and I can go home.
Steal his phone.
I stood up slowly and made my way around the couch, I made it seem like I was going to look out the window that you can't actually see anything out of right now.
When I was close enough, I snatched Zane's phone away from him and backed away, he looked up at me with an annoyed expression on his face and stood up.
"Give me phone" He snapped.
"Have a conversation with Kawaii-Chan and she will" I retorted...he doesn't understand that I can do this all day long because I grew up with 7 brothers who used to torment me for fun.
"Go bother Garroth or something" He grumbled.
"Garroth-Kun is visiting Laurance-Sama at Metli. So Zane-Kun is stuck with Kawaii-Chan unless he wants to send her out into the storm and deal with the consequences from Katelyn-Sama?" I said.
He glared at me...but he didn't say anything else as he dropped down onto the couch with an annoyed sigh and finally nodded his head, meaning he'd have a conversation with me.
"Fine. I'll have a conversation with you" I cheered in excitement and walked over there, I sat down next to him and looked at him with a smile on my face that he ignored.
"What's Zane-Kun's major?" I started off the conversation.
"Business Ecnomics. You" He responded.
"Business with a minor in cooking. What's Zane-Kun's favourite food?" I asked, he looked surprised by my response.
I guess many people don't realize that I'm actually smart too...I'm not just an idiot like most usually assume so it makes sense that Zane would assume the same thing.
"Cupcakes" He grumbled.
"Kawaii-Chan loves cupcakes, she is always making them because all her friends like them too. Although Garroth-Kun tends to inhale most of them before anyone else can get anyone" The earned me a snicker.
Success!
"Garroth tends to do that" He responded and I nodded my head with a excited smile because this is the first time I've actually gotten him to speak to me before.
I continued asking him random questions until I somehow managed to find a subject we both could agree on...and that was video games which he was surprised I liked.
Then we sat there talking about them for hours until the lights flicked back on and I was able to plug in my phone to see it was almost 4 in the morning at that point.
Zane was even nice enough to let me use his laptop charger for a minute just so I can make sure that I didn't lose any of the progress I had been working on before it happened.
Once I knew everything was saved, I turned it to Zane to show him everything that I've gotten done with the website so far, including the logo for our company.
He seemed pleased by that which was another success but I'm still happy about that fact that I got a conversation out of Zane that last longer then 20 seconds.
That's a victory I'll hold onto.
After all of that we decided it was time for me to go home so I packed all my things back into my bag and Zane even walked me down to the front door.
"Thank you Zane-Kun. Let's meet tomorrow to work on the project some more" He nodded his head and I turned around to see that it was pouring out...just not as bad as before.
"Here" I looked back at Zane just as he opened an umbrella.
"Thank you" I said.
"Return it to Garroth" He said and walked off, I smiled and nodded my head as I stepped out into the rainy morning and started the 5 minute walk over to my dorm.
I even pulled my phone out and with the little amount of battery I had, I texted Garroth to let him know that I had gotten an entire conversation out of Zane that lasted hours.
Kawaii-Chan: I got Zane-Kun to talk to me for hours...that's a victory
Garroth responded quickly to my message.
Garroth-Kun: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE LIVE IN THE SAME DORM AND HE PRUPOSELY PRETENDS HE DOESN'T KNOW ME
Kawaii-Chan: A victory for Kawaii-Chan!
